Chapter 11: Super Saiyan God

There was almost complete silence across the mountainside ... just the sound of the cold harsh wind could be heard.

Goku; Earth's defender, stood transformned before the mighty Tai.

Tai's eyes scanned over Goku's new form ... red hair, red eyes and a huge increase in power. 'What had happened?' He thought, 'How did he become stronger?'

"That's it" Goku spat.

"Whats?" Tai thought out loud.

"It's over Tai" Goku spat again, "You're done"

Tai began to laugh loudly and held his stomach for effect, "Goku, you are hilarious! Honestly, it's such a shame I hate you"

Goku's facial features did not change, but the aura around his body grew, "Let's end this" he said deeply.

"Bring it on" replied Tai.

King Kai stood in wonder upon his planet ... he had been watching the fight since the start. 'Could it be?' he thought, 'Has Goku become a God?'. Bubbles the monkey was jumping up and down next to him "ooing" and "aahing", "I can't believe it Bubbles" King Kai exclaimed, "He achieved it without needing help from 5 other Sayains, he has pushed himself to the limit and with the help of Grand Kai he has unlocked this power and obtained godly ki" He explained in shock, "I didn't think it was possible" he trailed off.

The ground was shaking underneath Gohan's tired defeated body. He turned over to look at his little brother who began to stir.

"Brother" little Goten murmered, "What happened?" he questioned as he sat himself up. Gohan smiled at his little brother, happy to see he was okay.

"It's okay Goten, dad transformed and he's stronger than ever and he's fighting Tai" Gohan murmered to him as he too managed to sit up.

"Waw, really?" Goten asked in amazement.

"Come on" Gohan said as he finally managed to stand himself up, "Let's go and get a closer look". Goten nodded and followed his brother to the battlefield.

Gohan and Goten climbed up the rocks and could see their father and Tai locked in a vicious battle. Promptly Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks joined their side and watched on in awe at the Saiyan warrior's new form.

"What form is that Vegeta?" Gohan asked.

"I have heard of such a form but I never thought it would be possible to reach" Vegeta spoke, "If it's what I think it is then normally this form can only be achieved when five righteous Saiyans pool their power and heart into a single member of their race. That Saiyan will then possess a tremendous power increase, allowing them to enter the realm of gods and only other gods can sense their ki and fight on par with them" Vegeta explained, "But there is another way to achieve this form, but it's rare for this to be achieved. It takes some special training to unleash this power and it seems your harpy mother was the trigger to him unlocking that power" Vegeta then paused, "he's become a super saiyan god".

"No way" Gohan muttered.

"Your father is always full of suprises" commented Yamcha who joined the group, along with Tien who held a tired Chaoutzu in his arms. Krillin and 18 soon followed.

"He sure is something else" Krillin added.

"Gohan, we need to get your mother out of there, it's not safe" Piccolo reminded the boy. Gohan nodded.

"I got it" Vegeta suddenly spoke and shot off towards Chichi's lifeless body upon the broken rocks. He landed beside her and gently scooped her up into his arms, "Woman, I don't know what he sees in you, but you have a hold on him" Vegeta murmered before flying back to the group, "I suppose we should thank you" he commented again before landing.

"Mom" Gohan called as Vegeta landed with her. Suddenly there was a huge scream full of anger errupting from Tai. The warriors shifted their attention to the battlefield.

Tai screamed with pure rage ... he felt a terrible evil burning more inside him. Goku was stronger than before ... way stronger...

"I feel sorry for you" Goku commented.

"What?" Tai spat.

"Normally I would give someone like you a second chance and the opportunity to leave this planet and never return" Goku explained, "I feel sorry for you because I won't be giving you that choice" he growled, a surge of power releasing from his body again.

Goku couldn't explain it and he couldn't quite understand what was happening to him. Surge after surge of power was bursting out of his body, and it was very hard to control. It was as though his body wasn't his own and he was just floating there going along with it.

"You're a fool if you think you can defeat me that easily!" Tai howelled as he launched towards Goku and began to attack him once more. Goku dodged and blocked his every move, this was becoming all too easy now. He clenched his right fist and threw it at Tai, knocking the powerful creature off his feet and across the ground. Tai was on his hands and knees and suddenly he began to laugh.

"What's so funny?" Goku questioned as he walked towards him.

