11- Splashin Rain
At Reefside High`s parking lot
"It is really kind of you Dr Mercer, but I´ll drive my own car" Kim politely rejected Dr. Mercer´s offering "Please Ms Hart let me express you my gratitude for worrying
about me today" He insisted
"It´s not necessary, actually it was nothing, anyone would have acted the same way" Kim said passing him by. She got on her car and Dr. Mercer felt frustrated.
In that moment the four dino power rangers walked out from school
"Can anyone explain me what´s wrong with Dr Mercer? One time he´s explaining something and the next is rushing away and disappears, later he returns and
continues the lesson as if nothing happens" Conner sighed.
"Yeah he´s kind of weird, isn´t he?" Kira asked cocking her head to Trent, who stopped as he saw Dr Mercer in the parking lot
"Oh, I think I forgot my cell phone at the classroom" Trent sighed "See you later at the Cyberspace" He told his friends and walked inside again.
At Mesogog´s Fortress
Finster surveyed the throne room all around to make sure he was completely alone, then tiptoed to the back of Mesogog´s throne where he opened a door in the
wall. He did it very carefully; however a lot of stuff fell over him making too much noise. After he grabbed Rita´s staff a bunch of tyrannodrones showed up. Finster
escaped and the they followed him. When he got to a corner turned left instead of right, so he got lost at the big fortress and got to the end of a corridor. He was
trapped.
Finster closed his eyes and stretched the staff in front of him pointing at the tyrannodrones. "Please do something" He muttered almost like saying a pray and a blast
of energy emerged from the staff smashing against Mesogog´s creatures who started to dance. They went away dancing all the time.
In another room of the fortress Mesogog paced . Elsa walked in "I found a dino egg, I think it is a Pteranodon" She reported
"So what? what do you want me to do about?" Mesogog yelled startled "Sent some tyrannodrones to pick it up!" He ordered. He was in a very bad temper more than
usual.
At Reefside
Kim got to Tommy´s and rang the doorbell, she waited for ten minutes but no one answered, so she decided to try the back garage door of the Dino lab.
"Hey beautiful, everything is fine?" Tommy, who was sat at the main computer, asked.
"Yeap" kim answered walking over to him
"Why did you use the back door?" He asked
"Well I was aging at the main door" She answered
"Oh sorry, I didn´t hear the doorbell from here, Haley left to the cyberspace and Billy is taking a bath" He apologized
"It´s okay" She said placing the supermarket bags she was carrying onto a table and then sat down beside Tommy,
"Working or having fun?" She asked
"Both, I was looking for a Dino Egg" Tommy answered
"You´re spending too much time with Billy or you have forgotten the meaning of fun" Kim teased him
"No, It´s a long story" He said laughing. "Do you want to know who is spending too much time with Billy?, Haley" He stated
"Really? What about Cestria?" Kim asked
"I don´t wanna ask" Tommy answered
"Anyway we have bigger problems, my mother called" Kim said taking her head with both hands
"How is she?" Tommy asked
"She was mad because I haven´t phoned, and then freaked out when I told her I broke up with Sam and I was living in Reefside" Kim said
"And guess what, she is coming for Christmas" Kim face turned worried
"I am glad that you spend Christmas with your mom" Tommy sighed
"Yeah me too it´s not that I don´t want to see my mom, but I wanted to spend this Christmas with you and the others" She said
"Hi mom, I hope you don´t mind the Black Dino power ranger joins us for Christmas" Tommy teased and she cackled.
"The worst part is that my mother would have liked it to see us together" Kim sighed
"Yes, your mother used to like me" Tommy said
"Tell me about it, I was the one who had to deal with her speech when she knew I had dumped you" Kim said standing up "She scolded me as if I was a child"
"Well I´m going to cook dinner" Kim said "Great!" Tommy sighed
At Tommy´s bathroom
Billy was relaxing into the bath all covered by foam when a big bubble emerged and Cestria´s face reflected on it.
"It´s good to see that you´re taking a break, I miss you, Why haven´t you messaged me?" Cestria asked
"Cestria Hi" Billy said startled "I´ve been very busy at the lab, I´m sorry"
"How long are you planning to stay?" she asked
"I don´t know, we still don´t know what is wrong with Tommy"
"And how is he?" Cestria asked
"He is in good mood, but I´m starting to worry" Billy explained
"I hope you can demorph him soon and be here for Christmas" Cestria sighed "Bye" and the bubble blew up.
At Reefside´s park Ethan, Conner and Kira were walking through when a bunch of tyrannodrones showed up.
They stood in fight stance but the tyrannodrones didn´t fight them, they were dancing among themselves instead.
