) When I wrote the background of Speedy and Shadow I expected more of a response, if you guys didn't like it I can delete that part of the story. I await your opinion

2) I had a review that said "I really like this story! I would be really interested to see how the earlier episodes of Ninjago would play out with this different Kai" I'm wondering what everyone thought of me doing another story but earlier in the ninja's adventure. Kai is still a girl. That is non-negotiable.

Good idea, bad idea, I really don't give a rat behind (actually that would be rude, please no rude comments like that), comment and let me know what you think.

3) Do you guys think I should do other point of view too? Like Lloyd and maybe Cole or Jay. I've been toying with that idea for a while and I wanted to know your take on it.

Potteritis: I love/ hate story that leave on cliff hangers but I too, love tension.

'I have to control this situation before we end up in an all-out brawl. If that happens then all of us are going to get disqualified'

I pushed past Shadow and Speedy (as well as ignoring their warning glances, they were probably scared I'd do something stupid) and walked towards Chen. He just smiled at me but his smile made me want to smack him in to next week.

"Look" I started "We don't want any trouble so-"

Clouse cut me off "If you don't want any trouble then you should just give yourself"

"Not an option" Growled Neuro and Speedy. I really wanted then to just be quiet. They should just let me do all talking.

"Guy's" I said so softly that only the ones closest to me could hear" Please let me do all the talking. Getting kicked off the island is a fate worse than death" they all stared at me with a confused eye's. "I will explain later" I promised. 'I hope I get a chance to fulfill that promise'

"What are you muttering about over their "said an annoyed Chen "I hate when I don't know things so out with it"

I had to restrain myself from saying several sarcastic and very rude things, instead I replied with "Nothing that really matter right now, I think that we should instead talk about what it will take for you to stop stalking me"

I sensed rather than saw my friends nodding at my words. I could never tell them how grateful I am to them, for just being here.

"I want you to become my student. If you do that I promise to leave your friends alone"

"I already told you that I'm not interested"

"And I told you that I don't take No as an answer."

I was about to answer when Skylar appeared by my side and despite what I said began to talk to Chen. 'Is she trying to get us all kicked off the island?'

"Fath- Master Chen, Please leave Kai alone. He's kind and gentle, He won't make a good student -"

'What does 'Fath' mean?'

"I'll be the judge of that, not you, so save your breath and go stand in a corner like woman should. Let the men talk, okay sweetheart. "

'That sexist pig' I should jack slap him and show him what a women can do.

"How dare yo-" Snarled Neuro but I covered his mouth before he finished. I know firsthand that if you anger Chen you are going to regret it.

Now I'm having trouble controlling my temper. When I get pissed bad stuff is known to happen. I act without thinking and do things that could get me killed, and so that what I do now, of course.

I turned to look at my friends and give them each a sad look then I turned back to Chen and said the words that could get me killed.

"Okay, Chen I will become your apprentice, as long as you don't hurt my friends"

"Yah" cheered Chen while Speedy grabs me, spins me around and starts shaking me. I got him to stop by ducking under his arms and taking a step back.

"What are you thinking, this is the man who tried to break you head against a wall and yet you want to become his student. Your a- but that'- how can - insane"

'Well obviously I don't want to be his apprentice but what choice do I have'

"Griffin's right, though I wouldn't use his word exactly. What are you thinking? I for one am not going to allow you to go off with Chen, Not in a million years" stated Neuro.

'Let me " I thought in outrage 'I don't recall needing your permission' before I could voice my outrage Skylar broke in.

"Kai you don't know Chen, you don't know what he's capable of, please for me don't do -" Her voice sound hurt and desperate like she was in real physical pain. I couldn't understand why she sounded like she was in a lot of pain, ' Maybe she's just worried about me'

"But that's why I'm doing this. For you guy's and girls " I added that last part when I saw the look Skylar was giving me " Any way, Chen is after me not you but if you cross him you could go right to the top of his list of people he wants to destroy. I won't put you in danger. I'm not worth that so please just trust me"

I looked at each of their faces in turn, From Skylar to Shadow to Neuro to Speedy then back to Skylar. I didn't know if I should wait for their answer or leave while I had the chance. Before I decided Speedy spoke up,

"Kai, I do trust you, we all do. It's Chen we don't trust. If something happens to you and we aren't around to offer support . . . "He trailed off uncertainly.

