The truth is hiding in your eyes

And it's hanging on your tongue

Just boiling in my blood

But you think that I can't see

What kind of man that you are

If you're a man at all

Well, I will figure this one out

On my own

I'm screaming, "I love you so!"

But my thoughts you can't decode

Chapter 11: The Hard Truth

The next morning Harry approached Ginny as if last night never happened much to Ginny and the others confusion. Throughout the day, Harry seemed to have came to his senses and acted like he used to. He ignored the other girls and put his whole focus on Ginny.

Ginny avoided going to Hermione's dorm as for one she noticed both Hermione and her brother were missing throughout the day, and also to avoid Draco and what almost happened the night before, which stayed in the front of her mind the whole time.

*FLASHBACK*

After the ball was over, Draco, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione walked back to Hermione and Draco's dorm. They laughed and joked about the things they had seen, like earlier, Hermione and Ron caught Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom in a broom closet ("And just what are you two doing?" asked Hermione in her best Head Girl voice. "Oh we were just trying to figure out the best way for Neville to lose his virginity in here, but we found that it's too small. Come on, there's more room in my dorm Neville" said Luna casually, as they passed by a very shocked Hermione and Ron), and Draco having to hold Blaise's shirt as he threw up in the bathroom from drinking too much of the spiked punch.

When they got to the dorm, Hermione had to force Ron into her room as he was being way too nosy with Draco and Ginny sitting and chatting on the couch in the common room.

Draco decided to be a gentleman and massaged Ginny's aching feet.

"So did you have fun" he asked.

"Of course." answered Ginny. " I had a wonderful time. I only wish that..."

"You could have had a wonderful time with Potter." said Draco finishing Ginny's sentence.

Ginny nodded. "I'm sorry. But it's the truth."

"I don't understand something. Why do you put up with Potter's bullshit?" said Draco suddenly getting serious.

"I shouldn't put up with it. To be honest I don't even feel like myself anymore. The old me wouldn't take the shit that he is putting me through. But I guess I loved and wanted him for so long, I feel like I need to still be there for him. Maybe this whole thing is a phase."

"Or maybe Potter has turned into a pompous asshole and doesn't know how to treat you right anymore." mumbled Draco.

"Aren't you a pompous asshole?" joked Ginny.

"I am but come on, I've always been the way I have. And even with me being an ass, if you were my girlfriend, I would NEVER treat you the way he treats you. The way he acts has nothing to do with ego and all to do with him being a prick. You're just too stuck up his ass to see that he isn't going to change."

Ginny's jaw dropped, feeling very much offended. "Excuse me?! I am not stuck up Harry's ass. If I was, I would have stayed in my room crying empty tears instead of going to the ball with you! So don't come out your face with that!" yelled Ginny as she slapped Draco's arm.

"I'm not going to sugarcoat shit with you Ginny, you know that. I'm not your friends in there. I'm going to be real with you. And honestly, maybe he wasn't the one that changed. Maybe you changed and he used it to his advantage."

"I beg your pardon!" exclaimed Ginny.

"Hear me out." saod Draco."You finally got your Potter. You started growing soft and he seen that. So he dropped his nice boy gentleman act and went back to the way he really was knowing that you were too into him to really stop him. The old Ginny would have dumped his ass on the train. And if not the train, she would have dumped him when she saw him in the tub. Don't sit there and lie to yourself, love. I know you a lot more than you realize."

Ginny glared at Draco. She was angry with him because she knew deep down that he was absolutely right. She had indeed changed and allowed Harry to get away with playing with her emotions. She had not intended on that to happen, but that was the reality of the situation.

"I'll apologize that your feelings are hurt because of what I said. But I won't apologize for being honest with you." said Draco lifting up Ginny's chin.

"I get it. And I actually thank you for being truthful to me, instead of trying to protect my feelings. I need that." said Ginny, staring into Draco's eyes.

