Chapter 11

Wrong Decision 1
Headmaster's Office…
"How's my son's performance in this academy?" Hyuuga Ioran, Natsume's father asked to the academy's headmaster –Yukihira Kazu.
"Well, it's really good Hyuuga-san." Kazu replied. His deep brown eyes stared emotionlessly at Ioran's deep red ones.
Ioran nodded. "I see. This academy has quite high reputation huh? Over fifty branches around the world, as expected from the Yukihira's." He said, amazement was visible in his voice.
"Well, thank you. This is just one of my brother's businesses that he entrusted to me."
"I see… I want to meet your brother soon. It'll be an honor to meet him."
"You see, he's on England for the past 6 years for a big project of the main company. I'll inform you if he already made his return."
"I'll be glad to hear something from him soon." Ioran replied, his face showing lots of interest about the Yukihira's.
"You're quite interested in the Yukihira family huh, ojii-san?" A small, bored voice butted in. Ioran looked where the voice came from and he saw a silver haired boy leaning at the door, playing a small portable device on his hands.
"Youichi-kun, you should knock first before you enter." The headmaster reminded. Youichi shrugged his shoulder and sat on a couch in the room. His eyes were still fixed on his portable playstation.
"Well, otou-san and okaa-san never scold me when I enter their room unexpectedly." Youichi answered in a rude manner.
"Who is this boy?" Ioran asked, annoyed because of the kid's uncouth attitude.
Kazu smiled apologetically. "Ah gomen, he's one of the heirs of the Yukihira family, Yukihira Youichi." The headmaster introduced. Ioran's eyes widen. He looked at Youichi again and faked a smile.
"So this is the youngest child of your brother. Well, nice to meet you little boy."
Youichi rolled his eyes. "I don't want to be the heir of otou-san's company, onee-chan can take care of them all." Youichi snapped. Curiosity ran in Ioran's head.
"You have a sister? Where is she?" Youichi stopped tapping the keys of his PSP and stared icily at Ioran.
"She's really hard to find, ojii-san. Well, I met a lot of parents like you, looking for my onee-san and trying hard to pair her with their sons." Youichi replied, his voice and face dripped with disgust.
"That's rude, Youichi-kun." Kazu intervened as he noticed Ioran clenched his fist.
Ioran closed his eyes and sighed heavily, "Well, that's okay, Yukihira-san. I can't deny that fact, it'll be a pleasure to be part of the Yukihira family after all." Ioran said.
Youichi almost laughed at what he said. He stood up and showed an annoying smirk to Ioran.
"Well, I don't like you in our family." Was Youichi's last word before he left the room.
Ioran stared at the retreating figure of Youichi. He heaved a sigh.
"Forgive his rudeness, Hyuuga-san. That kid always talks that wat. My brother spoiled him too much." Kazu apologized.
'He's pissing me off.'
Ioran kept his cool and pretended to be calm. He couldn't believe that a kid could humiliate him that much.
"Its fine." Ioran paused for a minute. "Can I ask about another thing? "He continued.
"Yeah, what is it? As long as it's not about my niece." Kazu let out a small laugh.
"It's about this girl Mikan Sakura." Kazu knitted his brow after hearing his niece name.
'I just said not about her. 'He thought and then remembered that her niece changed her identity. He heaved a very deep sigh.
He looked at Ioran again and asked. "Oh, the kaichou-san, what about her?"
"Kaichou? How did she become a kaichou?" Ioran asked, almost yelling in surprise.
"As you may not know, selecting a student council president is done by voting. She just happened to get the most vote during the elections." Kazu reasoned out. Ioran's face showed disgust over his reasoning.
"This Academy is very exclusive. She also "just" happened to be a friend of Imai Touichi's daughter. Is that why you accepted her here? She's obviously gold-digging the Imai's heir." Ioran explained.
Kazu eyes twitched as he clenched his fist in annoyance. He tried his best to keep his cool.
"Gomen, Hyuuga-san. The student's profiles are quite confidential." The headmaster said in a very cold tone.
Ioran laughed with disbelief written all over his face. "Oh, I see, that's okay." He replied as he felt the tension inside the room.
"Hmm. Can I excuse my son from his class for a while? I just need to talk to him." He said, totally changing the topic.
Kazu nodded. "Sure, you can wait for him in the garden, I'll contact his adviser and send him there."
"Arigato. I'll be taking my leave." Ioran bid goodbye and left the headmaster's room.
"That guy got some nerves." He muttered. He sat to his executive chair and loosen his tie. "I almost lost my cool." He sighed in relief.
…
Ioran was waiting at the academy's garden while sipping a tea. He looked around the surroundings and was very awed at the amazing design of the Academy.
