Chapter 11 – The Curious Fox
Sai drowsily opened his eyes, his internal alarm kicking in. It was still an hour before sunrise but it was the usual time that he wakes up. He looked in his side, admiring the serene sight of Yukie sleeping. He stroked the sleeping boy's hair a bit before getting out of bed. He put on some casual clothes and headed out of his room. For a second, he thought he heard some footsteps around somewhere in the hall.
"What was that?" wondered Sai as he went to investigate the source of the sound. He checked the length of the hall but found no one. "Must be my imagination…" shrugged Sai.
He went on with his morning exercise, starting with some push-ups and then several cycles around the root ANBU base.
Meanwhile, Yukie had just awoken from his slumber. His head felt heavy and his bottom stung a bit.
"Unh… What a night…" groaned Yukie. He did a little stretching before getting out of bed. He dressed in his usual clothes and tried to look for Sai through the window. He spotted him jogging around in the courtyard. "Always the workaholic…" giggled Yukie.
He wanted to take a stroll outside but when he checked the wall clock, it was still a few minutes before four.
"There's still a curfew at the moment. I guess I'll do something else…" frowned Yukie.
Yukie went out of the room and into the bath hall. He had decided to wash his face first. He approached one of the mirrored sinks and switched on the water. He started splashing the cold water into his face, washing away the sediments in his eyes.
"Yukie-kun? Are you here?" called Sai as he peeked inside the bath house. He was overjoyed when he saw Yukie on the sink. "Ah, here you are!"
"Sai? What is it?" asked Yukie.
"I just finished my morning exercise and was about to wake you up." explained Sai.
"That's very kind of you…" thanked Yukie.
"Well since you're already awake, how about we take a bath together?" smirked Sai.
"Eh? Well… I guess its okay." replied Yukie.
"Great!" smiled Sai. "Let's go into the bath tub this time…" pointed Sai to the circular indentation on the wooden floor. He turned on the faucet inside the tub and hot water started to fill it.
"I've never seen such a fancy tub before…" blinked Yukie.
"Lord Danzo never takes the comfort of his units for granted. The more that they are comfortable, the more they'll want to stay." explained Sai as he finished filling the tub. "Well then, shall we get in?" asked Sai.
Sai went into one of the changing stalls and came out with a bath cloth around his waist. He slowly immersed himself into the warm water.
"Get in Yukie! The water's great!" invited Sai.
Yukie changed into a bath cloth as well and entered the bath tub. The water felt great in his body and he couldn't help giving out a sigh of relief.
"It's great huh?" asked Sai.
Yukie nodded in response. He picked up one of the wooden pails that lay around the tub and grabbed the scrubbing towel inside. He started washing himself with it.
"Hey Yukie, did you see anyone else last night?" asked Sai.
"You mean other than that pervert of a sensei? No one else…" replied Yukie, his face turning sour at the memory of Kakashi's intrusion last night.
"I thought I saw another guy peeking on the window after Kakashi-sensei left." told Sai.
"Really? I didn't see anyone else…" responded Yukie.
"No matter. Maybe I'm just imagining a lot." dismissed Sai. He went closer to Yukie and started pinching his left cheek. "You're so cute Yukie-kun…" giggled Sai.
"Cu-Cut it out Sai! That hurts!" cried Yukie as he tried to shake off Sai.
(Meanwhile)
Naruto curled tightly in his bed, trying to recuperate what he had witnessed last night.
"I knew it! I knew that something was going on with those two!" thought Naruto. He tried to recollect what had happened last night to make sure that his conclusion was true.
I was heading to Fujimura's Store last night because I had run out of instant ramen. Naturally, I took the shortcut near where Sai lived, just as usual. Then all of a sudden, I saw sir Kakashi jumping out of one of the windows in Sai's house.
I felt curious at what he was doing there. I completely abandoned my plans of buying ramen and decided to see what was behind that window. I quietly crept to the tree overlooking the window and peeked inside.
What I saw blew my mind off. It was Sai and Yukie, completely naked and touching each other!!
