Returning

The six new CHERUB grey-shirt agents walked side by side out of the training compound after having arrived merely 10 minutes earlier, only two figures awaited them, one of which was Kate's twin Ellie, the other was jake. Jamie had shooed the others away from helping him walk claiming he was perfectly fine, even though his right foot was strapped up with a hole in it. Sadly because of new rules only those related to the newly mission ready agents could see them. That was why only Ellie was standing there. Jake on the other hand was allowed to welcome them back because he's Jamie's closest friend and as Jamie hadn't been in CHERUB for long they thought it may be nice for him to see a familiar face, other than his fellow trainees. "Everyone heard about what you did to Speaks! "Jake yelled "Not to sure whether I should welcome you back as a hero or kick you in the balls" He grinned.

"Hey! How was I supposed to know he was specifically putting me through hell because of Zara!... Then again I really don't feel bad about paralysing him for a few hours , he deserved it" Jamie replied with half opened eyes.

He looked towards Kate's reunion with her sister and faintly smiled. He's an only child so he kinda envied what the twins had... But only slightly. Ellie noticed Jamie's staring and sent a Glare his way. Apparently she still hates him. Jake also noticed "I've tried to talk to her but... She's really stubborn" he said. Jamie looked back to his friend and simply smiled. "Thanks... But I guess it's up to me to set things right... Hmm.. Would she forgive me if I let her shoot me in the foot?..Doubt it" jake couldn't believe what he heard.

"Were you seriously thinking about letting her shoot you!?" He yelled at a volume that could be considered loud but quite enough so only the two of them heard.

"It was only in the foot... But nope, I was only kidding... Though, what's the problem? I've been shot in the leg, getting shot in the foot won't make much difference" he stuck his tongue out at in a mischievous manner as they all began to walk towards their rooms.

"Jesus Christ ... It feels so weird to be walking through these corridors again" Jamie muttered. They hadn't changed one bit other than how they were Empty, though then again that was simply due to kids being in lessons. "Are you sure your gonna be alright? I heard about your injury" Jake's voice had been laced with worry. Jamie stopped walking and adjusted his weight. "Oh... That, it was just a bang to the head, the only problem is I feel a little dizzy. "

"You call bashing your head on concrete A 'Bang to the head'? Even you have your limits to being plain Psycho!"

"Meh..." He shrugged sheepishly, he'd definitely been in a ton of pain at the time but once it was cleaned up all it was were a small gash and bruising so nothing serious,

"Seriously though, what was up with you final training... It was definitely over the top..." Thinking back to the 'training mission' was definitely not a favoured activity. He heard from the Chairwoman Zara that the second part was more focused on him, which was why he were the only one who had to enter the warehouse. It was to prove that Jamie would no longer resort to killing in self-defence, instead he renders the target or assailant unconscious either by chemicals or simply by knocking them out.

They were just about to round the corner when they bumped into Zara herself.

"Ah! Jamie, I was just coming to find you " he blinked in surprise.

"T-This doesn't happen to have something to do with me... Uh... Temporarily paralysing speaks this morning... Does it? " Zara's eyes widened.

"You didn't" she sighed apparently she hadn't a clue.

"You did hear that he picked on you because I asked him to?"

"I do now... But I found out after I'd slathered him in a... Large dose of the... Concoction I learnt and dropped a laxative down his throat..."

"Where did you get that!"

"I found it as I was wobbling out of that damn warehouse"

"Ah... Well... either way, please come to my office and Jake had better get back to class" Jake groaned saying bye to Jamie and making his way done the corridor. they walked through the corridor rather slowly because of Jamie's injury but eventually they made it there.

Upon entering the Chairwoman's room Jamie found his handler Kerry, Jennifer Mitchum whom he was surprised to see along with an unfamiliar man dressed in a formal military suit. Zara moved to sit in her seat and motioned for Jamie to sit In the one facing her desk. "Have I done something wrong?" Were the first words to pass the young agents lips. However to Jamie's surprise The adults all laughed in unison. "No no, You've done exceptionally well, I'd like to introduce you to colonel Michael Ford, he's the man who's in charge of those men you fought in the warehouse" Jamie blinked.

