Ch11: Ready to Start
Everything from here on out was straight forward. We were surrounded. "Lady Dialga! I've got them cornered!" Called Dusknoir. Dialga appeared. Her blue veins had transformed to orange. Must have been the caused by her corruption. The portal was right behind them. If only we could get to it. I looked upon the masses of Sableye, in the middle was Dialga and Dusknoir, sneering menacingly at her side. "We're screwed..." I hear Grovyle muttered to himself. We all were shaking in fear. Me more than the rest of us. I couldn't even feel my legs anymore. My voice, hell, my body didn't work anymore.
"You know what?" Grovyle said aloud. "This is just fine! We don't need to go back!"
"Oh?" Dusknoir raised his eyebrow, and cracked a smile. "Why is that?"
"Cause my partner Sinclair will finish this for me! This is the end of a bleak, depressing world." I admit his proclamation shocked even me. I looked at him with the most questioning expression I could muster.
"Sinclare? What is he talking about?" Vincent asked.
"Wait, you're here?!" Grovyle questioned. I didn't know what to make of this. I wondered to myself what this meant.
"I-"
"Arceus dammit, this is just perfect!" Grovyle hissed, holding his head in between his claws. "Fuck... Fuck... Fuck!" Okay... this isn't that bad right? Stupid question. Is it possible that we could get out of this? A more stupid question. Shit, we were indeed fucked no matter what.
"Any ideas?" I asked, hoping someone would have a trick up their sleeve. No response. "Anyone?"
"Vincent?" Nothing.
"Grovyle?" I got an angry look. That didn't help... at all.
"Celebi?"
"Well..." She responded in a whisper. "I could transport us a few seconds in time and just a few feet in front of us past the snarling wall of Sableye."
"Do you think that would work?" Vincent asked?
"Only one way to find out!" I could feel Celebi's energy flaring around us. Everything began to meld together, forming a blobbed mass of color that could not be deciphered by normal eyes. The sight was physically sickening, I felt my stomach wrench and turn with the time fluctuations. Make it stop, make it stop! I mentally shouted loudly. Everything formed again, but the sickness did not fade. And there was the portal. We were home free!
A loud roar came from nowhere. As my vision settled, my gaze was cast up a truly horrible sight. Within her gaping maw sat a charging Flash Cannon. "Shit!" Shouted Grovyle, moving in front of us. "Protect!" The barrier snapped into existence just in time. The silver deluge of energy hit with a loud crash, stirring fear as well as the wind. I squinted watching silver sparks dance within the air. Grovyle teeth grit at the strain this was causing.
Dusknoir laughed evilly. "This is the power of Lady Dialga! Tremble before her might!"
"Fuck you! Everyone quickly to the portal!" Celebi shouted. "I'll hold them off!" Celebi came through with her promise. I could feel her powers ignite in such a powerful way. She grasped at the energy of the Flash Cannon, and contain it. It ceased forward motion, still sparking in life.
"Wait let us help!" Grovyle shouted.
"GO!" Holding back the assault, somehow she pushed us through as well. Amongst the swirling colors of the portal, I blacked out.
"Damn..." I whispered. My head was swimming amidst an ocean. I could barely stand.
"Sinclair! Why? When? More importantly do you know who I am?"
"I don't have any clue who you are, or who I am. But we have got more important things to worry about!" I shouted. "We need to keep that bleak ass future from coming to be."
"Fair enough, now. I know where the first gear is. Let's go."
"We don't have time for this!" I tossed him our map. "Mark where they are on the map. Vincent and I will get those and you get the others we will meet her once we have succeeded. Agreed?"
"Agreed." We all said in unison. Grovyle turned on a dime, and dashed into the woods, but no before throwing the map back.
"Sinclare, are you sure about all of this?" He asked.
"Well what the hell else are we suppose to do? We can't just stand by and turn into "that" now can we?"
"I suppose not-"
"You suppose?" I shouted angrily.
"Is this right?" Vincent asked. "Nothing that involves stealing could be right. What if what we had just experience was a dream? What if it was a collective dream? Maybe it was enemies trying to get in our head."
"Be logical, Vincent! We didn't share the same damn dream! Besides we don't have enemies that are psychic Pokemon." I breathed a heavy sigh. "If you aren't going to help me, than go back to the guild! I'll do his myself, and don't get in my way." I walked away from him. I checked, the map and stared with deternimation in my eyes. Treeshroud forest... Here I come!
A/N: Very short and maybe a bit anti-climatic, I know. But! I maybe wrong here, their's that old saying, "Less is more". All you should know is that this is the last very short chapter. And expect ch12 by Sunday night, or Monday night at the latest. I hope you all enjoyed this small slice, and I'm sure on the next chapter you will have your fill. I will see you all on Sunday or Monday. Sunday, I assure you.
