I'M ALIVE. Shocking I know but the annoying and tedious things known as school and life got in the way, then the lovely thing that we call writers block set in and decided to stay a while despite my protests. But here it is I hope it is worth the wait.

you went away

How dare you?

I miss you

They say I'll be OK

But I'm not going to ever get over you

Living alone here in this place

I think of you, and I'm not afraid

Your favorite records make me feel better

Cause you sing along

With every song

I know you didn't mean to give them to me

The ringing of the bullets still in my ears I walk to Angela's office "Angela can you please trace the call on my phone now."

"K, what's up?" She questions as she starts typing on the Angelatron I can tell from some past cases she is tracing it now

I give her a look but say "I think Brennan's killer just called and committed another murder."

"Why the hell would they do that?"

"To mess with us. All it really did was make me want to shoot them myself"

"Looks like it's coming from a baseball park near here." She says frowning "Why would they kill someone there?"

"Pull up a map of the surrounding area." We both scan it for anything remotely recognizable for them to reasonably send us there "Right there I point out a running path right next to the park."

"What?" She asks puzzled

"Brennan would run that path if she was at the Jeffersonian all night, when we had long or difficult cases, said it woke her up. It's like 7.89 miles or something like that she would run it in somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes, run home to change and be back within the hour."

"Why put it in the ballpark then?"

"He's playing with us. I'm gonna call Booth and, me and Hodgins will leave ASAP." I say already starting to leave the office

"Cam," she yells when I'm just out of the office I turn "be careful, come back safe."

"Do you ever expect any less?" I say with an assuring half smile

We get to the park in about 5 or so minutes and already the scene is secured because it was so close to the FBI building and they are questioning the early morning joggers and walkers

The crime scene it self was already a buzz with techs combing for evidence and already there are many spectators and a dozen or more reporters.

The body is eagle spread on it's stomach a cell phone dropped just out of it's reach still in the large pool of blood. There is a group of 7 shell casings and by the looks of it none of them missed their target with seven holes in our victim's back. He's wearing a old, ratty Northwestern sweatshirt, sweat pants and beat up tennis shoes all in all looking like he was taken while doing weekend errands or going for a run. I bend down and am quick to find his wallet I tell Hodgins " Looks like he's Casey Shepard."

"Look at this" he says handing me a note in an evidence bag

[demasiado tarde. ¿intentarlo de nuevo?]

"Too late. Try again?" I tell him looking over the note to give him a questioning look to which he just shrugs "They're defiantly playing a game with us." I say as he seems makes a connection

Hodgins' POV

"That's it!" I exclaim at Cam's statement

"What's it?" She says looking bewildered

"These notes the phone call, their /Playing/ with us, and, I think I know why!" I say sure for the first time in the past 48 hours I think it will be simpler then we made it out to be "We need to get back to the Jeffersonian immediately." I tell her slightly quieter

"Wanna tell me what you're thinking this has to do with?" She asks without really giving me a choice but to explain

"An old case we worked on before we started permanently working with Booth." She gives me a look of still being confused

When we finally get back to the lab I rush to Angela's office with Cam following closely "Can you pull up the case file 82753-03-Nel?" I ask quickly

"Yah" she says jumping up off her desk the "You really think it's them?" She asks slightly worried

"I don't know, that's what worries me."

"What are you guy's…" Cam starts before the case file's pulled up on the screen and I cut her off

"US Master Sergeant Sarah Nelson, killed in January of '03 found five and a half months later in Jefferson National Forest, face smashed in, no traces of DNA. So, the CID called us. Lead agent is now Lt. General Scott then he was Major Scott. The killer, Antonio Rodriguez, he liked to torture his victims before killing them. We got the bastard, not before he killed four more women and almost made Brennan number six."

"Ok, why do you think it's him?" Cam asks

"Because he almost certainly had help from a friend of his we didn't have enough evidence to convict and he left notes and called us to mess with us then as well. To top that off he always shot his victims as many times as he had previously killed Nelson had one, the next one had two etcetera. He got Brennan three times before Scott got there. The shot at her car three times today. And when he was being lead from the court room he threatened anyone involved with his case. Casey helped Brennan see it differently." I answer

Ring

Ring

Ring

Cam's phone goes off "It's Booth." She tells us before going to answer it

When she gets back to the room she tells us with a pale face "You guys maybe right, apparently, Lt. General Scott is missing."

Ok sorry about the wait but I hope it was worth it.

please review

Until next time
