The Star Wars and Harry Potter franchise(s) belong to their respective owners. This is a work of pure parody, and appreciation from a mere fan. No profit is sought or accepted from the use of these trademarked properties, and the following is written under any/all terms of fair use as may exist covering creative use.
Summary: Another addition to my ficlet file, this story follows along with my version of Master of Death (MoD) Harry ending up in the Star Wars Universe after years of life and mastering the magic of Earth, Harry, after decades of covert study of the Veil of Death, speculates that it is a partially formed portal he will be able to utilize, with the assistance of a specially constructed runic bio-suit, to cross the divide to discover the final destination of the veil. After viewing the decline and near death of the Wizarding World, and agonizing over the potential death of magic on Earth, Harry, with the assistance of the Potter and Black fortunes, has amassed a truly genetically diverse magical and muggle menagerie, seed vault, and resources to depart Earth with the hopes of ensuring the continuation of magic, wherever he ends up.
There may be a partial crossover with Star Trek in this fic, but if so it will be minor, and only relative to technology and ship design vs. character(s) with regard to the main crossover (HPxSW).

***Galactic Grid D-9; Terran Sector***
It had been more than three years since the Rakattan attack and Randathan Coup attempt. Where before a shaky peace had arisen among neighbors, now existed a solid alliance and growing interdependence between the Randathan and Terran peoples.
Viceroy Sa'Wahlara had received emergency medical treatment from the Terrans, and was one of many beneficiaries of a prosthetic eye and their amazing healing capabilities, and had chosen to step down as Viceroy and had accepted permeant assignment as Ambassador to the Terran Government. He was one of the first true graduates of the International College of History, and occasionally put his own knowledge and education to use as a guest lecturer on Randathan and Rakattan courses.
A treaty was currently before the Terran Parliament, from the Randathan Council, on a jointly controlled University which would focus on Engineering (Civilian and Mechanical), Mathematics, Medicine, and Law; but there was quite a bit of resistance to this idea in the Terran Parliament. They may have been neighbors for five years, and close allies for over 3, but that didn't mean the Terrans were ready to part with all of their technological abilities yet.
Harry's plan to increase their numbers with the Artificial Womb program was paying dividends already as the first generation of Terrans were being enrolled, by and large, into pre-school programs and starting their first rounds of vaccinations and potions to ensure they were as healthy and as stable as possible. While Harry had not directly manipulated the gene sequences of the children born, almost 95 percent of the children born had been tested and found to have developed the beginnings of a magical core.
The dozen or so wand makers that had joined the group prior to leaving the prime universe had been ecstatic to begin exercising their craft once more.
Over the last three years the reach of the Terrans had expanded to neighboring systems, to the benefit of the Randathans, and colonies had been established on not less than 15 additional "M" Class planets or habitable moons, with their native ecologies studied and cataloged. So far, one of their primary colonies, called White Water for its many mineral springs, was a moon orbiting a dessert planet which was saturated in magical plants and indigenous species.
Potion Masters, Herbologists, and Masters of almost any field touching on natural magic were having a field day setting up research camps and centers on the moon. While New London served as the political center of live for all Terrans, muggle and magical, White Water was quickly becoming a magical enclave.
The Terran Parliament had passed strict building codes and zoning ordinances for the occupation and residency of all colony worlds so to preserve the natural ecology and limit sprawl, and as a result the wizards with engineer cousins or friends had decided to design and build a massive apartment building, which was actually a terrestrial locked ship capable of sustained flight and/or hovering for up to 180 days without needing to return to its dock for refueling and maintenance.
This massive floating structure was one of the few projects that civilian Terrans and Randathans had collaborated on, and developed quite powerful repulse coils and engine systems which did not require Dilithium as a necessary component. The Randathans that were part of the project had been provisionally cleared to live in the structure they helped design, as well as received a license to lawfully work any civilian job at White Water, or surrounding orbital station(s).
The Grand Admiral had formally adopted the British Naval Rank and Uniforms from the 1990s to serve as the uniform and means of promotion and demotion of authority for all Terran Starships of the Terran Navy; presently, the leasing of civilian star ships would be done through a Merchant Marine Corps which would still be answerable as a division of the Terran Navy, but manned by civilians in an effort to prevent the wide spread proliferation of FTL or Terran Technologies.
A Terran Com Badge for Navy Officers and Military Personnel and Government Officials had been designed of a phoenix outstretched in perpetration to fly. Bars of gold (Navy) or silver (Merchant Marines)would denote the rank of the individual wearing the badge. For Civilians use, the phoenix was made of a blue metal vs. the red of the Navy or Merchant Marine.
***Aboard the TSS Leviathan, 50 Million Miles from Terra Nova; Half Way between Terra Nova and the Frost Planet Designated Terra 4***
Harry was dressed in his Blue No.3A Uniform as he say in the Command Chair of his personal ship, the present Flagship of the Terran Fleet, the monstrous TSS Leviathan (Naval Central Registry 10 (Capitol Class) 09 (Dreadnaught) 001 (Ships Number)) NCR-1009001.
