Chapter 11

John nodded and told Sherlock to open the door. It was opened slowly to avoid any noise from the hinges. John went first, followed by Greg, with their guns raised ready to shoot. But what they saw confused them. Mycroft was standing in the middle of the room, swinging the umbrella.

"Hello brother."

Sherlock stood frozen trying to piece the facts together. He was just on the phone with him, being told Loki was up here.

Lestrade lowered his gun and put the safety back on. "Myc, what are you doing here?"

Mycroft took a step forward but was stopped by the blogger's shout. "Stop right where you are!"

"John, it's all right. It's Mycroft," Lestrade reasoned, trying to get him to lower his gun.

"No, I've seen this before. It's him. It's Loki." John was in his army stance and was prepared to shoot.

Sherlock took John's arms and force them down to his sides. As he did, he whispered into the doctor's ear. "I believe you but we need to make him think we have fallen for it. It will only be the way to stop him."

John nodded and gave his gun to Sherlock to look like he's surrendered. "Sorry about that, Mycroft. Can never be too careful." John clenched his fists and took a step backwards.

A crash and thud came from behind as Thor burst through the window. He looked at the group searching for one particular person. He was worried when he couldn't spot him.

Sherlock was worried Thor would ruin everything but was glad when the question came out of his mouth.

"Where's Loki? Who is this fat man?"

John and Sherlock burst out in giggles and couldn't stop. Loki had gotten the scowl just right. Lestrade smirked and patted him on the shoulder.

Sherlock finally calmed down enough that he was able to talk. "This is my brother, Mycroft. He works for the British government."

Thor just nodded his head, still eyeing the man suspiciously.

John was still sniggering and he watched as Lestrade went to talk to Mycroft, finally making the connections between the two men. He was rather impressed with the way Loki got the character down.

"Let's see if we can get him to mess up." Sherlock smirked and motioned John to follow. "Mycroft, how are you?"

"I'm fine, Sherlock. Worried we've lost Loki though." Mycroft furrowed his eyebrows.

John piped in shortly after. "How's Athena?"

"I don't know,"came a quick reply.

Sherlock got him. "What do you mean you don't know?"

"I haven't talked to her recently."

John raised an eyebrow. "But she's your assistant. She's always in the car whenever you kidnap us."

They watched as Mycroft panicked and slowly backed up. But Thor's hammer hit him in the back knocking him forward, face hitting the ground earning him a bloody nose. He changed back in Loki.

Thor got his hammer back and walked over to Loki, missing it when he summoned his staff.

Loki rolled over and jumped up onto his feet. He pulled the arm holding the scepter back and shot out an energy source that knocked Thor to his back.

Lestrade brought out his gun and shot at the god. Loki was too fast as he dodged the bullets and swung the rod at the cop's legs, knocking him down.

John wanted his gun back so he could take this man down. He was starting to get pissed off with this god. Sherlock must have read his mind as he felt the gun get pushed into his hand. He gripped it and was about to aim when Loki shot another ball of energy at them. It hit Sherlock straight in the chest and threw him to the wall. "Sherlock!"

Sherlock felt John grab his hand and lift his head up a little bit. He could barely get any words out. He was glad this one wasn't as strong as the one shot at Thor or he could possibly be dead.

"Oh, John. It's just you and me," Loki said with a smug look.

"You bastard." John swung his fist, aiming for the god's nose. It was stopped halfway.

"Hitting does not solve everything," Loki smirked.

"It should. Especially to the man I thought I could talk to for a moment."

"I'm sorry to disappoint. Maybe someone else would be more comfortable." Loki's clothes changed into a pair of black slacks and a dark purple shirt that stretched across the chest. His face turned pale and turned to Sherlock's cheekbones and eyes, his hair into curls.

"No! I'm tired of these games." John grabbed his hair and shook his head violently.

Loki laughed manically and grinned from ear to ear. "Why, John? The game is on. Why not play."

"I'm done with you. I'm done being your fucking puppet." John wanted to punch that smile off his face but couldn't bring himself to do it. It was Sherlock's face and he didn't want to hurt it. "Stop being a coward and change back."

"Is that what you think of your friend? A coward? Oh well. His body is too scrawny and weak for my taste." Loki changed back to his true form and played with the tip of his scepter. "Come on, John. Join me. We could have so much power and maybe I could give you your precious Sherlock."

"What would this power do for me?" John watched as Loki's eyes lit up with excitement and as his went to explain how they could rule the world, John switched the safety off on his gun. "I'm sorry but that's just not appealing to me." He raised his gun and shot the god right in the shoulder. Not to kill him, but to wound him.

Loki gasped and started to pant as blood ran from his shoulder. He reached up and put pressure onto the bullet entry. "I am a fool."

"You aren't a fool. You just messed with the wrong people." John's doctor side came out as he walked over to Loki. "You won't die if you keep the pressure going. You'll be fine." He stood up and looked at everyone lying on the floor. A grunt came from the wall.

"John?"

"Sherlock!" John ran over and crouched down by the man's side. "How are you feeling? You okay?"

"I'm fine. What happened?"

"We won." John smiled and gave Sherlock a small kiss on the forehead.

Thor's voice was hoarse but loud enough to be heard. "What did you do to my brother?!"
