Chapter 11: Ambush

Itachi and Shishui Uchiha were making their way through the Country and were about an hour away from reaching the border. As they ran they could feel that they were being watched by someone from afar. They looked at one another, or more accurately their hands as they went through several hand signs, using the ANBU code.

It was different between every hidden village, so if they were from another village then they won't have to worry about them understanding what they were signing to one another, but if they were from Konoha and were missing-nin then they was a good chance that they would know if they didn't leave the village long ago. The signs that the ANBU would use would be mixed up and changed regularly, at least once every year, so the old use of the signs was unreliable if they ever got that information somehow. Either way they wanted them to make the first move so that they could counter them, and get an idea of who they were dealing with.

Itachi and Shishui stopped walking and merely stood there, practically feeling the bloodlust coming off of whoever was watching them.

(Play Bleach Theme: B13A)

They stood there and waited for their watchers to make the first move. When their instincts flared up they quickly jumped back as a giant of a man with a large halberd appeared in front of where they were and swung his weapon at where the two had been. The attack missed, but he quickly recovered and placed the shaft of his weapon against his shoulder. The halberd had a large silver spike on the top of it along with it a large axe blade and a spike on the back of it that resembled a beak. In the middle of the large bladed weapon was a red gem.

"Oi, who are you?!" Shishui questioned, glaring at the blonde man.

"I don't see how it will do you any good, but I'm feeling generous, so I'll tell you the name of your killer, aka me," he chuckled, smirking. "Name's Astaroth you brats, and I'm going to be the guy that kills you two! It's nothing personal but a job's a job."

Itachi pulled out his tanto and quickly turned around and blocked his attacker's weapon. The sword was a double edged broadsword and was made out of metal that was a light teal color. The guard of the sword was a dull bronze color that resembled a bat's wings folding in on itself. The guard led down to a black hilt that led down to a dull bronze spike on the pummel of the sword. Itachi grunted from the power that his opponents strike had and poured chakra into his arms in order to match it.

The two were in a blade lock for several moments until his attacker ended their struggle and quickly jumped back behind his companion and studied them.

"Ahh, Ahriman did you have to revel yourself, now they're going to choose who to fight and fight us one on one! I wanted to kill both of them at the same time," Astaroth whined, almost as if he was a child that wasn't getting his way, making the two Uchiha look at him weirdly.

The two Uchiha couldn't deny that he was dangerous. His chakra levels were through the roof, and the way that he swung that halberd showed that he was skilled with it, but they still didn't know anything about his abilities or skills, but what caught their attention the most were the blood lust coming off of him.

How could someone with so much blood lust act so much like a whiner?

They put their thought about him aside for now and both decided to fall back to their first plan if they ran into a situation like this, they would divide and conquer.

Separating the two from one another would be for the best at the moment. It would prevent them from helping one another and give both of them a better idea of who they were fighting. They knew for sure that they weren't in the bingo book, since they made it their effort to remember as many faces as they could in the bingo book.

Unfortunately that worked both ways.

It prevented them from working together to take them down and they might not be able to react fast enough to help one another to save them if worst were to happen, and might make it possible for them to take them down to them.

Itachi pulled several kunai from one of his pouches and threw them at Ahriman. Ahriman quickly drew his sword and blocked the kunai easily, and noticed the explosive tags on them and quickly jumped back to avoid the explosion. Astaroth didn't bother to look behind him and see if Ahriman had avoided the attack, because he knew that he would be able to dodge it effortlessly.

Shishui raised one of his hands and did a hand sign and disappeared from his spot. Unlike many who would frown and wonder where Shishui went after he used the Shunshin, Astaroth grinned in excitement. He quickly turned around and blocked Shishui's tanto with his weapon, barely managing to stop him from cutting his neck. Astaroth then easily pushed him back and managed to send him flying through the air.

