The 2PM flight to December City was now arriving at the port. The moment passengers can disembark already; Akihiko hurried to the building to get his things and proceed to take another flight going to Aprilius City, where the main headquarters of the PLANTs is. It didn't take him long to change shuttles as he was on board in just 20 minutes and arrived after an hour. Cagalli sent him an email that she asked someone to fetch him. He remembered that fact as he started to look for his chaperone. When he saw a white cardboard sign with his name written on it, he approached his fetcher and introduced himself.

"Hello, I'm Akihiko Sermine." He bowed slightly to give respect to his fetcher. The person smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, I'm Shiho Hahnenfuss." The brown haired, purple-eyed Coordinator bowed to him as well, and offered to bring his things for him. Obviously, making a girl bring a guy's luggage was inappropriate so he declined her. They went to Shiho's car, that was parked a few steps from the building entrance.

"I was sent by Kira since the Princess told him that you will be coming to check the production of the three mobile suits… They were a bit relieved when she didn't get angry about it." Shiho was now driving towards the place where Akihiko will be staying. "She understood the reason for their actions, anyway…"

"I see… For once, I thought she was a close minded person. I guess I was wrong…" Shiho said as she smiled but didn't look at Akihiko since she was the one on the driver's seat. "Maybe she's open minded too… but only sometimes, though."

"I see…" Silence filled the air as they have stopped their conversation. Arriving at a hotel, they both got down and were welcomed by the employees. Shiho talked to the receptionist about the reservation and as soon as it was confirmed, she handed Shiho the keycard. Akihiko, who was sitting on the lounge, was approached by Shiho. "Here's the keycard for your room. It's on the 4th floor, room number 04."

He took the keycard from her and went straight to the elevator. Shiho followed suit, saying that she was assigned to be a guide for him for the duration of his stay. The ORB government will pay for his lodging and money will be deposited to his bank account for other financial needs. After putting his things down, they went to Kira's office to gather information.

At Kira's office, both Shiho and Akihiko sat down across Kira, who was sitting behind his desk. "Okay, so Cagalli told me about your plan to know about this… project… Am I correct?" Akihiko nodded and Kira continued. "I will give you permission to check on the development of the plan anytime you want. Even if you go there to check up on it every day, I don't mind. Now, Shiho must've told you that she will have to come with you if you want to enter the premises. Places outside the hangars and other government-owned buildings are also accessible, of course, but she will no longer accompany you. She may come, however, if she wishes to or if you invited her. Do I make myself clear?"

Akihiko nodded once again and after that, Kira handed him a brown envelope. He opened it and scanned the documents inside. The papers contained confidential information about the three mobile suits to be produced by the end of the month. Kira gave a nod at Shiho, and then she asked Akihiko to come visit the Hangar where everything will be done. He came with her after putting all the papers back to the envelope. Shiho bowed slightly and closed the door.

"So… They're only making three new ones, repairing old mobile suits and battleships, huh…" As they walked, Shiho looked at him as he said his thought out loud. "Yes. They believe that it was for protection in case the EAF decides to nuke the PLANTs again… It's highly confidential information and only people who are involved directly and indirectly know about it, including you and the princess… She must trust you very much…"

"Kira, Athrun and Shinn were talking about it when they were in ORB. I just overheard and promised not to tell anyone. My master was persistent so I told her. It was good that she wasn't as mad as I expected…" Shiho laughed at his answer as they still walked towards the hangar.

"As long as you are here, get all the information you need. No matter how useless it seems, get it. That's what you can do avoid chaos…"

"What are you saying?"

"Well, for instance, if you know someone's planning something evil, you can outright avoid it. Am I right?"

Akihiko nodded slowly as he began to understand what she meant. They finally reached the hangar where three pairs of legs are already in place. "So that's the Ego, Psyche, and Spirit Gundams… and according to the files, it was named after the human mind… or whatever."

"Lacus thought of those names for the gundams since she said that gundams act upon the order of a human. In other words, it moves with what the pilot wills it to do."

"Ah… I see then. The names seem… cheesy but I think it doesn't sound half bad to me." Shiho smiled at him and looked towards the ongoing project. "The color scheme of the mobile suits is almost the same as the Destiny, Freedom and Justice respectively. That's because those colors suit the three main pilots of the mobile suits." Akihiko nodded in agreement with her statement. "Any special features…?"

"Doesn't it say in the documents…?"

"Well I just scanned it, so I didn't see anything as detailed as that."

"Read it then." She giggled a bit at his sentence. Two pairs of eyes were watching the two as they chatted. "Oi, oi… Calm down…" The blonde haired guy stopped his friend from committing murder. The silver haired guy, who was stopped by his friend counted from 3 to 1 until he calmed down. "How are you expecting me to calm down if a stranger's flirting with my fiancée?"

"… She's your fiancée…?"
