Hey guys! So this is gonna be a fairly quick update. I just really want to start touching base on a lot more with Blaine's state of mind and such. Oh my god, i know this is random, but i smell laundry detergent. Like... I'm in a library. Wtf.
Okay. Anyway.
So, here we go.
Notes: Kurt is in the Psych ward. Sebastian hasn't called Blaine since they had coffee that first time. Blaine has no words from his parents. His sister, Ebony, works with the police department.
The sun poured into the room as if the world was letting it fall from a cup of light, streaming in dancing beams through the window. The happy sound of birds were arising, as well as clear blue skies and light, fluffy clouds; clear in contrast to Blaine's mood.
He sucked in a deep breath, taking in the sweet lavender scent that is pure Kurt. He had the blankets around his legs, and he was holding a pillow to his chest, his face buried in another. He had laid in bed for two days, only getting up to get food and go to the bathroom. He was sad Kurt was gone. He missed him, and it had only been two days. He sighed to himself; he shouldn't be complaining. He at least got to have this bed, which was probably far comfier than any bed in the ward.
He sat up, still holding the pillow protectively, as if it were Kurt himself. Suddenly the song Teenage Dream by Katy Perry started to play on his phone. He picked it up and saw an unknown number. He slid the button on the screen to answer the call, pressing it to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Blaine."
Blaine blinked. This voice was familiar. Really familiar. Nasal-sounding and egotistic.
"...Sebastian?"
"You remember me? That's so sweet."
Blaine blinked, frowning, but brushed it off.
"What's up..?"
"Oh, nothing. Just heard your boy is in the psych ward. Tough break. Thought you might want some.. Company."
Blaine blinked again, completely oblivious to his implications.
"Sure. I've just been laying around in Kurt's bed for the past two days, so I guess it'd do me good to get out of the house."
"You sleep in his bed..?"
"Well, I live with him..."
"Why don't you go home?"
Blaine swallowed thickly. "This is my home."
"...Alright. Well, Lima Bean. Half an hour?"
Blaine looked at the clock; 10:32 am.
"Um. Sure, okay."
"I'll be waiting."
Sebastian hung up, cutting off the line as the tone went dead. Blaine stared at his phone before setting it back down on the bedside table. Before he went to have coffee, he needed to see Kurt, even if for a minute.
Kurt laid in the bed, staring up at the roof solemnly. He was already absolutely sick of this place. He wasn't allowed to wear shoes, he couldn't have strings or anything sharp, meaning he couldn't wear his pins or anything. He sighed, flipping onto his side.
Plus the food was awful.
He closed his eyes, snuggling himself into the sweater Blaine had left him. He smelled the sleeves, and they had a warm, strong smell; all boy, and completely Blaine.
"I'm glad you enjoy the sweater, Kurt."
Kurt shot up in his bed, a smile plastering itself onto his face as he heard the voice. He jumped off, running to hug Blaine.
"Blaine! You came to visit!"
Blaine smiled, rubbing his back.
"I've been moping for two days in your bed. I got a call from a friend to go for coffee but I wanted to see you first. Sorry I haven't been to visit yet. I promise i'll come every day from now on."
Kurt smiled, nodding. He kissed Blaine's lips sweetly. Blaine bit his lower lip gently, using the gasp that he got from Kurt to slide his tongue into Kurt's mouth.
They pulled apart, breathing slightly harder.
Kurt sighed, leaning his head into Blaine's neck, running circles on his hips with his fingers.
"I've missed this... I've missed you."
Blaine nodded, kissing his ear.
"Me too."
Kurt pulled back, looking at the clock as it read 10:56 am.
"When are you meeting for coffee?"
"11 am or so."
"You should go..." Kurt looked up into his hazel eyes, putting one of his hands on Blaine's chest. "Will you come back after?"
Blaine nodded, smiling.
"I already asked the nurses and they said I could bring you food if you wanted. And coffee too. Do you want me to bring you a non-fat mocha? And something to eat besides hospital food? I can be here shortly after noon."
Kurt smiled widely, nodding.
