Chapter 11: Right Here Waiting…For You…
Stop Talking…
"FITZ," Olivia cackled as his lips descended upon hers. She moved her head from left to right dodging his advances. His lips are on her cheeks, kissing her face. Her giggles and squeals grow louder as Fitz's failed attempts to reach her lips become frantic. Both his large hands are now her face, firming holding it in place.
"Olivia," he growls. His voice is deep, sending a chill up her spine. He feels her flinch beneath him, causing a smug grin to appear on his face. She swallows quickly, and bits her bottom lip to swart off some nervousness. One way or another, Fitz is going to keep her quiet for the next twenty minutes.
When she challenged him a few minutes ago, a bet to see who could be the other up the hill, she was certain that she'd win. The first time after she made him dinner and walked him home - she beat him without any difficulty. He was out of breath by the time he made it to her. However this time, he was ready. Fitz blew past her, and was now waiting to cash in "what hope meant."
It had been an interesting week for the both of them. When she arrived Tuesday to surprise him for the State of the Union, he was utterly dumfounded and shocked to see her in HIS box smiling down on him. Jerry, Karen, Cyrus and his loyal agents came up with the plan to bring her to the Capital for this momentous occasion.
The look on his face was priceless as he gazed up to his box and saw his LIVY standing there clapping. Olivia found the perfect dress, had her hair done. She wore the black and white pearls he gave to her. She knew she would be on TV and was going to look the part of future First Lady.
Since that day her life has changed dramatically. Stephen and Georgia had taken her around DC. Fitz's friend and designer Lyn Paolo was coming next weekend to look in her closet and get feel for her style. The morning she left to return home, she walked the West Wing halls with Cyrus, as the "Woman in White." She wanted to prove to herself that she could be the woman that Fitz needed and deserved.
But then she became ill. It scared Fitz have to death and he raced up to Vermont. She hated keeping how sick she was from him, but did not want him to get it. Obviously it was too late now, but in hind sight, she was happy he risked his security to come for her. Time and again he proves that she is the most important person in his life, and it only makes her love him more.
As she looks into his sparkling blue eyes above her face, she becomes lost. She stops fighting, and his smile changes from one of mischief to pure love. She cups his cheeks, holding them securely in her palms. His soft shaved face, is smooth. Olivia traces her thumbs against his skin, causing Fitz to nestle himself into her hands.
"Hmmm,' he hums in delight. As she continues to caress his face lightly, he gazes upon her with twinkling eyes. She sees a look of amazement then bewilderment in his eyes. "What?"
Leaning just above her face, inhaling her sweet perfume, "How did I EVER live without you before?" With his nose just gracing against her skin he exhales and inhales more of its aroma. Olivia smiles as they touch. He's doing his best not to smother her completely. But every part of his body aches to be as close to her as she allows.
He inhales deeply. "God you smell good Livy," burying his nose into her neck. His mouth is just under her ear and he kisses her there. One hand slides down her back, and cups her bottom. She moans feeling his hand squeeze her backside. She lifts her hips, aching to feel more of him.
"I don't know. How did you," she asks pressing her lips to his face. Fitz exhales, wrapping an arm under her neck. "But I'll be here waiting for you…always." Fitz presses lingering kisses to her forehead not once but twice. After each kiss, he exhales. "Fitz," whimpering his name.
Her confirmation that she will "wait" for him, feels him with butterflies in his stomach. He loves her so much. All he wants is for them to be together now. The thought of separating from her causes a wave of despair in his heart, but its hindered feeling her hands on his body.
"Yes," his voice is deep, laced with desire. He wants her in every way imaginable. Fitz yearns to show her how much, but only if she will allow it. He knows they cannot consummate their relationship till she becomes a "Grant." However they are things he truly hopes she will allow.
"I thought you said….," and she cut off with her words as their lips finally connect. Their mouths feel parched as their lips united in an open mouth kiss. Once her lips part, Fitz takes control and leisurely snakes his tongue into her mouth seeking out hers. Her mouth was warm, drawing Fitz in further, not even quenching his thirst for more.
Her hands ran from his curls, to his shoulders, down his back. His muscles flex under her touch. Finally her fingers reached the bottom of his shirt and gradually she begins to untuck it from his slacks. Fitz feels his shirt being lifted and moves just enough for her to pull it free. As her tiny fingers touch his hot skin on his back, he moans into her mouth.
Spurring her on further, Olivia begins to raise the shirt to lift it off his body. Olivia aches to see Fitz's shirtless above her, to feel and see his skin. Once his shirt his half way up his torso, Fitz pulls away from their heated kiss, and jerks the shirt off his body. Olivia's eyes grow wide, as she marvels it his toned muscles, chest hair, and abs.
"Christ," she utters. A huge grin emerges on Fitz's face as she checks him out. He's a man in his fifties but with Olivia, he feels close to her age. She bits her lip, running her nimble fingers across his toned chest, sternum and rib cage. She feels every muscle, as her fingers run across his body. Fitz skin not only burns under her light and sensual caresses but it prickles.
"Livy," leaning down again to kiss her more deeply. Just as his lips connect with hers, she finds his hand that's been on her bottom. She reaches for it, startling Fitz. She smiles shyly, making sure her understands he did nothing wrong. Gradually she bring his hand to the base of her shirt. Not wanting to make her uncomfortable he asks, "You sure?"
He realizes they are both consenting adults, but he refuses to anything to jeopardize their wedding night. It is one thing for her to see him without a shirt. He's a man and it's perfectly allowed. But for her – his Livy, it's different. She has never been with a man, and will only take that step if it's what she wants.
