Austin's POV (The Day Of the Masquerade)

I was scrapping gum off the lunch tables when Ally came over and started to wipe down the table. Apparently the principle hates us, she's making us work in school, obviously she's ignoring the freaking work we already do in the damn classrooms.

"Are you guys down over there I need to mop the floor." Dylan complained leaning against the wall. I stood up and glared at him, "Ya know we wouldn't be here if you and your stupid brain didn't get us into the fucking mess!" I yelled at him.

Ally threw a rag at me. "Stop! For once just freaking stop you two. We've been here for 2 hours and look what we've gotten done!" She snapped at both of us. I could tell she was serious because she was turning red and I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. She didn't even deserve to be here.

Dylan scoffed and began mopping the floor as Ally went back to cleaning the lunch tables.

Yesterday my parents grounded me from my phone, took away my car, and locked my guitar up in the attic. But too bad for them because I have a little ukulele under my bed so tough knuckles. "This is fucking stupid." Dylan whined under his breath.

"Yeah bozo I wonder who started the damn thing in the first place!" I snapped. What an idiot. Dylan threw the mop to the side and grabbed my shirt, "You're such a freaking jerk!"

"Well you're a douche!" I yelled pushing him away. Ally screamed and we snapped our heads in her direction. "Shut up!" She yelled, "You guys are freaking ridiculous!"

"I can't take it anymore I haven't gotten my hand on a soccer ball for two hours I'm leaving." Dylan pushed me to the side and walked out of the cafeteria leaving me and Ally to just stand there. "He's such a jackass..." She said sitting down in a seat. I sighed and walked over to her, "Now you know what I live with every day."

She laughed and I smiled. Her smile brightened my day, it was strange but a good feeling. "Yeah, looks like I'm getting suspended." She whispered softly under her breath. I sighed leaning back against the chair groaning I stood up, "You're going to the masquerade tonight."

Ally cocked an eyebrow, "What do you mean? Look at this place.."

"I'll do it on my own you deserve to go Ally. As much as I want to go I'll stay here and clean, I mean it's not too bad nothing I can't handle." I said with reluctant smile. What was I saying? This place looked like a tornado swept over it.

"Austin I don't know." She said looking me in the eyes. I took her hands in mine and I could see the blush appear on her cheeks, "Ally do you trust me?"

She smiled and slightly nodded, "Then get your ass out of here girl I'll take care of it." I gave her a wink and she stood up giving me a tight hug. "Thank you!" She squealed running out of the cafeteria.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "Hey Austin!" I looked over to see Dez and Dallas walking through the doors. Suddenly I got an idea, it was perfect. "Hey boys so let's talk." I said as they sat down in a chair. "Yeah but first have you seen the hot cheerleader today Trent said he got her number." Dallas exclaimed casually.

I blinked my eyes at his unusual statement. "Anyways," I said slowly ignoring Dallas' idiotic sentence, "I need you guys to do me a huge favor."

"Anything buddy!" Dez said with a bright smile. He was really going to regret this...

"Well, I need you guys to clean the cafeteria while I go to the masquerade dance tonight." I said rather quickly. Dez's jaw dropped and Dallas gave me a I'm-going-to-fucking-kill-you look. "Oh come on guys you owe me!" I argued.

"Yeah for what?! You nearly busted my head at the party!" Dallas yelled.

"Yeah and you missed skipping school for Ally only to get found in a hospital! What were you two doing having sex with dangerous explosives in the backseat?!" Dez snapped at me. I scoffed, "We were not having sex Dez and Dallas that's because you nearly raped the freaking chick!"

"I was clearly drunk Austin you've never flipped out on me while I was drunk before why the change all of a freaking sudden?" Dallas chimed in. "I'm out." Dez said walking away. Dallas rolled his eyes grabbing Dez's shirt pulling him back, "What's in it for us were going to miss the dance for this fucking mess anyways."

I smirked, "I'll do your homework and projects for a month."

Dez spoke up, "Two." He argued.

"One!"

"Two!"

"One!" I yelled getting in his face. Dallas pushed me back giving me a pissed off look, "Leave it at freaking two dude or he won't shut his trap just go and get ready we'll finish up here." He said giving me a push for the cafeteria doors. "Thanks!"

"Yeah thank my ass dude just go!" Dallas yelled as I pushed the doors open.

I ran through the hallways and dashing past a crowd of cheerleaders. "Austin where do you think you're going!" I stopped in my tracks to see Kira standing there. She looked really hot in her cheer leading outfit...

"My face is up here Austin.." She said with flirtatious giggle. I smirked and leaned against the wall, "Where are you lovely ladies going to?" I asked putting on my charm. I heard the cheerleaders giggle and saw a thin layer of blush across their cheeks. What can I tell you? I'm irresistible.