Draco against his better judgement leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. But when he pulled back from her cheek, Ginny, very much against her better judgment, crashed her lips into his.

At first Draco couldn't believe what was happening. Then he started kissing her back. Their tongues seemed to dance just as sensual as they had on the dance floor hours before. He took the pins out that was holding her hair in place and let her hair down, running his fingers through her fiery mane.

She pushed him back onto the couch and laid on top of him, kisses getting stronger and more lust filled. She moaned as she felt his hand scratch up her thigh.

He rose up and pushed her into her back on the couch as he kissed and devoured her neck. Forgetting he had actual fangs his "gentle nibble" actually turned into a bite, and left two fang marks on Ginny's neck.

Ginny opened her eyes and pushed Draco off of her. She put her hand on her neck and felt the warm blood on her fingers.

"Shit! Ginny I'm so so sorry!" said Draco both shocked and oddly turned on.

"No no it's fine. It was needed. I was getting carried away. We were getting carried away. I gotta go." Ginny said getting up.

"No Gin, don't go!"

"I have to Draco. This can't happen. You know it can't." said Ginny feeling herself tear up. She picked up her cloak and ran out of the dorm not looking back at Draco's hurt face.

*END FLASHBACK*

"Care to take a fly with me before dinner?" asked Harry as he and Ginny walked towards the Quidditch pitch.

"Alright" said Ginny not trying to appear too excited. It had been a long time that she had been on a broom with Harry. Some of their most fun moments happened on a broom.

She sat in front of him as he mounted his Firebolt 2.0. and took off into the air. He did a few trick maneuvers trying to freak Ginny out knowing that it would excite her more than frighten her, and then he flew them high into the sky, into the clouds.

"I wanna apologize for last night Gin."said Harry in her ear. "Not for bringing Susan, but for basically ignoring you all night. You looked really pretty."

"Oh. Well I mean you had your friend to attend to and I had mine so I'm not too upset." said Ginny with attitude in her voice.

"Yeah about that. Why did you go with Malfoy of all bloody people?" snapped Harry.

"Because he asked me. We were there as friends as well. I wasn't going to show up by myself if you weren't Harry."

"I get that but Malfoy? Come on, he's a total prat."

"Funny. He says the same thing about you." smirked Ginny.

Harry scowled. "Oh so you two talk about me? What are you, best friends now?"

"Harry, save it." sid Ginny, scooting forward and turning around to face him, "You've been acting like a prat for weeks. Hell months, and you know it. Feeding into your harem of whores. And I fucking sat there and let you!"

"Ginny stop! It was never like that! I never cared for any of them, it has always been you!" said Harry.

"Bullshit!" yelled Ginny

"Think however you want. You wanna talk about me being surrounded by lots of women? Let's talk about you and Malfoy practically fucking on the dance floor last night! Oh yeah I saw that shit!" said Harry, causing Ginny's jaw to drop.

"GOOD! I'm glad you did! Maybe if you were a real boyfriend, you would have stepped up and did something about it!" yelled Ginny.

"Oh so you just did that to prove something to me?"

"No! We were just dancing. I seen you too! You danced with that Susan slag way worse than what me and Draco did!"

"Susan isn't a slag!" said Harry as he descended. "Susan is one of my closest female friends."

"No, Hermione is one of your closest female friends. So what you're replacing her with Susan? You would dance with Hermione like that?"

"Hermione is like my sister, I could never!" said Harry, grossed out.

"Yeah. That and the fact that my brother would kick your ass." said Ginny hopping off the broom as they made it to the ground.

"Just like I should kick Malfoy's right? But nooooo he was just a friend." mocked Harry.

"Harry, just leave me alone. If you really cared so much how Draco was on me, you would have done something about it last night. Stop lying to me. I'd rather you tell me a horrible truth than a beautiful lie."

And with that Ginny ran away from the pitch leaving Harry alone with his thoughts.