I saw so shocked that I lost my footing on the tree and fell on the ground. Panic immediately kicked in as I ran the hell out of there and back to my house. I had only hoped that no one saw me.
"Right, I didn't just imagine that! It was real! Everything about it was real!" concluded Naruto. A smirk crept in his face as he proudly stood up and left his quarters.
(At Ichiraku Ramen)
"I wonder where Naruto-kun is. He's usually the first person to come here." wondered Sai.
"Maybe he woke up late. I didn't really take him for the industrious type…" told Yukie.
A familiar figure lifted the blue curtain in front of the ramen store and took a seat.
"Good morning Naruto-kun! I thought you skipped breakfast this morning!" greeted Sai.
"Nope, wouldn't miss it for the world." replied Naruto. "The usual please!" ordered Naruto.
"Did Yamato-sensei announce any training sessions today?" asked Yukie.
"Don't think so. I guess we're free today." replied Sai.
Naruto couldn't stop himself from giggling at the sight of the two. A few snickers slipped from him which aroused suspicion from Sai and Yukie.
"Something wrong Naruto?" asked Yukie.
"giggle Nothing. It's giggle nothing…" replied Naruto.
"You sure? Maybe something had crawled in your jacket…" suggested Yukie.
"It's nothing really. I just feel really happy today…" chuckled Naruto.
"You sure are merry today Naruto. Did Sakura finally agree on a date with you?" teased Sai.
"No, no… It's better than that!" replied Naruto.
"She agreed to sleep with you?!" asked Sai.
"WHAT! NO!" replied Naruto angrily.
"Well what's making you laugh then?" asked Sai.
"I know someone's dirty little secret!" cackled Naruto.
"Oh? I expected better from you Naruto. You shouldn't sneak around poking on other people's business…" lectured Sai.
"Uh Hello?! Ninja here! That's what we do!" replied Naruto.
"Sai's right Naruto. You shouldn't do that unless you want the same done to you…" answered Yukie.
"Yeah yeah whatever. Anyways aren't you two curious of who's secret it is?" asked Naruto.
"Not really." answered Sai wryly.
"I guess I'd like to know…" smiled Yukie.
"Hehehe… Okay then Yukie. Come closer and I'll whisper it to your ear…" invited Naruto.
Yukie stood up from his seat and approached Naruto. He put his ear close to Naruto's lips and the latter enclosed it in his palms.
"I saw you two last night…" whispered Naruto.
Yukie gasped in surprise at what Naruto said, his eyes wide in shock.
"I told you it was a great secret." grinned Naruto.
"What is it Yukie?" asked Sai curiously.
"Remember what you said about seeing another guys last night?" reminded Yukie.
"Yeah?" replied Sai.
Yukie motioned his head to Naruto. Sai's bright face turned grim at the revelation.
"That's right! I saw everything last night! I wonder what everyone would think if they found out…" hummed Naruto whimsically.
"You wouldn't dare…" muttered Sai, vile and venom hinting in his voice.
"Oh I would dare! But still, I won't get anything if I did…" smiled Naruto in a sinister fashion.
"Guess there's more than one pervert in this village…" hissed Yukie. He stood up and stormed off the ramen shop.
Sai followed suit, leaving a deadly glare at Naruto. He tried to catch up with Yukie who was walking in an enraged manner.
"Yukie-kun, wait up!" yelled Sai. He ran beside his partner and looked him in the face. "Where are you going?!" asked Sai.
"If that's how Naruto wants to play, I'll give him a taste of his own medicine…" replied Yukie angrily.
"But we don't know if he has a deep dark secret like ours…" said Sai.
"Only one way to find out!" replied Yukie.
"ERO SENNIN! YOU'RE BACK!!" yelled Naruto from the distance as he ran towards a white haired man who was standing outside Ichiraku Ramen. Naruto looked more than thrilled to see him.
"And I know just where to start…" smirked Yukie.
Another lemon is coming up on the next chapter. I'll be focusing on random drabbles in the next 5 chapters or so before going into another story arc. Don't forget to R and R.
