Ciel laughed as Daemon swung her around. "No Daemon stop." She shouted not intending for the order to be followed.

"Oh why." He asked as the woman looked down to see tiles melting into the lava that was seeping from the cracks in the floor. Screaming playfully she wrapped her arms tightly around the Mist guardian's neck and hung from him so her feet wouldn't touch the floor. The man chuckled but continued to dance elegantly. Daemon swiftly stopped leaning forward to dip her backwards putting her closer to the illusionary lava. Ciel squeaked clutching onto his jacket.

"No no no don't." She laughed.

The ball room doors slammed open as G. walked in then paused. "What are you two doing?"

The two stayed in the leaning position staring blankly at the Storm Guardian. The lava disappeared leaving the ball room as it formerly was. G. raised an eyebrow waiting for an answer.

"Dancing. Daemon was kind enough to tutor me in the usual Vongola style dancing. Unless there is something wrong with that, shall we continue?" She asked turning her attention to Daemon.

G. scoffed walking closer to the two. "Sorry to interrupt your 'dancing' but Primo has already assigned you a dancing partner knowingly aware that you don't know how to dance. Daemon you have a mission on your desk. And you are to meet your teacher here in a few moments." G. stated quickly turning on his heel and walking out the ballroom. Ciel and Daemon rolled their eyes before grabbing onto each other once again as illusionary music started to fill the air. Picking up her white dress with one hand Ciel relaxed in the Mist Guardian's hold. Harp music began to play and she smiled watching her footing as Daemon led her around the floor elegantly. The moment didn't last as long as she wanted before the doors opened and the wheat blonde haired guardian walked through with an impatient look on his face.

The illusionist chuckled letting her go. "Now what could Primo have promised you to actually get you to do something like teach."

Alaude ignored the snickering man walking up to the woman. Taking the woman's hands he dragged her over to the middle of the dance floor. Daemon disappeared as Ciel stared worriedly at the Cloud Guardian.

"Ugetsu do you think we should invite the Cavallone family to the ball? I know Alaude has some ties to them but whoever has ties to Alaude is questionable." The Don asked sitting in his office scrolling through his pile of papers as he continued to write down names as he went for the ball invitations. The curtains to the large windows were drawn back as the Rain Guardian looked over his shoulder at his boss. Giving a smile that could possibly outshine the sun he fully turned towards him.

"Hm well the Cavallone family is neither friend nor foe and Alaude seems to tolerate them well. Perhaps they could be of help in the future when we are in trouble. It never hurts to be prepared for the worst, besides as of right now they're not the strongest around though they are gaining strength. Maybe we can gain another ally."

Giotto just leaned his cheek on his fist as he raised an eyebrow at the Japanese man. "So yes?" The man laughed nodding his head before looking out the windows. The silence hung in the air for quite a while as Giotto completed his paperwork and Ugetsu stared upon the Vongola grounds. Reaching forward the musician opened the windows letting in the warm air of summer. A yellow bird perched itself onto the window sill before lifting off again and landing on the edge of the large desk. Orange eyes turned to Ugetsu then looked to the bird in wonder before reverting their gaze to the tall man. Chuckling the blonde sat back in his chair setting his pen down. "Alright what is bothering you my friend."

Ugetsu blinked owlishly before laughing. "I thought it would be fun to discuss the topics going around the family."

"I wasn't aware word gets around."

"Or stuff that I'm curious about." Giotto nodded to his friend to continue. "How is Cozarto doing? I didn't get to see him while he was here."

Giotto smiled. "Cozarto is Cozarto, he gets by. He and his wife are thinking about starting a family. He's all for it as we all know Cozarto loves kids but the Miss isn't prepared. They'll have their decision by the time the ball comes."

"And what about you?"

"What about me?"

Ugetsu watched as the bird flew back out the window. "Oh you know kids, family, marriage."

The Don stood up and walked up to the window also. "Is this you asking or G.?"

"It could be both…and Knuckles."

Sitting on the sill Giotto leaned his head back on the wall. "Now could this be about the young lady downstairs."

"It's more of the shameless flirting you two engaged in the other day. I mean Primo I haven't seen you act as such in a long time. Could it be that you wish to court Ciel."

Giotto stared at his guardian in shock before giving a small smirk to the man. "Before we continue I think we should let G. in before he explodes." The door slammed open as the red head stormed in with a lit cigarette in his mouth. The door harshly closed behind him as he glared at the Rain Guardian.

"You did not just say those words in the same sentence."

Ugetsu looked at him confused. "Which ones, I did say many. The question about kids and marriage or about stating he feverously wants the lady down stairs." Giotto laughed as G. started shouting at the taller man. Ugetsu smiled. "But we might as well talk about it. Since the two show their affection out in the open freely I assumed that it would be something to be easily discussed about."

G. turned to Primo who was grinning widely. "You can't be serious about this?"

"I haven't even said anything. You are the ones making the assumptions. And Ugetsu if the flirting was bothering you, you should have told me and I would have done it privately."

"I actually found it amusing."

"I found it and still find it disgusting so stop."

Giotto laughed again. "I flirt with Ciel, yes. But why do you bring up marriage so early in the relationship."

Ugetsu shrugged lightly. "You are of the marrying age-"

G. butted in with a scoffed. "We're all of the marrying age. Lampo is of marrying age. Everyone in Vongola is of marrying age. What is your point?"

Ugetsu brightened up. "Oh we should marry Lampo off to that French Duchess, I hear she likes younger man."

