Chapter 11
I enter the house to find a Rebekah wearing a man shirt (Sebastian's shirt) and my best friend shirtless in his pajama pants. They both look at me surprise.
"Where the hell have you been?" He asks me and I start to make my morning coffee.
"Around." I tell him and he knows something happen but doesn't asks.
"Well we have school in an hour." He tells me and I drink my black coffee and nod.
"I will just take a shower and change." I tell him.
"Where is Rebekah?" I ask Sebastian once I enter the living room again, now ready for the day.
"She already left. So what is going on in your mind?"
"Elijah. We kind of kissed last night." I tell him and he looks at me surprise.
"So you guys talked." He says and I conform with a nod. "That is good. Do you feel like you can be with him?"
"I don't know. Something I think I am others I don't."
"Take it slow, everything will be fine." He tells me with a kind smile.
"Speaking of exes. Klaus gave Katherine her freedom." I say to him and he's smile is gone.
"You are thinking of bringing her here?" He asks with a blank expression. This is not going to be easy.
"I still don't know. Have you guys talked?"
"No and I really don't want to." He says and I take a deep breath.
"How are thing with Becca?" I ask and I see a little smile on his face. He liked her. Sebastian likes someone.
"They are great we have a lot in common." He tells me and I smile keeping myself from jumping with happiness. "Stop with that smile. Like you are all proud and happy."
"But I am. Don't break her heart or I will break your leg." I tell him but I end up smiling. "Even if I am smiling this is a treat."
"Of course it is." He says smirking. "Now we have to go work."
The field where the girls trained is close to the football field and once I got there they were all ready.
"You actually are going to help." Caroline says happy looking at my dark blue tank top and black leggings.
"That is the point Caroline." I say and turn to the girls. "Ok each one of you had 5 minutes to show me what you prepare at the end of the practice I will tell which ones made the team. Just 15 will make it." I inform and they all nod and they start to come up one at the time and at the end I end up with the 25 girls. "You were all good but I want you to be great so you will need to practice. Caroline and Rebekah you are the co captains." I tell the two blondes
As the 3 of us walk to my car we saw Sebastian waiting for us and Rebekah smiles kissing him.
"Not against my car please."I tell both of them and they break apart and I whisper to Caroline. "Now my car will be full with germs." I say and she laughs as Rebekah sends me a dirty look. Then I saw a familiar face in a more hidden place and I take my car keys from my bag and given them to Sebastian.
"Just don't break it." I tell him and he looks confused I say give him a smile and walk to Elijah's direction as I follow him.
As Valeria walk out of the parking lot Rebekah start to smile like a kid on Christmas.
"Isn't that Elijah?" Caroline asks looking at the couple leaving they vision.
"Yep." Rebekah says happily. "I hope they get back together again." She tells Sebastian who just tries to hide his smile. "You know something." She tells him suspicious and he just gives her a smirk. "You do. Tell me."
"I don't think I should." He tells but Rebekah gives him a sexy look and he licks his lips.
"Ok. They kissed last night."
"I knew it. Elijah as too happy this morning." She says and looks at the place where the formal couple as minutes ago.
We both walk to the river close to a bridge and I look at the November sun. Elijah looks at me and I could feel his smile. So I got to the river and took my sneakers putting and put my foot on the water sitting in a dry place.
"I can see you still love the water." He tells me and I turn smiling at him and nodding. "You used to do this everything we were in close to a river or an ocean.
"You still remember." I say softly and he sits next to me.
"How could I forget? I remember where when we were leaving in Ireland by beach and everything I didn't knew were you were I would find you by the beach reading or just playing with the water." He tells me and I turn to him and he starts to play with curl of my hair that was loose from my ponytail and I look at me wearing sports clothes and him wearing a suit and I have to laugh softly and he looks at me confused.
"Here we are me wearing simple workout clothes and you wearing an expensive suit."
"And you look perfect." He tells me and I give him a shy at this voice tone (I would be blushing if I was human).
"You look very handsome too." I say and I open my eyes once I realize what I said and he keeps playing with my hair.
"So why are you wearing this clothes?"
"Why? You don't like then?" I say playfully.
"I could be wear a plastic bag and still be the most beautiful woman ever." He tells me and this time I blush a little bit. "You are blushing." He says touching my face.
"Still part human and to answer your question Caroline and your sister drag me to be their cheerleading coach." He starts to smile at something and I look at him confused. "What is it?"
"I am imagining you wearing a cheerleading uniform."
"Elijah." I say shocked at a playfully Elijah.
"It is true." He simple says and I smile at him them I look at the sky.
"It's going to rain."
"It's sunny." He points it out.
"And I have a sixth sense." I say getting up from the grit. "Besides I have classes to plan."
"Like you don't know history." He tells me with a smile.
"Correction, I made part of the history." I tell him with a kind smile and walk away from the place.
Later at nigh Sebastian and I went to the grill where I found Elena and her friends.
"Hello Valeria." Elena tells me and the other two girls smile at me.
"Hi everyone." I tell them and I see Rebekah get into the grill and smiling at me and Sebastian. "You know the rules. You have a room for something." I tell him and he roll his eyes leaving me.
"Do you want to sit?" Elena asks and I nod sitting next to her and in front of Caroline. "Caroline here is telling us about practice."
"I didn't do anything just try to evaluate the team."
"So what do you think? Do we have a shot at winning?" Caroline asks me.
"I think we do. Just need to work for that but we have time."
"So why are you so sad Caroline?" I ask the girl and she looks at me surprised. "I notice in History."
"I found out that when Tyler left he slept with a girl, Hayley and when he returned she came with me."
"Did you two break up?"
"I mean not officially. No one of us actually said we are over or something."
"You need to talk to him Caroline, clear everything."
"I just thought he was the one, you know, but lately things changed."
"I'm really sorry Caroline." I say holding her hand and giving her a soft smile. "Sometimes if for the best?"
"Was it for you?" She asks me.
"Elijah and me are a very complicated story but I think it was good the time we spend apart. It made us grow up. At least it made me."
"Do you still love him?" Caroline asks not being sure if she should asks so I give her an encouraging smile.
"Yes. He is my one true love."
"After 500 years." Elena says surprised.
"Well 1000 to be more correct but I got your point but yes. No matter what happens when it comes to true love you never forget. That is the different between the one or whatever you call it and the other man you love."
"1000 years." Caroline whispers and once she seems me she gets shy. "It's look so unreal. It's like forever."
"I know but forever it's forever, just a few actually can say they did."
"Did you believe in it once you got married?" Bonnie asks.
"I married human but yes I knew Elijah has the one. We were lucky to married the person we loved back then wasn't common."
"And divorces weren't common too."
"Back them they didn't even exist."
"But you and Elijah got divorced." Caroline points it out. I didn't actually get divorced. I mean we have been apart for 500 years but I didn't get divorced they didn't excited back them. If I didn't got divorced does that makes me married? Shit. "Wait you and Elijah didn't got divorced. So you are still married." Carolina says but I barely hear her. How can someone take 500 years to realize she is still married? I am still married.
