"I can't believe you!" I shrieked as snow dripped down my back. Remus chuckled and reached for more snow. We were patrolling an older part of the castle, so some the windows didn't have glass. Remus had just hit me with a well-aimed snowball. I ran to the next window and scooped up some snow throwing it at him as well.
"It's a good thing you aren't on the quidditch team." Remus laughed as my snowball landed nowhere near him. I stuck my tongue at him and scurried down the hall. He followed and we laughed as we stopped every couple windows to toss snow at each other. He got me twice more and I got him none.
"Truce! Truce!" I giggled as the snow chilled my stomach where it hit. Remus smiled. I smiled back and crooked my finger indicating he should come to me. He reached me and wrapped his arms around me as I slid my hands up his back. I stood on tiptoe to place my lips on his. Just as he was sinking into the kiss, I hit his neck with some snow. He jumped back as I laughed.
"Oh you think that was funny do you?" He scooped me up in his arms twirling me around.
"Yes I think it was funny. And well deserved." I giggled as he pushed me up against a wall.
"Of course you would you sneaky little Slytherin."
"You're the one dating me." I stuck my tongue out at him again. He tickled my sides which made me squirm against him. He groaned. I raised an eyebrow and wiggled again making sure to brush my chest against him.
"Evelynn." He growled. "Not fair."
"Whatever do you mean?" I asked with an innocent look on my face. He bent so he was a breath away from my lips.
"You know what I mean." He growled when I wiggled again and smirked. "Two can play this game little lady." His lips crashed against mine bringing that electricity again. I moaned when his hands caressed my sides. Once they reached my hips, he slipped them around to cup my ass before lifting me up. I wrapped my legs around him and tangled my hands in his hair. His lips left mine and traveled to my neck.
"Remus." I let out a moan and felt him smirk against my skin. He kissed up to my ear before biting it and pressing harder against me. I groaned when I felt him through his jeans.
"Don't start games you can't finish baby." He whispered. I gave a breathy laugh.
"Who said I couldn't finish what I started?" I pulled his face back to mine. I loved the tingling feeling I got every time our lips touched. I slid one hand down his chest and reached between us to lightly rub him through his pants. He groaned into our kiss. I smirked and kissed to his ear. "We can finish this right here right now if you want babe." I went to unhook his belt when his hand stopped me.
"As much as I love this, I don't think our first time should be against a wall in some dusty old hallway." He put me down and kissed my forehead. I pouted a little and he chuckled. "What's with that face beautiful?"
"Get me all hot and bothered and then cut me off cold." I crossed my arms across my chest. "Nice guys can be so mean." Remus rolled his eyes and took my face in his hands.
"You'll survive." I stuck my tongue out and he kissed me again gently.
"How did I get such a sweet guy?" I sighed and took his hand, leaning against him as we started our patrol again.
"Nice work Regulus!" One of Regulus's friends slapped him on the back. Regulus raised an eyebrow and I felt a blush creeping up my face. I knew what this was about.
"For?" Regulus asked.
"That nice little mark on Strauss. Not that we didn't already know she was yours. He laughed and Regulus looked at me and smirked. I wanted to sink into the floor. Remus had left a nice little hickey on my neck last night and hard as I had tried to cover it, it was still pretty noticeable.
"Well sometimes you just gotta show a girl who she belongs to." Regulus laughed and I reached across the table to slap him on the arm.
"Shut up." I growled. He smirked and I glared back. "Oh shove it." I grabbed my stuff and left for class, hearing Regulus and his friends laughing behind me. I stormed to charms while trying to adjust my collar to hide a little more of the mark on my neck. I slid into my seat still grumbling about annoying boys. I pulled out my book and read a little since I was so early for class. Slowly more students began to file in. I had this class with Remus and his friends, so I scanned the room when it was almost full and caught his eyes. I glared at him and motioned to my neck. He simply smirked back. Ugh stupid boys.
