*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* Damn alarms, they're good at making you wake up, but that constant beeping is still annoying. I hit the snooze button with my left hand (because wrecking it with my right would give me a hefty bill in the future) and get out of bed.

"Today's the day." I say while putting on my main outfit for the day. It's a white tuxedo with red cuffs, black buttons, and a blue tie. I decided to wear my normal sneakers because I just can't stand fancy footwear for the life of me. It's a basic setup, but it's better than nothing. I quickly look around the room for my disc.

The room itself is actually pretty damn big for a hotel room, it holds a large king sized bed that seems to have dark purple sheets on it, and it is really easy to fall asleep on that bastard. Literally, I was on that thing for ten seconds and I was out like a light. There's also a nice little table that goes up to my knees made out of some pretty damn durable glass. I say it's durable because the damn vase that was on the table weighs a fucking tonne, and this is coming from someone who can wield a Greatsword almost twice his size.

Back to describing the room, in front of the table is a nice counter about four feet long and on top of it was a plasma screen TV that I would say is about 38 inches. Not bad for a hotel TV when you think about it, and this isn't even a penthouse suite. To the left of the counter is another table with two chairs right next to it. On the wall right behind said table is a window with a nice view of the city and on the adjacent wall is a balcony with a patio chair already on it. Now, you're probably thinking 'how much did I pay for such a room?' Well, I only paid 1,750 credits for five nights. This was due to my 50% off card I got from that guy in Lowee and I finally decided to give it some use.

I finally manage to find my disc and place it onto the upper part of my left leg. One detail that I just discovered is that the other end can attach directly to fabric, just in case the user doesn't have anything to clip it to. Now that I'm finally all set to go I walk out the door and head down the stairs to the lobby.

When I arrived in the lobby, I could notice that a lot of people were focused on one of the TV screens scattered along the walls. Each one was tuned to a news report focused on the truce happening later today, but they were told from the perspectives of the other landmasses involved. I guess that some residents of their respected landmasses aren't able to make it here so I can understand why they would do that.

I walked out of my hotel and took in a quick breath of fresh air. "All right, time to get to the tower." I say to no one in particular before walking over to the train station. Even though the Neptower is in the exact centre of Planeptune, approaching from the north end of the city is actually the fastest route… and I'm in the south end.

I hop aboard the train and wait for the doors to close. The train is slightly more crowded than it was yesterday, but it's understandable because a big event is happening today. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if this wasn't the biggest event in this world's history. It's definitely going to be interesting for my case, because I'm taking Vert up on her offer to speak with the other goddesses about my situation.

The train made a stop at the northern station and I quickly get off before I could caught in a large crowd. "Ah, the advantage of being one of the last ones onboard, you're closer to the door." I say while stretching my back. Yeah, I almost missed the train, but I still made it so that's all that matters to me.

I leave the station and look around for a quick second. "Now, where is it?" I ask myself. I happen to notice a fire escape to my left and grin at the discovery. "There it is." I say before climbing up the fire escape up to the rooftop. This is how the north end is the fastest route, I can use the rooftops to reach the Neptower much faster when compared to just walking through the streets.

I start jumping from building to building with much more ease than yesterday. I don't know how my luck was so shitty yesterday. I mean my luck is normally bad but, that was just stupid yesterday. "Almost there." I say to myself upon reaching the third to last rooftop on the way to the tower.

I came to a stop after a few more jumps and now I'm at the last building before the Neptower. I look up in an attempt to see the top of the building and I can barely see the damn thing! My vision is 20/20 might I add so this building is fucking tall. "*whistle* Don't want to see someone fall from the top of this one." I commented.

I decided to jump off the building I was currently on and landed right in front of the tower. "Heh, looks like I am capable of jumping off of buildings without an injury." I comment, referencing my failtastic falling spectacular yesterday. The worse of those was still falling through the roof of 'that' club which I shall never name again.

There is a bit of a crowd in front of the main door right now, so I decided to wait for a good opportunity to slip through it. I noticed a few bystanders move to the right and make an opening large enough for me to reach the middle of the crowd. "Now, I need to wait a little longer…" I say with intense focus. I happen to notice another small group of civilians move to the left and I use the advantage to get to the doors.

When I arrived at the doors, four security guards were standing there, armed and ready to take down any troublemakers. Each one is also wearing what I believe to be the respective colour of the nation they work for with gear that matches the main setup each landmass has. Let me explain this in a more understandable way.

The guard I believe to be from Lowee is mainly wearing white (like yours truly) and is holding something like a magic staff for spellcasting. The Leanbox guard is equipped with a lance and shield but the lance can actually extend its reach for good middle to long-range combat. The Planeptune guard is mainly wearing purple and is equipped with an energy sword as a close combat weapon, and an energy pistol as a long range combat weapon. The last guard I assume is from Lastation, and from first glance, I assume it's intended to be a near future within our reach kind of place, while Planeptune is more focused on the distant future that could take centuries for some of us to reach, but I think Lastations style is slightly better because it shows possibilities that can be done now without going completely overboard.

Anyways, the last guard is mainly wearing black, and is equipped with a rifle that I believe is three feet long and the barrel is approximately six centimetres in diameter. It seems to be equipped with a switching scope that alternates between a standard zoom in scope, a night vision scope, and a thermal scope. The guard is also equipped with a sword that is five feet long, ten inches wide, and there are some slots on the pommel for something to be added. Why is it that the Lastation guard has the gear that stands out more than anything else? I'll worry about that later.