The teenagers looked at each other in confusion and then decided to ignore them and continued their way.
At Tommy´s Kitchen, Kimberly, Tommy and Billy were having dinner
"Tomorrow we are running some new tests on you" Billy told Tommy
"Oh man I´m tired of those tests, I really want all this to reach an end" Tommy complained
"You´re not the only one" Billy sighed and his friends looked at him in wonder "Cestria keeps asking me when I´m going back" Billy said
"But she understands that you´re helping a friend, doesn´t she?" Kim asked narrowing her eyes.
The telephone rang and Tommy went to the living room to pick up the call
"Yeah, she does, but she wants me in Aquitar the sooner as possible" Billy answered.
At the Cyberspace
"Hey guys I have to ask you something" Haley called Kira, Ethan, Trent and Conner
"I need you to find the way to get Devin´s camera back from Randal" Haley said
"Why would we help Cassidy and Devin?" Kira asked "I´m sick of those two questioning Where is Dr O?" She said in a duh tone
"I know that tyrannodrones had tried to get that camera before, this is not for Devin or Cassidy, we need to know why that camera is so important" Haley explained.
"That means we have to break into Randal´s office" Ethan stated
"We need a good distraction then" Trent said
At Tommy´s Kitchen
"Besides you have to stay for Christmas, everybody is gonna be here" Kim told Billy
"Yes, I´m staying but I haven´t told her yet" Billy sighed as he splashed the water over his shirt. "Oh, damn it!"
"It was my mom, my parents are coming for Christmas" Tommy informed walking in
"Yeah, everybody is going to be here" Billy said turning to Kim who handed him in a towel
"What are we going to do?" Kim asked
"We´d better demorph you before Christmas, because we don.t have a B plan" Billy said. "Well I´d better go I promised Haley I would help her to close the
Cyberspace" Billy said walking to the door.
Kim rested her chin over her hands thoughtfully.
"I think things are going to become watery between Cestria and Billy" Tommy sighed and Kim laughed
At Mesogog´s Fortress
"Finster finally!" Rita sighed when she saw Finster with the staff walking over to her cell "This place is giving me a headache!" she yelled.
But Finster couldn´t make the staff get through the narrow space between bars and Rita found it difficult to grab it with her hands handcuffed.
"Okay Finster I want you to focus and point the staff towards the handcuffs, then you shake it a little bit" Rita explained
"Are you sure your highness?" Goldar asked
"What is the worst that could happen?" Rita asked as Goldar and the other henchmen looked scared Finster did as his Queen said and a blast of energy emerged from
the staff wrapping them all and making them shrink until they were no taller than a thumb. The good news were that they had been set free from handcuffs and
could get through the bars of the cell, the bad news were that they could hurt not even a fly.
"Oh no! What I´ve done!" Finster sighed thinking he had made disappear his queen and his colleagues.
At another room of the fortress . . .
Tyrannodrones came in dancing with the dino egg.
"What´s the matter with you?" Elsa sighed
"Stop and give me the egg!" Mesogog ordered "I said stop!" He demanded and targeted his psionic mind power on them. They stopped dancing at once.
Mesogog took the egg in his hands and stared delightfully at it "I heard Tommy Oliver is not in town your highness"Elsa informed him
"I want this baby to grow up immediately!" He sighed
Later that night Haley locked the Cyberspace and Billy helped her to carry some stuff to the jeep.
"Thank you Billy you don´t really have to do this" Haley said
"I know but I want it to" Billy answered.
"Oh no, the tire´s flat" Haley sighed
Tommy drove Kim to her home. He pulled up his truck at Kim´s house.
They got off and he walked her to the entrance. They stood in front of the door staring at each other.
Tommy wished he could kiss her. He slowly leaned forward getting closer to her.
At the Cyberspace
Billy and Haley bent down at the same time to change the tire and their heads collided
"Ouch!" They sighed in unison
They stood straight again and Billy got closer to Haley to check if she was hurt. Suddenly the sky roared and flashed.
At Kim´s house
When Kim´s lips brushed Tommy´s black helmet it started raining. They stepped back and watched the sky.
"I think someone is behaving badly" Tommy teased
Tommy stared at Kim laughing while the splashing rain fell over her beautiful face.
At the Cyberspace
Billy hurried to change the tire. "Two scientists trying to change a tire in a rainy night, so pathetic" He sighed
"I´m having fun" Haley said
The following morning the rain hadn´t ceased. Conner, Kira and Trent walked along the crowded aisle of Reefside High.