"We're helping with the masquerade dance. You should help Austin!" Kira said grabbing my hands. I tried pulling back but damn does the girl has a tight grip. "Kira look I've got to get home I'm trying to get ready for the dance."

"Oh no problem Austin we have outfits and costume's on the drama stage wear those!"

I groaned as she led me to the gym. The gym was huge, for no reason it was really big. We entered the gym looked amazing everything was black, white and red it was beautiful and cool looking. "Go to the drama department you should find some spare clothes there."

"Thanks Kira." I said running off. Kira was my 10th grade crush but I soon got over it realizing she was nothing but a gossip. Which bothered me a lot.

I quickly ran to the drama room, once I was in I looked through the rack of clothing. I can't believe I'm doing this crap...

I pulled off my shirt throwing it to the side as I pulled on a white dress shirt with buttons on them. I unbutton some of them and smirked. I was liking this shirt...

I pulled off my jeans looking left and right just to make sure no one was looking.

"Hello Austin..." I looked up to see Cassidy leaning against the wall. I could see her eyes roaming up my body as I quickly slipped my jeans back on buttoning them. "Hi Cassidy." I snapped giving her a cold look.

She strutted over to me and circled around me. Clicking her tongue seductively she spoke, "My my my Austin you've grown up."

"You can cut the bull crap Cassidy you know I'm done with you." I said gulping as she grabbed my shoulders. "Well I'm not done with you." She grabbed my face kissing me hard. I put my hands on her waist pushing her away. "You bitch what the fuck!" I yelled wiping my lips.

She giggled, "Oh Austin you shouldn't have called me that especially since we don't want problems with our-" Suddenly we heard a voice. "Austin are you in here it's me Kira I found you a mask you might want to use!"

Cassidy smirked then roamed her hands around my back, "See you later." She winked and disappeared behind the curtains. I took a deep breath, when did my jeans feel really tight all of sudden?

I shook my head of the thoughts and yelled for Kira to come back.

"Here ya go." She said tossing me the mask. I smiled, it was black but had stripes of silver metal coloring around it. I looked it cool. "Thanks Kira see you later."

She nodded and walked away. I quickly pulled off my jeans and slipped into black dress pants along with black dress shoes and a black collared coat that I left unbuttoned.

I pulled on my mask and stood in front of a mirror.

I fixed my hair and found some hairspray on a chair. Spraying it on my hair I slicked my hair back making sure it looked just right.

I stepped behind the curtains and opened the door. Suddenly I was surrounded by lights. The hallway was lit up with tons of them, the whole hallway was decorated black, red, and white. I starred in amazement as I could feel the pulsating sound of music through the way the ground vibrated underneath my feet.

I popped my collar and walked down the hallway heading for the gym. I opened the doors and music hit my ears. The sound of people talking and laughing made me smile at how fun this was actually going to be.

I saw people grinding and dancing on each other as I made my way through the humongous crowd of people. I looked at my watch seeing that it was only 8:47, Ally should be here by now.

I searched through the crowd looking for any familiar brunette's. Suddenly my eyes landed on a girl and I just knew it was Ally I could tell because she was playing with her charm bracelet Dylan gave her for their one month anniversary. I remember because it left me covered in hot glue from the glue gun and sparkles.

I cleared my throat and walked over but just as I was about to go up to her someone pulled me out of my path. "Austin what the fuck are you doing here?!"

I could remember that voice from anywhere. "Oh I'm sorry Dylan did you expect the brother who is the bad boy of school to do work and let you have fun, it would be a cold day in hell if I let that happen." I said with a clever smirk. "Well who's cleaning the cafeteria Ally doesn't deserve to be suspended!" He whisper yelled at me.

"You should have thought about that before cheating on her now get out of my way and go make out with Cassidy will you?" I snapped at him before walking away. I fixed my collar and walked over to Ally. She was still sitting there sipping on a drink.

"Well hello." I said with a small smile.

She looked up at me and I knew it was her, that same smile stretched across her lips. "Hi." She said with a shy smile. I held my hand out, "Would you like to dance?" I asked politely.

She quirked an eyebrow before gently placing her hand in mine. I smirked and lead her to the dance floor. I grabbed her waist pulling our bodies close together as we slowly danced to the rhythm of the music. "I-I like your mask." she spoke suddenly.

I laughed softly, "Thank you, yours too."

She smiled and rested her head on my shoulder. "I feel like I know you from somewhere."

"Well you don't, I go to another school um called Monica High." I said nervously. It was the worst lie I have ever told but with Ally it's just different. "Monica High? I've never heard of it before, is it new?" She asked curiously.