As I approach the door, two of the guards hold their weapons in front of me and impede my progress. "Sorry, but no one is allowed through at this time without a V.I.P. pass." The guard I believe to be from Planeptune said.

"Then I guess I'm allowed through because I have a V.I.P. pass." I say in response.

"Preposterous, if you have such a thing, then where is it?" The guard from Lastation asked.

"If you don't show it to us, then we have rights to force you off of the property." The guard from Lowee warned. I wave my hand over the disc and bring out said pass.

"Here you go." I say while handing it over to them. The Lastation guard grabs it first and shows it to the others. They all carefully examine it just to try and clarify that it is legitimate. The Leanbox guard seems to suddenly show a look of interest and quickly grabbed the pass.

"This pass is legitimate." The guard said with confidence. "The official Leanbox seal is on it and the data transfer code on it is from our basilicom." The guard added.

The two guards who held their weapons to block my way withdrew them and stood stationary. "You may pass then, good sir." The Lastation guard said with a salute. The other guards saluted as well while I walked through the doors.

When I entered what I believed to be the lobby of the tower, I noticed that some of the employees were dressed in something similar to the robes a priest or cleric would wear. They all seemed to be setting up some decorations for the truce ceremony but I'm not completely positive on that front. Though I will admit that this lobby is actually very nice. The floors are clean and polished quite well, there are some very nice carpets that are along the floor, and there are a few chairs around the place for people to wait since it looks like the only place you could go from here is to the elevator.

Speaking of the elevator, it seems to be the ONLY way you can go up or down this tower because I see absolutely no sign that indicates there are stairs close by. I hit the button to call the elevator down and leaned against the wall right beside the door. "Is a wait this long really necessary?" I ask myself.

About one minute after I asked myself that question the elevator arrived and I hopped onto it. The doors closed and it started to go up towards the only other floor it can take me to… the top. I decided to look out the window during the ascent and I only have one thing to say. "*whistle* The view from up here is nice." Considering this is the tallest building in Planeptune's history, hell it could be the tallest in Gamindusrti, it offers an extremely good view of Planeptune on the ride to the top. I'm just wondering what the view from the top of the tower is like.

The elevator eventually comes to a stop and the doors open. I walk out the doors and look around my current location. I seem to be on some sort of large balcony and there are concessions tables and chairs set up around the place. I guess they must be for after the truce. I look over the railing of the balcony and I notice some sort of floating platform that extends in four directions suspended in midair. There are smaller platforms attached to the end of each side.

I pull out some binoculars that I kept in my disc and look in the directions each platform is facing. The first one is facing this tower while the one directly opposite of it is facing a different landmass. I believe the landmass that it is facing is Lastation while the ones to the sides are facing Lowee and Leanbox. This is purely a guess though, but it's better than nothing.

I put my binoculars away and decided to walk around the balcony a bit more before it got crowded when the people who don't need a V.I.P. pass start to come up here. I notice that there are some other people up here as well and they don't seem to be doing too much to help set up. I guess that means they also have passes as well.

Normally I would listen in on these conversations and see what I can learn, but there's no good vantage point for me to eavesdrop without getting noticed. So I decided to see if I can find Vert for now and tell her that I'll accept her offer involving my situation. Now that I think about though, she still seems familiar in some regard. I don't remember meeting her before now… I think so anyways, yet it feels like I have met her once before a long time ago. Maybe I can do some research or something when I'm not training to see if I can discover something.

After searching the balcony for a few minutes I couldn't find any signs of Vert, so I came to the conclusion that she was preparing for the ceremony and she's in an area off limits to guests. "I guess I'll talk to her afterwards then." I say to myself. I notice that more people that don't have the V.I.P. pass are starting to arrive now, which means the area is going to get cramped soon.

Now you might wonder, 'how did I know they didn't have a pass?' It's quite simple because of two reasons. The first being that if they did have a pass, they would have been up here before me, or waiting for the elevator around the same time I was. My second reason is much simpler though, I just remembered the faces of some people who were waiting, and they're among this group.

Anyways, I move away from the large group of people to wait until the actual ceremony begins. When that time comes, I'll move closer to the balcony's railing and actually watch from there. Until then, I can eavesdrop on conversations with much more ease because of the amount of people here.

"Hey, did you hear about…"

"I wonder if…"

"I hear that the swordsman who fought at the arena…"

"I heard that too!"

Unfortunately it's just random gossip and those rumors I was warned about. Damn these people for not trying to think things over logically and just believing the first thing they hear.

"Don't these people have a damn brain or something?" I heard a voice among the crowd say. This is a voice I know I've heard before so I quickly walked to where I heard it come from. It took a lot of navigating through the crowd to eventually reach where I thought I heard the voice come from, but there was no one there.

"I swore I heard 'his' voice, I'm positive about it." I say to myself in confusion. I hear some music start to play in the background, so I guess that's a sign that the actual truce ceremony is about to begin. I walked over to the front of the balcony, which is actually reserved for V. considering it offers the best view of the gigantic platform. I show the guard my pass and stand by the railing, waiting for the ceremony to begin.

A/N: That's all for this one folks. I was planning to actually write the entire truce scene, but I forgot what it was like considering I was going to base it off of the one in the anime. I would re-watch the scene, but I don't remember any websites off the top of my head where I could watch it. So sorry about not writing the scene, because next chapter will take place right after it and Kevin will finally begin his discussion with the goddesses. If I can figure out a good way to write it in the future, I'll make it a bonus chapter just so you could see how Kevin would react to it. With that, I'll see you guys next time.