Some students looked at them and muttered, others just laughed. They stood and looked at themselves looking for something weird that could caught everybody´s
attention but besides of the water draining through their clothes and hair, nothing else was wrong with them. And by the way they weren´t the only ones looking that
bad.
"It´s just me or everyone is looking at us like if we have come from the moon?" Conner asked
"Yeah you´re right" Trent agreed
"What´s so funny about being wet?" Kira asked
Conner´s date for Christmas Ball walked over to them crying, followed by her cheerleader crew.
"How could you do that to me?" She cried out to Conner who was clueless
"And you!" She turned to Kira, "You knew he was my date, but cheerleaders don´t forget that easy!" She warned Kira who stepped back in surprise
The cheerleader walked away crying followed by her friends.
"What´s the matter with her?" Kira sighed
"How long have you been dating that girl?" Trent asked Conner frowning
"Not even once, we were supposed to go to the Christmas ball together" Conner answered
"Guys you have to take a look at this!" Ethan ran towards them with his tablet.
"Someone shared this video on facebook" Ethan said and they watched the tablet´s screen. It was a video where Kira and Conner kissed in the soccer field the
Halloween night.
"What?" Conner and Kira sighed in unison
"Where did they get it?"Conner asked
"It´s obvious that it´s been tricked Conner!" Kira sighed and cocked her head to Trent, who glared at her and Conner, then walked away
"Trent wait!" Kira called out but he ignored her
"At first sight it does not seem to be tricked" Ethan said
"It is! You know it never happened" Kira yelled angrily
"Of course not, I think I would remember it" Conner said clueless
"Whoever did it is really good" Ethan sighed widening his eyes
Kira huffed and walked away so did Conner.
"Hey wait!" Ethan sighed but his friends ignored him
Meanwhile at the teachers´room
Kimberly was sat on a coach reading a leaflet when Dr Mercer walked over to her and sat down in the sofa next to her.
"Good morning Ms Hart" He said
"Good morning Dr Mercer" Kim answered lifting her eyes from the leaflet
"I didn´t know you were interested in medicine" Dr Mercer said
"Oh no, these leaflets are from Reefside Children´s Hospital, I´m intending to go with my students to sing Christmas carol for children" She explained excited
"What a good idea" Dr Mercer commented
"Some of the children have spent many Christmas at Hospital and would probably spend a lot of more, so maybe we can help to make this year a little bit different"
She said.
"If you would give me that sweet smile of you on Christmas day it would definitely make my day" He sighed and she blushed
"Um, If there is anything I can do to help you just let me know Ms Hart" Dr Mercer said
"Thank you" Kim answered
At the Dino lab Haley was working with the main computer and Billy was working on his laptop
"Tommy insisted that he saw some signals of a Dino egg around this area but I can´t find anything" Haley sighed and bent her head down to the keyboard
"I don´t get it, the last tests we ran on Tommy are okay" Billy sighed exhausted, he took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes
"Why don´t we go for an ice cream?" He asked cocking his head to Haley
Rain had stopped and it was turning sunny, Billy and Haley bought an ice cream and walked through the park
"Tommy was lucky to find a friend like you" Billy said
"No, I think I´m lucky, I´ve learnt a lot from him, not only about science, he is very intelligent but also a great human being" Haley said
"Yeah I know" Billy felt jealous of the way Haley spoke about Tommy, although he knew they were just friends.
"I´m so happy for him and Kim, he never stopped loving her" Haley said
"I think neither she did" Billy commented
"You´re staying for Christmas aren´t you?" Haley asked
"Yes sure, Are you celebrating with us or already have plans?" Billy asked
"No, but it is going to be a power rangers reunion so . . ." Haley answered and lowered her head
"Come on Haley, you are one of us" Billy sighed pushing her closer, in that moment the sprinklers turned on splashing over them. They ran away laughing.
At Reefside High Kimberly stood in front of her class with Aisha
"Good afternoon, today I want to introduce you my friend Aisha Campbell" Kimberly said pointed out to Aisha who was standing on her left
"She made the Christmas cards we´re delivering to children" Kim explained taking out a card from a big box on her desk
"I told her Christmas is green, red and golden, but she insisted on making them yellow" Kim said rolling her eyes.
"Come on Kim I drew green Christmas Trees and red candles" Aisha cried out
"Whatever, Aisha is going to rehearse with us, since she has a lovely voice" Kimberly informed her students "Where is Kira?" She asked frowning
The students shrugged
Kira and Conner were at Randal´s office with their arms folded and angry faces
"Why are you here?" He asked her
"When I got to my locker . . . " She started
At Reefside High. . .