'This guy's strength is unreal. If I take one hit from him then I'm done for,' Shishui thought as he flew through the air. He managed to recover in the air and, planted his feet on the ground and skidded back, nearly crashing into a tree behind him.

There was no way that he would be able to win a fight against him in a battle of pure power and strength, and maybe only Tsunade would be able to match him in a battle of physical power, so it was a good thing that battles were determined by more than just physical power and chakra levels then.

Shishui quickly jumped back as Astaroth swung the halberd down on the ground where he was, when the halberd hit the ground, the power caused a small crater to form, and dust and rock to be sent flying all over the area.

"…This is gonna be fun," Astaroth said, grinning like a bloodthirsty mad man.

He then turned around and chased after Shishui, with the vigor of an animal hunting its prey, leaving Itachi and Ahriman alone to fight with one another.

Itachi pulled out several kunai and shuriken and threw them at him. Ahriman charged forward and swung deflecting some of the kunai and dodging the rest. Itachi pulled out a kunai and barely managed to stop the sword and threw a punch to counter, but Ahriman stepped back, dodging it. Itachi jumped back and threw the kunai at him.

At first he wasn't worried about it, but then noticed something on the grip. Ahriman's eyes widened when he saw the explosive tag and quickly jumped away, just in time to avoid the explosion. He saw a glint and realized that he was led to a pair of ninja wire. He wondered when he had time to set this up and realized that the kunai that he had thrown were the set up. He quickly cut the wire as it began to dig into his other arm, causing some cuts to form, but they quickly healed. He turned just in time to see Itachi finish going through several hand signs.

"Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!" Itachi exclaimed as he let loose a massive ball of fire at him.

Ahriman raised his sword into the air, pointing the tip of the blade at the fireball and charged forward. As the fireball flew through the air toward him, his sword shined and when it touched the tip of the blade it began to let off a golden glow and the fire gathered around his sword, and the once bright flames darkened until they were a dark bluish-black that danced along the blade of the sword. He brought the blade up and held the sword close to his face, almost as if he was admiring the black flames on his sword.

He swung the blade at Itachi and the black flames flew off of the sword toward him. Itachi jumped out of the way of the flames, the wave of fire hit the grass and trees behind where Itachi once stood.

The wave of fire burned the trees and the grass, and Itachi knew that if that fire had touched his body then he would've been killed by that attack.

Ahriman charged forward and swung his sword at Itachi, Itachi stepped back and bended his body back as he swung again. Itachi moved his Tanto and tried to stab him in the head, but Ahriman leaned his head, causing it to miss as he twisted his body to the side.

Ahriman swung his sword in an attempt to cut his chest but missed, as Itachi twisted his body to the right and threw several shuriken. Ahriman managed to deflect a majority of them but one of them managed to hit the middle of his knuckles, but he didn't let go of his sword. He pulled it out and threw it to the side as Itachi went through several hand signs.

"Water Style: Water Bullet Jutsu!" Itachi said as he sent out several large bullets of water at Ahriman.

Ahriman cut through one of them with his sword and it began to glow again as he quickly moved to the side and dodged the other water jutsu as it flew past him and the water bullets instead hit some of the trees that Ahriman's counter attack had hit. To Itachi's surprise, the fire didn't stop, at all from the attack. In fact, it grew even larger. It was almost as if he was seeing one of the Mangekyo Sharingan's infamous abilities, Amaterasu.

'That sword of his,' Itachi thought, staring at Ahriman's sword, which was glowing faintly, until it stopped. It had absorbed his Fireball Jutsu and his Water Bullet Jutsu, like it was nothing and then when he swung it he threw all of the stored chakra energy back at him.

It seems that Chakra-based attacks, and Ninjutsu, would be useless against him, because of that sword. Itachi grabbed the handle of his Tanto and pulled it out of its sheath. If that was case then continuing to use such attacks against him would be useless. He would have to fight against him with his weapons, and beat him through skill of arms and tactics then.