"I was just thinking about Chichi" he said with a smirk, "I was thinking about when we first got together and how much fun we had".

Goku come to an instant hault, he could feel his one eye twitching and his heart pounding in his chest.

"Oh we had so much fun ... especially when we were alone" he remarked as he stood up to face the Saiyan God.

Goku felt his muscles tense and his viens were close to bursting.

"When this is all over, I will be taking her with me ... and I will enslave her ... she will do everything I ask her to do" He declared, "And I mean everything" he put extra volume into the word 'everything' a dirty evil smile perched on his bloody face, his tongue then licking his lips as he did.

Goku felt the surge hit him again, his body exploded from the inside out, his eyes grew wide, and his teeth grit together so hard he thought they would crack into a thousand pieces. Goku lost control and soared at an unimaginable speed towards Tai. His senses heightened, his body took control of him and he couldn't stop it.

He reached Tai and with one hard rapid move, he impaled Tai through his chest with his arm.

Tai gasped instantaneously at the impact, his pupils becoming small, his face turning pale.

The warriors gasped in shock and horror at the scene before them.

There stood the powerful Tai with Goku's full muscular arm through his chest.

"I take it back" Goku whispered closely to Tai's ear, "I don't feel sorry for you ... you desserve it" he coldly decided before roughly pulling his arm from Tai's broken body.

Tai fell almost instantly to the cold hard ground. He took a ragged last breath as he hit the rocks beneath him and then ... it was over.

There was almost complete silence across the mountainside ... just the sound of the cold harsh wind could be heard.

Goku; Earth's defender, stood triumpant over the now defeated Tai.

"Holy shit" Yamcha muttered watching the scene before him, "He's an animal"

"He's a Saiyan" Vegeta corrected, though quite shocked at Goku's actions himself. Goku never ceased to give their enemies a chance at redemption. But not this time. Vegeta looked down at the woman in his arms who began to stir, "and all because of you" Vegeta quietly acknowledged. Vegeta glanced over at his past rival and suddenly felt a sense of pride and respect for what he had done and how much he truly admired the woman he now held before him. Vegeta could understand the feeling as he too had an unbreakable bond with Bulma which he still couldn't explain to this very day, but he understood exactly how that felt.

Goku suddenly felt his body shake and the once uncontrolable power slipped through his fingers and vanished. Goku gasped as if he couldn't breathe and felt his body tense and burn. The last thing he remembered was seeing his little boy running towards him in the distance, he then hit the ground.

"DADDY!" Goten yelled in worry as he watched his father collapse to the ground. The other warriors followed Goten over to Goku's exhausted body which lay upon the now still ground.

"Dad" Gohan gently called as he bent down to see him, "You did it dad" he said proudly. Piccolo bent down and with Gohan's help they both lifted him up.

"Lets get him to the lookout" Piccolo suggested.

The cool gentle breeze caressed his face, the warm sun comforting him as he lay quietly upon the ground. He opened his one tired eye and found his friends all hovering over him. Dende gently smiled and removed his hands from Goku's chest.

"It's okay Goku, I have given you some energy" Dende confirmed as he got up to give Goku some space. Goku opened his other eye and gathered his thoughts. Vegeta and Yamcha both took an arm each and supported the Saiyan warrior to his feet.

"You okay pal?" Yamcha questioned his friend. Goku winced slightly but put a smile on his face.

"Yeah, thanks, i'm okay".

"Daddy!" Goten exclaimed as he run to him and clung to Goku's leg. Goku gently laughed and ruffled the small boy's hair.

"Hey Goten" he returned, "are you okay?".

"I'm okay" he reassured his father before looking over at Gohan. Goku looked over at his eldest son and smiled. Gohan's girlfriend Videl who recently arrived, stood next to him, a smile on her face too. Gohan walked towards his father and instantly hugged him.

"I'm so glad you're okay dad" he said, emotions soaring at the thought of his father being alive". Goku hugged his son back.

"All thanks to you guys" Goku laughed, "I'm glad you're okay too" Goku finished, holding his son a bit tighter than before.

"That was insane Goku!" Yamcha rejoiced, "I've never seen anything like it".

"What did it feel like daddy?" Goten questioned in wonder. Goku peered down at his small child in confusion.