Kira got to her locker and found out a broken heart stuck to it. She took it off and as she opened the door something exploded inside and splashed a green slime all
over her face, she took it off her eyes with both hands and then turned her head to the left from where she heard some laughs and saw the cheerleader having
fun of her and looking defiant. She walked over to them
"You are so simple minded that can´t see that the video has been tricked" Kira yelled so loud that blasted them away and also caused all lockers to open up.
Cheerleaders ended up lying on the floor with all their hair tangled up and looking at her scared.
Back at Randal´s office.
Conner laughed as he pictured the cheerleaders on the floor.
"And why are you here?" She asked him
"One of my team mates made a joke about us and called you freaky so I started a fight in the middle of history class"Conner explained
"Really? thank you" Kira said
"Hey! we are at Randal´s office" Conner sighed and they looked at each other
"The camera!" She sighed.
Conner stood up and stayed by the door spying through the keyhole while Kira searched for the camera.
She found it inside a drawer, she grabbed it and beneath the camera she saw a student´s file with Trent´s photo.
"I got it" She informed Conner
"Good!" He sighed
"Why does Randal keep Trent´s file apart?" Kira queried grabbing the file
"Who knows?" Conner answered
"What?" Kira sighed when she opened the file
"Put that back in the drawer she is coming" Conner said Kira got shocked when she read the file in which was written the full name of Trent Fernandez Mercer.
When Conner asked her twice to hurry up she put the file back inside the drawer and sat down in silence.
"Well, well, well, you can´t stop getting into trouble uh?" Randal told them walking in
"Ms Randal we had nothing to do with that video" Conner explained
"I don´t care about the video, your love life is not of my business but you´ll have to solve your problems outside school" Randal stated
"You´re going to stay on detention" Randal said
Conner found it weird Kira´s lack of reaction, she was in silence, arms folded and looking down to the floor.
One hour later Kimberly and Aisha got to Tommy´s and rang the doorbell, but no one answered so Kim asked Aisha to follow her and got into the basement by the
back door, as soon as they walked into they watched the computer screen, which showed Tommy, Trent and Ethan confronting a big flying dinosaur which was giving
them a hard time.
Kim walked over to the secret place and typed the key code "Grumble the magic elf" a drawer opened and she grabbed the pink bracelet.
"Kira, Conner can you read me?" Kim asked
Kira and Conner heard their bracelet´s alarm go off, but couldn´t answer as they were on detention classroom. They looked at each other and then to the teacher
who got his eyes fixed on them.
At the Dino lab
"Come on guys, where are you?" Kim muttered
"They need backup" Aisha said worried watching the screen
"I know, I know" Kim said waiting for an answer
"Well I think it´s time" Kim stated
"What time?" Aisha asked turning to her
"It´s morphing time" Kim answered and picked up her dino morpher, something fell from the drawer as she did.
Aisha picked up the small object from the floor, it was a golden ring. They looked at each other
"Is he proposing to you?" Aisha sighed eagerly
Kim shrugged "But if I don´t morph right now we´ll never know" she sighed
"Dino thunder power up, ha!" Kim yelled.
"Kim, I thought you said . . ." Tommy sighed in surprise when he saw the pink ranger
"I know what I said, but I couldn´t get the others" Kim told Tommy, "What do we have here?" Kim asked watching the skies
"It´s a pteranodon, which is a genus of pterosaurs, which included some of the largest known flying reptiles" Tommy explained
"Okay, I don´t need a science lesson right now" Kim sighed "How do we fight this thing?" She asked
"You`ll have to tame it" Tommy said
"What?" She sighed
"Concentrate your morpher can communicate your thoughts to it" Tommy said as he grabbed her by the shoulders.
The pteranodon landed on the beach, it was out of control.
Kim walked over to it. "Kim be careful!" Tommy sighed
"Please stay quiet" Kim spoke through her communicator "That´s it, very good" she continued
The pteranodon started moving as the pink ranger got closer. "Quiet, be a good guy" kim kept saying
When Kim was very close the pteranodon turned round and hit the pink ranger with the tail.
"Kim!" Tommy sighed, Ethan and Trent hold him
Kim stood up "Take it easy big fellow I don´t want to hurt you" Kim said
The pteranodon´s tail came towards her again, this time she jumped and hold on it. The pteranodon flew away carrying Kim over the water.
"Kim hold on!" Tommy yelled
Haley and Billy got to Tommy´s they were laughing and chatting completely unaware of the situation
"Look at the time! we´ve been out for hours" Haley sighed
"When I´m with you I´m not concerned about time dimension" Billy sighed looking into Haley´s eyes
He got closer to her lips but they were startled by a roar in the sky, suddenly it was raining again.