They both stared at one another waiting for the other to make the first move. The two just stood their ground, as if they were waiting for some unknown signal. In a flash they charged at one another, as if the signal went off. The two weapons clashed against one another, and every time their weapons clashed sparks would form around the two swords.

It was clear to Itachi that his opponent's weapon was far superior to his own, not only because of its ability, but also because of what it was made of. Every time that his tanto connected he could see faint scratches form on it, while there wouldn't be anything on his, almost as if the two weapons had never touched each other in the first place. There was also the advantages that they had just by design. Itachi's tanto gave the edge when he was closer, while his opponent had the reach advantage.

He would need to be careful and watch where he hit him or else his weapon could break on him when he couldn't afford it to.

The two blades clashed against one another. Each one trying to get the edge over the other and throughout the fight Itachi did his best to either parry or dodge his attacks with his body. He didn't want to find out how many attacks his tanto could take before it broke the pressure. Ahriman managed to get a few scratches and minor cuts in, but nothing to major. The same could be said for Itachi as well.

Just like his opponent he managed to get his attacks in and hurt him, his attacks causing cuts and scratches to form on his body. They locked blades once more, and then broke off as a explosion was heard in the background, no doubt caused by the fight between Shishui and Astaroth. When their dance of blades was over Ahriman pointed his sword at him, but to Itachi's surprise he sheathed his sword.

"Why do you sheathe your sword?" Itachi questioned. You never sheathed your sword in the middle of a battle.

"I only intended to stall you long enough for Astaroth's battle to get farther away from our own. Our battle is over. If you want any hope of saving your friend then you will go after him," Ahriman said as a portal of darkness appeared under him and consumed him.

With Shishui and Astaroth

Astaroth chased after Shishui with the vigor of a wild animal as he knocked over trees and anything else in his way by just charging at them making sure that he didn't have a minute to rest or set up any traps.

He ran toward him swung his weapon and cutting several trees in the process, but Shishui managed to dodge it in time. Astaroth saw that he had placed a paper tag on the stump and quickly jumped as it exploded, just barley avoiding the explosion. He looked for Shishui but heard something flying through the air. He turned his head and saw several kunai. He turned and managed to deflect most of them, but one managed to pierce his shoulder, not getting even a grunt from him. When he landed he pulled it out and dropped it onto the ground.

The wound from the kunai had quickly healed up, as if he had never wounded him in the first place. Shishui couldn't help but begin to wonder if his opponent had an advanced healing factor like some clans did, like the Uzumaki clan. He had seen Kushina's wounds heal at an accelerated rate when she was still alive, although Astaroth was much stronger and faster it seemed.

Before he could contemplate further he charged at him even faster than before and tried to punch him. Shishui dodged the punch and tried to hit him in return in the gut but it was like hitting a brick wall. He saw Astaroth smirk as he brought his arm up and tried to bring it down on top of him, but he stepped back.

Astaroth swung his weapon but the halberd missed him by a hair and he quickly activated his Sharingan in order to give him a needed edge. He didn't always rely on his Sharingan in a battle and only used it for emergencies. Some Uchiha tend to rely on it too much and used it as soon as the fight began, while it did make the fight easier they tend to forget how much of a drain it is on their chakra reserves.

When he stared at his opponent he was dumbfounded by what he saw. The Sharingan let him see his opponents' chakra pathways almost like the Byakugan, but not as good and when he saw the chakra circulating through his body, the first thing that he noticed was that it was a reddish-orange color instead of the standard blue.

"Let's see what those eyes of yours can do when they're like that shall we?" Astaroth asked rhetorically, noticing the change in his eyes and knew that they weren't just for show.

Shishui found it easier to dodge and parry his attacks. He couldn't take the risk and try to block his attacks; he would be destroyed if he tried to take any of his attacks head on, especially with the kind of strength that he showed earlier. If he wanted to survive then he had to either dodge or parry his attacks and counter when he could. The attacks seemed to slow down to him, but not by much. His Sharingan gave him an enhanced clarity of perception and some predicative capabilities, but that he didn't mean he chould afford to slow down and take it easy.