'These Yukihira's were really amazing.' He thought.
Few minutes later, he saw his son approaching him. Natsume glared at him.
"What do you need?" Natsume asked in rude tone. He sat to a chair opposite to his father.
Ioran raised a brow, his blood boiled in annoyance.
"Oh, my oh-so independent son, will you show some respect to me?" Ioran advised in commanding tone.
"Why should I respect you, old man?" Natsume replied, keeping his voice impolite as possible.
"You act liberated now, huh? I'm still your father!" Ioran yelled in anger. His son never respected him and that annoyed him the most.
"I never knew that you're my father." Natsume replied in a matter-of-fact-tone. He stood up and turned around to take his leave but…
"Whatever. My original purpose was to see the girl that you keep on stalking." Natsume stopped on his tracks. He looked angrily at his father.
"Don't you dare to go near her, stupid father." Natsume threatened, his father grinned evilly.
"I won't. I don't want to meet that pathetic girl of yours." Ioran replied, digust dripped on his voice. "I heard that you spent a night with her, Natsume, I'm warning you, stop your foolishness."
Natsume gritted his teeth. "Why do you care? Because I'm your only successor? I don't care about your company! It's all yours!" He said furiously.
"Oh, you have the guts to answer me like that, huh? You can't escape your fate son, and I repeat, stop your madness about that Sakura girl before I take any action. You know me, you know me very well my son." Then Ioran stood up and patted Natsume at his shoulder. "You know me very well." He repeated and left.
Natsume clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. He watched the retreating figure of his father.
"Tch. Stupid father."
…
The next day…
"Natsume-kuun!" A flirty voice echoed in the academy halls.
Natsume's eyes widen in terror. The voice he heard was very familiar to him.
'Damn it. How did this hag know where I've transferred?'
"Natsume-kuun! Wait for me onegai!" She pleaded. Her voiced echoed around the halls.
"Go to hell, bitch, why are you following me?" Natsume said icily. Really icily. But she didn't budge.
"Oh, I really like that attitude of yours!" Luna replied with a very flirty tone. Natsume tried to run, but Luna clasped her arms to his. "I spent millions just to find you, aren't you happy? I'm your girlfriend, right?"
"Tch. No way. Stop following me, ugly hag." Natsume replied, throwing her a disgusted look. He removed her arms around his and sighed in irritation.
"I won't! I'll follow you anywhere." Her eerie flirting voice replied.
Natsume regretted that he met Koizumi Luna.
Natsume reached the Class 3A, much to his relief. He thought Luna will finally get lost but to his surprise, Luna also entered the classroom.
"Will you get lost?"
"No, this is also my classroom." Luna replied with her trademark eerie smile.
Natsume clenched his fist in annoyance and entered the room angrily. He went to his seat, which was behind Mikan's seat. Luna dragged a vacant seat and pulled it closer to Natsume's.
Luna wrapped her arms on Natsume's. Some in the class were glancing at them with disgust visible in their eyes. Luna looked like a clown with her make up on but she didn't mind them, her attention was for his Natsume only. She could feel that Natsume was trying to free his arm from her grip, but she didn't let go.
"Will you get off me?" Natsume said in deadly tone.
"No, you're mine." She replied with that annoying sweet smile plastered on her face. Natsume was furious. He was about to use force to make her release him but suddenly, the classroom door opened, revealing Mikan.
"Ohayou, Sakura-san." Some of the class greeted.
"Ohayou." Mikan replied sleepily.
Natsume watched her walk groggily to her seat beside the freaky Imai. Somehow seeing her made him forgot that a bitch was still clinging on him.
Luna noticed this and became angry. She looked at the girl where Natsume was staring.
'That girl looked familiar.' Then she remembered the incident at the restaurant where she met Natsume. She smiled evilly and let go of Natsume arms. She stood up and went to Mikan's seat.
"Hey aren't you the waitress in one of the restaurant in the mall? I can't believe someone like you can afford to study here." Luna stated arrogantly.
"Sorry, but I don't remember you." Mikan simply replied, not even looking at Luna. She was busy rummaging her bag, looking for something.
"Bitch! Look at me when I'm talking to you." Luna furiously said. The class gasped when Luna held Mikan's shoulder and forced her to look at her. Mikan struggled and removed Luna's hands off her shoulder and then directly looked at her.
The angry expression of Mikan suddenly changed to an amused one.
Mikan tried her best to contain her laughter.
"Why is there a clown here? It wasn't my birthday yet!" She blurted out and the laugh she was controlling finally burst out. The class laughed with her, totally eliminating the tension that was building up. Luna felt humiliated. She put her hands on her waist and gawked furiously at Mikan.
"Don't you know who I am?" Luna asked overconfidently.
