Girls ran all over the place chugging soda devouring snacks and dancing to pop songs as Madeline slowly put a wall up over herself scared of new people until a group walked up to her sitting on the couch next to her.
"Ugh I hate dancing I'm so clumsy that it sucks even if I try to do it. I mean left foot stomp, right foot stomp, reverse, reverse, now hop three times. How dare they tell us how to dance?" A giant five year old said looking over at a lonely Madeline.
"Oh don't I know it I mean to the right to the right to the right to the left to the left who cares how we dance in The Cupid Shuffle? I mean what if I danced to the left to the left to the left to the left to the right to the right?" Another girl asked chugging a Mountain Dew.
"Hola Mi Amigas so what be up I mean can't you hear The Cotton Eyed Joe calling our names? It's the best dance ever I mean where did you come from where did you go where did you come from Cotton Eyed Joe" A peppy girl squeaked bouncing up and down.
The peppy girl plopped onto the couch spying Madeline and her heart went out to the birthday girl having a very bad birthday party.
"Aww stiffen that upper lip B Day Girl I mean your life can't be that bad can it? I bet you just have to find happiness like other people do by becoming social butterflies. I'm never leaving your side and these two will join me because we're all a package deal right ladies?"
The other two cheered sarcastically as two other girls joined the sofa party and Madeline looked up noticing the crowd she was attracting around her.
"Sorry if I'm a party pooper but I can't be happy even with the biggest party ever because I have three wicked cousins and they are just so big on making my life sad" Madeline said as the peppy girl readjusted a crown on Madeline's bunny head and beamed at her.
"Everybody has bullies you just need to remember that one day you'll be bigger than them and then you can squash them like a buggy. I'm Kendra by the way Kendra Washington and I'll allow the others to introduce themselves if they want".
"I'm Deidra Long Honey and let me just say with how tall I am bullies scram when they see me and I do feel bad seeing a sad birthday girl. So tell you what as a present you point those three out and I'm like a Mad Dog and you're holding the T Bone over my mouth" The tall girl said.
Madeline looked around and found the girls showing whoever was interested a baby photo album of Madeline and she finally had enough pointing to the girls and following Deidra to them.
"This is Madeline in the bathtub isn't she cute her butt red and all that? I mean she's just going to love the fact that we're showing her little friends a book starring her" Laureli said as Madeline snatched the book and replaced it in a bookcase.
"That's them their the bullies and they hate me just because I try to be cute when adults are around so I can get a little attention".
Deidra blocked the view of the party from the girls and the three girls gulped knowing Deidra well her being the reason the whole neighborhood hated them.
"Ladies pleasure to see you again and just let me say I'm glad you haven't changed one bit because that makes me the bouncer to this party happy that you don't disappoint".
"Ladies meet my best friends Deidra, Kendra and I don't know the rest of your names but I can learn them I'm sure".
"Listen Gigantaur we made you cry once and we can do it again so move back and let us in or else" Lisa said feeling braver then she looked.
"You caught me on a bad day pint size now if you would give me your names I'll check the list and see if you're on it".
Lisa ran at Deidra and swiftly started biting, kicking, and punching Deidra as she smiled easily lifting Lisa up to her mouth.
"See pint size as I said bad day now you get to smell what I had for breakfast and then as I said names, lists, and all that".
Deidra exhaled deeply so the smell of her breakfast reached Lisa's nose who moaned and gagged fish being the only word she could muster.
"Very good fish and eggs nothing better than that now need I ask for your names again or are you going to stand in here wishing you were in there?" Deidra asked pointing to the party.
"Lisa, Laureli, and Lana Sanban now let us in seeing we live here and should be on the list. If we're not it's all Madeline's fault and you can take it up with her" Lana said trying to choose her words carefully.
"Hmm now let's see Sanban? Sanban? Sanban? Sanban? Hey any relation to John, Kuki, Wally, Mushi, Sandy, and Madeline Sanban?"
"Ughhhhhhhhhh yes we're from the same stupid bloodline now let us in and we can continue to party until the party dies" Laureli said as Deidra grinned and cracked her knuckles chuckling.
"In any case you three aren't on the list and until you can find someone to vouch for you I'm gonna have to velvet rope you ladies"
Deidra pulled a long purple rope out and blocked the party from the girls as Lisa grumbled it's not fair under her breath.