He charged forward and managed to get cut on his thigh, shoulder, but stopped him from continuing any further. He put some distance between them and he saw his eyes. Those eyes of his held joy as the fight went on.

"Yes!" Astaroth exclaimed, having a shark-like smile on his face, as he continued. "My blood is boiling now! Keep fighting me! Show me the power that Humanity has obtained!"

'Humanity has obtained?' Shisui wondered. The way that he spoke was almost as if he wasn't including himself among them. As if he wasn't human.

Astaroth charged forward and swung his weapon, but Shishui ducked under and stepped forward, hopping to stab him, but Astaroth had blocked his attack with the shaft of his halberd, and then pushed forward, sending Shishi flying a few feet away from him.

Shishui quickly went through several hand signs and took a deep breath of air and then fired a large fireball at Astaroth, he then quickly pulled out several shuriken, and when he saw Astaroth move to dodge his Fireball Jutsu he threw them at him. He easily dodged the fireball, but the shuriken managed to pierce his chest and shoulder, but didn't slow down at all and continued to charge forward.

He swung his weapon again and Shishui had to put a little more effort to dodge it and wanted to get in closer, but he couldn't. This time Astaroth wouldn't let him get close, and kept him out of his reach.

As the fight went on Astaroth was slowly putting more effort into the fight, getting better as the fight went on. As the fight continued he put more skill in his attacks, more style, and finesse then the last and the next one having more than the one before it. As the fight went on a gut clenching thought went through his mind that caused the hair on the back of his neck to stand up.

He was getting better.

He had seen this multiple times in trainers or teachers when they fought their students. It made him wonder just how good of a fighter his opponent was, and what he was hiding up his sleeves. Not many fighters did this and those that did it, do it only because they wanted to see just how good of a fighter their opponent is, before they go all out or because they want the fight to go on for longer than it needs to be and play with their enemy.

Astaroth stared into Shishui's eyes and noticed that his were eyes changing. The black tomoes were gone and in their place was a single black shuriken in each eye. He wondered what was going to happen next, but continued with his attack and swung his weapon at Shisui.

A dark red and black energy formed around his weapon and he swung his weapon horizontally and sent a crescent of red and orange energy flying at his opponent. The crescent of energy tore the ground apart as it flew through the air, causing clouds of dust to appear, and rocks to go flying all over.

'I have no choice,' Shishui thought. It was too big to dodge up and he could still be injured if he tried to go under it. He quickly performed the one technique that could stop that attack and maybe give him the win.

Right before the attack hit there was a massive increase in chakra from Shishui, and a massive cloud of dust and smoke to cover the battlefield. Astaroth knew that he had a trick up his sleeve that would allow him survive the attack and possibly let him continue to fight.

Astaroth stared at the smoke, waiting for it to clear so he could see what Shishui had did exactly. When the smoke cleared his eyes widened, surprised that Shishui had not only managed to survive, but also come out completely unscathed. But what really caught his attention was the being over Shishui like a guardian deity.

Shisui stood inside a gigantic being that was made out of green fire. The ethereal being had a wide mouth with elongated lower canine teeth. The construct had rounded shoulders with blade-like appendages on them as well as on the side of its face and along its forearms. Its right arm wielded a drill-like lance.

"Oh. My. Satan," Astaroth said, his eyes as wide as saucers as he gaped at the flaming ethereal being that surrounded Shishui with an open mouth, but much to Shishui's surprise that mouth quickly turned into a smile.

"Heh…Heh…Heh…Hehehe…Hehehehe….Heheheheheheha!" Astaroth laughed. "Oh my Satan, you've just made this fight even better! I honestly wasn't quite sure what to expect when I got some free reign to do what I wanted against someone like you, but this was not something I expected, but I ain't complaining! You just made my day buddy!"