With the Permeant Space Expansion Charms in 7 of the ships massive Hangers, the ship served as a mobile fleet able to deploy 25 fully equipped Class IX. Carriers, and a multitude of other vessels and 5 Defiant Class Heavy Escorts, with heavily modified pulse phasers.
Initial shakedowns of the ship had shown that the power requirements consumed the available Dilithium crystals at a rate that prohibited long term deployments, and that the phased cloak could only be used for around 2.5 hours before the phase coils began to fuse in the warp nacelles; but otherwise the scientists tasked with solving the problems presented were exploring several magical variants of crystals and gems for their potential use as fuel, and scout ships and probes had already been deployed into the Terran Sector of space in search of alternative fuel sources.
I wonder what would happen if we were to utilize thin slices of the Philosopher's Stone I made all those years ago, Harry thought as he contemplated the problems his ship had highlighted during its initial months in operation. The crystalline matrix itself resonates as a higher frequency than Dilithium, and I'd always suspected that it would provide a breakthrough in the creation of a stable slipstream drive if the information pilfered from the USS Voyager was at all reliable. Perhaps it's time I moved up the testing schedule on the development of the transwarp conduits and slipstream drives to see which would be more beneficial long term.
Harry pulled out a secured pad and accessed a private database only he and Serenity could access and began looking over the design schematics and information contained from a Borg Cube's central computer core he'd recovered after the encounter at Wolfe 359 before Section 31 could get their greedy mitts on it and squirrel it away for non-use.
The Mithril shell designed for the conduit-housing will be more than capable of regulating the pressures of sub-space and handling the excessive forces and stresses a normal ship would experience; the Borg's reinforcing the conduits with partial physical structures was merely to allow faster navigation speeds the natural subspace corridors the Vaadwaur discovered and to physically enlarge them for fleet movement. Harry typed a few commands and brought up the sensory map a subspace probe had generated showing the subspace conduits which were naturally occurring in or near their system superimposed on the map of the Galaxy that the Randathans had given him.
Harry continued in his thoughts and plans as he was approached by an Ensign carrying a datapad for his review of the upgraded power systems and backups recently installed on the ship to relieve some of the strain on the Warp Core.
"Thank you Ensign Wade," Harry stated as he reviewed the information she'd provided. "Has there been any strain on the primary reactors devoted to the weapons systems since we switched the primary draw to them vs. the Warp Reactor," Harry asked as he took a drink of the coffee he'd had replicated prior to joining the rest of the Bridge Crew this morning.
"No Grand Admiral," came the reply of the promising young engineer. "We've only just begun powering them up in groups at a time Sir, and have yet to conduct live exercises as per your orders Sir."
"And rightly sow," he said as he sat the cup down and motioned for her to join him at one of the monitoring stations he'd configured which provided a readout on the power systems for the weapons. "Do you know why we haven't activated all the weapons systems at once," he asked her with a smile.
The Ensign, who was somewhat nervous around the legendary figure before her, calmed herself and began studying the screens in front of her trying to digest the information presented in order to come to the conclusion Admiral Potter was trying to show her.
After a few moments she tentatively answered, "because the potential drain could bleed the primary relays and short circuit neighboring systems, or potentially cause a cascading overload if a direct link to the warp core was established before the secondary fusion back-ups could try and eliviate the strain of the primary generators," she replied.
"Are you asking me or telling me Ensign," Harry asked with a smile.
"I'm telling you Sir," she replied somewhat confidently.
"And you'd be correct," Harry replied. "One of the issues this series of maneuvers within the system is designed to test is the readiness of the weapons systems vs the life support, environmental controls, engines, and defensive systems we tested so extensively on our shakedown cruise prior to the refit."
The bridge for this ship was massive and consisted of a command bridge which sat above a lower, secondary bridge, which provided several thousand square feet of space for officers to monitor individual systems, and controls for the automated systems within the ship, while leaving the overall 'running the ship' to a Classic Federation Layout. One detail Harry was very fond of was having a massive half-dome of magically created and reinforced crystal clear diamond level with the command bridge, situated over the lower bridge, which allowed for real time views into open space, and which could be manipulated to be opaque and serve as the location for a projector screen for ship to ship communications between flag officers.
"Out there," Harry pointed to Terra 4, "we will be testing the effectiveness of our energy weapons for orbital bombardment before we tow in one of the highly damaged and decommissioned Randathan capitol ships. Make sure your Laser Cannons are ready, and that your weapons group will be ready for action," Harry finished.
"Computer," Harry called to the AI, "initiate weapons warm-up sequence, and engage active tracking lock on the following coordinates of target Terra 4," Harry said as he began manually entering the coordinates for the shielded compound he'd set up as a weapons test for the Leviathan.