"Yeah but it's not in this district yeah so uh you go to this school?" I asked. I knew it was a stupid question but the whole point of this mask was to be a totally different person. "Yeah." She said softly. I breathed in her scent she smelled like vanilla and lavender and it made me go high.

"This school seems amazing." I said faking my enthusiasm. "No," She spat coldly, "all it's filled with is cold, heartless, jerks who manage to call themselves men..."

"Relationship problems?" I asked her dipping her all of sudden. She gasped and smiled blushing intensely. I lifted her back up, I managed to sink in every detail of her dress. It was red and had black lace for the neck line. There was gold zipper down her back and her mask was black with lace. Her heels were gold and black and to be honest it was sexiest most tempting dress I've ever seen and it looked perfect on Ally.

I then realize she nodded and wrapped her arms around my neck, "Yeah it's just stupid boys want everything and aren't happy with what they have." She said looking down. I lifted her chin forcing her to look at me, "Well if you were mine, you'd be my one and only love."

Her big brown eyes looked at me with passion. I leaned in and kissed her holding onto her tight like she was my last breath. Her lips moved in perfect sync with mine, I could feel her soft pink lips move over mine as I did the same. The shock of electricity shooting through my back was the best experience in the world. Nothing and I mean nothing could top this feeling.

I pulled back and opened my eyes realizing I was closing them the whole time. "That was..."

"Amazing." I finished for her. I kissed her forehead holding her closely, nothing could ruin this moment.

*Ring Ring*

Well maybe that.

"Excuse me for a minute." I said pulling out my phone.

I gave Ally a smile before answering the call, "What Dez?" I whisper yelled turning my back from Ally. "Sorry this will only take minute." I said to her. She smiled and I went back to my conversation. "Dude Mrs Ciprello is on her way to the cafeteria!"

"What?!" I yelled softly. "Yeah Dallas just messaged me that she was going to check on Ally, Dylan, and you!" He said frantically.

"Ok I'm on my way be there in 10." I said closing my phone. I turned back to Ally, "Hey I'm sorry but I have to go." I said quickly. "Wait why are you leaving so early the dance just started." She said sadly.

I smiled weakly and took her hand in mine. "I'll see you again I promise." I kissed her hand softly before running off into the crowd. I ran into the hallway and quickly made it to the cafeteria doors.

I opened them and saw Dez with a panicked look on his face. "Dude you're outfit!" He exclaimed. "Damn it!" I yelled in annoyance. "Uh um dude give me your pants!"

Dez gasped, "Whoa you're not borrowing my pants."

"Come on dude I'm desperate here!" I begged. He groaned and pulled off his jeans tossing them to me. I slipped out of the black dress pants and threw them at him. I slipped into his uncomfortable jeans and grabbed a towel wetting it down.

"Mrs. Ciprello have you heard of teen wolf I hear it's a great show..." I heard Dallas' voice from outside the cafeteria doors. "Fuck dude you need to get out of here!"

Dez slipped on the dress pants and ran towards the back doors leading to the outside of the cafeteria.

I started the wiping down the tables just as the cafeteria doors opened.

I pulled off my mask shoving it down my shirt just as I saw Mrs. Ciprello's face. "Oh hello Austin." She greeted. I turned and flashed my smile. "Hey Mrs. Ciprello just working hard."

"Where are the others?" She asked. "Oh well we each assigned a special job and part of the cafeteria and they finished so I stayed back just to check and clean up." I said with a cheesy smile. Dallas gave me a thumbs up and I rolled my eyes. "Well the cafeteria looks spotless thank you Austin and tell Dylan and Ally I said thank you as well."

I nodded and she gave me smile before walking out the door but she stopped in her tracks. "Austin is that a dress shirt you're wearing from the drama department?" She asked suspiciously. I looked down and silently cursed to myself. I can't believe I forgot the damn shirt.

"Oh Kira came in wanted to mess around you know us high schoolers always dilly dallying around!" I said with a fake laugh. She gave me a confused smile before nodding and walked away.

I gave out a sigh and leaned against the chair. "Damn bro that was some mighty fine lying back there." Dallas said hopping onto the table. "Aye dude I just cleaned that."

"You mean I just cleaned that." He snapped. I laughed and ran my fingers through my hair. He hopped off and patted my shoulder, "So Dez and I worked out an agreement it turns out you don't have to do our homework for two months!" He exclaimed with a smirk.

I gave a sigh of relief.

"Thanks." I said with a smile.

"No thank you Dez already took your debit card so you don't have to worry about a thing. Bye!" He yelled running out of the cafeteria.

The smile was soon wiped off my face.

Well at least they didn't take my ticket to the Bruno Mars concert.

Suddenly Dallas ran back in, "Oh and thanks for Bruno Mars ticket that was a real treat!" He said before running off again.

"Dallas!" I barked running after him.