"A clown sent here for someone's birthday?" Mikan replied, wiping the tears that formed in her eyes because of laughing.
"I'm Koizumi Luna, you bitch!" Luna exclaimed. Mikan stopped laughing as she heard her name.
"Oh," Mikan put a finger under her chin. "So you are related to the owner of Koizumi Enterprise. Seriously though, you look like a clown. Sorry." Mikan explained herself. Natsume watched Mikan with a very amused face.
Luna fumed in anger. "I'm the heir of the Koizumi Enterprise!" She stated proudly. "I'll make sure that you'll be kicked out at this academy! – " Mikan covered her ears, not wanting to hear anything for Luna anymore.
"Meh, you're not a clown, I don't care who you are right now." Mikan muttered sadly and went back to rummage her bag.
"YOU - !" Luna was about to slap Mikan. Hotaru prepared her baka-gun in case of danger. Natsume also stood up, he was about to grab Luna's hand, but a certain someone stopped her in time.
"Koizumi-san, please don't start a commotion here." Ruka, who had just arrived, interfered. Luna looked at the blond guy and then removed his hands off her.
"Oh, it's you Nogi-kun. You didn't forget me, huh?" Luna replied in recognition.
"I don't know what brought you here, but you can't just hurt someone." Ruka said in his gentle voice. But Luna didn't really mind him.
Luna snorted. "You're so kind, huh? So you're in this pathetic girl's side. Uhm, I know your father. My dad has a big share in your father's company." Luna threatened. Ruka knew this. He clenched his fist in anger, but remained compose.
"Stop it, will you?" Natsume intervened. He held Luna's left arm tightly like he wanted to tear it apart.
"Oh, my Natsume-kun. Will you protect me from this bitch?" Luna said trying to resist the pain she was feeling. She couldn't take it anymore and removed his grip on hers.
"Natsume, Ruka... Narumi-Sensei…" Koko mouthed to his two friends.
"Class, what's happening here?" Narumi-sensei who just arrived, asked in confusion. Luna glared at him.
"It's you again, gay sensei? Don't put your butt in here, do you really want to lose your job?" Luna threatened… again. Narumi sweatdropped.
"No. That's not it, Koizumi-san, it's already time to start the class."
"Fine, I'm not yet finished with you, pathetic bitch. Let's go Natsume-kun." Luna linked her arm again at Natsume.
Mikan watched them at the corner of her eye with pained expression. Natsume was not resisting anymore. Somehow, seeing him with another girl gave a heavy and painful feeling in her heart.
…
"I'm his fiancée!" It's already the end of class and Luna kept on saying those words. Mochu, Koko, Yuu and Ruka who were still in the classroom, felt really annoyed at her. She suddenly approached them and announced that she was their friends starting today. What a pathetic loser she was, they all thought. She wouldn't even let go of Natsume. Great thing, she didn't follow him to the restroom.
"Huh? Since when?" Mochu asked, trying to be nice.
"Starting today! I'll make sure that my dad will settle this with his family." She replied dreamingly.
"Oh, you're crazy." Koko mumbled. Ruka nodded while glaring secretly at Luna.
"You're saying something, Yome-kun?" Luna asked with a scary glare.
"Iie. Hehe. It's not my problem if you're deaf." Koko faked a laugh.
"I'm sure Natsume-kun will be mine forever. He will love me like how I love him!"
"Gross." Koko mumbled again. Yuu scratched the back of his head, - the voice of Luna, it was like a screeching tire, it was annoying him.
"But I don't think Natsume will approve that." Mochu said. Luna acted like she didn't hear anything.
…
Natsume came out of from a cubicle in the restroom. He was wiping his hands and arms with a handkerchief. He wanted to erase all the traces that Luna left in her arms. 'Gross' he thought. He looked at the mirror and continued wiping. But he saw this certain someone's reflection at the mirror, leaning against the wall smirking at him.
"Hey." That someone greeted.
"It's you again. Youichi-brat." Natsume said knowingly and rolled his eyes.
"So, you won't give up huh? You like my sister that much." Youichi stated. Natsume kept his cold stares at him.
"So?"
"Then what do you think my sister think of you?" That sentence registered clearly at Natsume's head. He also wanted to know but he couldn't ask her directly. Not yet. He still didn't have the courage.
"I don't know." He simply answered and faced the 13-year-old boy.
"What a lame answer. Why not use Luna to find it out? Just pretend that you were really her boyfriend." Youichi suggested, his jaded eyes twinkled with evilness, but Natsume missed that look.
"Tch. Why do you care?" Natsume asked suspiciously.
Youichi rolled his eyes. "Then you've got no way of knowing what my sister thinks about you. You better surrender."
