Enjoy! I have only one more chapter left after this. I can't believe this story is nearing the end.
Blaine didn't get used to it. Every time he saw Kurt and Sebastian together, he felt like his heart was being ripped out anew. The pain the sight presented never dulled. Every smile they shared, every laugh and shared glance twisted the dagger in his heart a little bit more.
The Gryffindor did his best to avoid looking at the couple but there were always times when it couldn't be helped. The worst was Potions. All three of them had made it to the NEWT level class and Blaine often found himself sitting behind the couple, who seemed oblivious to his presence.
Jeff kept a close eye on Blaine during Potions. He could see the pain in his fellow Prefect's eyes. He had been taken aback by Kurt and Sebastian dating just as much as Blaine, along with every student at Hogwarts, had.
Jeff cringed as Kurt laughed and the sound echoed throughout the classroom. Blaine flinched and took on the expression of an abandoned puppy. Jeff frowned. He didn't like how his friend was handling the situation. As the days went by, the Hufflepuff could see Blaine becoming paler and more withdrawn. Talking with Mercedes, Jeff knew that Blaine wasn't eating. The boy always seemed to lose his appetite when he spotted his ex-boyfriend. Jeff also knew that Blaine was barely sleeping due to the stress his classes were putting on him.
To put it frankly, Blaine was a mess and Jeff didn't know how to fix it.

Kurt sighed as Sebastian pulled out of him and gave him a sloppy open-mouthed kiss. He had hoped his relationship with Sebastian would be better than his previous one with Blaine but Kurt still felt like there was something missing.
Blaine was missing.
It hadn't taken long for Kurt to realize that the piece he felt missing was the piece of the relationship Blaine had filled. The only time the Ravenclaw had truly felt satisfied in his relationship was when he had been cheating on Blaine with Sebastian.
And it made him feel like a horrible person.
Was he really the type of the person that thrived on cheating on his partners? Would he become a serial adulterer in his quest to fill the empty piece in his life?
"What are you thinking so hard about?"
Kurt stiffened at the question and turned his head to find Sebastian gazing at him. Kurt shivered slightly under the intense green-eyed stare.
"I love you," he whispered. "I really do."
Sebastian stiffened. He could hear a silent "but" to Kurt's words.
"Love you too," he muttered and glanced away.
"Do you ever feel like something's missing?" Kurt asked. Sebastian swallowed nervously, wondering how Kurt had picked up on what had been plaguing him for the past few weeks. He had known the Ravenclaw was smart but he hadn't thought that Kurt would pick up on that.
"Like what?" he asked in return, trying to deflect. Kurt shrugged and shifted into a more comfortable position.
"I don't know," he admitted. "I just feel like something is missing at times. Like things aren't exactly…right."
Sebastian gave a silent sigh of relief. So Kurt was talking about his own thoughts, not what he had picked up on from Sebastian.
"Such as?" he asked again. Kurt bit his lip nervously and closed his eyes.
"I still want Blaine," he whispered in a broken voice. Sebastian tensed and sat up, prepared to leave. He knew when he was being broken up with. He had known that he didn't deserve Kurt, despite how much he wanted the Ravenclaw. Kurt deserved someone better—someone like Blaine.
And Sebastian couldn't blame Blaine for coming between him and Kurt because Sebastian wanted the Gryffindor just as much as Kurt clearly did.
Kurt continued, not noticing Sebastian's inner war.
"But I still want you," the Ravenclaw admitted. "I want both of you and I know it sounds selfish but I don't think I'll ever be truly happy with just one of you."
Sebastian froze. He looked at Kurt, who had his head turned away from the Slytherin. Tentatively Sebastian reached out and grabbed Kurt's hand. He ran his thumb over the Ravenclaw's knuckles soothingly.
"I feel the same way sometimes," he admitted quietly. Kurt's eyes snapped open in shock.
"You do?" he asked. Sebastian nodded.
"What are we going to do then?" Kurt asked. Sebastian shrugged. He had an idea but he had no idea if Blaine would even consider his proposal. Kurt probably would but he had no idea what the Gryffindor would do.
"I have an idea," he said, "but we just need to get Blaine to listen to us."
It sounded easy but it was nearly impossible to talk to Blaine alone. The Gryffindor was always surrounded by his housemates and the few times he wasn't, Jeff and Nick refused to let Kurt and Sebastian get within a few meters of the boy.
"Just leave him alone," Nick hissed after the nth time they tried. "You've already done enough. He doesn't need to be hurt anymore."
Sebastian growled and resisted the urge to punch the Hufflepuff as a wounded expression crossed Kurt's face. He would have if the Ravenclaw hadn't pulled him away.
"We'll never get to talk to him," Kurt murmured hopelessly.
"We will," Sebastian reassured his boyfriend. "We just have to be more inventive in our ways of approaching him."
Kurt turned to the Slytherin.
"Do you have any ideas, then? I believe this is supposed to be your area of expertise."
Sebastian made a face at the stereotype.
"I have an idea," he admitted. "It's sort of underhanded, though."
Kurt frowned but sighed after a minute.
"I don't care," he said. "Just do it. I can't stand seeing him so hurt. I want things to be fixed."
Sebastian nodded absently and intertwined his fingers through Kurt's lightly.
"Everything will work out in the end," he said, wishing he felt as confident as he sounded.
