Timberkit felt like she was being crushed, something bigger than she could see was lying on top of her. The most weight upon her back, where something couldn't stop turning.

Then she felt something brush her back, and she was free of this weight. Then what may be the tongue of her mother rasped over her head. She squeaked, and something glittered in front of her. As she thought there for a moment, she began to feel something. It made her insides all warm, and something flickered in front of her. as she focused harder, soon she saw a tan pelt infront of her. as she gazed up, a she-cat was facing towards something.

"Here you go Elkdash, take these, and don't just hide them. These are for your own good." A familiar voice spoke.

"Thank you Featherrock, I hope none of my kits have caught It." the she-cat praised the other cat.

A light gray-silver tabby she-cat with white paws approached looking over Timberkit, and behind her, with frosty blue eyes. "You never know, I think I'd better-," she cut off as she locked eyes with Timberkit, "She's opened her eyes." she purred sweetly.

Timberkit looked about herself, seeing that she had paws like the she-cats. She raised herself up onto them, turning back to the she-cats who were starting to show signs of something. And then something flooded her as she continued to look at them. She tilted her head to one side, confused of what was happening.

"I'd still better look over them real quickly." The light gray-silver tabby she-cat spoke. Approaching her and beginning to test her for some reason.

Now Timberkit began to slowly understand, Elkdash was her mother. And Featherrock was constantly visiting so this should not be surprising.

There were a couple of squeaks from behind her, as she turned to see two other kits struggling their eyes open. One was a reddish brown tabby tom, the other was a light gray tabby she-cat. As they managed to bring themselves to peace, the tom and she-cat ended up with green eyes.

But when Featherrock gazed down into her eyes, and turned her head. "How… strange, your eyes are unique to say the least." She meowed.

Timberkit tipped her head, and opened her mouth to say something. But she couldn't even speak, and instead Elkdash asked it. "What do you mean?"

Featherrock turned to her. "She has… eyes shaped strangely, like the moon." She answered.

Elkdash got up, and looked into them. "Yes, very unique."

Timberkit wrapped her tail around her paws. And smelled a strange smell from over where Featherrock's smell always comes from. as she turned to face it, a tall silvery gray tom with a lighter underbelly appeared, Amber eyes gazing down on Timberkit. "I see they are awake." He purred, amber eyes were soft with an emotion, as he leaned down his head to look her right in the eye. As if scanning for something.

Timberkit raised a paw, and set it down on his muzzle, and he purred softly. she turned her head to analyze him herself. His amber eyes were not strangely shaped. As the other cats around her, their eyes were like as well. She couldn't believe she might be different. But something stopped her from speaking at first.