"Confirmed," came the closest approximation to Hermione's voice that Harry could cobble together from the few recordings he had of her. "Target locked Grand Admiral; engaging thrusters to alight the ship for individual systems testing. Time to weapons range: T minus 4 minutes," the AI concluded.
I will have words with Serenity and her little jokes she keeps putting into these AI's base code, Harry internally groused at the running jape at his title between himself and Serenity.
Operations on the bridge continued as normal until the computer alerted the bridge staff that they were in position and that the target was in weapons range.
Harry sat in his chair and opened a com line for the bridge crew before he issued his ordered, "all systems weapons hot, target has been manually input and auto tracking is engaged. I want a sensor lock maintained on the facility, and an uplink to the station computer providing real time defensive data from our assault. Please transmit the automated warning across all com lines and frequencies to maintain a 100,000 mile distance from us until the conclusion of the test."
Harry punched in a few command codes before double checking a read out and seeing that his orders were being carried out, he continued. "Red Alert, All Weapons Hot. Begin firing the Port Battery of Rail Gun with type 03 warheads on my mark."
There were three rail guns spaced out every 10 decks per kilometer of ship which could each fire a 10 ton slug and which had independent targeting capabilities and a firing radius of 45 degrees across the spectrum. The Type 01 Warhead was a nuclear typed warhead with a yield of roughly 40 Hiroshima sized bombs. The Type 02 Warhead was one which carried a nerve agent which specifically targeted the unique biology of the Rakattan people, and which was highly classified from the knowledge of the Randathans. The Type 03 Warhead, the most common, were the "blank" or "solid" slugs of tritanium which were easily produced and stored within the ship.
"Uplink engaged Admiral," Commander Winston reported from the Tactical Operations Station.
"Active Fire broadcasting as ordered Admiral," Lt. Commander Forrester replied.
"We stand ready Admiral Potter," Derrick said as he walked from his monitoring station reviewing the activities of the lower bridge.
"Fire Port Battery," Harry ordered.
"Aye Sir; Firing Port Battery," Commander Winston replied as he executed the order.
The bridge was silent but suddenly the ship rocked almost 45 degrees starboard from the recoil of the massive discharge of energy as alarms began sounding throughout the ship. To the credit of the ship's design, no conduits exploded and nothing held in place broke.
"Report," Harry ordered as he looked around the bridge.
"Impact in 10, 09, 08, 07, 06," the Computer replied mistakenly believing that Harry had wanted a tracking report of the weapons fire as the dome darkened and a live image of the facility was projected.
"Derrick find out if the ship's ok; we're apparently not dead," Harry called as he banished his crushed mug back to a replicator alcove and began scourgifying the area and his uniform of the spilt coffee.
"…05, 04, 03, 02, 01; impact with target," the Computer supplied as a bright light overtook the view screen before blacking out and returning to the clear view of space.
"That wasn't supposed to happen," Harry said as he viewed the massive mushroom clouds and fireballs which seemed to be lighting up the surface of the frozen world.
"Winston," Harry angrily called. "I said Type 03 Warheads; Why did you just shoot 45 nuclear tipped slugs which are rather delicate to produce and which are reserved for live combat use only?"
"I didn't Sir," the Commander nervously.
Harry stalked over to the fidgeting Commander and calmly, yet with bite due to his anger at his orders not being followed replied, "then how do you explain the large scale thermonuclear hellfire I just witnessed with my own eyes Commander," Harry asked with as much sarcasm as he could muster.
"Sir," the Officer began, "my logs state I selected the type 03 warheads which we have in bulk; I am attempting to run a diagnostic to trace the problem."
Sighing in exasperation at more problems presenting themselves, Harry made his way back to his command chair.
"Please note the issue in the maintenance log Commander," Harry began. "I apologize for my tempter, but if someone has stored the weapons in the wrong place or the computer can't distinguish our weapons types that's a major problem."
"Aye Sir," the Commander replied. "Logged and noted Sir."
"Computer, resume surface view and display on the main viewer," Harry ordered and the screen showed the station, shields flickering, somehow upside down resting on the shields in a massive crater.
"Good God," Captain Hargrove, the Captain of the Leviathan said as he saw the devastation. "How in the Hell did that happen," he asked.
Harry observed the shields had permeated the ground and created a protective bubble for the extreme limits of the shields as they were designed to do. Interesting, he thought.
"Power readings from the station indicate the fusion reactors are damaged; shields are presently stabilized at 35 percent. There is total devastation and the permanent alteration of the landscape for over 45 square miles; tectonic stress readings indicate the weapons have cracked the continental plate of the target area," Science Officer Lt. Meadows called.
"Impressive," Harry called.
"Ungodly," replied the Captain.
"Efficient," Derrick joined in to a pointed look from Harry.
"Weapons Systems Readout," Harry asked of Commander Winston.
"Sir, power draw was nominal for the sectional relays; secondary systems did not have to engage," came the reply.
"Alright, that went much better than I expected in all honesty," Harry said. "Captain Hargrove, would you care to do the honors for the laser canons," Harry asked of the good Captain.