"You're the best thing ever!" He hugged him and Blaine laughed, holding him tightly, knowing he'd have to let go soon. But not for long.
He knew he'd never have to let go of Kurt forever. He wouldn't allow it.
He pulled back from the hug, then pulled Kurt into a deep kiss, and Kurt whimpered softly, wrapping his arms around Blaine's neck. Blaine pulled back, their lips making a soft smacking noise, and the two smiled brightly.
"I love you."
They laughed as their voices melded together in a sweet, soft, unison whisper. Blaine kissed his cheek and played with his fingers in his for moment before slowly letting go.
"I'll be back in an hour, okay?"
Kurt smiled sadly, nodding.
"I'll miss you."
"I already miss you."
Kurt blushed, smiling and waving as Blaine left. He watched as two nurses passing by followed his tracks and gazed at him, smilling as they took in his form. Kurt frowned slightly, but sighed. He knew Blaine was attractive; no, he was actually incredibly hot. He couldn't help that. But Blaine was all his, and nobody else's.
Kurt smiled, running a finger over his lips gently as they tingled.
All his.
"You're finally here. I thought you'd skipped out."
Blaine sat down, sighing.
"Sorry i'm late..."
"What took you so long?"
Blaine looked up at Sebastian, smiling back in courtesy as Sebastian was already smiling at him.
"I wanted to check on my boyfriend. See how he's feeling."
Sebastian's toothy smile turned into a closed-mouth smirk. His lips twitched, but he nodded.
"I see."
Blaine just smiled, pulling off the lid of his coffee, blowing on it gently.
"So, Blaine. Let's stop beating around the bush here."
Blaine looked up, confused.
"What?"
Sebastian's eyebrows raised, and once again, that cheeky grin returned.
"Seriously? Your innocent act, really- It's super hot."
Blaine became stiff, cursing inwardly. He had walked right into someone who was going to cause tension between him and Kurt.
Him, an emotionally unstable recovering self-harmer.
And Kurt, a psychologically distressed rape victim.
Shit.
Blaine sighed, rubbing his temples.
"Sebastian, I have a boyfriend..."
"He doesn't need to know."
Blaine looked up, groaning inwardly.
"No, Sebastian, look... We're both really unstable right now. We are going through a tough time, the both of us, I mean, he's in the pysch ward for christ's sake. I could never do that to him. Ever. I wouldn't live with myself."
"So maybe you need someone who can help you release tension, since he's obviously not willing to give you what you want."
Blaine looked up, blinking. He knew he was talking about sex. But everyone in the Warblers knew that Kurt had been raped. Even Sebastian.
"I don't expect him to. I love him. He loves me. That's all that matters to me. I'm not in it for sex."
Sebastian smirked.
"Such a sweet innocent little boy act. I can see right through you. I know you want to have sex. You want to be intimate with someone, get that physical aspect. Kurt won't give it to you. He's weak."
Blaine glared at him.
"Stop. Kurt is the single strongest person I know. He's the only person I know who can deal with what he went through, and be as mentally stable as he is. I am proud to call him my boyfriend, and say that I am going to be with him forever. He means everything to me, and he is perfect, and I will wait as long as it takes for him to be my first. So please, stop it. I don't want to do anything of that sort with you. I love Kurt, and if you won't respect that, then i'm sorry but I don't want to try to be friends with you. Because that's all i'll ever want with you."
Sebastian lifted his hands.
"Calm down. Fine. I'll back down... For now."
Blaine raised an eyebrow at him dangerously, sipping at his coffee.
God knows what he's gotten himself into.
Blaine walked to his car, unlocking it and pulling the door open. He set down Kurt's coffee in the holder, jumping in and closing the door. He whipped out his phone to check the time, when suddenly it vibrated furiously. He slid the button over and answered the incoming call.
"Hello?"
"If you don't get out of Lima in the next five days, I will make sure your blood is all over the roof."
The line went dead and he froze, his eyes wide and his mouth gaping. He dropped the phone and started to shake, his stomach turning wildly, tears beginning to form. That voice. It couldn't be...
"...Dad..."
And that is all for now. CLIFFHANGER.
-Echo.
