I. AM. BACK.
Oh yeah! Rock star pose! B)
Writer's block and life tried to stop me but they failed ):)
…I guess you want me to shut up and show you the story huh? XD Let's get to it!
Chapter 11- Austin's POV
I fiddled with my french fries at lunch, still annoyed by what had happened at the theater a couple nights ago. Chuck, Trent, and Dez watched me, slightly concerned.
"You okay there…?" Dez asked as Chuck took the fry out of my hand and started to eat it.
"What? Oh uh… Yeah," I replied, snatching the fry back. Finally snapped out of my thoughts, I continued (or started) eating my fries. A few minutes later, a very reluctant-looking Ally walked up with her two friends- I think they're Trish and Elliot?
"Hey Austin!" Trish said, surprisingly cheerfully.
"Uh, hey?" I replied, taking a fry off of Dez's, who was strangely distracted, plate. Trish nudged Ally.
"I don't want to," Ally mumbled, sounding very much like a two year-old. And I refuse to mention the fact that she sounded adorable doing it- darn it…
"Ally," Trish grunted quietly. Ally moaned.
"Austin do you want to be in my band. Happy now Trish?" she grumbled.
"Band? …What band?" I asked, intrigued.
"Ally wrote a song, and me, Elliot, and Cassidy-" Trish started.
"Cassidy? My ex-girlfriend?" I interrupted her.
"Yes now let me finish," she glared at me. "Me, Elliot, and Cassidy were backing her up, but Cassidy broke her hand, so she had to quit. So we thought you could replace her." Ally mumbled something that I'd rather not repeat.
"So… just music?" I asked. Trish and Elliot nodded. Ally rolled her eyes again. "…I'll think about it," I replied. They walked off, satisfied- well maybe not Ally. Once they were gone, Trent and Chuck burst into laughter.
"You aren't really going to join their dorky-dork-music-band-of-dorks, right?" Chuck said through laughs.
"One, too many 'dork'," I told him. He shrugged. "And two, why not?"
"Music's for dorks," Trent said.
"Seriously stop it with the word dork!" I groaned.
"You really want to join up with those losers doing the most uncool thing ever?" Chuck asked, crossing his arms.
"What's so uncool about music?" Dez suddenly jumped up.
"What ISN'T uncool about music?!" Chuck laughed at him.
"What about Austin Mahone? You think he's awesome," Dez pointed out, "and he's a music star. Why isn't he uncool-slash-loser-slash-dork?"
"Well uh…" Chuck stuttered.
"Austin IS joining that band, whether you like it or not!" Dez said crossing his arms.
"Wait, what if I don't like it?!" I protested. Dez ignored me and Chuck and Trent sunk into their seats.
Later, I pulled up at Ally's house. I looked around, starting to regret it, but reminded myself that "it was for the music". I climbed out of my car and knocked on the door.
"I got it!" I heard Ally call. She opened the door. "Oh uh… you came," she said, sounding just a bit disappointed.
"Is that a bad thing?" I asked, insulted.
"Uh… no?" she said slowly. I glared at her and headed in. "Trish and Elliot are in the basement, I'll be down in a sec," she told me. I made a small smile and headed down the stairs. Trish and Elliot were drinking water and studying the music sheets.
"Hey Austin," Trish called. Elliot made a small wave, but looked like he was trying to ignore me. I shrugged- two can play at that game. Trish handed me a sheet of music and I practiced a couple of chords on my guitar. Ally came down and Elliot's scowl became a smile.
"Alright, ready?" Ally asked. We all nodded and Elliot counted us off.
(Italics = Sung by Ally, Bold = Sung by Austin, Trish, and Elliot, Bold Italics = Sung by all)
Here I am
This is me
And I'm stronger than you ever thought I'd be
Are you shocked?
Are you mad?
That you're missing out on who I really am
Now it looks like the joke's on you
Cuz the girl that you thought you knew
Before I knew it I was smiling, tapping my toes, and nodding my head to the beat.
She's so gone
She's so gone
That's so over now
She's so gone
She's so gone
You won't find her around
Ally looked back in my general direction- but I'm sure she was really looking like Elliot. I mean, he was only a couple inches to my right, it's not like it's impossible for perspective to change it. But the look she gave when she looked back at me- or Elliot or whatever- ...I just couldn't shake it. No matter what, that face stared into my brain. A look of... Satisfaction. Joy. Comfort. I don't know. But it was a look of... happiness. Definitely happiness. A look that I'd remember no matter what. That look... The look.
You can look but you won't see
The girl I used to be
Cuz she
She's so gone
"That. Was. Awesome!" Ally said, excited. "I think we're almost ready for the concert!"
"Might wanna practice a couple more times," I reminded her with a small smile. She nodded and grabbed her mike.
Next chapter is the concert! And to make up for the fact that the last two were Ally's POV, it'll be Austin's POV again. :) I'm so glad the horrible writer's block left (wipes sweat off brow)
Oh btw, Ask! will still continue. And you can ask the characters questions based off of this story instead of just the show.
