"Holy Shit!" Shouted a very surprised Kairon. "Your house is huge!" He bellowed once more looking at the giant manor that stood before him. He was almost intimidated by just the size of the door. The heavy black oak double doors stood eight foot tall and both doors had a total width of eight foot. On the front of these doors was the white reaper skull capturing the sunlight and reflecting it proudly back across the street.

Kairon then saw an open window on the second floor towards the left of the house. From the window emitted the sound of metal music which blasted across the street. Maka then looked at where the window was and listened to the music. "Well Soul is home." Maka said while putting up a very convincing act of annoyance. Of course she couldn't actually be annoyed it was the only time she could listen to it without giving her secret away. "I wonder who else is in?" She then wondered aloud while walking towards the door to open it.

As she opened the door Frost soon followed and held the door open while looking back at Kairon. "Well? You comin in or what?" Asked Frost.

Kairon seemed to snap back to consciousness again. "Yeah sorry." He replied rushing to the door.

Kairon looked around the lobby in amazement, once again startled by the enormous size of everything. "You get used to it, eventually!" Shouted Maka from atop the stairs to the left of the room. "C'mon, I'll show ya to your room" Maka continued happily with a spring in her step. Kairon quickly rushed up the stairs to see Maka get swept of her feet and held like a princess by Kid, who had herd his wife's voice and rushed to greet her on the stairway. "Kid! You startled me." Maka said after gasping in shock.

"I heard my Princess come home. I had to come greet you." Said Kid with a charm in his voice that Maka always struggled to resist.

"Dad come on, you don't need to greet her like that all the time!" Frost stated sarcastically.

Kid looked up to see Frost walking past with a smirk on his face and then Kairon, almost invisible at first but then he said, "If I'm interrupting I can wait downstairs." He began to brace for a loud shouting at like his father used to give him.

The charming reaper lowered Maka to her feet. "Sorry about that Kiddy." Maka said cheekily. "Looks like you will have to wait." She continued, winking at Kid as she walked past him.

Kid pouted and then turned his attention to Kairon who stood confused at their lack of anger towards. "Hello Kairon, welcome to Gallows Manor." Kid said with a friendly and welcoming tone. "I'm guessing Maka has offered for you to stay the night?" Kid questioned curiously, getting straight to the point like he always does.

"Yeah if its not a problem." Kairon said shyly. "But if it is I will just go, I'd hate to impose." He continued respectfully.

Kid smirked and said, "Its not a problem at all make yourself at home I'll give you a full tour when you are settled in and then..."

Suddenly a door flew open behind Kid. Kid looked back wondering what was happening. "Babe chill he is cool now!" Shouted Soul as Liz stormed out the room towards Kairon.

Liz stopped and looked passed Kid. She saw a purple eyed demon in front of her an nothing else. "It is a problem." Liz stated angrily. "So leave!" She then commanded furiously.

Kairon looked down, closed his eyes and turned away. "I understand, I'm sorry for being a bother." Kairon said softly.

Kairon began to walk downstairs. "Kairon, stay right there." Demanded Kid.

"Liz don't do this." Said Soul sadly.

"So now your taking this, things side!" Snapped Liz as she gestured Kairon with her left arm. "Look at the state it put you in!" She continued angrily.

"He didn't know what he was doing Liz, you weren't even there! And Kairon is not a thing, he is human!" Soul snapped back at Liz defending Kairon.

"Barely!" Liz screamed at him.

Kid watched them argue and thought to himself "There they go again. Best to leave them to it, however I should get Kairon out of here before Liz gets out of control." Kid turned to the stairs to see no one there and the door slam. The room went quiet. "He's gone?" Kid questioned aloud.

"Good fuckin' riddance!" Shouted Liz and she stormed back into her room. Frost came out of his room with his headphones round his neck "Where's Kairon?" He asked, not knowing what happened Maka then realized what happened and rushed for the door. "Maka!" Soul shouted as he chased after her turning into a scythe for Maka to wield. The two began to take off looking for Kairon from an aerial view.