As soon as he said that his power soared, growing bigger by the second, until it was at least twice as big as Lady Tsunade's own chakra reserves, surprising Shishui.

He pointed the tip of his halberd at the drill and thrusted it forward as the lance in Susanoo's hand charged, intent to run him through. The tip of the lance met the tip of the halberd's own blade and a large gust of wind appeared, sending dirt and rocks flying, and damaging some of the nearby trees.

Shishui had expected for the man to be blown away from the power of the attack, but to his surprise Astaroth had stayed where he was, as if the attack had never came.

Shishui gritted his teeth as the battle continued. He couldn't keep this up, not with Susanoo activated. Susanoo might've allowed him to fight Astaroth on even terms, but he didn't have the chakra reserves to win this. His reserves were much smaller compared to his opponent, and if he ran out then he was as good as dead afterwards.

Shishui attacked again, and his opponent managed to surprise him once again by managing to deflect his Susanoo's sword and redirect it. He tried again and again, but whenever he tried he would always block it or redirect it. When Astaroth tried to cut through and attack him, Susanoo would protect him from the attack, but every time it protected him he felt himself getting weaker by the second.

He needed to end this fight as soon as possible.

The ethereal being's chest opened up, surprising Astaroth and fired large green spear-like needles at him. Astaroth quickly brought up his weapon and blocked them, but several of the needles impaled Astaroth's body and he gasped as several needles pierced his chest, his right shoulder, and his left leg. Blood poured forth from the wounds on his body, but he didn't fall over, in fact his smile grew larger despite all of the wounds he had obtained.

Susanoo's chest closed up and Shishui could only stare in surprise at how he was still able to stand after that last attack and all of the damage that he had taken. It would've killed a normal man or at the very least put them on the Shinigami's door mat.

"It'll take more than these needles to kill me brat!" Astaroth laughed, smiling. Blood was trailing down both sides of his mouth. "To make me bleed like this is no small feat! I'm still holding a lot of my power back, but you still should consider yourself honored that you managed to push me this far!"

His power increased even more as a reddish-orange aura appeared around his body, and his eyes began to glow like two small orange gems. He charged forward

Shishui began to nervous as he had one last move in his arsenal. It was a gamble but if it worked then he would win, but there was no guarantee that it would work.

He poured all of his remaining chakra into his Susanoo's lance as it raised its hand almost as if he intended to bash him away. As Susanoo brought its hand down, forcing the man to dodge, its lance flew forward at him and stabbed the man as a torrent of fire enveloped the upper half of his body. An explosion happened and formed a large crater. Shishui's Susanoo's removed its sword from the crater and placed it back at its side. Shishui's Susanoo's slowly began to dissipate until it was no more. When it was gone Shishui breathed heavily and he felt like he was on the verge of passing out.

(End Bleach Theme: B13A)

Whoever the Elders had hired to kill them they were certainly strong. He wondered just how much they had to pay to get both of them to come after them and kill them.

His Sussanoo slowly died down, until it disappeared completely. Shishui was on his last leg and could barely stand.

Astaroth jumped out of the crater that he was in, surprising Shishui. He shouldn't be alive, let alone standing and jumping from that last attack. The upper portion of his outfit completely destroyed, and he was covered in his own blood and had bruises and scrapes all over his body. Despite all of the blood all of the injuries he was smiling as his wounds quickly healed up.

He raised his weapon into the air and before Shishui could do anything brought his halberd down and cleaved off Shishui's arm. Shishui hissed in pain, and glared at Astaroth, but that only made his smile to grow wider in response.

"Most people would cry in pain, when they lose in an arm, but you merely hissed," Astaroth said, truly impressed. "Got to say hat's off to you, but I'm not done yet."

He then charged forward and punched Shishui into a tree and then threw his body down onto the trunk of a tree. Shishui coughed up blood and before he could do anything he was stabbed in the stomach, as the axe blade of the halberd cut off his hand.