"Fitz, I need to feel you," she begs. Her senses are in overdrive, feeling overwhelmed by her growing need to be closer to him.
"Livy," he murmurs, feeling her hand, sliding his underneath her own shirt. It's on her stomach. Her breathing is erratic, the skin is soft but hot. "I want you so bad," kissing her quickly. "The way you make me feel when I'm with you- close to you. Christ I can't get enough of you."
"Fitz," she squeals, as their hips begin to move in sync, rubbing on the other. She senses his hardness through his pants, and opens her legs wider. Her body has a mind of it's own, yearning for the his touch in a way she's never experienced.
She begins to rub herself against him. It's almost his undoing. The friction she creates, in heightens Fitz's desire. She is fully clothed. He's NEVER been this completely turned on by a woman before. Finally his lips attached to her own in a fiery passionate kiss. She moans out loud.
"Christ," he whimpers feeling her hands all over his body. Her fingernails are attempting not to claw his back muscles. His tongue dives deeper into her mouth, as the speed of their kiss becomes frantic. Olivia is panting into his mouth, feeling Fitz's hand inside her shirt. She wants him to touch her everywhere all at once. She is fighting the war with herself to allow him.
Finally Fitz pulls away placing both hands on her now flushed cheeks. She opens her eyes in a haze, fluttering her eye lashes as she gazes up at Fitz. He begins to slow his breathing, and holds her hips still to calm them both down. Fitz realizes that if they do not stop, he will be too tempted to carry her up the stairs, and break his promise to her and Louis.
"Fitz," exhaling in his name. "Why did you stop?"
He smiles. "Because if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to Livy." He removes himself from her body, laying in front of her on the couch. He slinks his arm underneath her body, and pulls her close. Her head is just over his heart, and she wraps her arms around his chest. Fitz grabs a blanket from the back of the couch and covers them both.
"I'm sorry," kissing his chest just over his heart.
He squints. "For what Sweetheart," rubbing circles on her back, inside her shirt.
"That I'm still a virgin," nestling her face in his neck. She's embarrassed and does not want him to see it.
"Huh," he scoffs in shock. "Livy," attempting to catch her eyes but she hides her face. She tries to pull the blanket over her face but he stops her. "Olivia?"
"Don't," she pleads, closing her eyes. "We can't have sex because I'm a virgin. I have never been with a man because I waited all this time for you," explaining on the verge of tears.
"Liv," he questions unsure where this is coming from? Finally he rolls from his back to his side so he can gaze into her expressive brown eyes. He sees her tears cascading down her face, and it breaks his heart. "Look at me."
"Ah huh," shaking her head vigorously.
"Livy," pleading in the sweetest voice. He touches her face with his nose, then kisses her tears away. He thought this would help, but she buries her head into his chest. He hears sniffles and holds her until she stops. "I. Love. You."
She whimpers. "I know."
"So. Fucking. Much," emphasizing the curse word. He hears a chuckle emit from her. Finally she looks up into his eyes, giving him a faint smile. He lifts her chin. "There you are."
"You cursed," teasing Fitz.
"I did," answering like it's no big deal.
"I. Love. You. So. Fucking. Much too…," causing Fitz to laugh. He leans down to kiss her sweetly on her lips. As their lips touch, he murmurs that she's his everything over and over again. She sighs and allows his words to sooth her fears. "Fitz…,"
She's stopped in her words. "Livy. Don't you ever apologize to me for waiting for the right person, understand? I wish I waited for you to come back into my life. It never felt right, when I was intimate with Mellie. But I thought that was how it was supposed to be, until I found you."
"But I didn't think I'd want you like this Fitz." Her voices cracks. "I never knew it could feel this way. I want to feel every part of you at once. And I don't know how to handle all this."
He perches himself above her. He cups her face in his hand. "Livy I don't either. I know I'm a man and I have needs," making her smile. "But don't ever doubt how much I love you and that you are worth waiting for. I NEED, WANT, and DESIRE you all the time. All it takes is for you to walk into a room, and I want to take you up against a wall."
She raises her eyes, liking that idea. "And six ways to Sunday all over the White House."
Fitz laughs. "And the other six days in the week too." Now she begins to laugh.
"Fitz," blushing at the mere thought of that. "A part of me doesn't want to wait."
He exhales. "I know. But then we will both regret it. I want our first time to be the most romantic night of your life Livy. Because I know it will be mine. This cannot happen in the spur of the moment because we allowed our hormones to get the best of us. I love you too much for that to happen."
"Oh Fitz," murmuring. She grabs his face, hauling him closer for open mouth kisses. Olivia arranges her body, flush against his, allowing their bodies to mold perfectly against the older. Her plush lips brush delicately against Fitz's, causing tingles down his arms. His body quivers as she meticulously teases him with her soft lips, daring him to take control.
Fitz smiles against her face, not sanctioning himself to her demands. She growls as she yanks his bottom lip into her mouth. "Come on Fitz," challenging him in a sultry voice. "You know you want to," raising her voice higher.
"I want to what," he answers with a deep, sweltering voice. The warmth in his words launches vibrations down her body. Her body trembles in his arms.
She gasps feeling his hands creeping up her legs. "Fitz!"
"Livy," whispering his HOT breath into her neck.
She feels the tip of his tongue on her neck. "Say it dammit," she pleads with a hoarse voice.
"I want to kiss you Livy," speaking directly into her ear. She moans a sound Fitz is positive he has not heard her utter before now. Just as his lips touch hers they hear a knock on the door. They ignore it at first but the sound becomes more persistent. Fitz grumbles in protest moving away from their heated make out session.
