Mira sat in a waiting room with Steve, staring apprehensively at Suzianna who had walked in with a clipboard. She swore that she heard a scream just a couple seconds ago, but when she turned to ask Steve, she saw he had his phone out and was wearing headphones. She sighed, stood, and walked over to the scientist.
"What happened? I heard a scream. Are the animatronics okay?" Mira asked, twisting her fingers anxiously. Suzianna grimaced. Mira stared at her expectantly. Suzianna seemed to ponder whether she should tell her or not. Finally she sighed.
"Everything went fine with Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie, but Foxy...uh..." Suzianna trailed off. Mira felt her throat go dry and her eyes began to sting. Suzianna remained silent and started jotting things down onto her board. Mira gulped and patiently waited for and answer. The blonde pushed up her glasses while Mira wrung her hands together and looked pleadingly at her.
"Foxy must've misinterpreted Tony's directions during the beginning procedure, because on the scales, it read that he had felt an enormous amount of pain from the electrical shocks. After a couple seconds, the readings dropped to nothing. Tony feared it was because Foxy had...well...anyway, it seems Foxy thankfully managed to apply an emergency shut down so the transformation could continue as planned. He is alright, Mira," she finally said, looking up from her clipboard. Mira swallowed down some of her worry.
"Is it alright if I watch the transformation take place?" She asked, scratching her arm awkwardly. Suzianna smiled suddenly.
"Go right ahead, I'll lead you to the operation room." She turned and strode down the hallway, Mira following hurriedly. Suzianna came to a stop at the end of the hallway where an angry red sign bolted onto a door read: DO NOT ENTER. Mira raised an eyebrow then pursed her lips and commenced to follow Suzianna through the doors. Inside were machines similar to ones Mira had seen in a hospital when her aunt was getting knee surgery two summers ago. She had seen glimpses of machines from other rooms that were very much like these, and were just as terrifying.
"Those things reminds me of several horror movies," she remarked. Suzianna rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, the clips with stupidly horrible story lines? Um, no. We actually use these to help people have a better understanding of a human's capabilities instead of screwing with their minds with an ugly guy in a mask," she said irritably, "Why did you even watch those?" Mira laughed softly.
"I dunno. Was bored I guess." Suzianna snorted, muttering something about her being a weirdo as Mira thoroughly scanned the room, noting each detail her forgetful brain cared to remember. Her eyes landed on a large, strange, cylindrical device with limp metal rods hanging around it from the ceiling. Wires were attached to each end and spiral tubes connected the machine to other objects like a plain white box sitting next to it. Tanks of both red and yellow liquid sat next to the white box.
"What are they doing?" Mira asked. Suzianna scratched her nose for bit as she thought.
"Well, from how I see it as it is right now, they have just begun the procedure, but they have already scanned Foxy's animatronic body to search for any possible DNA of the child forced inside him. Many results came up, even some pictures, so we were able to create an adult version of the child using the calculations on our computers of the DNA and some tinkering of our own. So in the end result, he'll look sort of like a crazy pirate guy or something with red hair. Mira raised a brow.
"Crazy pirate guy?" She put her hands on her hips, shaking her head. "You of all people, Suzianna, verbal precision, please!" Suzianna scoffed.
"When has that mattered where ever we're concerned?" She chuckled, but quieted quickly as she started to walk over to her brother who was typing furiously at his computer. Mira followed and peered over the blonde twins' shoulders at the screen. Suzianna sniffed and habitually scratched her nose again.
"How's it going?" She asked. When Tony didn't respond, she stood up and sighed. "We've lost him."
"It's going perfectly fine, everything is impeccably timed and I have no doubt that we'll have a full-fledged human-being in the development tube. But, a few of these readings do worry me a bit," he said, speaking more to Mira than his sister who had addressed him, "Phoebus sent me some info of the other animatronics. There are these weird 'ghost detector' gizmos attached to our machines, and don't ask me why. Suzianna got them because she likes spending my money-"
"No I don't!" Suzianna defended, but Tony ignored her and went on.