Meanwhile Kairon had ran into the cities backstreets and alleyways looking for somewhere to be alone as he began to breakdown and fall to pieces once again. He fell to his knees and cried, hiding his face in his hands. "See, you don't belong anywhere." Said a voice behind him. Fear and rage filled his body. He knew that voice. He looked back in disbelief as his eyes began to turn red. He saw nothing. "It's too late Kairon, you can't escape me now." Said the same voice, that vile and horrific voice that struck fear into even the most cold hearted of killers. Kairon turned around desperately searching for the source of the voice. "You can't run from me now. You should now that." Said the voice again. Kairon gripped his head as he rapidly lost his mind as his insanity and black blood consumed his consciousness. "I'm in your head Kairon." Said the voice growing louder. By this time, black tears had soaked his clothes. "I'M IN YOUR HEART!" Screamed the voice. Kairon screamed in agony and collapsed to the ground. "At least whats left of it after I tore it out." whispered the voice in his ear. Kairon lifted his head and looked to the end of the street. "So long killer. I always knew you were pathetic." Kairon saw the silhouette of the woman who had tortured him for years walking away from him.

"Kairon!" Screamed another voice in desperation. Kairon quickly realized it was a different person and his anger turned to sorrow. Kairon saw it was Maka as she sheathed soul (still in scythe form) on her back. Maka crouched next to Kairon and picked him up out of the black puddle he was laying in. "Kairon, whats wrong!?" She questioned wanting to help Kairon in any way she can.

"She is everywhere!" Kairon screamed. "She is in my head! I hear her screaming at me! Help me! Somebody please stop the screaming!" He screamed again in sadness and agony. Soul changed to human form and walked off, knowing that there wasn't any danger from Kairon as Maka pulled him closed and hugged him as he cried his eyes out on Maka's shoulder.

Meanwhile back at Gallows Manor...

"What the hell was that about Liz!" Snapped Kid at his weapon partner as he pounded on her door. As Kid stopped hitting the door, Liz opened it and embraced Kid.

"I'm sorry." She sobbed as she let go of her Meister and wiped her eyes. "I didn't mean to snap at him, I was just so angry about what he did to Soul and I just lost it when I heard him."

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to Liz." Kid said calmly. "What you said was way out of line, you know he is fragile and you knew he wasn't in control of what he did." He continued bluntly.

"I know Kid was just so angry that I didn't think I'll apologize to him when he comes back." Sobbed Liz

"If he come's back at all." Kid said coldly. "I just hope we can find him."

"You're going to look for him!" Said Liz enthusiastically as Kid's phone vibrated in his pocket. "Let me and patty help you out." She continued as she wiped the tears off her face.

Kid looked at the message he received from Soul "Hey kid. We found Kairon, Maka is taking care of him I'm gunna get him a drink he cried. Alot! And tell Liz I'm sorry for rushing off without sayin goodbye. - Soul."

"No need." Said Kid stopping Liz from leaving her room. "They found him and Soul said sorry for leaving without saying goodbye."

"Thanks Kid that's great news." Said Liz tearfully. "I'm gunna sit on my bed and think of an apology now." She stated as she stepped into her room

"Alright hope you come up with something soon, good luck" Said Kid as he closed the door. Kid then returned to his study room to his coffee and waited for Maka, Soul and Kairon.

Five minutes later, in an alleyway near Death Plaza.

"Kairon, you gunna be alright." Asked Soul handing him a can of cola. Kairon was sat up against the wall resting his head on Maka's shoulder who was also sat next to him.

"Thanks Soul, I'll be alright now. Was she right though?" Kairon asked sadly. "Maybe it would be better if I did fade to the darkness and never return. That way I wouldn't hurt anyone anymore." Maka was about to interrupt but Soul stopped her. "But I have come way to far to just give up here. I made it out of that hell hole in the desert. I made it to Death City and most importantly." Kairon paused to look at Maka and Soul. "I finally know what friendship is." Kairon stated tearing up with happiness. "I won't forget the things you both have done for me. I'm sorry I caused you so much trouble, I feel awful that I made Liz angry and that I injured all of you so badly."

