I'd like to start by thanking you for your patience. I have been extremely busy with the holidays, then finals. On top of that we do not have internet so I am writing on my phone(and will have to edit/post later.)
A few topics to address before I set you free to your reading.
-I am currently working on a novel. So yes my writing will be spacey(but a lot less spacey than it has been. Now that my writers block is gone!)
-What would you guys think if I made a twitter for this fanfic account? So I could ask more questions and give more updates. So YOU could ask more questions.
Anyway i'll stop all this boring gibberish. I hope you enjoy. :)

The hallway was empty as we neared the training room. Dead empty, eerily empty. Not your average empty as in everyone is busy except a select few passers bys. The kind of empty where you can feel something was wrong. A group of people, were gathered by the door of the training room. Some looked sickly, others looked shocked.

"We're going to have to ask you all to leave," I began not sure what they were leaving. Obviously the training room was the answer. I was concerned about what was in the training room. The anticipation had begun eating at me. Gnawing like a tiny green fuzzy monster slowly chewing on my insides.

"We are asking you to leave. Now or you'll be removed by force." This got the ball rolling. They filed away reluctantly.

Tobias was already in the room assessing what had just happened. It was a gruesome image. A girl about thirteen lay in the middle. She was blonde like me but her eyes were a piercing green. There was fresh stab wounds all over and a butter-knife sticking out of her rib cage. The boom had been a gunshot that probably killed her.

A few tables were knocked over, knives scattered everywhere. Why didn't the killer use those? They're sharper and probably easier to use. This must've been some sort of message...

"Peter." Tobias said sternly, "It's probably Peter."

"Oh don't be ridiculous. Why would Peter kill a little girl?" I asked. It felt wrong leaving her like that, but we couldn't touch the evidence.

"That's what we have to find out. Come on Tris. Let's go see where the scum bag is." His hand grabbed my wrist and it was cold. Had we not been in this situation a warm chill would've ran through me. I didn't budge. My thoughts were on the girl. What was going through her mind as she was being killed? Who is looking for her? "C'mon leave this to the homicide detectives. It's their job."

"Fine. But we have to help." Dispute the crime committed he smiled.

"Selfless and brave. Let's go talk to Peter." We made our way out of the room as fast as we could. But then I saw Blaine running down the hall looking distressed and frowned.

"Kelse! Kelse!" He shouted tears in his eyes. Tobias held him back. "Stop you have to let me in! She's my sister," more tears. I was really glad someone else had told him and we didn't have to.
"Blaine...she's gone. It's too late. You need calm down."

"My sister." His voice cracked, "Kelsie oh gosh Kelsie." A surge of guilt ran through me as I watched him crumble to the an old building too tired to bear the weight of itself against gravity. obias had to keep him back from the room. Surely they'd allow him to see her? After evidence was collected.

Though I hadn't stabbed her or shot her I felt as if I did. "She just wanted to practice." weak was the best word to describe him. Not at all his usual self tall, handsome, and strong.

"Blaine..." I could see Tobias's eyes searching for a place to start, "I'm sorry." Was all he said.
Blaine looked to the ground and wiped snot on his sleeve. In a childish way but who could blame him?

"S'not your fault."

"No its not but i'm still sorry. I promise we'll find the culprit. I promise he or she will be locked up. I-"
Blaine just shook his head and i realized i'd just been standing. What was I supposed to do? I don't think i've ever been in a situation like this. Tobias was better at comforting, so I would let him handle this.

"Can someone call Agatha? Please? I left my communications watch at home..." Agatha? Who was Agatha? My questions were answered minutes later. A girl roughly the same height as Blaine strutted down the corridor quicky. She seemed to glide and her chocolate brown hair reminded me of a Goddess. The way it was braided around the crown of her head and lightly curled at the bottom. Besides that she had striking features. Agatha wasn't flat chested and, well, stickly as I was. She had soft curves and for a moment I felt like a little girl. Until I remembered Tobias saying he preferred me compared to girls that looked like her. Instantly I felt stupid for thinking like this at a time like this.

"Blaine baby my gosh-" she didn't even finish the sentence just hugged him tight. His arms curled around her waist, his face disappearing in the crook of her neck. A silver gleam caught my eye ,and I noticed a simple ring on her left hand. Was Blaine married?

A foot nudged at my leg knocking me back into my senses. It belonged to Tobias and without question we traveled down the hallway. Silently, very silently not a word spoken as we made our way to Peter's. I thought I heard him inhale. The way people do before they are about to say say something important. Or ask a deep question.

But when I turned my head I did not see any trace of that. All I saw was Tobias staring right at Peter's room. Without hesitation I knocked. I wasn't afraid of Peter anymore. Up until today he had seemed like he didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. I knocked again. Finally a blonde haired girl opened the door and I recognized the initiate immediately. Abbie.
Tobias was first to react not wasting a moment, "Is Peter home?"

"Yeah he just got in...why? Is something wrong?" She asked worriedly the next voice was mine.
"I need to see him, now " A hand wrapped around Abbie's waste gently pulling her back,

"Who is it dea-Hello Tris. "

"Peter this isn't about me or you so stop acting as if you ate something rotten," I said sternly "This is about-" a hand clamped on my shoulder in a way that said, 'Don't say another word' and I looked at Tobias confused. When he spoke I thought it would be an answer but it came out as a very confusing sentence.

"We have come to talk to you about," The murder of Kelsey, "Your relationship with Abbie. She is still an initiate and this inappropriate. She can't sneak off to your room during these hours. If you wish to be with her during free hours that is fine. Come on Abbie, no buts' unless you wish to be factionless." Just like that Tobias turned and lead her to the dorms.
He told her about the murder, and they would be keeping a tight leash on initiates. He mentioned nothing of Peter.I thought it was a bit extreme of Tobias. People got killed every once in awhile but that didn't mean we should babysit all the time. Peter probably just threw a tantrum after lunch and stabbed her.

During all this walking I hadn't realized we had dropped her off, or he was staring at me. "What?" I asked for some reason defensively. "I mean what was that? Why didn't we take Peter into custody or at least warn her?"

"Because that's not our job Tris. We were angry, probably in a little shock, and wanting answers. It took me until we reached his door to remember-This is not our job. The investigators will ask questions, run tests and if Peter did this we can't ask him questions. It would just prepare him for-"

"Then why didn't you stop me from knocking?" The thought occured maybe that was what he was going to say. Before he closed his mouth when he gave that big sigh but acted like it didn't exist.
"Because we needed to get Abbie out of there."
"It's just weird...why Kelsey?"

"Wrong place at the wrong time? Not uncommon in crimes. Im pretty sure at least 50% of murders are unplanned, accidental, and spontaneous. Maybe even 75%" If the word murder wasn't in that sentence, one might think he was talking about a baby. Or falling in love.

"Okay what do we do?"

"We stay out. If this happens again depending on who gets killed we might have to dig our noses in.