"Apparently, there are 'souls' in the animatronics. According to the screens on the ghosty-thingamajigs, they're just gray floaty spheres with two black stripes running horizontally across its surface parallel to each other. That's pretty crazy right?" Tony said. Mira and Suzianna hummed in agreement. Mira studied the cascade of numbers and words covering the entire screen.
"What do you guys think it means?" She asked, frowning. Mira suddenly wished Steve was there to see this. He'd probably come up with a crazy reason for the appearance of the 'souls'. Tony shrugged and Suzianna crossed her arms thoughtfully.
"Well...uh... Y'know what? I have no clue so I'm not gonna talk," she muttered before walking away to attend other controls on different contraptions. Mira watched as Tony continued to type, his fingers expeditiously flying over the control board and the screens changing faster than Mira's sluggish mind could process. Tony suddenly stopped, mumbling rapidly to himself beneath his breath. The screen changing slowed as he carefully searched through the large variation of icons on the gigantic monitor. Finally, he had found what he was looking for and pulled up a loading screen which he shrunk and placed in a corner. He clicked a couple other things and a hiss of steam brought Mira's attention to the robotic arms surrounded the cylinder-tube-machine-thingy. The top of the tube opened up, a whirring noise sounding as doors opened up toward the ceiling.
The arms twitched and sparked to life and immediately set to work on whatever lay inside the tube. Some arms were hands, some were brushes or a different kind of tool. Mira held her nose as the sudden stench of rotten flesh filled the air.
"Oh god! What is that?! It smells awful!" Mira exclaimed, gagging. Tony wrinkled his nose as well, his hands poised over the control board.
"It's remarkable really," he began, coughing slightly, "When that murderer stuffed his child victims into these old suits, the children's bodies somehow fused with the metal and wires and became almost-perfectly preserved within the metal, faux fur, and cloth. And imagine how weird it was, when we were kids, we were hugging these things with dead children inside them. I don't remember smelling something revolting at the pizzeria except for Marcus' farts whenever he and his posse attacked me. Again, freaking remarkable that these bodies haven't completely decomposed." Scratching sounds of wire brushes against metal filled the air and more steam floated over the doors. Mira coughed as well, the smell making her dizzy.
"So what are those things doing to Foxy?" She asked.
"They are disassembling him and cleaning the parts."
"Why?"
"Because I have a strange feeling about this particular human transition." Mira glanced at him. Tony looked very concentrated on the robotic arms, his eyes hard, a no-nonsense demeanor settled professionally over him. Mira sighed, feeling her gut twist awkwardly. She had a bad feeling about this, but Tony was the expert here and is her best friend's twin brother, she had to trust him in this situation. Her eyes followed the hand tipped arms as they picked up now-shiny parts of Foxy's inner metalwork. They carefully placed the parts on a nearby table before going back for more material.
After about a fifteen minutes, the arms stopped moving and rose away from the machine as the doors slowly shut. Mira looked up from her phone at Tony who had gotten up and walked over to another control panel on the machine. She walked over and peeked over his shoulder at what he was doing. The panel blinked and blooped with flashy dials and shiny buttons. After fussing with some controls, Tony turned quickly and headed back to his computer. Steam began to hiss again and Tony's yellow-suited assistants started to leave. Suzianna walked back over, a composition book in her hand. Tony glanced at his sister, then promptly took out his own composition book. Mira stood awkwardly a couple feet away, her hands stuffed uselessly in her vest pockets.
"What are you guys doing?" Mira asked. Suzianna peered up at her over her glasses, then looked back down at her book.
"We are writing down what we've done so far. Since the robots we're using are unique and one-of-a-kind, we altered the procedure the slightest bit to accommodate our new hypotheses based on some of the logic sprung from our past accomplishments, therefore we have to jot down our work so if scientists after our time somehow run into an obstacle similar to our scenario, they might be able to surpass it using our recordings," she replied, setting down her notebook onto Tony's desk. Mira nodded understandingly. Suzianna yawned and glanced over at the pile of gleaming metal.
"Bro, do we need those things in here?" Suzianna asked, looking questioning oh at her brother. Tony flicked his eyes at the pile.
"Nah." At this, Suzianna walked over and talked with her assistants in shiny suits of white. Mira remained standing and blankly watched as the white suited people went and wheeled Foxy's parts away out of the room, three of them returning moments later. Mira's gaze whipped to Suzianna.
