I have returned. In the other chapter I posted I mentioned things but now I never want to remember my past. Please treat this as if this is a first chapter. I love you all please enjoy. KAGOME TIME!
Kagome's POV
Munching happily on some chili cheese fries she had ordered at the forks diner, she was in pure bliss. About to impale another on her fork, Kagome stopped, she felt something, this she hadn't felt in a long time. A connection to someone or something; she had the overwhelming urge to cry, but not from her own sadness. She knew that if she felt this way, someone's emotions. then they must have been bonded, connected in a way ether familial, or mating wise.
Popping the last fry into her mouth, Kagome thought about who it could be, that was feeling such an intense emotion, specifically, remorse, anguish, grief, and heavy depression. She thought about her mom, but on her end she felt happy, comfortable, and relaxed; most likely asleep with her being all the way in Japan. The same for her little brother, Souta and her Grandfather. She left a $20 bill on the table and walked out to her car, she of course had ignored the attention she got from people, she wasn't arrogant or cocky preferring to stand in the background. But she knew her new taste in things would get her the exact opposite. She made her way to her car and sat in it. She had a strong feeling to go into the forest, she checked her watch, 3:05 she had ten minutes til Eric got out and she might have to speed, or just arrive fashionably late by five minutes.
"Pretty soon, I'll get to see uncle Daiki. It's been too long since I last saw him." Kagome murmured distractedly as she zoomed down the highway. "But when I get the chance I'm going to explore these unknown feelings. It seems familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it."
Nearing the school, she violently swerved to the right as another tremor of grief and anguish hit her. Righting the car, she pulled over and place a fist to her chest,, in near tears. She sniffled, and looked around, not understanding what was happening. To whom she was connected to that was this depressed. She would find out if it was the last thing she did. She pulled back on the highway and continued towards the school.
She saw a few cars pulling out of the exit of the school, it was 3:16, she didn't realize she had made it here so quickly she was so distracted, thanking the Kami repeatedly for her heightened senses. She saw Eric and his friends, and slowly pulled in front of them. They were dumbstruck, eyes wide, and mouths slightly agape. She chuckled as she rolled down the window.
"So little cousin, you wanna walk or ride in my hooptie (Spelled it wrong last time I believe) you could always carpool with your friends." Giving him a sugary sweet smile, she knew he wouldn't pass up the offer, even though her car was pink it still had black on it.
"Kagome...this is not a hooptie. I thought you'd be riding in a jeep or a little two seater. Not a fucking LAMBORGHINI! Someone hold me I...I think I'm going to pass out" He murmured as he leaned on Tyler. What he was staring at was his dream car, even though it was pink, though it did hold black coloration on it to, he wanted in and he wanted in now.
He, looked at Kagome about to say something, when he stopped she seemed off. Even though she was a master at feigning happiness when something was wrong, he could always tell . She was worried, with underlying sadness, it was the way that her chin jutted slightly, and how she bit at her lip. He wouldn't say anything yet, rather let her tell him on her own time. Without a doubt he knew she could take care of herself, she always stuck up for herself and for others without fail. Countless times she had stood up for him. So instead he said goodbye to his friends, and hopped in.
Kagome smiled at them and waved goodbye as she rolled the passenger window back up, she got into the short line of cars waiting to get out, while sitting there she saw the burly teen who had sheilded her from the horde of fanboys, Emmett, leaning against a Volvo along with his siblings all whom were staring at her. Kagome just gave them a grim. The line had finally moved and as Kagome began to speed away with her silent passenger she made eye contact with him, before he was blocked by the tress. Kagome looked over at Eric, wondering about his silence, it was unlike him but she saw the worry in his eyes as he stared at her.
"What is it?" Eric murmured his brown orbs shimmering in worry "You only bite your lip when something is near serious. What happened?"
"Nothing, maybe just home sickness you know? I think I just need to call mom and see how they all are." Kagome stared at him. She knew that eye contact would help make a person believe in someone better, unless they were an open book as she used to be.
"I...Dad said you haven't been back to Japan in about a two years. How are you making it?" Eric was curious, he was easily convinced that was what was wrong.
"Yeah maybe I should give them a call when I get home. Schedule, a visit you know? How I'm making it? Good but not good. I miss them and our family time. Okaa-san's meals, Souta's games, and Jii-chan's silly antics with his sutras." Kagome smiled wistfully. It was partially the truth. She inwardly did a happy dance inside her head, she didn't have to worry about Eric prying even though she knew he loved her as two close siblings would.
Eric smiled. He loved when she talked about their mutual family. He turned to look through the window and saw, familiar house knowing they would soon reach his own. Pulling in the driveway to the brownstone he and his father shared, he looked toward Kagome with one of his brightest grins.
"Ready to see dad?" He said as he squirmed in his seat, knowing his dad would probably fall over in surprise and happiness at seeing his niece. They exited the car and began to walk on the stoned pathway to the porch.
"Let's give him the surprise of his life" Kagome muttered with a smirk as she took hold of her parosal and opened it, angling it to cover her head and give few of only her shoulder and the rest of her body. The last time she had talked to her uncle, Daiki, he had asked her when she was coming for a visit she herself at the time didn't know. Eric opened the door and pulled her through.
"DAD YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE IT" Eric shouted as thuds of feet were heard coming down the stairs.
"What? What's going on? Who's that? Did you finally get a girlfriend?" Daiki rambled off but finished off with a smirk.
"Way to give me a warm welcome, Uncle" Kagome let down her parasol and gave her uncle her breath taking smile.
