Thanks for the reviews and favourites, I really appreciate it and I know I've been really shitty with the updates since I've been back but I promise it's not on purpose…things have just happened and I'm doing my best to get the updates out to you all, so thanks for being patient.
VPOV:
I close my eyes and take a deep breath as I make my way over to Tanya and my family. I let down the wall keeping them all there and I instantly feel Tanya's sobbing body slam into me and everyone else surrounding me. I wrap my arms around her as she buries her head into my neck and holds on for dear life.
I'm bombarded my questions by everyone else but my only focus is on Tanya.
"Please don't do this baby, please." She sobs while holding onto me for dear life.
"Shhhh it's okay. It's all going to be okay." I whisper into her hair, breathing in her heavenly scent.
"No it's not." She pulls away from me and I instantly want her back in my arms but I don't want to push my luck after what's just happened.
"Why are you doing this Violet?" I hear Rose say from behind me, she was also wearing a heart breaking facial expression.
"There isn't any other way. I just need you all to trust me on this." I explain.
I flick my eyes over to where the Volturi are stood and I see a good amount of their witnesses have left, only the guard still there. I also see Aro isn't paying any attention to me, instead he seems to be bickering with Caius...time to strike.
"No...you're not doing this, I'm not losing you for 500 years." Tan sobs.
I take her into my arms again to give my mate some comfort.
"I'm not going anywhere...just bear with me." I whisper very quickly quietly I her ear that even people standing next to us would struggle to hear.
She pulls back and stares at me in confusion. I give her a wink and a small grin, she goes to ask me a question but I silence her by crashing my lips against hers. I hold her close and pour everything I feel for her into the kiss…that is until Aro interrupts.
"Okay love birds let break it up...we've got to get a move on Violet there's lots to do and you'll be surprised how fast 500 years really go by." He says with and evil smirk digging the knife in more and it works because I feel Tan flinch from next to me.
I hold up one finger and move to hug Rosalie to buy myself some more time. I pull her into my arms and have a check behind the walls I put around the clearing, I see everyone is in position so I break the hug with Rosalie and turn back towards Aro.
"Be ready Edward." I tell him through my mind. His head snaps towards me and he asks what about.
"Just be ready."
"That's not going to happen Aro." I tell him and I see the shock appear on his face.
"I'm sorry? I was under the impression we made a deal."
"Yeah that was kind of the point." I smirk.
"I had to do something to make you think you'd won so that I could get some of your minions away." I say and I see some anger soon appear on his face.
"What are you talking about Violet?" He says through gritted teeth.
"I've been doing my research Aro and I found out this isn't the first time you've done this to a coven...as soon they get to big or powerful you find something wrong and…end them. Don't you Aro."
I quirk my eyebrow and his eyes darken. I look towards Caius and see his face full of rage, he's always been the hot headed one, never liking anyone standing up to the almighty Volturi. I also see Jane and Alec wearing a similar expression to him.
"I don't know what you mean." He tries to put a calm look back on his face but it's too late, his mask has already slipped.
"Oh I think you do. You hate the idea of anyone being better than you so you send warnings to lower their coven or try and get some to join and when they refuse, you destroy them, isn't that right Aro."
"You are mistaken little one. Everything I've done has only ever been to protect our species." He tells me with a patronizing smile.
"We both know that's not true. Was it for the greater good when you killed your sister." I say and gasps erupt around me.
Aro's eyes go wide and soon an angry look appears on his face. I look to Marcus and his conflicted eyes are on Aro.
"Your poisonous lies won't get you anywhere child." He sneers at me.
"You and I both know I'm not lying Aro...and by the look on Caius' face, so does he." As I say that his head snaps to Caius and sees the frozen shock look on his face.
"You alright brother?" Aro says through clenched teeth.
That seems to snap him out of it because soon the dark look is back on his face and he's nodding like a good puppy but I can still see the fear in his eyes and his mind is going crazy with questions about how I know.
"What is she talking about Aro?" Carlisle pipes up from behind me.
"I have no idea old friend." He says innocently to Carlisle before turning to Rose.
"I knew it." Marcus whispers.
"I always knew. You just numbed it." Marcus says looking down defeated and it seems to angers Aro that the truth he's so hard to kept hidden all these years is now out in the open.
"You should keep that brat of yours in order Rosalie...or I will." He hisses with his voice getting low at the end.
Growls erupt from all around me as he says that, even the wolves get involved. Rose soon steps forward with Bella flanking her.