"What are they doing? They're not gonna throw that away, are they?" She asked, eyes wide with concern. Suzianna shook her head.
"Why? We just spent all the time cleaning them. Jeez, Mira, you sound like you did at '87, 'NO DON'T THROW HIM AWAY!'" Suzianna mimicked in a stage whisper, flapping her hands randomly. Mira huffed, hurt by the jest of that sensitive subject, and she crossed her arms and looked away. Suzianna immediately stopped her flapping and stared at Mira seriously as she realized her mistake.
"Sorry bud, I didn't mean to bring back bad memories..." The blonde murmured quietly while she stepped closer to her friend. The banker said nothing. Suzianna slowly outstretched her finger and poke Mira's cheek. Mira wasn't able to resist a smile. Suzianna grinned triumphantly and raised her hands in the air as if she were receiving an applause.
"Suzi. It's time," Tony said, cutting in. Suzianna's childish air instantaneously dispersed as she went to the computer and stared typing in more controls as Tony got up and gave her his seat. While Tony went off to do something else at some other control place, Mira stepped up behind Suzianna, trying to read what the scientist was typing. Something about the placement of the machines and which order they were supposed to work in, was what Mira could translate from the explosion of numbers, unknown words, symbols and pictures. Mira nibbled on her lower lip, unsure of what to do now as she straightened her back and walked over to a seat a couple feet away. Suzianna was muttering beneath her breath nonsense Mira couldn't translate, the blonde's fingers flying over the keyboard almost as fast as her brother. Tony came back moments later to go over what Suzianna had prepared and added his own touches to it.
"Yeah, that should do it," Mira heard Tony say softly, "I'm gonna begin he same thing on Bonnie, you start this one and then take care of Chica. Mira can stay here and report what she sees."
"'Kay." Mira raised an eyebrow as she got up and wandered over.
"I'm doing what now?" She asked slowly, eyebrows knitted together. As Suzianna explained instructions to Mira, Tony rolled his eyes and typed in a few last minute codes into the computer until the girls finished talking.
"Alright," he clasped his hands together, "I'll be goin' now, have fun kiddo." He saluted Mira then walked out of the room. Suzianna snorted and motioned for Mira to follow her to the control board. The blonde's arms swept dramatically above the expanse of buttons and dials.
"Okay. So you've been staring at what Tony and I have been doing for the past hour or so, and it's pretty boring isn't it?" Mira nodded honestly.
Suzianna cracked a smile. "Yeah, well, the fun part is actually starting the damn thing, unfortunately, it only last a couple seconds." Suzianna took Mira's hand and guided to a red button covered by a square glass box. Suzianna flipped the shield up and nodded for Mira to press it. Mira eased her hand onto the plastic cylindrical shape and quickly pressed it into its sheath.
The robotic arms sprung to life once again and the white-suited scientists scampered forward to fiddle with a few of the switches and dials on the ends of them, some carrying cartons of yellowish liquid which they strapped and connected to the arms. When they finished, the scientists retreated to the wall to watch. Suzianna let out a long breath as she switched dials, referring to the computer every time she forgot their order.
"Okay! Begin Bone Structuring!" Suzianna called out. The assistants replied in three different languages, thankfully, one of them who could speak English chirped 'Yes madam!' in a bright, British flourish. The trio of white-suits skittered away out the door, returning mere seconds later.
"All is well, Doctor," reported a tall, husky voiced man with a French accent, "You may leave ze rest to us." Suzianna said a rushed thank you before she slammed her hand on another button and quickly left the room.
"Gotta go! Watch that for me!" She called behind her. Mira sat frozen in her chair, blankly staring at each person as they moved around the room. One of the shorter suited people stopped moving for a moment and stared at Mira as well. It was an awkward two minutes of them just staring at each other, until the scientist was called over by her comrades.
"Hannah! Come here! We need your help!" A male voice suddenly said. The girl flinched and hurried away.
"Right away, Gabriel!" She called back. Clicking and whirring brought Mira's attention to the development tube, the cover retracting away to let the robot arms work easily. The hand-tipped machines carried some sort of small yellow shiny disc which it set on the left end of the built-in bed thing. The other robots followed suit, their movement becoming faster and faster until it was impossible to see anything but blurry gray and the swishing of the yellow substance as it slowly drained away.