"Aye Sir," Hargrove said with no reluctance.
"Lt. Commander Forrester, re-align the ship and prepare to fire the Lower Port Laser cannons for the stern and aft of the ship," Captain Hargrove ordered.
"Full Spectrum test," Harry asked with a raised brow.
"Why not," came the reply. "The power draw should be stable and constant vs. and we will need to know if we will have enough energy remaining for individual systems if we engage total aerial bombardment or sit on top of an enemy ship."
"Fire your guns Captain," Harry said with a smile at the progress in forethought the young man was showing.
"Fire," the Captain ordered Commander Winston.
Over 1,000 individual high energy laser cannons descended from hidden positions behind protective hull plating, and opened fire of 4 bursts per second in a constant rain of super heated plasma onto the target area.
The explosions set off rivaled those of the accidental nuclear launch from before.
"Target shields have failed," Lt. Forrester called. "The Structure has been destroyed."
"All Stop," Harry ordered. "Begin running diagnostics of your systems."
"Computer, please display a live image of the target zone," Harry called.
The screen flared to life and showed a sea of lava.
"Computer, widescreen perspective of affected area," Harry further ordered.
The display showed that the laser cannons had taken their plasm bolts and melted their way to at least the mantle of the planet, and as a results massive fissures had emerged from which fiery eruptions of lava were freely flowing from previously snow capped mountains which dwarfed the Himalayas, and where formerly valleys of ice existed, now there was a sea of steadily growing magma for hundreds of miles.
"Commander Winston, correct me if I'm wrong," Harry began, "but were our systems targeting the station only, or the surrounding area as well?"
"Sir your orders were to target the station, and the computer reports that weapons fire was concentrated at the coordinates supplied," was the reply.
"I see," was all he said in reply.
"Admiral, either our targeting sensors need a major adjustment, or the computer core is malfunctioning. I would recommend we return to the Crucible for a detailed diagnostic and system check. We've learned almost everything we can from this exercise," the Captain said as he leaned into whisper in Harry's ear.
Harry sat in silence for a few moments as the multiple failures his ship had experienced over the last several months played through his mind one after the other until finally he rose from his chair and made his way to the lower bridge.
"Captain you have the Con, and I'm taking it under advisement," he said as he began to descend the stairs to oversee the reports and readouts from individual systems.

***Near New London; Palace of the Grand Admiral***
The Palace of the Fleet, as it was coming to be known, was modeled off the structures and gardens of Hampton Court with the primary difference that it had been made from a locally quarried black stone with high gloss similar to Marble.
It was gifted to Harry Potter Personally by the Terran People, and not to the Office of Grand Admiral specifically. It sat on the edge of the Thames which cut through the heart of New London, but was not a central structure for the city. It was presently 3 miles from the Parliament which sat at the heart of the city. The 'home' was presently one of the largest conglomeration of buildings outside of the bustling city, and several hundreds of acres on both sides of the Thames were reserved for the Potter Estate.
It had so far served as his home and personal base of operations for the last three years, with a healthy mix of office space dedicated to special projects he was running and the staff to operate everything; not to mention 15 children he had personally adopted from the Genesis program.
"Winky," Harry called after beaming in from the Leviathan which currently sat in Orbit of Terra Nova.
"Yes Master Potter Sir," came the reply as the elf popped in.
Taking note that it was 2145 hours, on a Wednesday, Harry asked Winky, "are the little tykes tucked in or are they still awake?"
"Little Master and Misses be pretending to be asleep waiting on Master Potter Sir at 8 o'clock; but they likely be sleeping now," the elf smiled as she answered.
Winky, along with her mate Floppy, and their 2 infant children (via a modified artificial womb) were the primary of three families of elves which had bonded to Harry and the Potter Line once he'd been given this home. While the elves had plenty of work in tending to the gardens, orchards, and livestock of the home, the children and size of the building itself presented the elves with more than enough work to keep them active, happy, and healthy as the fed off the residual magic of family.
"Winky be telling young children to sleep, but she knows they be excited to see Daddy soon," she informed Harry as they walked from the foyer and out the doors to the Base Court and made their way silent toward the Clock Court, and the private suite of rooms which held his children in the family apartments.
This route, while somewhat long, was time used by Harry purposefully so he could decompress and reflect on the happenings of the day while letting go of his focus on the surroundings and internalize the events of the day before he saw his children.
If we let the Randathans join us in manning Starbase 01 then we might as well allow them to join our governments together, Harry thought. That's what Viceroy Ka'lorna's been pushing for at least; and is that necessarily a bad thing? Can we afford to continue to be so xenophobic against our most vital allies? Are we ready to admit to them the existence of Magic, especially when we have just now begun to show large scale graduates from those teen we brought with us, and are settling places like White Water left and right?
Harry thought these heavy thoughts as he passed through the clocktower arch.