"Watch what you say about my daughter Aro. Threaten her again and I won't hesitate to rip your tongue out." She growls moving forward but I rest my hand on her shoulder stopping her going anywhere near him.
"Leave it Rose." I tell her and she steps back next to me.
"You can't keep up the charade any longer Aro...you're a fraud that uses people for his own power hungry agenda...and people deserve a better leader." I tell him.
A manic laugh erupts from Aro and he claps quickly.
"Oh...and this will be you, will it? A sad little girl with mummy issues, who pokes her nose where it doesn't belong." He sneers.
Rose goes to step forward again but I put my arm out blocking her and shake my head at her.
"No Aro I don't plan on taking over. I'm well aware I'm not capable of leading the vampire world nor am I even old enough, I'm just a kid in Vampire years…but there are two people who can...who've been there since the beginning and know first-hand what kind of monster you truly are." I state firmly and a dark look comes over his face.
"Oh and who are these two almighty men that will overthrow me." He sneers with a slight laugh as if he can't believe anyone would ever stand up to him.
"No...not men Aro." I snicker slightly.
A confused look comes over his face as I say those words and I soon hear surprised murmurs as the two people I was speaking about step forward out of Aro's now smaller crowd.
"That would be us Aro."
He whips around so fast that I'm surprised he is still standing…even with his vampire grace. He's also wearing an extremely shocked look on his face and his mouth is hanging open.
"Careful Aro, you'll catch flies." She smirks.
"Sulpicia...you're who she was talking about?" Aro says before bursting into laughter.
I look towards Caius and see he has a face full of anger and is staring daggers at Athenodora. I also feel Tanya gripping my hand in surprise and everyone's eyes on me wondering what the hell is going on.
"And I guess Athenodora is the other." He says through mad laughter before turning his body partly towards me.
"This was your big plan then Violet...for mine and my brother's wives to take over the Volturi...that's funny." He laughs.
"It's no joke Aro. A change is needed, you're not fit to be the leaders any more...you never were." Athenodora says.
"Shut your mouth." Aro snarls at her.
"Don't you dare speak to her that way you evil little cretin." Sulpicia growls moving in front of Ath.
Aro's eyes widen in shock and I guess the ball has finally dropped.
"Y...you two?" He whispers.
"WHAT?!" Caius shouts.
"YOU ARE MY WIFE. YOU BELONG TO ME." Aro roars moving towards them both but I step forward and use my powers to keep him still. He looks towards me with eyes black and full of rage.
"Let me go." He whispers darkly.
"I won't let you hurt them Aro. You may have used them and manipulated their emotions to keep loyal to the Volturi but you did nothing in stopping their feeling for each other and locking them away together for all these years hasn't helped." I say snickering at the end and it seems to anger him even more.
"That can't be possible...they're our wives for goodness sake." Caius hisses in anger.
"Oh please Caius, I haven't been your wife in a long time and don't think I don't know about all those women you've been screwing." Athenodora tells him.
"I'm free to do what I please woman." He growls.
"So am I...and trust me I've enjoyed it." She smirks rubbing Sulpicia's hip with the hand she has wrapped around his waist.
"You little whore." Caius tries to move towards them but I keep him still the same as Aro.
"It's okay brother, we'll soon fix them when we return home." Aro tells him. "Even if we need to beat it out of them." He says turning back to them both.
Growls erupt from around the clearing but hold my hand up to keep them quiet.
"You won't be returning home Aro. You're times up." When those words leave my mouth his manic laughter erupts again.
"You think you and your little family can stop me and my guard, even with my witnesses' gone you're no match for us." He says darkly.
"Oh I'm aware of that, but as you know myself and my mother didn't have the best start so I left and went traveling...and on my travels I made some friends." I tell him.
I whistle a small tune and let down the barriers I had around the clearing.
Soon you can hear the footsteps of multiple people heading towards the clearing. Aro's eyes go wide and people from both side let out gasps as all my guests arrive at the clearing.
"There's so many." I hear Tan whisper from her spot next to me. I turn to her and give her a smile, letting her know it's all going to be okay.
"As you can see Aro I made a lot of friends and isn't it funny that we all have the same hate for you and your minions."
A dark look appears over Aro's face and I see his minions fidgeting on the spot…I guess they realized they're not the most powerful in this situation anymore.
"So what you're just going to keeps us under you control and rip out heads of one by one?" He sneers. "Because if not...we're not going down without a fight."