He buries his face into her neck, calming himself before getting dressed. The knocking grows louder and Fitz finally swings the door open. "Who in the hell," he scoffs but it's silenced.
"Hi Dad!"
Fitz is stunned momentarily seeing his two teenage children standing before him. Livy hears their voices and sits up quickly on the couch. Karen runs to her, throwing herself around her giving her a huge hug. Olivia is so shocked that she cannot speak either. Jerry quickly hugs Fitz and rushes to Olivia giving her a HUGE bear hug.
"I missed yah Pumpkin," making Olivia smile.
"What are you two doing here," Olivia finally asks as Fitz gather's his words.
"We begged Cyrus to let us come up. Plus Karen called your Dad and he said you were much better. We were supposed to see you this weekend anyway," Jerry quickly explains. "Just not here. Right Dad," looking to Fitz who is walking towards his two teenagers.
"I thought I told you two to stay at the White House. I swear I am not sure who I am more mad at, Cyrus or you both," placing his hands on his hips. "Do you know how much trouble you can get into for coming up here and ditching your details?"
"Dad," Karen speaks next. "We didn't ditch our details. We called Stephen and Mitch and they coordinated with our agents. They told us Olivia was fever free and we HAD to come and see her," she whines.
"But the Press," walking closer to them both. "They know about Livy now. How do you know you were not followed?"
"Dad no one knows Liv is up here," Jerry justifies in a rushed voice. "All you confirmed in your interview was that you knew her. Cyrus has been paying close attention to the headlines and news at the White House. We're good. Come on we wanted to be here to meet Liv's family."
"Please Daddy don't be mad at us. You had all this ALONE time with Liv. You just didn't want to share," Karen whines to Fitz in a five year old voice. Olivia is doing her best not to laugh. Her hand is covering her mouth but she is finding it more difficult.
Fitz groans walking to the fireplace. "I swear you two are going to make me grow grey. Look when we get back you are both grounded. No TV, or computers for the next week. Unless it has to do with a school assignment. And Jerry NO SNACKING."
"What come on," Jerry protests.
"You heard me Fitzgerald," calling his son by this full name. "I know Cyrus didn't come up with this idea on his own," now looking at Karen. "No CELL PHONE for the entire week – BOTH of you."
"WHAT," both kids voices grow louder.
"Your agents will carry your phones and when you get home from school, I get them. Is it understood," Fitz dares his teens to challenge him. "I know you both meant well by coming here to see Liv but you could have caused more harm than good. What if the Press saw you or…,"
"Fitz," Olivia grabs his hand stopping his rant.
"They meant well," causing Fitz to scowl. "Don't you give me that look Mr. President," reprimanding him instead. "You were ALL supposed to be with me this weekend anyway Fitz. I got sick and messed everything up."
"I should have kept you at the White House," he gripes in a harsh undertone.
"I wouldn't have allowed you to," raising her eyes.
"Try me," disputing in a cheeky voice. Olivia shakes her head, no willing to get into this type of banter with him. She looks to the kids. "Next time clear it with him okay. I LOVE having you both come see me but I'm not worth the Secret Service getting a migraine over."
"No Pumpkin," Jerry nudges her. "You're worth a whole lot more."
"You're shameless," pinching his cheeks. "Just like your father," flashing a huge smile to Fitz.
Fitz finally brings his kids in for a hug, and once he reviews their punishment with them again, they chat for a few moments. Olivia phone chimes and it's her Ant Lizzy, Uncle Bernie and father reminding them that the "guests" will be arriving soon.

Dinner Guests
As Fitz closes the door to Rose Point, he listens as Jerry and Karen talk to Olivia. Their conversation is nothing serious but he can hear the excitement in their voices. The also chat about her BIG Valentine Interview coming up. "You make Dad so happy Pumpkin," Jerry states to Olivia in a funny voice.
As they begin to walk back to Olivia's, Fitz chuckles to himself hearing Olivia call him "Pumpkin," back. Karen then asks if she can come up to see her next weekend with Lyn Paolo. "Please Livy. I really want to help. Clothes kind of are my thing?"
He turns around and watches his daughter stand before his girlfriend with pleading eyes and her hands folded in front of her. Fitz smirks seeing so much of himself in her. Olivia bits her bottom lip unsure how to answer Karen's request. "Karen," Fitz chimes in walking to them. He places his arm around her shoulders. "I think it may be best if you stay behind."
Karen begins to tear up. "But Dad I really want to help."
"I know you do, but I think it's best if you sit out this time okay." Karen is about to throw a fit but Olivia stops her.
"Karen honey," taking her hand. "Your Dad is right. I think I am going to need to this time alone with Lyn to figure out what styles will work best. I am sure she already has an idea but we don't have a lot of time before my interview with you all." Karen is now pouting. "I really want you there too Sweetie but trust me you and I will go shopping to the Mall as soon as this interview is over."
Karen's face spreads into a huge grin. "Really Liv the mall? I haven't been in forever," now looking at Fitz.
"You ladies decide when," Fitz replies with an exaggerated eye roll. "I'll talk to the Secret Service. I need to prepare my wallet."
"Fitz," Olivia chastises him. "You are NOT buying me anything MISTER," pointing her finger at him now.
"You don't say Miss Pope," wrapping his arm around her back pulling her close. They are now at the black gates to Rose Point. Karen and Jerry step out with Quincy, and they follow. Olivia watches Fitz lock the gate and the agents join them. He sees her eye up the hill. "After dinner you can challenge me again."
"Not tonight Mister," wrapping her arms around his torso for a quick hug. "After you meet my brother and sister their spouses that will feel like running up that hill. Both my sister and sister in law are pregnant, remember," she questions him as they cross the street.