As he began to peel eastward toward his private apartments, he looked to the west and considered the request he'd received from one of the Bishops in London to have his Chapel Consecrated and used as a parish church for the village springing up around his estate.
If nothing else, he thought, it would provide the children with the opportunity to meet new people in a controlled setting.
He was also considering allowing the base court to be re-configured as a grammar school of for local children of all heritages.
"Winky," Harry began, "would you and the other elves be upset if I were to allow the local people setting up a village across the fields to the North to have access to our home to have Church in the chapel?"
The little elf looked up at him and then toward the chapel and kept walking for a few minutes before she answered.
"Do we being allowed to clean after, cook for, and serve these guests," Winky asked.
"I will not order you to if you don't want to. It's my understanding that they have what is called an Altar Guild and specific members responsible for cleaning and certain decorations, but I'm sure if you, Floppy, Doxie, or any of the other elves wanted to volunteer your time and assistance there it would be appreciated," Harry said not wanting to offend his little friend and constant companion.
"Winky remember what some folks were like before they went to sleep," she began as they continued the courtyard and toward the entrance to the heart of their home, "and Winky no want to support folk who think Wink and Floppy, and baby Flixie and Mipsy be demons," Winky began. "But Wink know these muggleses and wizardses be good; and the children they raising be good. And Little Masters and Little Misses needs other good children to be around, and from what computer taught church be place for good people to meet. Winky and other elves will help out, but we do so without shame, and without hiding," the little elf said with pride as she puffed herself up as if daring Harry to contradict her.
Harry smiled at how far Winky had come since she first bonded to him.
"Of course Winky," Harry began. "You and the other elves, whether in this home or anywhere, are just as free to make decisions like that as I am. This isn't the olden times; no more bad masters. If you want to do it, it will be on your terms and I would never ask you to hide or be ashamed to meet these strangers."
"Good," Winky said. "Winky want Flixie and Mipsy to grow up to be good boy and girl and serve because they happy; Winky never want what was to be again," she said as almost a whisper.
Harry stopped and turned to look at his friend, he crouched down and hugged her before assuring her that would never happen again before they both resumed their walk to meet the Potter tikes.
***Inside the children's rooms***
The children were all in a single massive room which shared a bathroom with Harry and had easy access to a small set of rooms Winky and her family maintained across the Hall from the children in a nanny's suite.
When the children hit 5 Harry had instructed that the children be placed into smaller rooms, three to a room, which would have 24 hour oversight with the assistance of the elves and the 'Nanny Bots' which were provided by the government for families which had adopted 3 or more children at once.
It had been quite funny, for Harry, to observe how Winky, Floppy, and the other elves had reacted when the nanny bots had come with the children and assisted with their care. In the hundreds of years that Harry had known her, he'd never quite heard Winky curse as voraciously as that day the bots had arrived. Harry had wisely withdrawn from her to
As they arrived at the great room where two Marines stood watch, another argument Harry had lost with the Terran Parliament, Harry greeted the men as they slowly opened the door to the vestibule which lead to his children.
"Shhhhhh," Winky said as she moved past him and lead the way into the room.
Harry smiled as he looked around at the rows of small beds which were arranged along the walls and at the angelic faces which were sleeping; some under their covers, some lying across their beds as though they'd been too tired to lay properly, and one was sleeping with his head nearly touching the floor and his feet on the bed.
He chuckled slightly, and started sweeping his hands through the air like a conductor, righting the children and walking around to kiss their head and tuck them in personally.
"Daddy," came the quiet voice of little Vivian as Harry walked away almost as a question.
Harry turned around and sat down on her bed and kissed her head.
"Yes Moppet," Harry said. "Little angels must have their heavenly rest," Harry said.
"I not sleepy though Daddy," Vivian said with all the conviction a sleeping 3 year old could muster, and with a yawn as she rolled over. "We play Daddy?"
"Yes Vivian; we will play tomorrow. Good night princess," Harry said with a final kiss as he kissed her head and moved on to tucking in her sisters and brothers.
Slowly creeping toward the door which separates the shared bath and the children's room, Harry caught Winky's eye and the two made their way back toward Harry's Apartments.
"Winky think it be lucky Master Harry Potter Sir didn't wake all of them again like two weeks back," she said with a smirk.
"I'll have you know woman that I've raised dozens of children over the years," Harry said with feigned indignity.
"Witch please," Winky said under her breath before popping out.
***The Next Day***
"Incoming transmission from the Office of the Prime Minister," the faux Hermione AI spoke as Harry sat in his office reviewing files and proposals.
"Put him through," Harry replied as the holo emitters flared to life and Mario Hlupák, of Czech stock, came into view seated opposite Harry.
"Grand Admiral," the Prime Minister began with a slight bow, "I'm sorry to have interrupted your morning but a pressing matter has come before Parliament that needs your immediate attention," he began.
"Oh really," Harry replied, "and what is that Prime Minister? I would hope that with Starbase 01 coming into operation in the next 6 months you're here to tell me Parliament has passed the laws necessary to grant the Randathan access to non-vital sectors, including the right to serve as security officers aboard the station."