"GOOD. THAT'S WHAT WE'RE HOPING FOR." A friend of mine from England calls out and the others cheer in agreement. Especially from the Romanian coven I met on my travels...for obvious reasons.
"You and your guard have been fucking people over for years. This has been coming to you for a long time." Another shouts.
I release Aro and the rest of the guard from the hold I have over them and nod towards Sulpicia and Athenodora.
"Marcus we know that you've been wronged just as much as us. Aro and Caius kept you under their spell also. We don't want to harm you so you may leave if you want to or join us." Sulp says to Marcus who has been stood there looking so lost.
"Thank you for the offer my dear but now I'll be free of my brothers hold there is nothing stopping the pain from losing my love. I think it's time for me to be with her now." He says with a genuine smile appearing on his face and I'm pretty sure it's the first I've ever seen.
"Well now all the pleasantries are over how about we get this over with, I'm rather looking forward to ripping that head from you neck for stealing what belongs to me." Caius sneers to Sulpicia.
I turn to my family while they bicker back and forth and see they still have confused and stunned looks on their faces. I also see that the wolves are still stood there, I guess they really want to kill some vampire's today.
"I know I've got a lot of explain to do but now's not the time." I say
"You all ready? We will most likely be fine but anything could happen." I whisper.
"We've got you're back V." Bree says.
"Good. Get your girl out of here Meg, it's going to get ugly and she doesn't need to see this." I tell her.
"You go to Edward just in case." Carlisle says.
Edward nods in agreement and picks up Ness and sprints out the clearing with Megan in tow.
"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!" Athenodora growls at Caius as he tries to get his hands on Sulps neck.
"Here we go." I run towards them and everyone else seems to get the same idea.
Everything went crazy the wolves went sprinting next to us barking and growling aggressively and snapped their jaws at anything in a black cloak. Aro and Caius lunge for their ex-wives but Zafrina and Senna jump in front of them and kick them both back. I notice Alice and Jasper fighting Felix and Jane, I know Bella's got her shield on people so I don't worry... I know they can handle themselves.
Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie and Vic are tag teaming Chelsea and Corin. Finally those bitches are getting what's coming to them after ruining so many lives.
I hear a twig snap behind me, I spin around and catch a hand coming straight towards my face, it's a woman in a cloak that I don't recognize but I don't think to log about it as I grip her neck and push it backwards, I feel her rock hard spine start to crack. She tries to claw at my face and gets a few scratches but Rosalie soon appears and rips the bitches head off her shoulders.
"Thanks."
"Don't mention it." She says with a smile.
I look towards where Aro and Caius are. Sulp and Ath are just sparing with them and blocking their moves...toying with them. They're both to ignorant to see they can't beat Ath and Sulp.
My head whips to the side as I hear a scream. I see Tan with her arms wrapped around Jane's neck. Jane seems to be putting up a good fight so I go over to help my love. I grab one of Jane's arms that is clawing at Tan's body, ripping her clothes and I tear her arm completely off her body and Tanya soon gets a good enough grip to rip the little blonde bitches head off, now she can join her brother in hell.
"You okay gorgeous?" I ask going to take her hand but she moves it away before I can.
"I'm fine." She snaps and walks away.
"Hey." I run towards her and grab her shoulder but she shrugs me off. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Let's just finish this." She says and runs off.
I look around and see that all of the guard have pretty much been taken care of. I see Bree and Kate now fighting one of the guard's best fighters Demetri. Bree seems to be easily dodging his attacks which seem to make him extremely angry and Kate extremely giddy. Every time Bree pushes him away Kate goes up behind him and gives him an electric shock making him squeal. They soon put an end to their game by tag teaming him and ripping him apart limb from limb and then finally taking his head off. They finish off with a high five, giggle and a kiss.
I see at the end of the clearing the wolves finishing off the last of Aro's guard and everyone else ripping the dead apart and starting fires. I see that there are two left, the ones who started this whole thing. Aro and Caius.
I head towards them and see the Cullen's surrounding them with a few of my guests glaring at them.
"Well done young Violet you won. We're the baddies and now everyone knows it." Aro claps with Caius behind him glaring.
"But how about you let us go hmm? It's not like we can do anything, we have no one now." He pleads with a face full of fake sadness.
"Maybe we can..."
"No Carlisle." I cut him off before he feels sorry for Aro and gets him out of this.
"They've hurt too many people and there's no way we can trust them both. If you don't like it you can leave." I tell him firmly. He nods at me with a sad look and walks away.
"I'm going to go see Edward." Carlisle says leaving the clearing with the wolves not too far behind, I guess they know their work here is done.