Fitz nods. Karen and Jerry are now racing Quincy up her driveway. She stops and gazes up at her roof seeing some snow that probably should be knocked off. "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" His voice is deep and commanding.
"I was not," interrupting his train of thought quickly.
They are now half way up the drive way and he stops her. Jerry and Karen are running with Quincy hoping to tire him out. Fitz stands directly in front of her to get her full attention. He takes her face in his hands and lifts it so he can look into her deep eyes. "Livy I know you and that blasted roof of yours. I CANNOT have MY GIRLFRIEND," stressing the last two words sweetly, "up there right now. What if a reporter is near is snaps a picture of you? Or worse you fall?" His voice is full of worry.
"Fitz," holding his face and resting her forehead against his. "I am NOT going to fall and if a reporter gets a picture of me on MY roof so what. It's not like I'm up there naked." Fitz eyes grow huge at her comment.
"Olivia," sternly replying, hating the fact that she goes up there.
"Fitz," placing her fingers over her lips to silence him but he pulls away.
"If you go up there and I see you on the news. I will COME up here and get you down myself. Secret Service and reporters be dammed," explaining to her in a tone that he means business.
"You wouldn't?"
"Try me Pumpkin," kissing her nose. She swats him away with half a grin on her face.
"Whatever Mr. President," kissing him senseless and then pulling away before he has a chance to gather himself. He groans in displeasure seeing her in front of him, sauntering away. He races up to her and scoops her up in his arms. "FITZ!"
Fitz laughs and carries Olivia to her front door. Her father sees them coming and opens the door. Karen and Jerry run to him for a quick hug and then allows Fitz and Olivia to pass. "Did you fall or something Liv?" Louis asks her and Fitz.
"No Dad. Fitz is being a pain in the…," Olivia begins to explain but her godmother stops her.
"Olivia Carolyn Pope do NOT finish that statement," Elizabeth scolds her. "Please don't tell me you are actually complaining about the President of the United States carrying you," coming out of the kitchen. "Because CHILD if you are, you and Mammy have to talk."
Fitz places her down. "No Ma'am. Fitz is JUST being a pest." Karen and Jerry stand by Olivia partially afraid of Elizabeth. She's holding a wooden spoon and lightly tapping her hand. Fitz notices his teens behavior and chuckles to himself.
"Are you two fighting about that ROOF again," she hears from Uncle Bernard. He sees Karen and Jerry and gives them a quick hug. When Olivia doesn't respond and blushes in Fitz's arms he already knows the answer.
"Just like your Papa Joe," Louis states with a grin.
"Yup," Bernard answers for her father.
Everyone takes their shoes off and she gathers Karen and Jerry bringing them to meet her Elizabeth. They walk slow not sure if she is anything like Olivia's mother. "Karen. Jerry this is my Godmother. My Uncle Bernard's wife Elizabeth."
"Nice to meet you Ma'am," Karen squeaks and shakes Elizabeth's hand.
"An absolute pleasure," Jerry replies taking Elizabeth's hand and kissing the top.
"Lord Child," Elizabeth fans herself, looks up at Fitz, who's grinning. "There is no doubt that THIS BOY," touching his cheeks, "is yours. He's got your charms, and he's good looking. Watch him Fitzgerald," winking at Fitz. She hurries back into the kitchen to check on dinner.
"Yes Ma'am," Fitz answers walking to his kids. He wraps his arms around them both. "Olivia's godmother is NOTHING like Adelyn okay."
"Dad are you sure," Karen whispers.
"Sweet pea," Karen hears from Elizabeth. Karen sees her looking at her now. "I am NOTHING like my WITCH of a sister law. And you and Jerry can call me Miss Lizzy, Ant Liz, or Mammy. That is what my Livy calls me." Olivia blushes.
"Dad," both kids looks to him on what to do.
"You heard her," winking at Elizabeth. Karen and Jerry decide to play with Quincy until dinner is ready. "I am staying out of it," and begins to search for Olivia. Her coat is off and she's in the kitchen helping Elizabeth. Fitz decides to sit at the breakfast bar so he can watch her work. He loves watching her cook, and will not waist this opportunity. Plus the jeans she's wearing show off her hips and bum nicely so Fitz enjoying the view.
"Eyes up Fitzgerald," Elizabeth scolds, catching him gawking at Olivia's derriere. Fitz turns red in embarrassment but still keep his eyes on his Livy. Olivia knows he's watching and adds an extra sway in her hips. Elizabeth flings a towel, smacking her behind.
"Mam," Olivia cries out.
"Libby. I see what your doing getting that fine man to notice you. Now enough with booty shaking. I don't need HIM in here messing up my kitchen. No man in my kitchen unless I ask for help. You got me Child," her Godmother scolds. "I don't need him in here all up in your Sweet Tea right now."
"Mammy," Olivia buries her head in a towel, hiding flush cheeks. Fitz stifles back a laugh.
"Honey if he was MY MAN, I'd let him have an entire picture of Sweet tea and anything else he wants," winking at Fitz who blushes even more.
"Elizabeth," her Uncle Bernard shouts. "Will you stop embarrassing Fitz and OUR God-Daughter! You keep this up he'll never invite us to the White House." Elizabeth raises her eyes at his comment but Fitz gives her a reassuring grin that she's has nothing to worry about. Elizabeth and Olivia get back to work finishing up dinner prep before her first guest arrives.
About thirty minutes later, Louis hears a car pulling into the driveway. He nods over to Elizabeth who is still working in the kitchen with Olivia. "Livy dear," tapping her shoulder. "You best hide those agents and Fitzgerald. Your partner in crime as arrived."
