Hey there lovely folks, I am back after a break, and hopefully I will able to write more. And now, the York Shin missing arc is about to take a new turn so stay tuned and read it on.

And without any delay, let's begin my new chapter...

Chapter 6: Secrets and Obligations

Killua and Gon activated the Zetsu, as soon as they found a suspicious trace of aura moving towards the purple Renault Sedan. They followed it in a geometrical pattern and they completely blended their rhythm of breathing with the strange aura and Killua's assassin talents of trailing were superb.

They jumped over building to building and blended themselves in the shadows of the city. Gon's ears were ten times sharper than a hound and his nose was no different from it. He continuously sniffed the aura and the more he sniffed, the more intense his Zetsu became.

'Gon, I think they will take the national highway... You go right towards the town square and tail them by the flyover... And I go left towards the Angleton Avenue and trail them from there... Make sure then can't see you- '

Before Killua could finish his words the pattern of the aura from the opposition party changed; to be overt, it almost disappeared. The course suddenly took a U-turn and Gon completely lost his trail. He stood there looking for the trace... That was strange, but suddenly he felt the pressing aura around Killua... and in a split second it all happened.

Killua's azure orbs widened in fear and before he could open his mouth to speak, a swift black hand covered his mouth and he saw the same thing happening to Gon, before his reflexes could take their turns they were hurled headlong to the highway and slammed right in front of the purple Renault Sedan, which drifted and braked noisily.

Killua and Gon had been hold by the mystery persons, so tightly that even Killua thought his bones will break. He struggled to break free but his eyes turned to the soft slam of the car's door and a sleek porcelain leg clad with Neon pink stilettos clanked towards his face. Killua tried not to look upwards; he had always 'problems' with the 'view'... it looked so perverted. But soon his problem was solved, a lady with vivid pink eyes wearing a tight bun and glossy leather trench coat bend on his face.

'Do you have any idea of what you have done?' the lady spoke in a stone cold voice 'what on earth were you thinking of chasing my car?'

Killua couldn't fathom his astonishment but his words had been snatched right from his mouth 'Rene-san? What are you doing here?' Gon asked pinned on the ground, but the one he had asked completely shrugged that off 'you know, if I make one phone call, you will lose your job and your license will be cancelled' she said sternly 'you just interrupted me' Rene shook in cold fury 'and the whole, sensitive, top secret mass abduction case?'

Killua gasped 'how did you-' then he made himself rethink 'oh my god... Don't tell me' Rene huffed hopelessly and stated as it was the most obvious thing 'yes! I am the newly appointed executive detective' Gon wasn't bit of surprised which annoyed Killua 'did you know about that?' Gon shook his head and said 'nope... but I thought she might be' Killua heavily swetdropped at him.

Rene softened up a little bit and told them to let them go, the moment the turned around they knew who they were at the instant...

'Knuckle and Shoot-san... Long time no see!' Gon waved at them like they are a family meeting after decades. Killua facepalmed and said 'did you forget they slammed us not a minute ago?' Knuckle boomed a laughter and patted Killua's back 'sorry kiddo, but Morel-san told us to protect Miss Rene-'

'-Who does not need it!' Rene cut in 'if it wasn't your Morel-san's stubbornness' Rene cut in and Shoot glared at her, 'anyway... there must be a reason that they slammed you in front of my car...' Rene waited for an explanation but Killua arrogantly turned his face 'I am not obliged to explain' Rene did not spoke a word but dialled her phone; Gon came to the rescue and stopped her.

'R-Rene san... Wait' Gon uttered nervously 'that's not what he meant... please' Gon pleaded to her, and with a sceptical look she put down her phone and breathing in relief Gon went to persuade Killua, who after a lot of toil agreed to open his mouth 'alright...but it's a long story... it's too complicated...'

'Then explain... I am all ears' Rene said with a concealed anger.

Killua huffed and Rene gestured her 'bodyguards' to leave and beckoned them to come inside the car, closing the windows and locking the doors. Killua slowly told everything and while listening, Rene didn't even twitch. Killua was a bit shaking while telling. Rene breathed after Killua was finished; she did not say another word and looked down. Killua timidly looked at her face which was unreadable.

'I see you are very shocked at your sister's abduction, but I do not get your anxiety... it is... Unlike a hunter'

'That's what I told him-' Gon cut in but Rene stopped him at a single wave of hand and her piercing pink eyes scanned Killua's face 'I doubt you are hiding a dire point...' at her word Killua looked at her with undiluted astonishment and lowered his face with a guilty face. Killua hesitated for some moments and then looked at Gon with a helpless face and Gon patted him in his shoulder and then Killua faced Rene...

'You were right, I was... but it's so dangerous and sensitive that I couldn't let the commission know, after being well-informed of my family and the bounties they carry in their heads... so I had no choice'

Rene looked away for a moment to make sure they were completely alone, then she winded up the keys... 'It's getting late, let's talk while driving.'

Tess was stirring some mashed potatoes for dinner, while casseroles sizzled in the oven. Megumi was cleaning the desktop of the front table. Wiping the sweat off her forehead Megumi looked at Tess and her head wrinkled in a frown.

'Tess, are you all right? You look peaky.' Megumi said with a bit of worried tone 'too much pressure I guess?' Megumi threw a passive question but a subtle curiosity of a genuine friend's concern was hidden beneath it. Tess lift up her face a bit and she looked at Megumi with mild surprise, 'I guess, nothing hides from you isn't it?' Tess said and smiled wryly; Megumi's reply on the other hand was quite carefree 'no... you are too easy to read comparing to Kegan or Rene... I can tell when you guys are sad or angry... it's difficult with the two of them, but now I can tell... So what's bothering you Tess, you look worried!' Megumi said.