Kim climbed up the pteranodon´s tail, but the splashing rain made it more difficult. She almost slipped twice. Finally she reached the back, she hold on with one hand
and with the other she took her morpher and yelled "Pteranozord!"
The pteranodon´s eyes glew and its body turned to pink. It returned to the beach and landed letting her to get off.
Tommy ran to her and wrapped her into his arms. "I did it!" She sighed.
At Mesogog´s
"I thought you said Tommy was not in town!" Mesogog yelled at Elsa
"That odious pink ranger lied to me!" Elsa muttered angry
"I hate the pink ranger, I´m going to destroy her!" Mesogog yelled
At the dino lab . . .
"Congrats Ms Hart you´ve got your own zord" Conner told Kim
"Yes, thank you" She answered "I hope you don´t mind it´s similar to yours" Kim twinkled one eye to Kira
"Don´t worry Ms Hart, after all Pterodactyl was yours first" Kira sighed
"Well, technically Pteranodon is a genus of pterosaurs" Kim explained
"Dr. O. gave you the know your zord speech?"Kira asked
"Actually he gave me a book" Kim answered
"Welcome to the team Ms Hart" Kira said
"And where have both of you been?" Tommy queried Kira and Conner
"We´ve been on detention" Conner answered
"For what?"Haley asked
"Someone shared on facebook a tricked video where Conner and I were making out and cheerleaders started to harass me, so I had to put an end" Kira explained
"How did you put an end?" Tommy queried
"I got mad and I yelled at them that the video was tricked" Kira answered
"Randal is nut, but she doesn´t send you to detention because you yelled at someone" Tommy stated
"Okay I blasted them away with my ptera-scream" She admitted
"You know you can´t use your powers against another human being" Tommy said upset
"And what about you, did you make an irresponsible use of your powers too ?" Tommy asked Conner
"I started a fight with my team mates for the same reason, and yes I took advantage of my super-speed" Conner confessed
"I can´t believe it!" Tommy sighed angrily hitting the table with his fist, that made Kim to get startled.
"You should not be exposed like that" Tommy yelled at them
"Yeah we know and we´re really sorry" Kira apologized looking down "But we´ve got Devin´s camera" She said lifting the camera
"Well done!" Haley sighed and took the camera
"Haley!" Tommy cried out
"Okay, what you did was really bad, but it´s good that you got the camera" Haley corrected herself
Haley connected the camera to the computer and played the video
"Do you mean this video?" Haley asked
"Yes, that´s it"Conner sighed
"I regret to inform you that the video hasn´t been tricked" Billy stated
"Wait, I´m pretty sure it never happened" Kira stated
"Welcome to the liars´ team Ms Hart" Trent piped up, he stood up and walked away
"I remind you that you´re in the same team!" Kira retorted
"Trent please wait!" Haley asked and he returned
"Can you stop with all of this?, I don´t care who you kissed or didn´t kiss" Tommy yelled "We are forgetting that you two broke an important power ranger´s
rule" He stated, everybody looked at him scared. "I want to talk to both of you later alone" Tommy said and then walked upstairs followed by Kim.
They made silence for some seconds until Billy piped up
"I was saying that Devin videotaped this scene when the time had been twisted by Rita, so Kira and Trent had never met , in fact you were the devil white
ranger" He explained "When the time was fixed all of the memories were erased from your minds, but not from the camera"
"You are saying that I really kissed Conner?" Kira asked narrowing her eyes, Billy and Haley nodded yes
"I´m glad that I forgot all about it" Kira sighed
"Hey that video is larger than the one on the internet" Ethan pointed out.
"Whoever uploaded this video was more interested in the kiss part than in the Tyrannodrones part, but why?" Conner asked
At the living room
"Tommy don´t be so hard on them, they´re teenagers, don´t you remember when we were their age?" Kim asked
"Yes, I do, and no matter how many times Skull harassed you I never used my powers against him" He stated, "And he really pissed me off" Tommy sighed
"But you must admit that it wasn´t easy to deal with high school, our parents and the powers" Kim said
"There is no excuse Kim" He stated
"Tommy, Kim hurry!" Aisha called them from downstairs.
When they went downstairs they watched on the screen of the computer a second video that showed both of them making out at the cyberspace backyard.
When Tommy got into the Cyberspace, Elsa and some tyrannodrones showed up and captured Kim.
"No wonder if this video is shared on internet tomorrow" Ethan sighed
"Ethan, Billy can you find out who is the responsible for this? Tommy asked worried
"We can try" Billy answered