"Wait... Those were trained soldiers then?" The Colonel Ford looked away awkwardly. "I'm sure their morals have been shattered being knocked unconscious by a kid.. " he muttered. Jamie was grinning hearing that though there was still one thing bugging him. "Did you know the leader shot me in the leg? After I'd taken him down to the ground?"

"That was a test to see whether you'd shoot him back." Zara cut in. "If you'd shot him or killed any of the men inside the warehouse then we'd have failed you, if you killed them all, we would have had to kick you out of CHERUB"

Jamie nodded, it all sounded reasonable. "Now then, I think there's something you've kept from us, isn't there?" The young agent gulped.

"W-what are you talking about?" Jennifer cut in, raising the tablet she held and played a short bit of footage, namely the part where Ghost took over. Jamie sighed."so... What do you want to know?" Zara motioned for James and Colonel ford to leave them in which they both complied. Leaving behind only Kerry, Zara, Jennifer and Jamie himself.

"First of all, when did 'It' first appear" Jamie sighed, closing his eyes, snapping his fingers and a few moments later he yelled. "I'm not a fucking 'It' and I have a name!" He yelled, obviously Ghost had slipped in taking Jamie's place.

The three adults were taken surprise by his sudden outburst and the first to recover was Jennifer. "I take it you're Jamie's split personality?" Ghost ran his fingers through his Raven black-hair and sighed. " yes, do I need to have a fricken sign above my head saying. 'I'm Jamie's other fucking personality!'" Once again the adults were caught off guard by Ghost's vulgar mouth. "Look, stop talking like I belong to Jamie! This body is as much mine as it is his!" Jennifer frowned as Ghost continued. "Hell, you can even fucking ask him what he thinks on the matter, and I'd bet my my fucking beating heart that he'd reply in the exact same way." He stood and kicked the Chairwoman's desk as hard as he could and returned to sitting in the interrogation seat.

The three women were taken back by how emotional he'd gotten, but were also worried what would happen if they pissed him off any further. But eventually Jennifer pushed on. "How come there were no signs of you up 'till now?"

"I was sleeping" Ghost sighed. Jennifer dumbfounded, he was sleeping? Is that even possible? These were the kind of fought a swirling around Jennifer's mind. Ghost sighed, it was obvious no one believed him, not that it matters, let them think what they want, it won't change anything.

Standing on the other side of the door were James and Colonel Ford; who were speaking about an upcoming mission when the heard a few yells and shouts coming form within the small office. "So, about that mission. Do you think Jamie would be up to the task?" Asked Colonel Ford. This was the real reason why he lent his men to CHERUB, he wanted their help with something. "I bet he'd love to join in, you heard what he did to Speaks? " the Colonel smirked, he'd heard the stories and were the main reason he wanted Jamie on the team. James nodded and continued. "Though, he'd need to go on a couple security check missions first"

Once again the Colonel nodded.

When Ghost- well, at this point it was Jamie; had been allowed to leave the room he'd been dead-tired and planned on sleeping, he barely noticed the two men trying to get his attention. 'Urg, she really get on my nerves!' Ghost's voice wrung in Jamie's head and he inwardly smirked Muttering "calm down you idiot"

When James placed his hand on the shoulder of the young agent Jamie practically jumped out of his skin. Turning around ready to fight he realised it was James. "Bloody hell, do that!" A grin ran across his face making it impossible to take him Seriously. "Sorry about that, but this is urgent." The grin had gotten even bigger.

"How would you like your fist mission?" Jamie nodded ecstatically.

"What's it gonna be?" He asked excitedly remembering what Mr Axel had said about missions. "Whoa there calm your jets. " James chuckled "it's nothing big just a security run, you still up for it?"

Jamie's expression said it all. James nodded his head. "Alright, I'll call you to mission-prep in a couple days."

A few hours later Jamie was sat in his room thinking about things when he heard a knock. Wondering who it could be he answered to find Ellie standing there.

