Separation

Her name is Otachi. She is a kaiju, and was tricked by her own creators to go through the portal and destroy 'Earth'. She was never told about the dangers that lay there. She is knocked out by a mysterious, mechanical beast, and when she wakes up, she realizes her unborn baby has been taken from her. And she will find him. Dead or alive.

11. Demise

I looked down at Slattern. His intestines lay outside his body, decorating the ground. He was hyperventilating loudly.

'Slattern...?'

'I told you I was going to die in this journey. Please, leave me. More robots are coming, you need to get out of here!'

'No,' I said, shaking my head.

'You need to-'

'No.'

I didn't want to leave him. After all, he was the only kaiju apart from me who was still alive.

'Listen. I will still die, even if you stay. Dying alone may not be a pleasant thing, but the humans will send reinforcements. They will kill us both. You have to go.'

There was a silence between us for a few seconds.

'...Okay...'

As I left him to die, I turned my head, and spoke my last words to him.

'You will not be forgotten...'

I opened my wings, and flew off. I was so close to finding my baby. I could tell now that he is definitely alive, and I needed to find him soon.