"Sure it is what isn't fair is treating your cousin like she's a black sheep and bullying her just because she likes adult attention".
"Listen Gigantaur we live here and you don't so let us in and we'll all be happy. If you don't I'll have to resort to my secret weapon".
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh and what's that Lice pouting your lip and screaming for your mommy? I can do that too and I'm louder seeing I'm taller and have a louder voice than you".
"Deidra we were friends once I mean remember when we gave you all our Halloween candy because you had the chicken pox?"
"Yea or the time we gave you mouth to mouth because you drowned in the town pool. The lifeguard said we were very persistent".
"Yea or the time we all went to the drive in and you pigged out on junk food all night while we helped? I men remember the good times".
"Oh puhlease you three did those things because it was your fault I was ever in those situations. Lisa gave me chicken pox on purpose, Laureli grabbed me and made me drown before saving me, and Lana brought me to the drive in to tell me I wasn't a Sanban friend anymore nice try ladies".
"Sure we put you in those situations but we always got you out and frankly you not being our friend is your fault. We saw you as a fighter and you never defended us like you defend fake Judy Hopps in there" Lisa said trying to push her way into the party.
"Ladies as I said find someone to vouch for you and I'll let you in but until then since you're not on the list you are going to have to play the waiting game".
John came in his arms filled to the brim with grocery bags as the three sister's ran up to him smiling hoping they didn't look suspicious.
"Ladies so nice of you to help unpack the food but I do need to ask what gives and does it have anything to do with Madeline's newly acquired giant friend Deidra Long?" John asked taking things out of the bags.
"She's-so-stubborn-just-because-we-pulled-a-few-pranks-we're-scarred-for-life-and-ripped-from-Madeline's-life-forever" Lana said angrily glaring at Deidra as she glared back.
"Luckily Summer vacation starts tomorrow and mommy has been extra generous to let Madeline pick some girl's to sleep over and Deidra happens to be one of those girls. Now why is she so stubborn?"
"She's playing an extra mean bouncer for Madeline's party and right now we don't have our names on the list but the rest of the family's on the list and we have to have someone vouch for us so we can get in" Laureli said on the verge of tears.
"Good for her at least Madeline will have a fun party and no bullies to ruin that for her. I mean she reverse bullied you three and she did rather well if I may say so myself. See she sees you three as bullies so she hires the giant over there to be her friend and keep you three out".
"YEA WELL THEY CAN'T KEEP HER SAFE FOREVER BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN THEIR NOT AROUND AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO SHOW MADELINE WHAT WE'RE MADE OF THE STUPID CRYBABY!"
Kuki was let into the kitchen by Deidra and she looked down at Lisa hearing her latest outburst and she knew Deidra was doing the right thing.
"Well looks like you three are the antiparty animals and for good reason. Showing Madeline's naked baby pictures was low and she found a way to get even by locking you three out of her party" Kuki said carrying appetizers and more soda into the party the three girl's attempted to sneak in with her.
"Sorry ladies but you aren't on the list and I'm a stickler for lists and people on them but then again who isn't? I mean lists are what make America great" Deidra said shoving the girl's back into the kitchen.
"Deidra you know this is our house right? And with this being our house we're automatically on every party list including this one" Lana said as Lisa secretively added three names to the list in purple crayon.
"Ahh here you are Lauralee, Lanea, and Lisa but at least Lisa was spelled right I mean she should know how to spell her own name".
"Great so we'll just join the party and try to ruin it the best we can. I mean it's not hard to bring Birthday Girl back to the gutter" Laureli said hearing Madeline giggle with girls all around her.
"Ladies meet The Sleepover Gang and The Welcoming Committee their here to make sure Birthday Girl joins Brownies and has all the fun she wants".
The three girls marched up to the crowd around Madeline and they sneered knowing one way to get to Madeline and it was something that was so mean they knew they could make her cry.
"I hope they have an XXXXXXXXXXXXXXL uniform for fatty over there I mean she has to wear teenager's clothes just to fit in them".
"Yea I mean who's her boyfriend Gunter The Pig from Sing? He, he I mean she could be Rosita and her kids she's so fat".
"Madeline's so fat her booty needs its own zip code I mean no Brownie uniform can fit her and that's the tale of the tape".
"Oink, oink piggy why don't you have another whole pizza and then complain how your clothes never fit you. Deidra and you get along great both of your clothes will never fit again one's fat and the other's unnaturally tall" Lana said as the two others were on the floor laughing.