"She's here," she squeals in delight, running to the window. "Oh my Gosh," now jumping up and down. "She did make it." She quickly turns to Stephen and Mitch. "I know you need to do your Secret Service thing but can it wait till after she meets Fitz. Please?"
Mitch looks at Stephen who's his superior. "Sir it's your call."
Stephen gazes out the window and sees Olivia's best friend. They have been "besties" since childhood and Stephen knew who she was. They met when Olivia and Stephen attended college long ago, so Stephen remembers her. "Yes she's clear." He then turns to Olivia. "We got word from your father that she would be coming so technically she's fine to be around The President. The Secret Service cleared her prior to today."
Olivia grins at Stephen giving him a hug. "Thank Stevie," making Stephen blush. She blew a kiss to her father and rushes over to Fitz. "Go and hide in my bedroom." Fitz raises his eyes. "Come on go. Karen and Jerry go with your Dad. I'll come and get you, after she comes in."
Fitz, Karen and Jerry laugh at Olivia's excitement. Once securely in the back of the house, Olivia rushes outside to her best friend. The "girls" squeal when they see each other. "Oh my god you really came."
"I was told by your Dad I HAD to come home and meet this man you are dating. He wouldn't tell me anything though," her friends nudges her arm walking into her house. "Plus it's been over a year since I came up here so it was time. I felt horrible missing Christmas."
"It's okay," Olivia takes her coat. Louis, Elizabeth and Bernard come over and give Olivia's friend a welcome hug.
She starts to look around the room and notices Stephen and Mitch. "Oh my God are you dating Stephen?"
Stephen walks over giving her a hug. "Nope. But I am getting married," explaining to their newest visitor. Her friend jumps in excitement and begins to wonder where Olivia's mystery man is hiding.
After a few more questions, Olivia goes into the back and brings out Karen and Jerry. "Karen and Jerry this is my best friend," making the introductions.
"Girl you dating a white guy," her friend blurts out, without a filter. Karen and Jerry laugh and shake her hand. After she gets a closer look, Olivia's friend asks, "Wait have we met?"
"Um no Ma'am," Karen giggles. "We have of those familiar faces. Go get Dad Lib's. I am sure he's pacing back there."
Olivia huffs leaving Karen and Jerry to chat. She enters the room and sees Fitz pacing in circles. He stops feeling her presence and takes her hands. "Just be yourself and she'll love you," cradling his face into her hands. She brings his face down so their foreheads can touch. He exhales allowing her to calm is nerves.
"Liv she's your best friend. If she hates me I'm screwed," Fitz laments.
"Fitz she's not going to hate you," smiling softly. "Hell I think she voted for you," hoping to give him some reassurance. Fitz raises his eye brows letting out a labored breath. "Look she's going to love you. I've known her since I was seven years old. Hell our grandfathers were distant cousins. You have nothing to worry about," kissing his lips quickly.
"But she's your best friend Liv." Olivia hears the concern in his voice warming her heart. "I am more nervous now than when I gave the State of the Union. I am going to be a basket case by the time your brother and sister show up with their spouses. I don't think I can do this." She hears the panic in his voice and suppresses a giggle. "Liv this is NOT funny."
"Oh Fitz," wrapping her arms around his neck. "Just go out there and show my bestie, and the rest of my family WHO YOU ARE and the man I FELL in love with."
"So you love me huh," kissing her nose.
"Yes Mr. President but you already know that," rolling her eyes.
"I do," wrapping his arms around her lifting her off the ground. He leans into kiss her but hears her friend calling for Olivia to hurry up and why all this secrecy. Fitz places her gently on the floor and she wipes her lipstick off his face. She runs her hands across his clothes and assures him that he'll be great.
They take hands and begin the walk to where her friend and now her mother's older sister, Caroline is waiting. Fitz remembers Adelyn's older sister and it grateful she is nothing like her. Caroline is sweet, kind and generous. She never met Fitz, and he's not even sure if she knows he is the owner of Rose Point.
"Why all this fuss," she hears from her Aunt Caroline, speaking to her best friend. "It's not like our Libby is dating the President of the United States," looking at Karen and Jerry.
"Actually," they hear out of Olivia, who is now standing with Fitz in the room. "I kind of am."
"HOLY FREAKING SHIT," Olivia's best friend Lynn screams at the top of her lungs. "HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! GIRL, YOU DATING THE PRESIDENT!"
"Yes," Olivia answers wrapping her arm around Fitz's torso.
"Oh my goodness," her Aunt Caroline breathes out with her hand over her heart. She walks up to them before Lynn has a chance to. "Liv if I had known would have dressed for this meeting," fixing her outfit. "Nice to meet you Sir."
"It's Fitz," shaking her aunt's hand. He stares at her intently for a moment. Olivia resembles Caroline a great deal. He kisses Olivia brow. "You look like her."
Olivia smiles. "Yes she does," Caroline replies. "Oh for the record am NOTHING like my little sister," referring to Adelyn. "I heard about their fight and I am assuming it's due to you," looking at Fitz.
"Yes," Fitz answers. Olivia is now attempting to calm Lynn down. She is overwhelmed meeting Fitz and hopes to sooth her worries that right now he's not the President. He is just a "normal" guy and dating her best friend. But more than that, he is the man that is in love with her best friend.
He walks over to her best friend Lynn. "Nice to meet you," he looks at Oliva who grins and nods. "Lynn."
"Hi," Lynn squeaks. "Um it's a pleasure Mr. President."
"It's Fitz…" he pauses feeling Olivia walk beside him squeezing his hand, easing his fears. Out of everyone he was meeting today, he wanted to make a good first impression on her. Lynn and Olivia had been best friends since they were seven. He knew how much she valued her friendship and support.
