Chapter 11
Angela POV
When I opened my eyes, I was standing in front of a glass door. I smile. I recognize this door. This is the door to the Dream World. My ears flicked and my tail waved in excitement. I open the door and was blinded by a bright light.
I found myself standing in a room. The walls were white and I saw a white table with a chair on each side. I start to pace the room, unsure of what to do, until something covered my eyes. "What the-" I said before the something shushed me. "It's only me." The something covering my eyes disappeared and I turned around, only to see that little special someone. "How are you holding up, Kitty-Kat?" He asked with a smile.
"I'm doing alright." I said happily. "How about you?" He shrugged. "The only thing missing is you."
"Aw that's sweet." I wrapped my arms around his neck and lightly kissed him. "How much did you miss me?"
"What kind of question is that?" He asked before he kissed me. "Of course I missed you."
This day just got better. Not only did I have a Christmas party with the Guardians, I get to see Odd in the Dream World. What bad thing could happen?
All of a sudden, the walls got darker. Odd and I looked around to hear people laughing. Evil people laughing. The room was black and the laughing got louder. "Odd I'm scared." I said as I strayed closer to him. He petted my ears. "It'll be okay." He reassured. "I'm here with you."
He pulls me closer before I kiss him. Hands appear from the darkness. They grabbed me and started to drag me away. There were some holding Odd back as he tried to save me. I stretch out my hand.
"Kitty-Kat."
Another hand grabs my arm and pulls it back. Odd gives me a smile. "I know you'll come back." A tear rolled down my face. "You promised didn't you?"
"Yeah. I did say that." I said. "Until we meet again."
And then, I was dragged into darkness(What is this!? Kingdom Hearts!?).
I woke up while staring at the ceiling. I turned on my side and saw Ikuto sleeping beside me. I let out an unsurprising sigh as I snap my fingers, and he was back to where he belonged. Good thing I Chara Changed with Marci before I went to sleep.
(Since I'm lazy like that, I'm gonna skip to the end of school)
It's been a long time since I've visited the Dream World. Now it's Spring and that means the end of school. As I walked out of the school building, I saw cherry blossoms flying everywhere. "It's so pretty." Aura said.
"And pretty cool too." said Ringo. "This is our first time seeing cherry blossoms."
"It sure is." said Marci.
"Hey Angela, you want to come shopping with us?" asked Amu-chan. I nodded before my phone rang. "Just a minute." I said before seeing that it was Angel. As soon as I answered it, she just started screaming. "Damn Angel chill out. Take a deep breath and tell me what's going on."
Ten seconds later, I almost dropped my phone. "You've gotta be kidding." I almost yelled. "It's too early."
"Dad said you better get down here." I nodded before hanging up. "Sorry Amu-chan. Family business."
"Is it about your mom?" asked Rima. I nodded before Yaya started to squeal. "Aw Angel-chi's gonna be a big sister." She almost yelled.
"Keep us posted-dechu." said Pepe. I nodded before running home.
"What's up?"
I saw Ikuto in a tree. "Not now Ikuto." I said.
"We're very busy so leave us alone." said Aura.
"How come-nya?" asked Yoru. I got another call. This one was from Angelica. "Ange where the hell are you!?"
"Don't worry." I almost screamed at her. "I'm on my way." I hung up. "You see? Now get lost!" He shrugged while jumping back in the tree and I made my way home.
I saw an ambulance drive away and saw the others. "Ange where were you!?" asked Angel.
"I got stalled." I said before jumping in Andrew's car. "How's Mom?"
"How should we know?" Andrew asked. "Dad wouldn't let us get near her."
If you're wondering how old our mom is, she's a bit old. Andrew was born when she was 24 and he's three years older than Angel and Angelica, who are twins, and they're both four years older than me.
(Damn it. Now I need a calculator. Wait I'm thinking. . . . . . . . . . Their mom is 45. Holy crap she's old. Do the math people. I swear to God I got 45)
After we got to the hospital, Dad forced us to stay in the car. Why did he do that I wonder. But we ignored his order and ran out of the car. Obviously, I was the last one. I step back with wide eyes. "What's wrong?" asked Angel.
"Don't you guys smell that?" I asked while placing a hand over my mouth.
"What are you talking about?" asked Andrew.
"I smell blood. And it's coming from Mom."
They froze then turned to the door. "What's that mean?" asked Angelica.
"I don't know." I replied. "But I do know that only one will survive."
"Wait what do you mean only one?" I hug Andrew. "We either gain a member of our family, or lose one. They both can't survive."
We all ran inside and headed down the hallway. "Is this true or is this what your gut is telling you?" asked Angel.
"I don't know." I said. "But either both survive or one dies. For now, let's hope that Mom is okay."
We waited for what seemed like hours, the smell of blood getting stronger, yet no one but me can sense it. "Oh God I can smell it." Angelica covered her nose along with Angel. "Wait, what are you doing, Marci?"
Marci was chanting something, but I didn't know what. When she was finished, she turned to us. "I heard about what you said earlier." She said. "About one dying, but I don't wan either of them to die."
"So you cast a spell on Mom to keep her alive?" I asked.
"The spell will wear off at midnight." She said. "Let's just hope your new sibling is born before then, because that's what's killing her."
It was 10:00, and Marci was conjuring up another spell. I force myself to stay awake, until my phone woke me up. Odd was calling. My siblings shook their heads no.
I'm sorry Odd. I have alot of things on my mind.
I let my phone ring until the voice-mail took over. And at last, the door opened and we all stood up to see Dad. He smiled, making us smile. "Marci your spell worked." I said happily.
"But."
We stayed silent. "It'll take a while for your Mom to recover."
"Who cares?" asked Angel. "She's alive isn't she? That's all that matters." Angelica almost slapped her. "You're missing someone. Dad what about the baby?" He nodded, and we almost cheered. Dad opened the door wider and we all squeezed in the room, but my older siblings landed in a pile. I stepped over them and laughed. "Well where is he?" I asked.
"You mean she."
Sorry Andrew but you're still the only male sibling. We heard a small cry and looked up. Our new little sister looks a lot like me, but she has green eyes like Andrew. The only surprise is what we saw on her head: white cat ears. That must mean she has a tail too. "Well I didn't want this one to be exactly like Angela." said Mom. What she said offended me. I can't help being like this.
"But. . . . . I can live with it."
I breathed a sigh of relief. This one won't go through the Hell I've had to live with. "So does anyone have an idea on what her name should be?" Angel blurted out. Angelica was about to say something until she said "I got nothing."
"Neither do we." said Angel and Andrew. I thought to myself. "What about Angie? Will that work? After all it's our family tradition. Every Jackson child name must start with AN."
"You have a point." said Angelica. "I think that could work."
"Yeah nice one, Ange." said Angel. My eyes trail to my little sister. I thought if she had the cat traits, the color would be black, like mine. I guess I was wrong.
My family is part of a clan that are a disgrace to the world. We are called Nekomimi and we have been hunted down for generations. My siblings and I are the descendants of this clan, although me and Angie are the only ones with the ears and tail. I haven't told this to anybody, not the Guardians, not the Lyoko Warriors, not even Odd, the one I love most in the world.
I'll tell them someday. After we escape Hell.
Me: I finally finished this chapter. As I said, I'm really lazy to write some stuff. So anyway what do you think of the Jackson family being part of a destroyed clan? I wasn't really gonna expose all of Angela's dirty secrets in the first book. So until next time, stay tuned.