"It's fine bro, chill. You didn't know what you were doing. You had no control over what happened. I understand how volatile the Black Blood is and how hard it is to tame." Stated Soul, knowing the pain and suffering that the Black Blood can cause. "So we are gunna help you control it and we are enrolling you into the academy tomorrow. That sound alright with you dude?" Asked Soul as he sat on the floor in front of Kairon.

"You would really enroll me into the academy. I'd love that!" Said Kairon happily. Kairon then shivered from the cold.

"C'mon then Kairon, let's get you back inside before you freeze to death." Stated Maka happily as she helped Kairon to his feet.

Kairon began to observe the can in his hand as they walked back to Gallows Manor. "How the hell do I open this thing?" Asked Kairon dumbfounded by the metallic mystery in his hand.

Maka then promptly reached over and opened the can as Kairon looked in amazement. "Just like that." Chirped Maka happily.

"Thanks." Replied Kairon with a large smile on his face. Kairon took a liking to the cola and therefore was finished quickly. The can was then thrown into a nearby bin as they walked back onto the main street.

They made it back to Gallows Manor after about a five minute walk through the winding streets of Death City. They were greeted by James Frost who was stood outside the front door smoking a cigarette. Maka, Soul and Kairon waved to James to indicate all is good and to say hello. James waved back. Kairon who was walking at the back of the three of them felt something pull against his left arm and stopped. He looked down to see James had held him in place with his left arm. James withdrew the cigarette from his mouth, inhaled the smoke and breathed it out with a sigh. "You know none of what happened earlier with Liz was your fault right?" He asked compassionately. "She was just angry, she does it quite often but usually she is quite a nice lady. She just has a nasty habit of saying whats on her mind as and when it happens." James concluded as he brought the cigarette back to his mouth, the embers illuminating the sorrowful glaze behind his eyes. Kairon picked up on his sadness and made a mental note to see if he is okay later. Right now he wanted to get out of the cold. He acknowledged James statement with a quick nod. "Good." Said James as he puffed smoke from his mouth and looked to the sky, lowering the cigarette once more to his side and released Kairon's arm from his firm yet kind grip.

Kairon then took a deep breath as he looked to the door in front of him and stepped inside. As he walked through the door, he felt the climate change around him. Warm air rapidly surrounded him and filled up his lungs, a much needed change from Shiva's icy breath down his neck. It was a welcome reprieve from the usual breeze the whipped wickedly at his exposed skin. His wonder of the environment around was spontaneously interrupted as he was ambushed and attack hugged by a crying woman. To Kairon's amazement, Liz was crying deeply onto Kairon's shoulder "I'm sorry." She whispered, each syllable brimming with sorrow. "I'm sorry for what it said. I didn't mean it, I swear." She continued to sob into Kairon's already soaked clothes.

Kairon's dumbfounded expression transitioned into one of pity. Each tear that fell from her eyes tore Kairon apart little by little from the inside. He quickly and gently preceded to embrace Liz and tried to calm her down. "It's okay, honestly." Kairon was still hurt inside from what she said but he was mature enough to know that she was just trying to care for Soul. As Liz looked up into Kairon's purple eyes, dull with sadness, he wiped the tears from her face and forced a smile onto his own. "I know you didn't mean it." He continued as he drew her close again to comfort not only her but himself.

After a few minutes to calm down, the two returned upstairs to rejoin the people who patiently waited for them. Kairon was given some camouflage gear that James had spare to borrow until he had some gear of his own and was given a full tour of the Manor from Maka. His previous clothes were damaged and soak beyond repair or restoration so they were burn after Kairon got a shower and got changed. the feeling of the heat from the disintegrating fabrics acted almost like a painkiller to Kairon's soul. The rest of the day went as you would expect, with supper served at roughly 8 pm and then spent the rest of the night socializing and getting to know everyone. Kairon seemed to fit right in with the gang and rather enjoyed watching films with them till midnight. That was when he fell asleep on the sofa. Kid then carried him to his room and tucked him in for the night.