I watch as Sulpicia and Athenodora approach Caius and grab him, he starts struggling in their arms. I hold Aro under my power to make sure he doesn't try anything.
"Release me you filthy whores." He growls so Sulp pushes him down by his shoulders and Ath kicks his knees making him knell down on the ground. The same position he and Aro would put people in to execute them.
"Any last words sweetheart?" Athenodora asks with an evil smirk.
"I'll see you in hell." He lowly growls.
She smirks and rips his head apart by holding the top and bottom of his mouth and slowly ripping while Sulp holds him still. I can feel Aro trying to fight against my hold and the anger is just rolling off him in waves, his closest thing to family and best ally is being killed right in front of him, got to hurt.
"You won't get away with this." Aro growls as I release him from my hold. "I am Aro, master of the Volturi, people will hear about what you've done."
"No one cares Aro. People don't care for you Aro, they fear you, but now there's nothing to fear." I tell him and he sends me a deathly glare.
"So will it be you then young Violet. Will you be the one to put an end to my oh so evil life." He coos.
"No. There's someone who deserves to have that honor more than me Aro."
A friend of mine Nicole that I met on my travels in France in the 80's appears from the crowd and stops in front of Aro. She stares at him with pure hate and he just stares back as if she's something on the bottom of his shoe.
"And who might you be?" He sneers.
"You don't remember me Aro? You killed my parents."
"I've killed a lot of people who have done wrong dear, what makes yours so special." Aro mocks.
"THEY DID NO WRONG YOU SCUM." She roars.
"You murdered them because they wouldn't join your precious guard. My father could control time and my mother could teleport and of course you wanted them but they just wanted to live their lives in peace, but you can't stand someone not obeying to your every request." I see some realization appear on Aro's face as she speaks.
"So you killed them. Just butchered them and made me watch so I'd know what happened when you disobey the almighty Volturi." Aro just looks back at her with a blank face.
"Are you finally finished with your sob story?" He asks and an angry look appears on Nic's face.
She rests her hands by her side and soon flames cover them.
"Did you ever wonder where Violet got her Pyrokinesis from?" She says darkly and I see everyone take a few steps back from the flames and the look on her face.
She grabs Aro by the wrists and the flames gradually move up Aro's arms. I can see Jasper wincing, I guess he can feel the pain Aro is going through like me but I know how to dull it so I send out some relief to Jasper. Even with the amount of pain Aro is in he's not making a sound, I guess his ego won't let him.
"You feel this pain Aro. This is just like what you told that little bitch Jane to put my parents through, all because they didn't listen to you. You made me listen to their screams of pain while you tortured them for hours before finally ripping them to shreds." She hisses and moves to flames closer to his neck.
I can see Aro trying to speak but he only lets out a pitiful choking sound, the pain is to sever.
"So I'm going to enjoy this." She keeps a grip of his wrists and kicks him straight in the stomach, ripping his arms from his body and then delivering a roundhouse kick to his head, completely ripping it from his head.
Aro's body lays lifeless on the ground buried under Nicole's intense flames. I rest a comforting hand on her shoulder, I know she's been waiting for this day for a very, very long time.
"You okay?" I ask her gently.
"It's over?" She whispers looking at me with tears in her eyes.
"Yeah it's over." I pull her into my arms and give her comfort she needs right now. "You're okay now." I whisper into her ear.
"Thanks V, for everything." She says moving out of my arms.
"No problem, you know you're always welcome here…always."
"I know Vi, you a good friend." She says with a pat on the shoulder and a genuine smile.
"Look why don't you go see your girl, we can take care of all this." She says motioning to the scattered bodies of the guard. "Most of us are heading to Italy anyway…give the new guard a go, but we'll talk soon."
"Yeah we will talk soon. I miss you Nic." I bring her into one more hug.
"Miss you too." She gives me one more squeeze and turns back to Aro and Caius kicking their bodies close together.
I turn around and see the Cullen's, Denali's and the families that came to help us have moved to the far end of the clearing. I move towards them but a hand reaches out and grabs me before I can. I turn and see Sulpicia and Athenodora stood there holding hands. They're finally free and together now.
"We just wanted to thank you before we leave. It's a long way home and we want to go and get a start on things as soon as possible." Ath says.
"You don't need to thank me. It was a long time coming."
"Well anyway, we appreciate the help. Are you sure you won't come with us?"
"Thanks but no thanks, I've got a lot of explaining to do here." I tell them point over my shoulder with my thumb.