The Prime Minister, of a vastly different temperament to his predecessor, had survived the attempted sack of New London, as had all within the defensive perimeter of the city, was not too keen on the Randathans.
"No, it's not that," the Prime Minister said in his usual arrogant manner.
God damn these politicians, Harry thought,
"Then how can I help you Mario, I'm reviewing capitol investments for security stations for this system and the Colonies," Harry replied with some exasperation.
"Parliament feels it's time for you to get married and assume the crown," Mario stated.
"Oh really," Harry said as he sat his pad down on his desk and gave Mario his undivided attention as he steeped his hands and narrowed his eyes.
The Prime Minister, in his arrogance, missed the subtle rage building in Harry and he pressed on.
"Yes old man, and we've found the perfect bride! Young thing from Yorkshire originally, somehow connected to the Tudor family. Imagine that! One day your grandchildren could trace their ancestry back to Henry himself," the oily weasel said with a genuine smile as though this would be some great honor.
Pressing a few buttons to lock the door of his study, casting a muffliato spell, and locking the PM's projection so he couldn't end the call, Harry leaned back from his desk into his chair and took stock of the PM.
The man was as divisive as he was loud, and had thus far, as the 2nd Terran Prime Minister, done more to sew the seeds of doubt, discretely of course, against the Randathans and their continued presence on Terra than the Rakattan saboteurs had managed to inspire. It was unbelievable for Harry that someone so ignorant could function independent of a life support system.
"Prime Minister, there's a problem though," Harry said.
"What's that Harry," came the smirking reply.
"I'm already married," Harry said as he showed off the ring Victor had given him 6 months after the war. "I'm quite happily married as well. The Mister never causes me any grief," Harry said with forced calm. His marriage, though widely known, was a taboo subject as Victor had not been able to go into stasis with the rest of them as per Luna's vision. He wasn't ignored, he just wasn't mentioned out of respect for Harry's privacy.
"Bah," the PM began, "he's not around any more and we need to get you a proper wife so you can secure the bloodline," the PM said completely dismissing the love Harry held for his husband.
"But I have children Mr. Prime Minister, 15 to be exact," Harry replied.
The PM smiled as he leaned in as though sharing a great secret, "but they're not really your children are they; eh? The people need a Royal Wedding, Royal Births, and Royal events to help cheer them up to sustain the progress we've made and like it or not Mr. Potter you're our Royal in everything but name. We're gonna make it official, and we're going to give you one of the best weddings this universe has ever seen! And you'll love Sylvia," he finished.
Harry's mask slipped momentarily as his eye twitched and he frowned slightly before recovering.
"And who is Sylvia," he asked.
"Only the sweetest girl you'll ever meet, and the best niece I've ever had," the Prime Minister replied oblivious to the Fudge level of rage he was inspiring in Harry at present.
In the Terran Asteroid Belt rocks the size of Texas began exploding as Harry channeled his anger away from the simpleton's image in front of him, and away from living beings he may hurt if his control slipped in an effort to vent the power welling inside when he did blow his top.
"And Parliament has already voted on this, have they," Harry asked.
"Well no, but I figured this was such an obvious problem I might as well address it with you; Most of my front benchers are behind the idea, and really I've got the votes to push this through. I mean, no offense, but we can't have an openly gay king; it's not natural…especially one who was playing house with a foreigner that's probably long dead. I'm sure it wouldn't take much effort at all to have this passed at all Mr. Potter considering how popular you are, and how often we have to deal with petitions to make you King this or Emperor that; I'm sure we can even overlook the occasionally buggery if that's the only thing that can get you off…," he trailed off when he finally looked toward Harry and saw he wasn't there.
"Hmm; how rude of … gurk," the Prime Minister was saying before a fist closed around his throat and his transmission was terminated.
*** Parliament of New London 36 Hours later ***
"Why have we been summoned back," MP Samuel Adderholt asked as he made his way through security with the Chief Deputy Whip for the Government.
"No idea, but it was a priority summons; the speaker was even summoned back from a retreat he was having with his Randathan counterpart to discuss the finer points of a Parliamentary Democracy," MP Jessica Stevens answered.
There were at present around 245 members of the Terran House of Commons, for Terra Nova, and around 30-35, depending on population size, for the existing 15 colonies, for a total representative force of 695 MPs for the House of Commons. Instead of a House of Lords, the "upper" house of Parliament was a Senate where two senators were elected for each world, with the exception of 2 being awarded to Terra Nova which would gain an additional Senator for each colony chartered.
The total parliament thus far comprised a House of Commons of 695 MPs and 47 Senators.
A Congress, a meeting of both houses, had been called by the Grand Admiral to meet in the joint chamber of parliament, in a smaller scale version of the Volkshalle which served as a meeting space for both houses in between the separate houses of the Terran Parliament. It was affectionately dubbed the Parade Hall.