Remus POV
I held back a chuckle when Evelynn glared at me. I'm not going to lie; I liked seeing my mark on her neck. The wolf inside of me was grinning.
"What has you grinning like that?" Sirius asked sitting next to me and leaning back in his chair.
"Probably thinking about some girl." James said from his seat in front of us. They laughed when a slight blush entered my cheeks.
"Shut up guys." I muttered. Sirius slapped my back and laughed even though I saw a dark look cross his eyes.
"She must be some lucky girl." James smiled and turned around as Flickwick walked into the room. I took notes diligently, only occasionally glancing over to Evelynn. A small smile spread across my lips. She's beautiful, even when she's annoyed. Her hair was down, probably in an attempt to hide the hickey on her neck. She hadn't bothered with much makeup today and she was still prettier than any other girl around her. Every so often she would stop taking notes to push her hair back behind her ear or to stare at the board in deep thought. She looked up and over at me and smirked a little. I looked down and got back to taking notes. I looked over at Sirius and saw him glaring at his paper. What was wrong with him?
Evelynn POV
I was sitting at a table in a secluded area of the library with books spread around me. My hair was pulled up in a messy bun since I had given up trying to hide the hickey. I was working on an essay for potions about the properties and differences in sleeping potions. I was deep in thought and didn't hear anyone approach until the chair next to me was pulled back. I looked up and glared as Sirius Black sank into the chair.
"What do you want Black?" I spat.
"Stay away from him." Sirius's face was dead…excuse the pun…serious. I raised a brow and glared.
"Stay away from whom exactly?"
"You know who I'm talking about Strauss. Let's cut the crap." He leaned in and whispered. "I don't know what you said or did to convince him it was a good idea to fall for you, but you better stop. You and I both know that he's too good for you. He's one of my best mates and I will not let some scum like you hurt him." My glare intensified.
"Well Black, even though this is none of your business, I don't intend to hurt anyone. Maybe you should get your facts straight because for your information I already warned him that I'm no good for him. And he still wants me. So I'm not going to push him away." I jumped a little when Sirius slammed his fist onto the table.
"Don't fuck with him! Don't lie to me and don't like to yourself. Just stay with your dirty little snakes where you belong." He shoved back from the table and went to walk away. Before he left he turned. "I'm doing what's best for him. If you won't stay away from him I'll keep you away from him." I glared at him as he walked away. I slammed my books closed and hastily gathered my things, too angry to focus now.
Remus POV
I was sitting next to the fire, reading a book for class. I looked up when the portrait door slammed shut. Sirius stormed in and motioned me to follow him. I took my book and followed him up the stairs to our room. We walked in and Sirius checked to make sure no one was there before slamming the door shut and locking it.
"The fuck do you think you're doing?" He spun around and glared at me. "Out of all of the girls in Hogwarts you go for the fucking bloody death eater! Like honestly do you have a death wish?" I stared at him dumbfounded. How did he know?
"Wh..what are you talking about?"
"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME! I KNOW YOU'RE DATING STRAUSS!" Sirius was pacing and basically pulling his hair out.
"So what?" I wasn't going to deny it if he knew it was true. "So what if I am dating Evelynn? What's wrong with that?"
"Only everything Remus! She might not be a death eater yet but she will be one any fucking day now. And she's a Slytherin. And just a terrible person all around. And do you think she's going to want a thing to do with you when she finds out you're a werewolf? Honestly? Why are you setting yourself up for pain?"
"You don't even know her!" I screamed. I was so tired of this. I was tired of having to hide my feelings for this amazing girl, I was tired of people talking shit about her because she's in Slytherin, I was tired of all the judgment. "Honestly Sirius. What do you know about her? Because I bet it's not a goddamn thing. I like her and she likes me and if you don't like it then fuck you." I turned to leave. Before I got out of the door he spoke again.
"Don't say I didn't warn you. When she breaks your heart I'll be here. But just don't say I didn't try to save you the pain." I walked out and slammed the door behind me.