'Well fuck me, this will all end well now won't it?' Ghost's voice once again echoed in Jamie's head with an easily discernible with s hint if sarcasm. Jamie sighed. "So... What do you want?" He asked. Even without Ghost saying anything he knew this wouldn't -couldn't end well. Ellie opened her mouth, then closed and opened it again, she obviously couldn't - find the words and it was only when Kate answered for her he understood. "She wants to forgive you but it's not in her stubborn nature, meaning" she paused for a moment, trying to gauge what his reaction would be. "She wants one V one fight, if she wins you have to do whatever she wants for a week and as long as you do so she will forgive you, or if you win she will forgive you and do one thing you ask of her" Jamie sighed.

'Well, this is certainly unexpected'

Around ten-minutes later Jamie and Ellie were facing each-other on the mats with Kate off to the side acting as ref and Jake leaning against the wall, waiting for the match between his two close-friends to begin. 'So, how we gonna do this? Am I just gonna fight or...' Ghost began to speak in Jamie's head and waited for his response. "Both of us will fight, me first round you the second" he muttered it making sure nobody could hear. 'Alright'

something that would surprise people when they find out about someone with a split-personality disorder. Normally, the two personalities wouldn't be able to speak to each other very easily, however. Ghost wasn't formed because of Jamie's first murder. No, the truth was when Jamie was around eight years-old he'd been in a car accident with caused slight brain-damage but not something that couldn't be repaired easily by the brain itself. As Jamie was lying in his hospital bed he wanted someone to speak to him, not just anyone but a family member, after a month without seeing his father of even a familiar face. He cracked, Ghost was born and he filled the void his father left even before he died.

Living with a second personality made him... Not the most popular person in class cause of his random mood-swings the result of the other him taking over and it took some time for his classmates to play with him, but when they realised he hadn't changed much nobody really disliked him. Who could? He saved his classmates from bullies heck, even bullies were afraid of him. It was around this time Ghost got his name. One of their friends gave him a small badge with a ghost on it, and whenever ghost took over he'd clip it to his shirt letting them know it was him.

Because of all they'd gone through the two trusted each other and any decision they made.

Jamie was lost in memories as Kate signalled for the start of the match. Ellie came dashing toward him and performed a round house kick towards his head. 'Jamie!'

"Shit!" He raised his left hand to block and easily succeeded, even if it left him with a dead arm and came round to counter. Sweeping her legs out and throwing a couple light jabs between her ribs. A good way to knock someone to the ground and not Seriously injure them. Ellie stayed like that for a couple second and long enough for it to be counted as Jamie's win. 'My turn... And, your probably gonna hate me for this' Jamie was left in confusion when Ghost slipped in.

"Come on then, let's get this over with" he said. Ellie had recovered and already dashing towards him. Ghost did his 'best' yet he was still taken to the floor. "Shit!"

He yelled in pain and frustration. "One all" Kate said in the background. 'Please don't tell me you intend to lose?' The voice of Jamie wrung through Ghost's head who simply smirked. "Uh... Round two?" Kate spoke timidly, nobody wanted to get between these two right about now.

First Ghost dashed forward attempting to knock Ellie's legs from under her yet failed miserably. Leaving himself open and Ellie quickly pinned him. She whispered in his ear "all is forgiven... And I'll be thinking of what I'll have you do for me" Jamie and Ghost gulped.

Jamie was worried to what is to happen whilst Ghost had instantly begin to regret his decision to lose.

A/N: Welp, a bit later than planned but still, here it is, on and there's a lot more of Ghost then originally planned due to how much you guys in the Reviews liked , and the reason the two communicate? well, it should have been answered earlier but Ghost originally emerged before Jamie's first murder and due to being a only and neglected child.

Now... Anyone read BZRK Or the Maze-Runner series? If you haven't i Seriously recommend giving them both a try, tho I gotta warn you, The maze runner books begin to get worse after the first in my opinion they do anyway. Next up on my book list is finishing the black-magician trilogy, another book series my dad bought me yet I can't re,ember the name of, re-read the gone series and finally read the new Department 19: Zero Hour book that's coming out sometime soon

and I should probably stop the AN here, next up, Jamie's first little mission.
