~ Vacation – Vitamin C ~

Outing.

That was what they were doing at that moment.

From out of town, Sumire was giving them some sort of reward by going to the beach, along with the girls and the other freshmen who did lots of things from the last tournament.

He was bored as he ignored the others. Momo and Eiji kept bugging him but he didn't pay attention to them. They were at the back while the coach and the girls were in front of the bus. Everyone was noisy and he didn't have a choice but to join them.

Hours later, they reached their destination. The beach was wide and blue. What great for that place was, there was a private room where anyone could rest. Everyone was enjoying themselves.

"Echizen, come quick!" Momo said as he pulled him by the hand.

"Senpai!" He reacted, "We just arrived here!"

"We don't have all day so let's make the most of it!" Eiji supported Momo as he ran ahead of them and started doing acrobatic skills.

"Be careful boys! You can have all the fun but don't hurt yourself." Sumire announced as everyone nodded. Sakuno and Tomoka were beside Sumire watching them.

"Well, let us have fun as well." Tomoka said as she grabbed Sakuno by the hand too.

Sakuno was shocked but she let her.

They didn't waste time as they played all day like little kids in the water. Laughs could be heard everyone and bickering of Momo, Kaidoh, Horio and Tomoka were competing with each other.

…Who was the loudest bickering tandem that was.

Tennis was still present along with the beach volleyball and suikawari all day long.

"I am tired, Tomo-chan," Sakuno said as rested her hands to her knees. They just played in the water and swam for a long time, "I'll take a break first."

"Okay, I'll just continue playing suikawari with everyone." Tomoka announced.

Sakuno slowly walked away from the group and went to the private room. She never entered the room so she was surprised to see how beautiful the room was. There were three beds in that room for the people who wanted to rest for a while. The bed was calling her back and she didn't resist.

She lied down there and felt great. Without noticing, she fell asleep.

They had been playing and never felt tired at all. But Ryoma wanted to rest for a while and he was going to do that.

"Where are you going, Echizen?" Oishi asked him.

He looked at his senpai and replied, "Ponta."

Oishi shrugged after he answered. They were still playing beach volleyball while the others were competing who was the fastest swimmer.

Ryoma continued walking. He just made ponta an alibi so that he could get away from them. The truth was he wanted to take a little nap. He really wanted to rest as he felt tired. He walked inside the room and was a bit surprised to see the pigtailed-girl sleeping on a bed. No wonder that he didn't see her for a while for she was already resting.

…And to think that no one entered the room until that moment.

Well, who would want to rest and sleep all day in this great outing that they rarely experienced. And it was all free that was why.

Disregarding the thought, he walked closer to the girl. He stared at her sleeping figure. Her face was at ease. He didn't want to admit it but she looked cute in her sleep. Realizing what he was thinking, he blushed a little. Good thing that no one was there. It would be embarrassing if someone saw him like that. But it was the truth as he looked at her sleeping face, from her eyes to her lips.

…Her lips.

He walked closer to the bed and stared at that particular part of her face. Still staring at her face, he slowly sat on the side of the bed.

I've been wondering about it. And she is sleeping. She wouldn't know if I try it now, right? Ryoma thought as he made a decision. He was actually wondering about it ever since he took notice of her. Well, he didn't know when but now he did.

Was he interested of the girl? There was one way to find out.

Placing a hand which was near her face, he slowly leaned down to her face. He tried to be careful so that she wouldn't wake up. His eyes softened as he neared to her lips. He was ready to close his own eyes when the girl's eyes suddenly opened.

Sakuno soon realized what he was doing for she immediately blushed. Ryoma on the other hand was a bit shocked too. But no one moved nor spoke at that time until Sakuno reacted;

"R-R-Ryoma-kun, w-what are you doing?" She asked him as she tried to get away.

Oh man.

Ryoma sighed as he kept her there, "Of all time, why do you have to wake up? I'm almost there."

"E-eh?"

He smirked this time, "You caught me so I might continue this instead." With that, he finally placed his own lips to hers. The girl couldn't move as he trapped her there. He felt her gasp to his kiss and he secretly smiled at that. It felt good though.

…The kiss.

His instinct never failed him. Kissing her was good after all.

Unfortunately, he had to break it if they didn't want to be caught by the others. Sakuno was blushing pretty hard. Ryoma leaned away as he stood up. He looked at her who was sitting now, giving her the smirk before he spoke;

"You are finally awake, princess." With that, he slowly walked away leaving a stunned and speechless girl on the bed.

Later on:

The day was finally over and they had to go home. Everyone had fun in the beach as Sumire thought that they should be rewarded for the job well done. The vacation was worth it.

They started getting in the bus. The other freshmen occupied the front seat while the regulars occupied the back. Ryoma decided to sit in the middle. Momo called him but he told him that he felt sick sitting at the back. Momo and Eiji looked at each other before they decided to sit with their own seat. The girls hadn't got on the bus. He smirked when he saw the pigtailed-girl. To everyone and the girl's surprise, he grabbed her front waist and pulled her to sit near the window beside him.

"What's that, Echizen?" Fuji looked at them.

"She's sitting with me because I feel sick at the back. I don't have someone sitting beside me anyway," He explained but his stare was on the girl who was looking down and blushing at his sudden action, "You wouldn't mind right, Osakada-san, Ryuzaki-sensei?"

Both girls looked at them. Sakuno looked back at them as if she was asking for help. But the girls smirked and shrugged.

"I won't mind, you can sit beside me Tomoka." Sumire said which Tomoka nodded at her offer.

After the teases as the bus moved, they finally left them alone. Sakuno was awfully embarrassed. She held both of her hands on her lap. W-what is Ryoma-kun thinking? First, h-he kissed me and then… t-this? She didn't have the time to think it over when Ryoma's hand grabbed one of her. She blushed because of the sudden contact.

"Relax," He said as he looked ahead, "What I did earlier wasn't a joke. I always wanted to do that but you caught me?"

"E-eh?"

"This was one wonderful outing." He gave her a tiny smile as he gripped his hold to her hand.

She blushed as she looked down. Biting her lower lip, she nodded too without her noticing that she did. Later on, Ryoma yawned. Then, she remembered that she was still tired. She couldn't sleep after the kiss. Her eyes were inviting her to sleep once again. She was about to lean her head on the back rest but Ryoma gestured her head to his shoulder with his other hand. She didn't resist but she still blushed.

Due to tiredness, she fell asleep, not until she felt something on her head. After that, she fell into slumber.

Later on:

The Regulars, the freshmen, Sumire and Tomoka were looking at them as their reached Seigaku.

"They're cute, aren't they?" Fuji said as he decided to take a photo of them.

Sumire nodded without words to reply.

Sakuno was sleeping on Ryoma's shoulder while the boy's head was on her head. They were sleeping soundly in each other's warmth.

Done! How was this drabble? Tee hee hee… The last scene was inspired from the episode where Ryoma and Momo slept with their heads leaning to each other when they arrived from a camping trip in the series.

Total word Count: (1,500 – third! Whew it is hard to keep up with the numbers.)
