Elemental Sanctum

Aer was keeping watch on the outside while Mizu, Vatra, and Terrae starred at their new brother as he continually paced in a circle. True to form as well as name, "Darkness," "Shadow," Dorchadas Elementas was garbed in complete black and had fiddled with his hair so that it hung over his left eye. As he paced, Dorchadas periodically made a motion with his hand, resulting in black vaporal orb to "poof" into existence in the center of the room before he would repeat the motion, causing the gaseous orb to vanish.

"So we have only one more to resurrect?" he asked, prompting an answer from Mizu.

"Yes, the brother of light."

"And what of the other?"

"Pardon?"

"I felt another presence as my soul collected. You guys resurrected me via portus correct?"

"Yes, but no one else could've gone with us."

"Or maybe someone did..." It was Terrae who had spoken up that time, rubbing his chin in thought, "after all, we don't know how long the portus was opened for before it closed. Someone, anyone could've sneaked through."

"You think...those- what do you call them- hunters who happened upon us when we were preparing the portus..."

"Yes," said Dorchadas, "they went through the portus at different intervals and most likely ended up scattered across whatever universe we are currently in."

alien desert world

"So...let me get this straight." said Simmons, "You two come from a place where you hunt monsters that threaten humanity?"

"Yes," answered Yang.

"The people who hunt down the monsters are called Huntsmen and Huntresses."

"Yep."

"Huntresses hunt down these monsters with martial weapons that also double as guns."

"Yeah."

"So a sword or spear can transform via technology into either an assault rifle or bazooka."

"Sure, why not?"

"And you also use various forms of magic to fight as well."

"Yes."

"And despite all that, YOU PEOPLE NEVER CONSIDERED SPACE EXPLORATION?"

"Eh...say what?"

"Yeah, seriously," Grif chimed in, "if I was stuck on a world with the constant threat of being eaten, I'd have taken the first available rocket out of there."

"I believe we use rockets for long distance travel and academy lockers," said Blake.

"SEE!" Simmons almost yelled in disbelief, "you guys, er, girls have rocket-propelled lockers, yet you never considered the thought of developing a transport that can go from one planet to another!"

"Why would we want to do that?" Yang asked.

"So you can explore and shit!" Grif put in.

"I hate to admit it," said Sarge, poking his helmet out from under the jeep, "the lazy subordinate is right. Human beings aren't meant to be held down by the force of gravity."

"Wow, even Sarge agrees with m-"

"Just like how Grif defied the natural order of things by not getting killed by the enemy."

"-crap." Yang let out an irritated breath of air.

"Listen guys, that isn't the point. Blake and I were with six other huntsmen and huntresses."

"So six guys and six girls or just six total?" asked Simons.

"Six total; you have a problem with that?"

"What? Er-no..."

"Anyway; Blake and I were not alone initially. But that was before some guy named Mizu blew something up and we all got separated. We are in the middle of no where and I for one am really eager to get back with the others as quickly as possible. And if that doesn't happen anytime soon-"

"Wait a minute," Simmons interrupted, "that sounds like something we just went through."

"You mean the time-bomb thing that the pink guy made a play about?" Tucker asked.

"Actually," said Donut, helping Sarge with the warthog, "that was more of a skit if you think about it."

"Well congratulations guys," Grif announced, "not only did we get ourselves lost in space and time thanks to a nuclear bomb and a weather control device, but we also somehow snatched these girls from whatever world they came from without their knowledge and both are highly capable of killing us if we look at them wrong! Nice going Tucker!"

"Hey, I wasn't the one who planted a frickn nuke inside of Church's body!" Tucker angrily pointed out.

"Hold on," said Simmons, "don't you guys remember Wyoming?"

"Yeah, he tried to kill me; what about him?"

"Well, when he was talking he suddenly cut-off, as though he was distracted by something."

"Oh...yeah..." Caboose finally spoke up, "that is when he started talking to the two young ladies that happened to be walking by when we were fighting O'Malley." Everyone gaped at him.

"What are you talking about Caboose? What 'young ladies' were even around except for Tex, and I don't think Tex is that young."

"No...Tex was tied up somewhere. I'm talking about the two girls that were hiding behind the yellow guy and pirate captain."

"Honestly," said Grif, "does it look like I'm wearing yellow armor? Because I'm not!"

"And who the heck is this pirate captain?" Simmons asked.

"Your sergeant of course, the one with the pirate accent." Everyone was dead silent at this, until Sarge ended it.

"I don't know what the...er...unique...blue is talking about; but all that matters is that we are all lost in whatever godforsaken wasteland the future has to offer, we need to find a place to survive-"

"-and to find out if Church or anyone else we know made it through the time bomb," Tucker added.

"-and also try and find the family and friends of these lost monster hunters." Yang and Blake looked each other and Blake nodded.

"Very well, you were right Yang."

Mother of Intervention

"So how is she doing?" Carolina asked the Councilor as he stepped out of the interview room some hours after he began questioning the Weiss girl.

"She's resting now, I highly doubt we could learn everything in this manner."

"Do you have something else in mind?"

"Well...yes...she's open to questions and she clearly isn't an enemy of the UNSC, or anyone else for that matter, so I was wondering-" the Councilor stopped his sentence and made a dismissive motion with his hand. "You'll hear about it later. Just rest assured that both I and the Director have no intention of treating her like a threat; besides, it's obvious that she isn't."
