Back in the UN

Hordes of limousines stayed parked in the circular lot as even more humans poured into the iconic building. Under the cover of night, the people, in their black tuxedos and black gowns, were all but shadows. No lights from the building were on, Kaijus were attracted to light.

And this meeting was too important to be disturbed. The President of the United States looked at his gold watch and frowned. In 22 minutes, he'd have to give a speech about the Kaijus, and an update that Project Genesis was nowhere near completion. It was not going to be a good night. Tiredly, he sighed, rubbing his forehead. One of his Secret Service glance at him worriedly. "It's gonna be a shitstorm won't it?"

The President chuckled dryly. "Yeah, it will be."

"I believe I can help you with that." A voice says from the corner. The Secret Service instinctively draw their weapons and aim for the dark patch in the corner, but the voice then comes from behind the President.

"Oh you won't find me there."

"What do you want?" the President asks.

"We want what you want. The Kaijus gone. We have the solution to that."

"Which is?"

The voice laughed. "Let us get on the podium, and all will be revealed. In fact, you won't even have to give a speech. By the end of the month, the world as you know it will have changed. It'll be...a Kaiju-less world."

President Armechi frowns again, but waves his hand. "Do as you wish."

"Thank you Mr. President."

Every seat was filled by the time the UN meeting began. The "conductor" took the stage. "The Kaiju threat is increasing, and we are now unsure what has happened to two of the world's best Jaegers and their pilots. Furthermore, we are unsure of the USS Nuclia's whereabouts. Perhaps you care to enlighten us on that China?"

The Chinese ambassador gaffed. "We didn't take your hunk of metal."

President Armechi stood up angrily. "Then where the hell are they? And why the hell is it you were tracking these Kaiju in the ocean but never said anything?"

The Chinese ambassador and his party stood up. "You knew of their existence just as we did. So don't try to pin this on us and play the damsel-in distress.

"You piece of-"

A woman stepped on to the stage, clad in a tight emerald dress. Her hair fell all the way to her shoulders, but a gold comb pinned it away from covering her face. The conductor fumbled with the words to say, so she just put a finger to his lips.

"I can take it from here, Mr. Simmons." she said sweetly. Mr. Simmons smiled, and then got off the stage before sitting down. The entire crowd began to whisper; who was this mystery woman? She let a couple moments go by before talking into the microphone.

"Hello all. I am Eclair Santanara, and I work for a military division designated: Hyperion. We watch the seas, and deal with all ocean threats,"

"Well you're doing a great job so far!" the leader of Brazil quipped sarcastically. Many murmured in agreement. Eclair herself laughed.

"That is indeed true, things have been a little hard to manage. However, now we have the ability to end the Kaijus."

"How?" The British Prime Minister asked.

"With Godzilla. We have a weapon known as Galactus. It sucks all CO2, pollution out of the ocean, along with all other gases, minerals, nutrients, and turns it into a poison for the Kaijus."

"How will it reach all oceans worldwide, and how will this stop them from breaking through with portals?"

"Because they still need to traverse the water. This will kill them."

"If they adapt?" The Russian President asked. Eclair pointed at him.

"They can't. While the Kaijus can become stronger, they still need a vital supply of CO2 to breath. If we work on initiatives to completely clean the oceans, it will prevent them from-"

"Won't all life in the oceans die as well?" Armechi asked inquisitively. Eclair smiled.

"For a short time, however the Galactus will release O2 after a set amount of weeks, restoring O2 back into the seas along with the minerals and nutrients. Only the CO2 and pollutants will remain…"

"That much 02 and algae death will cause a major lack of oxygen. How will people breath?"

"Listen. The plan is not the revolutionary thing that has no repercussions. But this is war, and the Kaiju are going to lose it. There will be casualties. However, would you rather some humans survive, or a bunch of fucking algae?"

There's an uncomfortable shiver. Finally, Mr. Simmons speaks up. "What would you need to unleash this Galactus bomb?"

Eclair's smile is too happy for Mr. Armechi. "We need Godzilla. With his blood to test, we can tell how the Kaiju work."

"Why not one of the dead specimens?"

"Godzilla has been here since the dinosaurs. He has endured where other Kaiju have had to stay in their dimension. He is the one we must know how to kill in order to kill the others."

That made sense to most of the people. "How soon do you need Godzilla?" Mr. Armechi inquisted. He folded his arms. Eclair changed her stance.

"We already have a plan to get him. We just need a city in order to capture him in. The idea is to lure this new Kaiju, and Godzilla will follow. We nab Godzilla after the bout weakens him, and then release the Galactus bomb before that Kaiju strikes again."

A small voice in the back says, "Godzilla helped us before. Why are we punishing him now?"

Eclair's smile disappears, and her voice drops. "Monsters are monsters. He helped us by accident."

"I disagree."

"Well regardless of what you think, unless you have an idea to save the world, I suggest we end this discussion and commence the plan. We need all Jagears to rally at the final city here. This building will then house a massive heat and CO2 source. The Kaiju will be drawn to it, and we can beat them down."

The final question, "Why here?"

The final answer, "This place has executed plans long enough. It is time it saw the thick of combat. Move the civilians out."

Eclair left the stage.

The small voice in the back got up, and snuck out before anyone noticed. Taking off his cloak, ColdSaw got into a limo, and looked at Dove.

"What happened sir?"

"Just drive." ColdSaw barked. Dove shut up and started driving. Eventually, ColdSaw spilled.

"She's going to kill everyone, and no one even sees it because they just want this war to be over."

"What do you mean? Her plan sounded fine through your microphone."

ColdSaw gave Dove an incredulous stare. "She's luring all the Jagers into one place for that Kaiju to destroy, and then she's going to capture Godzilla."

Dove swerved past a car and ran a red-light. It unnerved her that ColdSaw was so on edge, but then again with them being fugitives, and having to manage this entire thing by himself, her respect for him suddenly renewed. Something struck her however.

"Why is it bad if she gets Godzilla?"

ColdSaw frowned, and focused his blue eyes outside. For once he didn't have a definitive answer.

"I don't know, but I feel that Eclair Santanara is about to make the world worse than it already is…"