I just smiled at him. I knew where this panic was coming from. I used to feel it every time I was separated from any of the ninja's but most of all Lloyd. Yet Lloyd always made me feel better, He always knew what to say to make me stop panicking, he always had a way of making me smile.

I wish that he was here and that I could wrap my arms around him and know beyond a doubt that he was safe and happy.

I reached for Speedy's hand, hoping to comfort him. He gladly took mine, I gave him a reassuring squeeze (I don't think that's the right word, sorry if that's confusing). I reached for Skylar's hand as well. She took my hand and held it like she was afraid I'd vanish in a puff of smoke. I moved both their hands so that they are resting on my forehead, and I said

"Don't worry about me, I may fall but I never give up. I am stronger than anyone's, except Shadow, Gives me credit for. I'll be fine." I looked up at my friends and tried to reassure them will my eyes "but promise me that you four will stick together while I'm gone. I won't be there to watch your back so you've got to watch each other's"

They all nodded. That gave me some relief. At least they will have each other in case anyone needs help.

This conversation feels like it aged me by twenty years, I feel fried by the events that happened to day. All I really wanted to do was lay down in bed and sleep. By the looks on the others face (it ranged from tired and worried to sad and angry) they all felt the same way.

Even though this conversation feel like it took years, it has really only been about 5 minutes. Just long enough for Clouse to get annoyed and for Chen to get bored.

"Can we go now" Complained Chen

I nodded at him. I then tried to take back my hands but Neither Speedy or Skylar seemed to want to let go.

"I'm going to be okay" I said in the most sincere voice I can. Just as I was going to leave a new problem made itself known to me. 'How could I have been so stupid as to forget this, I'll need someone's help' that realization lead me to leaned in and whispered instructions into Speedy's ear. He nodded as and said back "Okay, you can count on me"

That caused me to smile a little and to be thankful that I have such wonderful friends.

At the same time both Skylar and Speedy let go of my hand and stepped back so that they were shoulder to shoulder with Shadow and Neuro. (The line- up is Shadow, Skylar, Speedy, and Neuro).

'Okay' was all I thought as I turned and started to Chen.

"Ready to go" he said with a smug smirk.

I just nodded. I didn't trust myself to speak. I knew that if I did I'd have trouble keeping my voice even, I would give no one the satisfaction of hearing my voice tremble, especially not Chen and his lackeys.

Chen and Clouse went down the ladder and as much as I hated it, I followed.

'I wish that Cole and Lloyd could be here.' I thought weakly 'I want to go home, I want to go back to being (Lloyd and the ninja's) normal but I can't, at least not right now. I have to save my friends and get Lloyd and Zane's powers back, As Well as get off this island without losing mine or anyone else's powers.' Panic was setting in now. 'Is that all. Maybe I could slay a dragon instead' When I panic I get sarcastic.

I was so lost in thought that I hadn't realized we had entered back into the main hall until I ran straight into one of Chen's Rent- a- thugs. I rubbed my nose and forehead with two fingers while think about how I'm going to strangle this guy.

Before I could put my plan into motion, a hand slapped me across the face and I was sent to the ground. I stared up at Clouse and saw that he was wearing a superior expression like he was so much better than me.

'I should be ashamed. I am a ninja and I let him take me down easily. 'I thought angrily.

"You should know better than to let your mind wander, especially when you're around Me and Master Chen"

"Now, now Clousey, Clousey, Clouse "said an annoying voice to my left "don't be so mean to your new friend. Since he is now my student that makes him your partner and your new rival. And let's be clear, when this is all over and my plan is complete, only one of you will be my apprentice. After all only one can remain" He giggled like he had said something hilarious.

'He- How- could he just- I don't believe him'

"You mean to tell me that the reason you forced me to become your apprentice is so I could fight Clouse and likely get creamed by him. How can you expect me to match him" I pointed at Clouse "in strength when he's trained a lot more than I have."

Chen shrugged "That's not my problem"

'Why that selfish little -

"So you don't actually want me as an apprentice, you just want someone Clouse can test his powers on"

"Enough of this pointless squabbling. Clouse take my new Student down to the tunnels while I announce to everyone that Kai" He gestured to me while I just stared at him with horror, knowing what he was going to say and probably do to me " has been disqualified and kicked off of the island."

