Derek's POV
The four of us arrived at the safe house, which was located on the outskirts of the third town they had passed the last couple of hours. Personally I liked this safe house the most since it was located in the middle of a forest where no one usually entered, peace and quiet was hard to find and it was something I was in desperate need of due to the fact that I was a werewolf. However at the moment it really didn't matter because we had more important things to do. Our main priority was to rescue dad and after that I could finally have time to deal with this whole marriage thing with Chloe.
I got out of the car and quickly made sure there was no one, enemy or not, lurking around the territory before we all entered the safe house and locked the door behind us. Almost immediately Tori began complaining about all the dust that was gathered around and how there was no light, but the darkness didn't matter much to me and I quickly turned on the power switch. Then we all went into the living room and sat down on the couch. Chloe sat next to me, meanwhile Simon and Tori sat on the couch across from us. We sat there in order to plan what our next move was supposed to be.
"Okay, first thing we need to do is to locate the Edison group's hideout, it is most likely there they are keeping dad," I said. My arms were folded and were leaning against my chest as I stared at each of their reactions. Simon and Chloe looked more or less worried and concern how in the world we were supposed to do that, meanwhile Tori glared at me with her usual smirk.
"So I'm guessing you think I will be able to track them through the computer?" Tori asked. It was a surprise to learn that Tori was a computer geek, because honestly no one would think that just by looking at her, but it was at times like these her computer skills were quite handy.
"Yes, I do," I replied simply, not seeing any use of prolonging the conversation more than necessary. "Get Simon to help you, meanwhile I will keep Chloe up to speed with the Edison group and among other things."
Tori looked at me with this suspicious expression on her face and then said, "I thought she was just an outsider in your eyes. Why the sudden change?"
"No change, but she should at least know what we are up against," I said, almost growling over how observant she could be, but thankfully accepted my answer for now and left it at that.
"Now get going," I ordered her and Simon off. Tori only rolled her eyes in response meanwhile Simon complained over being once again stuck with her. She was his sister, not mine thankfully, so he had to deal with her. And frankly I would rather deal with Chloe despite the fact that she could push my buttons easily than Tori. So the two half-siblings left the living room and went back out to retrieve our bags and the computer, leaving Chloe and I alone.
"So what else were you going to tell me about the Edison group?" Chloe asked, twirling a piece of her hair around her finger. I knew that I shouldn't be doing this right now, but she looked incredibly cute, so I leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips. She kissed me back and then placed her left hand on my cheek. And if I didn't realize it before then I was certain right now how addicting her scent was and I couldn't stop despite my head told me to stop wasting time since we had more important to do, but my inner wolf and heart told me to keep going. I was just about to pull away, but then she began moaning and I felt sudden lost of control. That was when the kiss became more and more hungry and desperate as I pushed her back against the couch pillows. I hovered over her and pulled back for a moment to see her flushed face before I leaned back in and kissed her once again. We both moan in pleasure as we drew closer to each other. Her nails were scratching my back hard and I almost flinched over the pain, but at the same time I was aroused and my wolf was screaming to mark her and take her as his mate.
"D-Derek," Chloe whispered, out of breath. I didn't say anything, but my breathing was just as heavy as hers and I was totally capitated by her. We both were so lost in the moment that I didn't hear Tori and Simon come back into the house before it was too late.
"Oh my god!" Tori screamed. "That's disgusting!"
The sound of her voice snapped us out of the moment and it resulted with me being tipped over the edge of the couch, falling to the floor with Chloe lying on stop of me. My head hurt by the impact, but I didn't care because my first concern was to see if Chloe was all right. She seemed all right, so once I was reassured I turned my focus on the situation at hand.
"Man, Tori. Will you shut up with your screaming?" Simon entered the room. "Your screams are bursting my eardrums."
Then he really saw the picture that was in front of him and his mouth fell by the realization and he was gaping like an idiot.
"What is going on? Since when did you two become so friendly?" Tori said. She ran both of her hands through her hair in an annoyed manner like she had some kind of major headache. I turned to look at Chloe, who in turn looked at me with a questionable expression on her face. What were we going to do? Should we tell them the entire truth or try and cover it up?
Normally I wouldn't really care, although I really didn't want those two to learn about my foolish mistake that lead to me getting married to Chloe after just meeting her the same night and make fun of me, but it was really Chloe's call what she wanted to do. She looked at me unsure for a second until I nodded my head as a sign that she should go for it. Then she turned her gaze away from me and got off my chest. We both sat up and shifted slightly uncomfortable before Chloe opened her mouth and said with this shy smile on her face, "Telling you two now is better than never. Okay, the thing is that our first meeting wasn't back at the house."
"What do you mean?" Simon asked. Tori nodded by the question. Chloe turned her gaze towards her lap and tried to mumble the rest of the explanation, but in the end I lost my patience and said frustrated, "We are married, happy now?"