Madeline ran off bawling as The Sleepover Gang and Welcoming Committee followed her upstairs to John's room where she threw herself onto her bed moaning because she knew in a way her three wicked cousins were right.
"Maddie you're not fat I've seen bigger much bigger sweetie. Once you hit your growth spurt you'll thin out just ask Deidra" Kendra said stroking Madeline's white and jet black hair.
"Watch it Mouse just because we're friends doesn't mean I won't slug you. She's right though kid as you get taller that fat will magically disappear into thin air".
"Easy- for- you- all- to- say- you're- not- Rosita- The- Pig- from- Sing- I- am- and- I- would- appreciate- it- if- the- party- thinned- out- thanks- for- coming" Madeline wailed as Deidra, Kendra, and three other girls sat around Madeline stroking her hair.
"You know what makes me feel better when I'm down? Music and I have the perfect upbeat song to help you get through life my mama and daddy taught it to me Deidra said clearing her throat as the sleepover gang cluttered around her.

"My names Madeline not Jonas but I suppose I could replace Jonas with Madeline when we sing the song. Now let's hup two three four downstairs for more partying, present opening, and we have got a number one priority plan the biggest slumber party tonight".
Deidra lifted Madeline onto her shoulders and the girls skipped downstairs belting out My Name Is Madeline to whoever would listen and that included Lisa, Lana, and Laureli who eyed Madeline's present table filled to the brim with pretty boxes with bows.
"Alright peeps let's check the revised party list and get rid of some bad apples making the most delicious apple pie ever" A girl with blonde pigtails said handing a paper to Deidra who sneered eyeing the three wicked cousins as she walked up to them.
"Names pretty ladies and make this quick my main girl Maddie has presents to open and more songs to listen to wo she can get out of her I'm in the dumps slump".
"Uhh Nadia, Hannah, and Lindsay Buckingham we're triplets? I mean we're triplets and no that wasn't a question it was an answer" Lisa said as Deidra chuckled looking at the list pictures next to all the names.
"Hmm interesting Buckingham triplets and the reason I say that is because and you couldn't have known this the Buckingham triplets are boys not girls so swing and a major miss ladies".
"OMG did she say the Buckingham triplets I meant the Sanban triplets and we are most certainly invited seeing this isn't our house so make us move Gigan-"
Before Laureli could finish Deidra lifted the girls up and tossed them into the hall where the velvet rope met them and the girls got rug burn on their butts.
"You know the funny thing is that since its Summer The Sleepover gang is going to sleep here each and every night. Plus to be fair to John Kuki and Wally your parents added on to their house giving Madeline John's room and John once again gets his own room".
John and Angelica walked downstairs to a newly acquired basement boxes in bot of their hands as the girls seethed with rage.
"You can't stay here all Summer you guys have parents and eventually their going to miss you. Don't ask me why but they will and then Maddie as you call her will be our bullying chew toy" Lana said as the sleepover gang laughed nobody harder than Madeline.
"So are you puppies are doggies? Either way you'll get treats, food, and water everyday plus you'll get to go to the bathroom outside" Madeline said as she was on the floor out of breath as the other girls except Deidra were also on the floor trying to catch their breath.
"Yea well at least we're not as fat as you piggy. I mean I'm surprised there's burgers, hot dogs, pizza, candy, cake, ice cream, and soda left with as much as you eat and drink Porky" Lana said as Madeline smiled remembering Deidra's trick.
"Oh yea well My name is Madeline

"Alright Party Peeps present time then the sleepover gang will need duffels, sleeping bags, rations, sleepover provisions, extra clothes, and teeth brushing materials" Kuki said as the party excluding the wicked cousins sat in a circle around Madeline who tore paper off of box after box coming to the last one from the sleepover gang.
"OMG, OMG, OMG, that's ours guys that's ours she's going to canip when she opens it I mean like totally mega canip" Kendra squeaked earning the nickname Mouse.
Madeline opened the box and she found an empty photo album with a camera resting on top of it as Madeline sniffled and cried loving her present.
"We all have one and we got ours when we first met so I figured you've more than earned the right of passage into The Sleepover Gang and later tonight you'll be initiated into it just like we were" Deidra said hugging Madeline as the non sleepover gang girls left and the rest geared up for sleepover fun.