"Honestly, I don't know. I can't explain it" Goku tried to describe, "It was like i didn't have control over my body. I kept getting these huge surges of power coming out of me and I just couldn't control it, it was such a strange experience. I wouldn't even know how to do that again" Goku said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Why don't you ask the harpy?" Vegeta mocked. Goku briefly acknowledged Vegeta's comment before taking his attention to Chichi. She stood not too far away, her beautiful long dark hair was down around her face, her fingers twiddling around as if she was anxious, her deep capturing eyes shining in the sunlight. Goku walked over to her, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Hey" he managed to get out.

"Hey" she quietly replied.

"Are you okay?" he asked in a concerned gentle tone.

"I'm okay" she replied, their gaze locked entirely, both of them with their hearts in their mouth. It felt like several minutes went past before either one of them spoke. Chichi suddenly felt her emotions get the better of her as she broke down before him.

"I'm so sorry" She cried so gently, "This is all my fault" Goku's eyes saddened at her outburst, "If I had just been loyal to you, if I had just stayed by myself, none of this would have happened ... it's all my fault" she began to sob, the tears breaking Goku's heart.

"Chichi" he gently called, "It's okay" he gently placed a shaking hand on her arm, "I understand why you did it, you didn't want to be alone and you wanted someone to help raise the boys"

"But I never stopped loving you, or missing you, or wanting you" she explained with sorrow in her voice, "I feel so selfish and guilty, I should never have-" Chichi was cut off by a firm kiss on the lips from her ex husband. The kiss lingered for a few seconds and then Goku pulled away, wondering how she would respond. Her eyes were wide and she was in shock at the contact. Chichi stared at him for a few more seconds before firmly placing her lips back on his, Goku welcoming the kiss completely.

Bulma put her hands to her mouth in shock and joy, tears forming in her blue eyes. She never felt so happy for them.

Krillin quietly let out a "yes" in cheer for his best friend. Vegeta rolled his eyes but then smiled ever so slightly as he turned away from the public display of affection.

This kiss continued a little longer, his hands cupping her face eagerly, her hands gripping onto his ripped gi around his waist. They pulled apart slightly, his forhead pressed against hers. The tears had stopped and the happiness enveloped her body. Chichi suddenly felt a small tug at her trouser leg so she glanced down at the culprit.

"Does this mean daddy can come home with us?" Goten asked his mother in excitement. Chichi looked back up at Goku who was smiling at her.

"If your mother will have me" Goku proposed.

"Of course I will have you" she responded without a second thought before wrapping her arms around his waist in a tight embrace. Goku chuckled and gently wrapped his arms around her too.

"YAY!" Goten cheered, "Ya hear that Gohan? Daddy is coming home with us!"

"I sure did" Gohan replied in pure glee, his eyes catching his father's, who then winked at him.

"Well, I think a celebration is in order!" Bulma decided as she walked towards her ship, "Shall we say 6pm tomorrow at Capsule Corp? Food, drinks and celebrations!" She cheered.

"Sounds like a plan" Goku replied to his oldest friend. Bulma winked at him in return.

Goku looked down at his Chichi, who looked up at him in return, "Sooo, does this mean I need to ask you to marry me again?" he asked with a sheepish look upon his face. Chichi blushed slightly and peered down at her feet.

"I guess so" she gently replied.

"Well Chichi", he began, taking her hands in his, "Will you marry me again?" Chichi giggled at him and jumped into his arms.

"Yes, I will marry you again" she responded to Goku's delight.

"Oh my Kami you guys!" Bulma screamed, "We have a wedding to plan!" both Goku and Chichi laughed.

Everyone went their seperate ways for the evening, to rest and recover from the days events. At the Son house, Gohan and Goten had already retired to bed, leaving Chichi to clean up the dishes from their victory meal and Goku to wander out into the garden to think. Goku enhaled the air, the smell of his home was something he had missed. He glanced around at the beautiful plants and flowers, the BBQ they always used in the summer in the corner, his tin bath a bit further up. He felt so happy and settled now he was back home, he didn't realise just how much he had missed it until now. He suddenly felt Chichi's prescence and turned to see her. She leant against the front door frame, a beautiful smile gracing her features. How he had missed that.

"You coming to bed Goku?" she gently asked him. Goku smiled and made his way over to her, he took her small hand in his and they both went back into their loving home.