"I guess we'll let you get to it then. Thank you again."
Like I said it's no problem, but what about him?" I say pointing at Marcus who is stood looking like a lost puppy.
"We're going to take him back to Italy and then it's up to him, but I guess we all know what will happen." Sulpicia says sadly.
I give both of them a smile, turn and head back towards my family. They're all speaking in a very quiet whisper and it stops as soon as I arrive next to them. I walk between them and stop in front of an upset looking Tanya.
"I can ex..."
SLAP
My head whips to the side as Tanya cuts off what I'm saying with a hard slap to the face. She stares at me with a heartbroken expression and just turns and runs into the forest. I go to move after her but Kate stops me.
"Give her some space." She tells me firmly and heads after her.
I look at the rest of my family and see the all have similar expressions to Tanya.
"Great." I sigh.

"VIOLET."
"Violet will you just stop and talk to us." Rosalie calls out as I run through the forest.
"No. I need to find Tanya and explain to her." I say not slowing down in the slightest. She's the one I need to see, I can't lose her over this.
I come to a skidding stop in front of the Cullen mansion and listen out for Tanya, I locate her and Kate in the room me and her have been sharing. I head up to the room and the quiet chatter stops just like at the clearing.
"Tanya. Can I come in?" I say through the door.
The door swings open and Kate is stood there with a deep scowl.
"I'll keep everyone away while you talk." She says and walks past me and out of the house.
I step into the room and close the door behind me.
"Tan..."
"How could you hurt me like that?" She says cutting me off. "You just stood there and let my heart break into a million pieces."
"I'm so sorry Tan." I move towards her and sit next to her on our bed.
"I'm so, so sorry that I hurt you, but you need to understand that I couldn't tell you the truth if the plan was to work."
"What you couldn't trust me." She says angrily getting up from the bed.
"It's not like that." I say raising my voice and she looks at me for answers.
So I take a deep breath and continue with my explanation.
"I know I can trust you but I couldn't risk Aro finding out. If you knew then Edward could have read your mind and then he would have known and we both know that boy can't keep his mouth shut, not to mention that Aro could have read his mind and found out the whole thing." I rant.
She looks at me with some new understanding but I can still see the hurt in her beautiful eyes.
"We could have figured out a way. Anything for me not to have felt like that." She whispers.
I move towards her and wrap my arms around her waist and I feel all the worry leave my body when she wraps her arms around my neck and bury's her face into my shoulder.
"I'm so sorry baby. I just couldn't risk him finding out and you getting hurt, I'd never forgive myself." I whisper into her golden locks.
"I was so scared I'd lost you." She says into my collar bone, giving it a gentle kiss.
"I'll never leave you I promise. You're stuck with me forever." As I say she laughs a little and its music to my ears.
She pulls back after a few minutes of us just standing in the middle of the room holding each other.
"As much as I'd love to stay in this room holding you, there are a lot of other people you owe an explanation to." She says brushing hair out of my face.
"But I don't wanna." I whine with a pout trying to get her back into my arms.
"Well that's too bad. They were worried to Violet, especially Rose, you need to speak to them." Tanya tells me with a firm voice and I know there is now way I'm getting out of this one.
It would seem I'm already under the thumb.
"Let's get this over with then." I take Tanya's hand and we head downstairs.

"So let me get this straight. You met Sulpicia and Athenodora 20 years go in Italy when Aro summoned you to try and convince you to join the guard. They told you about everything Aro did and them being mates. Then you all cooked up this plot to pretend to let Aro take you for 500 years so that you could all take out Aro, Caius and the guard so that they could take over." Carlisle says.
"Not to mention all the vampy friends she has all over the world that helped." Emmett adds with a bright smile.
"Yeah pretty much." I say from my spot in-between Tan and Rose.
"A friend of mine had a vision years ago that everything with Megan and Edward would happen, so we all decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to put the plan in motion so everyone would finally be free and at peace." I explain.
"I'm just sorry that I worried and hurt you all in the process." I say looking at Rose and grabbing her hand.
"I'm sorry." I tell her looking into her eyes. Rose gives me a smile in return but I can see by the look on her face it will take her some time to get over what happened.
"Well at least we're all safe now and no more secrets." Esme says looking me directly in the eye but I can see a playful smile appearing on her face.
"Promise." I cross my heart and lean back pulling Tanya into my arms.
"I'm where I belong now." I say looking around at my family and giving Tan a loving kiss.
I'm home.