Giotto went to resort back but the door slammed upon and a crying Lampo ran in lunging at the Boss. Primo stood up from his spot on the window sill and quickly caught hold of the green haired teen. "Don't marry me off! I don't want to live with some old lady. If this is about the vase all those months ago that broke and I blamed on G., I'm sorry it was me who did it. Just don't make me marry the French Duchess!" Giotto patted the young lord's back trying to calm him down.

G. put his cigarette out. "Brat don't call the Duchess old she's younger than we are."

Lampo pulled back wiping the snot from his nose onto his sleeve. "She's twenty-two and that's old to be a newlywed."

Ugetsu hummed. "Really I thought it was thirty."

Lampo waved him off. "Once you hit twenty you shouldn't marry anymore. You guys are like ancient so no women want you. But Lord Lampo is now able to marry and will-"

"Marry the French Duchess." Giotto said. The lord lunged back at the boss with even more tears. Giotto pulled him off then gave him a questioning stare. "Now why were you outside my office door?"

Lampo sniffed before stuffing his hands in his pockets. "There was a conflict between Ciel and Alaude. But I'm sure it's over now. When we bury her for the funeral can we still keep the pastry chef, he's making me a cake for tea time this weekend."

The three older men rushed out the office and down the hall. Subordinates stepped to the side seeing the three in such a hurry. Coming to the stairs Giotto placed a hand on the railing and quickly jogged down the stairs. Seeing Alaude leaning against the wall outside the ballroom Giotto slowed down and calmly walked inside only to see a screaming woman hanging from one of the lamps on the walls. "GOD DAMN YOU!" She screamed kicking her legs around as her arms were linked together by handcuffs. "I hope you burn in hell you bastard. Pregate per pietà della tua anima, perché una volta che avrò finito con te che stai per augurarvi vissuto una vita più santa figlio di una cagna!(1)" Giotto looked at Alaude accusingly.

"I don't want to know what happened to make her wish that upon you but get her down and you'll have completed that favor you owe me." Alaude seemed to have thought about the offer for a moment as Ugetsu went inside with Alessandra who appeared to help calm the angry Italian down. Eventually Alaude went back inside and unlocked the handcuffs. Ciel was lightly placed on the ground with the help of Ugetsu before she lunged at the Cloud Guardian who was making his way out the room. G. stepped forward grabbing onto the woman's arm as the wheat blonde man made his escape.

G. struggled to keep hold. "Back to our previous conversation, this is why that is a no." He hissed as he smacked the woman upside the head.

"Never again." Ciel said as she sat on Primo's couch in his office as he organized his papers quickly before sitting down across from her. The door, this time, was locked and no one else was in the room but the two of them. The window remained open as the skies started to gray symbolizing the arrival of a storm. Ciel crossed her legs as she looked anywhere but at the face of her boss. Giotto poured himself a cup of tea before leaning back in his seat and relaxing. "I swear you have the worst guardians."

"Alaude is rough around the edges but I don't see how he could have gotten you so angry." He replied taking a sip.

"Out of everyone you know you just had to choose him. I mean he is the most selfish, egotistical, uptight, self-"

"Are you talking about Daemon or Alaude, I'm confused here."

Ciel huffed. "Don't interrupt me when I'm ranting." Giotto raised a hand in defense. "I mean seriously-wait what do you mean Daemon! Spade is a sweet heart once you get passed the fact he's rude and conniving."

"And Alaude is very determined. Everyone has their vice and virtues, now what has gotten you so mad." He asked again.

Ciel stood up and started walking around the office. "I don't wish to talk about it."

The man watched her carefully as she walked. She was tense and emotionally strained. Her fingers were restless as they drummed against everything they touched. Her eyes wondered from place to place in search of something interesting to grab their attention. "Next week..."Turning towards him she raised an eyebrow. "Next week we shall go out of the castle and visit the town where I saved you. You were staying with someone and it's a shame you haven't told them you're alright. I think some fresh air will do us some good, yes? Is that alright with you?"

Her eyes lit up in excitement. "Really?"

"I don't see why not, I can-"Her body collided with his almost causing him to spill his tea. Gently setting the cup down on the table he hugged her in return. Twirling the ends of her white hair around his fingers he chuckled as she pulled back looking at him curiously.

"What do you get out of going?"

"Who says I need to get anything out of going. I'm here to make sure all my members are happy. Besides I got a lovely hug from a beautiful woman. What else is there for me to gain?"

Ciel hummed as she stood in front of him. Picking up her dress she stepped onto the couch and positioned herself in the Boss's lap. Putting her legs out to one side she dropped her dress and crossed her ankles as she wrapped her arms around the blonde's neck. He in returned relaxed and shifted her a tad to make it a little more comfortable for him. "I think there is a lot for you to gain. I just wonder what exactly you want."

Reaching a hand up to her face Giotto pushed some hair behind her ear. "There is a lot I wish to gain..." Pulling his hand back he grabbed hold of one of her hands wrapped around his neck and started to kiss her palm. He continued up to her wrist and up her arm. Orange eyes locked with brown. "It just depends on what you are willing to give me."

Uncrossing her ankles Ciel got up onto her knees and picked up her dress again with her free hand and threw a leg over his. Now straddling the Boss Ciel looked down at him as he kissed her shoulder, eyes still gazed up at her. An arm wrapped around her and pulled her down to sit back in his lap. Jumping to her other shoulder he kissed it lightly before trailing down. "Now if this is a continuation of the other day then I'm sure this is not where we ended."

Giotto smiled against her skin. "Ah but I'm sure this is where it would have."

"Oh are you? And what makes you so sure?"

"Just my intuition."

"And is that reliable?"

He chuckled. "It has yet to fail me."