Astaroth took some deep breathes and then crouched down on the ground until he was almost eye level with Shishui. Despite all of the damage done to him throughout the fight he felt no need to try and find a way to get revenge. It is bound to happen whenever a person decides to fight.

Torturing him would just be insulting to him as a warrior, and to himself.

"You put up one hell of a fight buddy, especially for a human, and for that you have my respect," Astaroth said, smirking.

"You…keep talking…like you're not human," Shisui said, noticing how he kept saying how he kept referring to him, as a human and Humanity in general.

"Because I'm not," Astaroth replied, his smirk growing. Shishui felt him place two fingers on the side of his head, right behind his eye socket. "I'm a big bad monster, a Demon. Just like the Kyuubi, and the other Tailed Beasts."

Before Shishui could say anything he felt a searing pain pierce the side of his head, around his eye, and knew that Astartoh was causing the pain and was pulling his eye out of its socket. He gritted his teeth and growled lightly in response but did not scream or cry out as the searing pain where his eye was grew more intense by the second. It reached its climax when

He glared at the man with his one good eye, which Astaroth noticed. Astaroth smiled at Shishui and he could tell that it was a true sincere one. It was not the smile of a blood hound that craved battle; it was not the smile of a sociopath. It was a smile of respect.

"You got quite the pain tolerance buddy," Astaroth commented, truly impressed with Shishui's pain tolerance. "I've met dozens of people that screamed out in pain and beg for death to come to them when they lost an eye, and suffer the pain that you're going through now, and yet you aren't doing anything like that. People like you, are truly strong. Only people like that can deal with the pain that you're dealing with now and have the guts to glare at me. You're my favorite kind of opponent, and for being a worthy opponent, I'll give you a quick death, you deserve that at the very least. But do you have any last words? Any questions I don't mind answering any?"

"Why? Who hired you?" Shishui questioned.

"The Elders of the Uchiha Clan hired me specifically to kill you and Itachi Uchiha. My friend was someone that decided to tag along for the ride," he replied, surprising Shishui.

"You awfully… willing to tell me… who hired you," Shishui gritted out. He didn't take him that seriously when he said that. He thought that he was joking with him and clearly he was wrong.

"Not like I care about what happens to the old farts back at the Uchiha compound," Astaroth shrugged. "Besides you deserve it. You're a warrior, you have the heart of one and deserve respect before you die. One last thing the elders plan to launch the coup in a few days, a tomorrow at the earliest. Now then, may you find peace after life fellow warrior."

Astaroth raised his weapon, pointing the spike at Shishui's heart to give him a quick death. Before he could he was forced to deflect several explosive kunai and ran, leaving the battlefield.

Itachi quickly appeared and checked on Shishui. When Itachi saw Shishui, his eyes widened in shock at the condition that his friend's body was in; Shishui was missing his right arm and he had a large gash on his chest, along many smaller cuts and bruises on his body, but what stood out the most was the damage around his right eye.

Or rather where his eye should've been.

From the look of the wound he would say that guess that Shishui's eye was literally torn out of its socket.

He choked as a pit of despair formed in his stomach. He was a person that could control his emotions, but even he had his limits, especially when his friends and family were involved. It hut to see his closest friend in such a state.

"Tachi," Shisui said, weakly.

Itachi's eyes widened and he saw Shishui smiling at him, with a lopsided smile. He closed his eyelid, covering the whole of his torn eye, as he looked at him, with the same happiness and cheer that he had showed many times before.

"He thought this would kill me…. and he's right. I'm dying," Shishui said.

"They were… hired to kill us…by the elders" Shisui said, and coughed up blood. "They knew…that our loyalties lied…with the village. The attack… will happen soon. Please… protect… Konoha," Shishui said weakly.

"I will," Itachi swore.