"That would be inappropriate," Lynn shyly replies.
"Don't be appropriate. We are NOT at The White House or in the Oval Office," flashing her the biggest smile. "Please it's just Fitz here," giving Olivia a kiss on her cheek. Lynn's eyes widen. "I insist."
She nods but she cannot call him Fitz yet. Lynn then turns to Olivia, and places her hands on her arms. "WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME LIBBY! We have been best friends our entire lives."
"I….," Olivia stammers. "Didn't you see me at the State of the Union?"
"No I had to work," but pauses and remembers Fitz's interview which she watched. "The interview," Fitz and Olivia nod. "Holy Christ. He was talking about you. YOU ARE THE WOMAN IN WHITE!"
"Yes," blushing Olivia falls into Fitz's arms, even more embarrassed.
"Dammit Libs you could have at least given me a warning," Lynn pokes her. Olivia jumps at her playful jab.
"I wanted to surprise you Pookie," dropping her nickname in front of Fitz.
Lynn blushes, and mouths "Oh no you didn't…," ready to hurt her.
"Wait this is Pookie," Fitz looks Lynn and she blushes even more. In their phone conversations Olivia talked about this Pookie person and he just realized it was Lynn.
"I could kill you Lib's," grumbling under her breath. "You just wait for him to leave," shaking her finger in her face.
Fitz reaches out and brings Lynn to his other side giving her a light squeeze. Her heart hammers in her chest. She can't believe she's in his arms. Fitz looks down at her. "Actually you can't. She under protection of the Secret Service. Sorry you'll have to go through them, and then me."
"I'll remember that," glaring at Olivia.
Fitz releases her and kisses Olivia before heading off to talk to Karen and Jerry. After the excitement begins to die down and everyone relaxes, Olivia sees her brother and sister's cars pull up her driveway. Louis notices and grabs his coat to meet them outside. She glances to Fitz. "Do I need to hide again," grumbling.
"Nah," Bernard answers. "Louis will bring them in. Just sit there facing away from the door with Olivia, Karen and Jerry. Act like your part of the family."
"He is part of the family Bernard," Elizabeth answers coming into the room. "If Olivia doesn't want him, I'm sure someone in this family will gladly take him."
"Nope Mam," Olivia sits in his lap. "Fitz IS MINE." She nuzzles herself into his arms.
"Wouldn't have it any other way," whispering into her ear. "Just wait till we're alone."
"Ew...filter guys," Karen and Jerry chime together.

Sibling Rivalry…
The entireroom begins to laugh as Louis enters the house with Olivia's older brother, sister and their spouses. Olivia stands up to greet them, walking up to each giving them a warm embrace. "So who is this man we're meeting today," her brother Joseph asks first, wrapping his arm around Olivia, still not seeing Fitz.
The room laughs. Olivia's smiles but doesn't say anything. Her sister Maya, grumbles. "Yah who is this guy. We both got calls from the Government and I swear I saw people walking around the perimeter of the house. They look like the FBI or something," now seeing Stephen and Mitch standing off to the corner in the room.
"Actually guys," Olivia pauses standing next to her brother, sister and their spouses. "They're not the FBI."
"Well what the hell then," Joseph groans walking in front of the breakfast bar, not noticing Fitz. "Liv our cars were searched coming up the street. Who is this guy?"
"This guy is me," Fitz states in a commanding tone, with Karen and Jerry.
"Holy Hell," Maya screams, with her sister in law Regina. "Olivia!"
"What the…," Joseph and his brother law Dalton speak at the same time.
"Sis…that's the President of the United States and his kids," Joseph gulps. Olivia nods walking up to her brother.
"Yes Joe it is," giving him a quick kiss and shoulder tap before going to stand by Fitz and the kids.
Fitz reaches his hand out and brings her to his side. He kisses her quickly, sending the four new arrivals into gasps, "Oh My God's," and curse words to cause Elizabeth to come into the room and scold them all.
"YOU'RE DATING THE PRESIDENT," her brother in law Dalton shouts next. "Holy cow. Dang Liv that is freaking cool as fuck." Maya stands next to him and then smacks him on the back of the head. "Ouch."
"You don't curse in front of the President you idiot," Maya smiles but is clearly embarrassed by her husband's outburst.
"No worries," Fitz answers. "I've heard worse in the Oval." Fitz nods to Olivia and walks over to Joseph, Regina, Dalton and Maya. "Nice to meet you all. Livy has told me so much about you." He then looks to Regina and Maya. "Congrats on the new babies coming."
Their eyes grow wide as they touch their growing bellies. "Um thank you sir," Maya squeaks.
"Call him Fitz dears," Elizabeth answers for Fitz. "We're not at the White House."
Maya, Regina, Dalton and Joseph stare at one another unsure. "Really please it's just Fitz here. I'm not the President." Fitz grins hearing a "bull shit" from Lynn on the couch. Olivia chuckles grabbing everyone something to drink. "Right now I am JUST the man who is dating and is in LOVE with your sister," voicing in a tone causing the entire room to melt.
He hears "aww" from all the ladies and notices Olivia blushing. She is setting the table for Elizabeth. Fitz nods to Karen and Jerry and they take their cue to help. Elizabeth is thankful and once this next level of excitement is over, dinner is ready. Everyone is called to the table as Louis and Bernard help bring the dishes out.
Once the entire room has sat down, Louis is asked to say "Grace." He thought about asking Fitz but ops against it, feeling bad how much he's been in the spotlight already. Fitz grins seeing the thought appear on his face, but is grateful he doesn't ask. He takes Olivia hand in his and reaches for Lynn's next to him. Louis gives the blessing and everyone begins to eat.