All around the great domed building, hung the Banners of the Potter Crest Alternating with the Grand Admiral's personal crest, and the Terran Phoenix.
The MPs made their way into the giant space, and immediately noticed that seemingly the entirety of the Terran Navy, Merchant Marines, and news corps were present and somehow the entire Senate had managed to present themselves even though Jessica knew that at least 12 of the Terra Nova Senators were at least three days travel on a tour of the Colonies.
The Central Podium four levels above, nearly 60 feet above them on the floor space of the chamber, had spotlights shining onto a giant, pure gold, Phoenix with its wings outstretched in flight clutching a laurel wreath circling the symbol of the Deathly Hallows. Directly below this golden statue was a beautifully carved and crafted white marble dais for the speaker, and a level below, to the left and right of the dais, stood 6 meter tall gilded statues of a wizard, remarkably similar to Harry with wand outstretched and his other hand sweeping wide, mirrored from the other.
"Those are new," Jessica said of the statues and banners hanging around the hall.
The Parade Hall could hold 150,000 people easily and there was standing room only in the stands.
"The lit braziers with the white, blue, and green flames are a nice touch too," Samuel added.
Seeing that they were some of the last MPs to appear, they made their way to their designated seat as the doors directly in front of them were closed by Marines, as were the doors behind them. In fact, marines could be seen standing at equidistant intervals along the massive stairwells which wound their way toward the dais.
Finally the electric lights dimmed, the news cameras deployed and took a few shots of the crowds before floating to focus on the dais as a giant 3d projection of the dais took shape in the air over the Parliamentarians.
Serenity, whom some of the Parliamentarians were familiar with, took to the dais wearing an odd uniform that was unfamiliar to majority of people assembled. It was a solid white in contrast to the standard Blues that Parliament had adopted, and oddly enough she otherwise was displaying the rank of Admiral.
"Greetings Members of Parliament, Members of the Admiralty, Members of the various service branches, Representatives of the Colonies, Dignitaries of the Randathan People, and Citizens of the Republic of Terra Nova," Serenity began as she recognized each group with a slight bow before continuing to the next. "This assembly has been called by Grand Admiral Potter with regards to an emergency situation presenting itself not even three days ago, but before the Grand Admiral is to speak, Admiral of the Fleets, Defender of Terra, and the Defender of New London, the Rt. Hon. Damian Fitzpatrick. Ladies and Gentlemen, Admiral Fitzpatrick," Serenity said turning the dais over to the war hero to thunderous applause for the very popular war hero.
"Thank you Admiral Serenity," Admiral Fitzpatrick began. "I come before you today my Fellow Terrans, honored guests, and my fellow citizens to report that there has been an emergency restructuring of the Terran Naval Forces, the Merchant Marine Corps., and constituent Military Organizations by order of the Grand Admiral, and ratified by the Council of the Admiralty. Until further notice, the Board of Overseers is hereby disbanded, along with the following: 1) The Terran Parliament is hereby divested of any oversight or jurisdiction of Naval or Military affairs, whether it concern matters foreign, domestic, planetary, or extra-planetary; 2) The Terran Parliament is hereby divested of any jurisdiction of any member of the Terran Navy; 3) The Powers Delegated to the Terran Parliament are granted solely at the pleasure of the Grand Admiral, and any or all laws shall be enacted, enforced, or maintained solely by the Council of the Admiralty and Naval Forces; 4) The members of the Planetary Defense Force are hereby drafted as officers and members, in their current role and salary, as members of the Military Police Force under the sole jurisdiction of the Grand Admiral as overseen by the Council of the Admiralty; and finally 5) All knowledge of warp theory, and Terran proprietary technology is hereby classified and restricted from general public access, save by members of the Terran Navy or Military with the enlisted rank of Ensign or Higher as appropriate."
The admiral looked down at the stunned Members of Parliament who were wondering exactly what was going on, and what was being told to them.
"Finally," Admiral Fitzpatrick continued, "the Grand Admiral recalls the right of laying and collecting taxes, duties, and tariffs from the Terran Parliament and vests such power solely with himself as expressed by the Council of the Admiralty. Each Admiral on the Council of the Admiralty, the Executive Council, shall serve as a regional governor who you may petition to address a specific issue or needed piece of legislation as Terrans Ladies and Gentlemen of the Parliament. Thank you."
There were confused murmurs going through the crowd now as the MPs below didn't know what to do until suddenly Serenity retook the dais.
The Speaker of the House of Commons and the President of the Senate walked in to take their seats at stage left in full view of the cameras, from directly behind Serenity.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, guests and citizens, I present you with Grand Admiral Harry Potter," a video of Harry's life began playing over the confused, but excited applause of the crowd below showing his life, his battles against Voldemort, his work as a Doctor, Engineer, and Wizard through the years leading up to today.