'He's going to take my powers tonight, isn't he and if my friends think I've been kicked off they'll probably do something stupid. He's backing everyone into a corner, (Sigh) Oh fudge'

Clouse grabbed me by the back of my shirt and dragged my down the same hallway where I had first been offered to be Chen apprentice. 'I hate this hallway'

He pushed me into one of the other doors I had seen the first time I entered here. The door, then lead to another hallway. The hallway was lined with rock and that looked like it leads underground. The deeper we went the more panic I felt.

Finally after 10 hours (10 minutes) we came to some sort of perch/balcony that over looked some sort of factory. The perch was small but comfortable, it had wooden floor and a desk with a chair

'Wooden floor, I don't think that is safe' I thought that until I noticed the steel beams that run under the wood. I started to wonder if I could jump over the railing when I realized that it was blocked off with so kind of really strong glass. I also saw that the floor was so far below me that if I did jump there be no way I'd survive

As well as that the floor below was very busy.

I looked down and noticed all the contestants that lost are here. I spotted Karloff, who I beat (sort of) and Bolobo who Neuro beat, as well as Camille who lost to Ash but I didn't see the 2 people who I want to see most.

"Where's Lloyd and Z-" I cut myself off. I can't reveal that I know Zane or else things will get even more complicated.

"The green ninja is currently on the run. He managed to escape while we were otherwise occupied"

'Point for Lloyd, way to cause these idiots a little stress' I thought with pride ' He is awesome'

"I guess not everything is going to go your way, that's the problem with being a control freak is that you can't be everywhere at once"

Something flashed in Clouse's eyes, it might have been anger but it also looked a little like respect but it was gone so fast that I wasn't sure if I actually saw it or if I imagined it.

"You will stay here until later tonight, then after you've been 'taken care of' I have been ordered to train you in magic " the way he spoke told me that he did not want to do this either but that he was following orders.

"Wait WHAT" I shouted but it was too late. Clouse had already turned and walked back out the way we came in and when I heard the door click, I knew that he had locked it.

Still I had to try. I rushed to the door and grabbed the door knob. It wouldn't budge,

The panic had just started to set in, when I remembered what I had learned while on the run. It had been years since I had to use this skill but I know how to pick a lock. All I need now is a paper clip or maybe even a needle.

I searched the room but there was nothing in it. I was just about to give up when I stepped on something, something very hard and very sharp.

I let out a surprised gasp and fell on my butt. I moved my foot around so that I could see what I stepped on. Embedded into my foot was a splinter about an inch in length, I managed to get my finger around the splinter and yanked it out of my heel.

I was about to throw it away, when I realized that I could use this to pick the lock, but only if I find one more of them. I searched the floor until I found another one, it was hidden underneath the desk. It was smaller than the one that was in my foot but it will have to do.

I moved back to the doorknob. Picking this locks was harder than I remembered any other to be but on my fifth try I manage to get the door unlocked.

With the door open, I knew that I could start looking for Lloyd and Zane. What I didn't know was where to start or even if Lloyd was still on the island. Plus if I get seen by any guards, Chen and Clouse are going to be pissed.

I was just considering the idea of sneaking through the air ducks when a female guard passed by my only slightly opened door. That gave me an idea.

I opened the door all the way and grabbed the guard as she passed, and within seconds had disarmed and knocked her unconscious.

I stripped her of her clothe (she had a undershirt as well as leggings on underneath, I left those on) and put them on, I also tried to duplicate the marks on her faces without much success, if I had a mirror things might be different but I'm pretty much doing this blind.

I gave up on the marks after I pocked myself in the eye with the brush, I just have to hope that it was believable.

When I was all dressed, I walked out the door and into the rock hallway.

"Lloyd, Zane, Speedy, Skylar, Neuro, Shadow. I will find so way to save you all, I promise" I said it no louder than a whisper.

Well what do you think? Good, bad, horrible, awesome. Please tell me. I've been getting such great support on this story but . . . I have no idea how I'm going to end this so if anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

I need only 5 review to continue so bring on the reviews. More would be better. A lot more would be better but I'll take what I can get.