As the group settles into their meal, Fitz is finally asked by Joseph how he came to be with his "Baby" sister he stresses. "Joseph come on," Olivia scolds him. "I am not a baby."
Fitz squeezes her hand. He realizes he is only doing this to rile her up and means no harm. But he hates anyone upsetting her. Fitz is an outsider to Olivia's family, and is not familiar of her relationships with her siblings. However he refuses to allow anyone to disrespect her in HIS presence.
He looks across the table to Louis who grins wickedly. Joseph constantly teases Olivia, and it is a welcome sight to see someone who will go to bat for her and win. Fitz turns his head to Joseph, but does not speak a word. Her brother sees the stern look he is now getting from Fitz. Fitz eyes grow large, and as their eyes lock in on the other.
Joseph recoils in his chair, and Regina stifles laugh. She mouths a "thank you" to Fitz, who responds with a silent "no problem." Maya winks at her sister. She is sitting on Olivia's other side. She leans over and whispers, "Not bad Sis. I definitely approve."
"Thanks," Olivia whispers. She notices her sister touching her stomach, hoping her future niece or nephew is moving. She lays her hand on her own stomach, and closes her eyes. A gleeful smile appears on her face, which takes no time to get noticed by the ladies at the table. Elizabeth winks at Fitz, who looks over to Olivia.
He reaches behind her chair, and slides closer. He leans down, "Soon."
Olivia catches is loving gaze and blushes. She leans into his chest. He kisses the top of her head. Karen and Jerry grin as they eat their food loving seeing their Dad so happy. With both Olivia's sister and sister in law pregnant, they can imagine one day a new "Grant" being added to their own family.
"So, how did you manage to snag the most Powerful Man in the World," Maya teases her sister. It is then she realizes it her sister's Christmas wish that made this happen. "Your wish?"
"Yes," Fitz answers as he explains how Olivia's students got him to come home to Rose Point and to Olivia's class. Fitz spoke lovingly about his first reaction to her in the video, the letters, and realizing that Olivia was the Little Apple Dress Girl. Her family knew of the photo but did not realize it was Fitz that she had met that faithful day.
He left nothing out. He recounted when she passed out when she first saw him in her class. "Really Liv you passed out," Lynn teases her.
"I did. Fitz caught me," Olivia felt her face heat up with embarrassment.
"Oh please say you have this on video," Joseph asks next.
"I believe we do," Fitz answers for Olivia whose head is now buried against his chest. He's holding her close, loving the feel of her in his arms, in front of her family. He never experienced this type of family closeness before and he relishes in it. "Maybe after dinner…,"
"Don't even think about it Mr. President," Olivia grumbles as she looks up and locks her eyes with his. Fitz gulps and kisses her nose. "Fitz," she squeaks. "Really."
"Sorry," he nonchalantly replies. Her family asks him a few more questions while the table is cleared. Everyone helps clean the kitchen and in no time it is spotless. Olivia notices Maya and Regina beginning to yawn. It is decided that it is best to skip dessert. Olivia slices some of the cake she made to send home with Joseph, Maya and their spouses.
Once coats are on, they say their goodbyes to Olivia especially Fitz and the kids. Fitz mentions a White House family visit. He would to do it before Maya and Regina have their babies, which are due in June and July. Olivia whispers, "White House Easter Egg Hunt," and he grins. Olivia will discuss with everyone later and they leave.
Her Aunt Caroline is next to leave. "It's a pleasure..," she pauses unable to call him Fitz. "I don't understand why my sister kept you apart. She was wrong. Anything you need please don't hesitate to call me. You're a good man," Caroline grasps his hand in both of her.
"Thank you Caroline," Fitz genuinely responds. "Please come to the White House with Liv for a visit when you get a chance. Just don't mention anything…,"
"To my sister," Caroline interrupts. Fitz nods in appreciation. "Maybe one day she'll see the error of her ways in keeping you both apart." Fitz is partially surprised Adelyn mentioned anything to her but he is grateful she is on their side. She walks over to Olivia and gives her a goodbye hug. Caroline states she'll see her soon and is on her way.
By now Lynn is ready to go. She is in Vermont till Tuesday and decides to spend the day with Olivia helping her in her classroom. Lynn is eager to meet the students who brought her best friend and the Leader of the Free World together. She will be spending the night at her parent's house but will be back in the morning.
Lynn squeezes Olivia hard and turns to Fitz. "See you soon Sir."
"It's Fitz," he corrects.
"Next time. Give me a few okay," Lynn pleads. "I've have to get used to the idea that my best friend is dating The President," winking at them both. "But when I do, you'll never be rid of me." Fitz chuckles and watches as the best friends say their goodbyes.
After Lynn's departure, Elizabeth, Bernard and Louis decide head out. They can all see that Olivia and Fitz would like to spend some quite time alone with the kids and then turn in. Fitz and the kids leave tomorrow morning on Marine One and it will be hard on everyone. Louis asks Olivia if she wants him to come tomorrow morning. "No Dad Lynn and Tom will be here."
"Okay," Louis replies. He kisses his daughter goodbye and he leaves with Bernard and Louis. When it is finally just Fitz, Karen, Jerry and Olivia they watch a movie until everyone falls asleep watching. Karen and Jerry wake up when it's over and head to their "rooms." Once Fitz hears that the movie is over, he turns the TV off.
He knows Karen and Jerry went to bed, and he scoops up Olivia, carrying her to bed. She wakes as they enter her room and walks sleepily to the bathroom to change. Fitz is already in bed waiting. As she nuzzles into him both are out quickly dreading his departure tomorrow morning.