"Greetings one and all," Harry began as he smiled to the cheering masses. "Members of Parliament you're no doubt wondering why you are all assembled here today instead of enjoying the break which had been scheduled. I'm sorry to say that I bear the sad news of informing you of the tragic death of Prime Minister Hlupák and his extended family as they gathered at the estate of his cousin on our newest colony Romulus. Please take with me a few moments to mourn the passing of our the Prime Minister and his family in a show of solidarity of loss as this venerable institution requires."
Harry gave it to the count of 10 before he continued.
"Along with the loss of the Prime Minister, we have lost over 30 percent of the governmental bench who had been on retreat with the Prime Minister. I can now confirm that this was not a terrorist attack," Harry clarified over nervous rumbling that overtook the crowd, "but was in fact the result of gross incompetence by the Prime Minister and his supporters who were planning a coup d'état against myself, the Council of the Admiralty, and my precious children, in an effort to seek justification in waging war against the Randathan People," Harry said to the shock and outrage of the MPs who were on their feet along with most of the crowd as images of Harry and his children began to cycle behind him.
"Unknown to the Prime Minister and his supporters an advanced security system unknown to the planners and builders of the Palace of the Fleets was installed by myself with the help of Serenity, who now carries the Rank of Admiral. We have all trusted her and her tireless efforts in our protection; it is time she joined the leadership council of our people to ensure the continued protection of every Terran everywhere," Harry said to tremendous applause.
"We stand now at a crossroads in our history," Harry began, "a point from which we cannot return. Do we go forward as we are with the crippled institutions as they were, or do we change, and evolve with the needs of our time," Harry asked. "Do we march on Members of Parliament, do we soldier on?"
"Yes! March On! Carry On, and other phrases were being chanted by the crowd as Harry seemed to slump forward onto the dais carrying the weight of their answer.
"Then I must say to you my countrymen, those whom I've protected for over 400 years. Those which I've devoted my life, I do not lightly convey what must be done; I must vacate my office as Grand Admiral."
Shouts of Outrage, and chants of No met his statement, even from the Members of Parliament.
"I must rise above that role," Harry carried on over the sounds of the masses, "and I must take forth a mantle I have shunned and spurned from the very moment we arrived on this world, but for my children's sake I will don the Terran Crown and reign in an era of peace and government support, keeping a check on both the Terran Parliament and the Royal Armed Forces in order to prevent the further senseless loss of life which had been planned by that blaggard Hlupák and his cabal of fiends, then I shall continue to sacrifice of myself for you."
A standing ovation greeted that pronouncement as the crowds realized what they were being told.
"Citizens, My Government will therefore need to be reformed and reconstituted to receive all lawful authority to act in my name on your behalf; Ladies and Gentlemen of the Congress here assembled, I am sad to say but the Parliament of Terra Nova is hereby dissolved and elections for the newly constituted Royal Parliament of the Terran Empire shall commence immediately with a primary election date for the House of Commons set 6 weeks from now, and Membership in the House of Lords shall consist of all Anglican Bishops, the Executive Council of the Admiralty, and Hereditary Peers to yet be named.
"My fellow Terrans, we were all failed by a corrupt man with corrupted ideals seeking to destroy our chance at a future because of his own narrow interests and bigoted beliefs. He and his buddies nearly drew us to the brink of ruin as a people by setting us on a path to war with our Randathan brothers and sisters; to this I say never again!"
The People, picking up on the energy in the room began chanting Never Again, until Harry called for calm.
"I have received a petition from the Randathan Council, requesting that they peaceably enter the Terran Empire as a constituent state, with representation equal to a colony world for Paranda Province and their four constituent colony worlds as we presently provide for New London and our constituent Colonies. By will of the people, represented by these assembled, does the Empire Agree," Harry called to deafening applause.
"I agree with the People; Viceroy Ka'lonra, let me be the first to welcome you, and the Randatha People into the Terran Empire, as well as bestowing upon you the title of First Minister of Randatha. Do the Randathan People accede to these terms," Harry asked to the present Minister.
"We do, and happily so Your Grace," he said as he took a knee along with the other present Randathans, only to be followed soon thereafter by everyone else in the stands, until finally the MPs assembled took the hint and bent the knee.
"What the fuck is going on," Jennifer asked to Samuel.
"I don't know," he replied, "but whatever's happened is already over. This is too well staged to have been a spontaneous event."
A phoenix flamed in clutching a crown, followed by another clutching a scepter, and yet another flamed in clutching Harry's rarely seen wand.
All three landed before Harry, and bowed before two flew off to perch on the shoulder facing the dais of the wizard statues flanking Harry while the last took a seat upon his own shoulder.
He stepped back as a high backed throne formed from nothing, conjured as if by magic itself, as Harry took a seat and stretched out his palm and the scepter flew to it, while he summoned his wand with the other.
Serenity reverently approached the crown before slowly turning to face Harry as another set of cameras floated into view to show the crowdss the standing Admirals and other officials and the seated Harry.
She held the crown above him, and cried aloud when it lowered to his head, "Vivat Rex; Marcus Potter Primum Nomen Suum!"