Tess put her spoon aside and looked lower 'I don't know Megumi-chan, but some odd things are happening to me... Really odd...' followed by Megumi's questioning look, she continued 'at first, I thought it was just a mistake... an imagination, but now I really think someone is stalking me.'

Megumi is the softest and the most naive person of the four, but instead of getting afraid or laughing at the friend's weird imagination, her face became grim 'you too?' Tess' expression changed from suspicion to fear 'What do you mean?' Megumi straightened up and folded her arms beneath her breast 'last Tuesday... The day Killua-san and Gon-san visited my bakery, after they left, the shop went pretty crowded and it was pretty late till we closed the shop... when I was strolling on the pavement, I followed a strange feeling just behind my back... I can't express how it was... its like-'

'Faint, yet strong and cold' Tess said grimly.

Suddenly a creak of door followed by a slam and Kegan entered the room. 'Good evening everyone... ' she briskly said and threw her combats to the right side of the door and sniffed 'mmmm... Chicken casserole isn't it!' but abruptly stopped at the faces of the girls 'what's up with you lot?' she asked.

'We were saying somebody has been stalking us' Tess said and Megumi nodded.

Kegan frowned at them, totally annoyed with the subject 'Stalking... Well that's funny... Maybe that's your secret admirers...' she slumped on the chair 'really girls... I expected more from you'

'But Kegan-' Megumi protested.

'Do you know anyone in the York shin who might cause you harm or likely to confess to you?' at her question both shook their heads 'see? You're barking at the wrong tree... now stop being such a pussy and give me the damn dinner, I am fucked hungry!'

Rene's car glided smoothly without any sound and she looked briefly at Killua who sat beside her, then she passed a glance to Gon, who got up from the sit and patted Killua on his back 'Killua, you said that only the executive can help us, you have to tell her...' Killua impatiently shook his head, slightly angry 'I know Gon... I know...' he took a deep breath and looked at Rene 'We are five siblings... The eldest is Illumi, then Milluki, after him it's I then come Alluka and Kalluto... most of our siblings are Manipulators, but I and Alluka are exceptions... Unlike me she is a specially-able child... her Nen was never stable' Killua lowered his eyes and Rene looked sympathetic 'when we used to do jobs, she used to be locked in a room with toys and stuff... Nobody could go near her... she is locked inside a vault, everyone think of her as a tool, not a family... ' Killua choked in his voice 'in a normal time, she is not harmful at all... But what makes her our worst nightmare, is her powers... her Nen'

Rene's eyes, sharpened and her driving went fast, Gon was listening to the conversation with an unusual rapture, he could tell Killua was shrunken in fear 'she has this power... She can grant wishes-'

Gon looked at him with mild disbelief 'Wishes... that doesn't seem to be a dangerous thing! Are you sure-' he stopped dead at Rene's piercing glare

Killua grunted in disagree 'no... that's not it, if a person grants three wishes of her at a row... she would grant any one of his wish... But there is a problem... if anyone rejects her wishes four times in a row... then...'

Rene looked at him with mild curiosity and Killua looked as if he saw the death by himself 'She will kill the person... and not only the said one, but also everything will be demolished inside the 10 metre radius... all things will be blown up.'

Rene looked away and her frown intensified, Gon's eyes was widened at the secrets that had pressed his best friend's bosom 'my family is afraid to handle anything where is she involved, even my Mother, who is a skilled hypnotist, cannot control her... and apart from her Nen, she is not trained and combative as the rest of us'

An awkward silence wrapped the car, Gon was angry and disappointed and looked at Killua with hurt expression, nobody but Rene spoke up 'your sister, may seem harmless, but either way she is as lethal as anything... if the abductor is smart enough, he can use her powers for her gain, like he could wish that we never catch him or something more dangerous than that... and if he rejects her four times, he would get out of the range and at one instant everything will be destroyed... Now the question is how to find her.'

Suddenly Rene's phone ringed and she switched it to her Bluetooth 'Hello, Rene Jonson speaking...'

The speaker on the other side was quite shaky on his tone 'Miss Jonson, you have to hurry... President has called you... it's an emergency... please...' Rene hung up on him after saying a mild word of approve, then she looked at the boys

'Looks like you have to walk from here... sorry, Netero-san has called me' Rene said.

'But... We want to go with you...' Gon demanded and he looked determined. 'No, you can't... it is I who has been summoned, not you' Rene said sternly.

'But...'

'Look here, Gon-san, if you disobey my orders, you might end up into a big trouble, so do what you are told and leave this place at once' Rene sternly said and Killua felt like he was being kicked from the car, although she said her stuff pretty normal way... she was really someone who can make herself clear with words. Killua grunted disapprovingly and got himself out of the car and Gon followed him.

'Although you need no saying, but I would suggest you not to breath any word what happened between us... that would be best for everyone...'

And without wasting any more time Rene flew with her purple sedan.

This may feel a bit of incomplete, but I tried to create a cliffhanger, so that what happens between Killua and Gon (oh yes... a sneak peek of the next chappie) remains a secret...

And I am sorry... lots of studies going on... my head is going to blast...

And I have collected all the gooey bits of my splattered brain (ew! Can't believe I did that) and managed to scribble this shit up...