Come With Me…
At six in the morning, Fitz's alarm begins to ring. He has an hour before Marine One will be touching down to bring back him and the kids to the White House. The mere thought of leaving Olivia breaks his heart into a million pieces. He begins to squeeze her tighter under the covers, unable to let her go. She stirs against his chest, feeling Fitz losing control of his emotions.
She open her eyes and props herself up to look into his eyes. All she sees is sadness, regret, and his need to be by her side. Olivia kisses his tears away, and nestles her face against his. "I love you," she coos against his skin. "I'll be here waiting for you okay."
"Liv?" Fitz voice is hoarse from keeping his sadness at bay. If he had known that leaving her would have been this difficult, Fitz would have brought her home to DC with him. He makes many difficult decisions as President, but none of them have compared to leaving the love of your life behind. He knows she'll be here in Vermont, but all he wants is for them to be together.
She pulls away and stares into his deep blue eyes. "You'll see me for the Valentine's Day interview in two weeks okay. If the weather holds out," she explains.
"Olivia," he groans, hating the thought that she could not make it.
"Fitz it's Vermont, and we in the middle of the winter. Anything could happen. If I can't make it, you have to do the interview without me. Just know I'll be by your side no matter what," holding his face so he can't look away.
"I need you Livy," he states with conviction. "I don't want to leave you."
"I don't want you to go either," she finally voices. She hates keeping things from him. It hurts both of them more.
"Come home with me," he pleads with tears in his eyes. Olivia sighs and does not want to have this conversation right now. Of course she wants to but it's not possible. She cannot leave her students. They need her just as much as Fitz. She slides away from him in the bed before he can stop her. "Livy," he whimpers.
"Get in the shower and I'll start breakfast," she instructs. She's barely holding it together and if they have this talk, she'll lose it for sure. If he cannot be strong, then she need to be for both of them.
"Liv," he croaks, aching to hold her just a tad bit longer.
She walks to him and kisses him quickly. "I love you Fitz. Go shower. I need to get Karen and Jerry up," holding his face. "It's going to be fine," she reassures him as she walks away and closes the door. He slowly gets out of bed and jumps in the shower. Thirty minutes later he's out, and finds her in the kitchen making breakfast.
She feels his presence and pours him a cup of coffee. Just as she reaches for the sugar he's behind her. He is towering over her, and his body is pressed against her. "Got any sugar," making her giggle like a school girl.
"Only for you Mr. President," she turns around facing him with a seductive smile. He's holding the container of sugar grinning finally. "I'll never give my sugar to ANY man but you."
He places the sugar on the counter and pulls her with force into his arms. "Good, because I just love how sweet you taste," growling into her ear. Her legs grow weak in the lust she hears in his voice. He is about to kiss her hard, but Karen and Jerry appear breaking them up. They quickly finish breakfast as Marine One's sound is heard in the distance.
Lynn and Tom arrive just as it touches down at Rose Point. Olivia assists Fitz in fixing his tie, suit jacket, flag pin and suit coat. Once he is ready to go, along with the kids, they head up to Rose Point. Olivia is on the verge of tears the closer they become to the helicopter. Lynn grasps her hand as they finally stop. She hugs her quickly and stands back with Tom.
Karen and Jerry say goodbye and promise to call her later that night. "We'll see you for OUR family interview" they remind her.
"I know," is all she replies. She hugs them tightly and watches them board Marine One. When she turns to Fitz he is on the verge of coming apart in front of her. She out stretches her hand for him to take. He quickly holds it and they walk to the base of the steps of the chopper. She fixes his tie, scarf, and finally meets his eyes. "Fitz?"
"Come home with me," leaning his head against hers. "I don't want to be there without you Livy." The sadness and longing in his voice is her undoing.
"Fitz, I'm not ready," she attempts to explain. "We both know it to be the case."
"I don't want to leave you," allowing his tears to cascade down his cheeks.
She sniffles, and throws herself into his arms. With her arms wrapped around his neck, Fitz holds her tightly against his body. He sobs into her neck, allowing her to comfort him. She runs her hands over his shoulders, and hoping to sooth Fitz. He murmurs into her neck as her hands find his curls. The moment Fitz feels her fingers in his hair, he stops.
Finally Olivia mutters, "You're not leaving me," now gazing into his eyes. "I'll be right here waiting for you."
"And then," he asks with his voice filled with hope. "When I come back to get you, what happens?"
She smiles. "And then Mr. President, you'll take me home," cupping her hands over his heart.
Fitz leans down and kisses her before he boards Marine One. "Stay here. Wait for me," he states with a voice filled with his undying love for her.
"Always," Olivia murmurs as he releases her. As he climbs the steps, he clings to her hand until he must release her fingers. Once on Marine One Fitz takes his seat next to Karen and Jerry. Olivia walks back to Lynn and Tom. They watch the helicopter lifts into the sky. Her phone chimes and she sees a text from Fitz.
"STAY OFF THE ROOF," causing her to laugh.
She turns around and blows him a kiss. She sends a text back. "Frog." Fitz laughs remembering Cyrus calling him and Olivia "The Princess and the Frog." They continue to watch each other until both are no in sight, hoping to be back in each other's arms soon.

And the Princess and Frog will survive their separation until they see each other again. (Ugly Cries)
I know I am sure you are all not happy but our two love birds will be fine. I swear. I will not break them up. They just have to be separate for a while. Don't worry they'll get their happy ending but it will take a while.
So I hope to post this before Scandal aired, but I couldn't edit it in time. So I hope this makes your weekend.