Shishui smiled weakly, but then fell over dead, seemingly at peace with himself.

Itachi could only stare at his old friend's lifeless body, as a wave of despair hit his heart. He held back his emotions for now and pulled out a sealing scroll and channeled some chakra into it, and in a puff of some a glass jar appeared in the center of the scroll. He opened the jar, and grabbed a kunai from his pouch. His grip on the weapon tightened as he took a deep breath, preparing himself for something that he would rather not do. But that didn't matter, he had to do this.

For Shishui.

He held the blade to the side of Shishui's head, just behind his one good eye and then plunged the blade into the side of his friend's corpse. He cut out the eye and when it was loose enough he pulled it out.

He placed the eye into the jar and then sealed it shut. After he did he poured more chakra into the scroll, causing the jar to be absorbed into the Sealing Array on the scroll in a puff of smoke. After the jar was absorbed into the sealing array he rolled up the scroll and placed it inside his pouch.

He would need to make plans about what to do with it later, but right now he had more important things to do. He looked at Shishui's body and sniffed as he took one last look at his friend's body. This would be the last time that he would ever see Shishui's face or body, because he had to destroy it.

It was standard protocol that a Ninja who died out in the field to make sure the village secrets which a ninja's body holds , such as chakra types, herbs eaten, ninjutsu, special medicine, and kekkei genkai, will not be revealed to outsiders.

He stared at Shishui's body for a few more minutes, remembering all of the training that they did, all of the practice fights, and Shishui's cheerful nature. As the memories played out in his head he quickly went through several handsigns.

"Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!" Itachi exclaimed, firing a large fireball at his closest friend's corpse. The fireball hit the corpse dead on and the corpse began to burn starting, with its hair, and clothes, and soon its skin. It wasn't long before the smell of burning flesh was in the air.

Itachi watched as his closest friends, a person that he saw as a brother, body burned into ash. Shishui was someone truly understood him, who understood his beliefs and had taught him his own clenched his fist as tears began to pour out of his eyes. He sniffed as he stood up from the ground and gazed at his friend's body.

He still remembered his friend's words about what he believed made a true Shinobi, almost as if he had said them a few minutes ago.

"Self-sacrifice… a nameless shinobi who protects peace from within its shadow…"

His tears began to pour out in full force and as they did his eyes began to hurt, his Sharingan activated against his will and he felt something change about them and grunted as he closed his eyes from the sudden pain. When it passed he pulled out a kunai and looked at his reflection on the blade, or rather his eyes, and to his surprise, his Sharingan had changed.

No longer did it have the three tomoes' and instead it had what resembled a shuriken in his eyes.

The Mangekyou Sharingan, the advanced form of the Sharingan.

He needed to return to Konoha as soon as possible. If the Uchiha Council was willing to kill them now than it was likely that rest of the Uchiha clan is going to make their move sooner rather than later. Which means he would have to take…drastic measures if he got there before they tried anything.

He just hoped that by the time he got their he wasn't to late.

The reason why this took so long was because I had a shitty couple of months. Started with grandpa having to go to the hospital for surgery. To me getting in an accident. Cousin was driving and now especially. I always knew that she was the accident prone with the car since she's been in four accidents in 3 years. I had a busted leg and had to get rehab after it healed, and still going.

And also I would had this out sooner, but the chapter was giving me problems. I had hit a roadblock. Because I kept rewriting I wasn't satisfied with it for the longesst time and decided to break it down in order to finish it.

I have good news though. The next chapter will be out a lot sooner. Like I said broke the chapter down in order to finish it. The next one is already around 6000 words, and still growing with any luck it'll be out in the next few days 2 weeks most. And I have an outline for the third 13 Chap.

Also there is a poll on my page for afterwards. For part 2 for Nero and where he will go for his training trip and where Caim and Kazuma will train as well and where they will go to train and such will will affect pairings for them and plot for Nero.

Now would you kindly let me know your thoughts in a review.