Natsume was speechless for the moment. He gawked suspiciously at Youichi but the boy stayed calm and composed. The brat has a point, he didn't even know if Mikan likes him back.
"Tch." Natsume left, thinking deeply, leaving a smirking Youichi behind.
"Boooring. It's too easy." Youichi muttered and also left.
…
Somewhere at the academy…
"Woah, I miss this huh. I thought you'll never come with me again to this place, Mikan-chan." Tsubasa said cheerfully to the girl beside him.
"Fool. This is our special place. How could I refuse your invitation?" Mikan replied in her normal sweet voice.
Tsubasa scoffed. "Sweet. I felt chills on my bones." Tsubasa joked.
Mikan nudged him. "Tsubasa-senpai!"
He grinned. "Just kidding. So did you find someone more special than me?"
Silence. Mikan thought for a moment. Then she smiled. "You will always be my special someone!" She exclaimed.
Tsubasa's eyes widen in surprise. "Hey, hey."
She laughed merrily. "Kidding. I gotcha this time! Actually, I found someone better than you."
"Hmmm? Better than me?" Tsubasa faked a sad voice. Mikan rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, I don't know how it started but being with him feels so right." This time Mikan was serious. Her face was turning red again and her heart started to beat faster.
"That's great news! My precious kouhai is finally in-love. I can't believe it! I thought you were only mine!" Tsubasa said dramatically, which made Mikan laugh a little.
"Hey, why are you saying that right now? And I'm not in-love! I just like him."
"Joking. I'm happy for you!" Tsubasa suddenly hugged Mikan tightly. He didn't know why he did that, but it felt great.
"Oi! What's with you? You're hugging me so tight!" Mikan protested. Tsubasa finally let go of Mikan.
"I'm just happy! And this may be the last time I can hug you!" Tsubasa faked a sob.
Mikan looked at him with disgust, "What do you mean?"
"If that someone you like becomes your boyfriend, I can't hug you anymore, that's so depressing!" Tsubasa cried.
"You're overreacting, Tsubasa-senpai…"
Natsume had no plans on following Youichi's advice. Not until he saw it. That scene that filled his body with jealousy. He felt like his heart was tearing apart. Maybe that brat was right. She would never like him back.
But he was still hoping.
He saw Tsubasa bid goodbye to Mikan. He wanted to approach her. But someone approached her first.
"Hey pathetic poor waitress." It was Luna again. Mikan raised her head and shot Luna a look.
"You again?" Mikan asked in irritated voice.
"I said I'm not finish with you!" Luna exclaimed.
"And I said I don't care about you."
"You'll see the result of messing with me!"
"What is your problem, Koizumi?" Mikan asked in confusion.
"Go away from my Natsume!" Mikan eyes widen on what she said but immediately narrowed it.
She frowned. "Your Natsume?"
"You don't know? He's mine! I'm her fiancée." Luna said confidently. Mikan looked at her like she was a crazy girl.
"Oh? Really?" Mikan replied, her face full of disbelief.
"That's true." A familiar voice that came from nowhere echoed in their ears. Mikan saw him approaching Luna. Wrapping his arms on her waist. Mikan twitched, wide eyes, feeling something was slowly breaking inside her.
And then it shattered.
"Natsume-kun! You finally realize it!" Luna happily said and hugged Natsume. Mikan watched them. She couldn't move, it felt like she was glued on her location.
Natsume was staring coldly at Mikan. He didn't want her to see that he was lying. She examined her reaction. He saw her gritted her fist and closed her eyes. With a sigh, Mikan immediately stood up and walked away without saying a word. When Mikan was out of their sight, he immediately pushed Luna away and left her behind.
Luna laughed like a maniac and after a few seconds, left the place too.
…
Behind the bushes…
"What's with Natsume?" Ruka confusedly asked.
"He's acting weird." Yuu added.
"I almost vomited after he said that! Gross. I thought he always liked Sakura-san, what now?" Mochu commented, his face was still sour.
"Man, this is bad. From the expression of my cousin, I know she was hurt." Koko said. All of them look at him.
"Koko, could it be…?" Ruka asked. He really couldn't understand his best friend.
"I don't know. I'll just ask her." Koko replied and sighed deeply.
"Better. Luna is such a slut. I want to slit her throat to get rid of her bitchy voice." Yuu commented sternly. All of their eyes widen and jaw dropped.
"Yuu? Did you just hear what you've said?" Mochu asked, after recovering from the shock. Yuu looked at them, laughed nervously.
"Ooops. My bad. Luna's voice is annoying the hell out of me."
"Yuu, please put back your eyeglasses on." Ruka suggested and picked up the eyeglasses that Yuu unconsciously dropped.