Soon, a human skeleton lay on the white padding.
"Add the tissue and muscle!" The scientist, Gabriel, ordered the tall man.
"Right away!" He said back.
More whirring. The others pushed the arms away and pulled out another device from nowhere and attached it to the machine. It was a oval shaped gizmo connected to two bars. The bars started moving down the sides of the bed and the oval shrunk and expanded to the skeleton, covering it in muscle and tissue, the red gleaming in the light, a bright streak of color against the stark whiteness of everything else. Mira's hand was practically glued to her mouth as she watched with a dazzling mixture of emotions. She didn't know whether to feel amazed or grossed out or both. She didn't really see squishy red stuff every day. Or any day.
"UV radiation!"
"On it!"
The shield slowly moved out of its place and covered the humanoid mass of bone and muscle. The whirring grew ever louder, before it died away several long moments later. A dreamy, robotic female voice floated airily to Mira's ears.
"Human transformation complete."
A red light blared to life on the ceiling and the three assistants backed away several feet from the tube-like machine that had begun to rise from the floor, platforms shifting beneath it to set it upright. At that moment, Tony burst through the door, breathless.
"Oh!" He panted, his head raised and his hands resting on his knees. "Made it just in time! Woo! Thank god I did sports in high school." Mira glanced at him, eyebrows raised and her eyes wide.
"What's happening?" She asked, "Why's that machine doing that?" Tony held up a finger for her to wait. Once his breath was caught, he straightened.
"Well, I believe that our robot has become a human! And now it's time for us to let him out! Um, Mira? Ya might not wanna look." Mira frowned as Tony pressed a button on the computer. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the short scientist in the white suit, Hannah, cover the visor of her helmet where her eyes were. The doors opened with a loud hiss, drawing Mira's attention to the male human body within.
"Why-? Woah!" Mira quickly covered her eyes, her cheeks flaming at the sight she had unfortunately witnessed. Tony snorted.
"Told you not to look, pervert," he chuckled, a wide grin sporting his features. Mira's face turned redder.
"I didn't know what you meant!" Her ears picked up the shuffling of clothing and as a few minutes passed she dared herself to take a peek. She saw a deep red haired man around his early twenties swaying on his feet unsteadily as Tony helped him stand. He was wearing a white shirt and pants instead of nothing. Thank Goodness. The man slowly opened his eyes, squinting at the brightness of the room. Mira uncovered her (now-not-a-tomato) face and found herself locked eyes with lustrous amber orbs shrouded with mystery (and dizziness). He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't seem to get any sound out, so he shut his mouth and look downcast at the floor, before looking up at Mira sheepishly. Mira curiously stepped closer, but stayed a respectably safe distance out of reach.
"His voice will develop later but right now he's not yet ready to speak. He'll begin talking soon though. Go ahead," Tony said, noting her wariness, "He won't bite." Mira rolled her eyes, her unease dissipating and she wandered even closer. She gave a small smile, which the red-head returned brightly. A tiny beeping noise sounded and Tony clasped his hands together.
"Wow! Everything's on time today! The others should be ready soon, cause the extra thing with Foxy didn't happened to them and I didn't freak out for an hour and a half, and I knew what I was doing because I already took care of the extra things with Foxy, and everything went nearly according to plan," he said, speaking his words so fast they sort of blurred together, "AND! It's time for lunch and I'm starving. Let's go!" Mira held out her hand for Foxy to hold on to. Foxy took Mira's arm and she helped him master walking again. Soon he was able to walk without problem, but he didn't relinquish his hold on her. Mira blamed it on nervousness and understood his need of her support, but even so Mira found her face heating up. She shook it off and smiled at the bashful fox. His yellow gaze traveled everywhere, looking awestruck at the blank white walls of the hallway. Mira giggled and he looked over, his eyes big and curious like a child's. A soft tinge of redness spread finely over the crests of his cheeks as he looked away, embarrassed.
Mira giggled again, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. They soon met up with the other three humanized animatronics and together with Tony and Suzianna's guidance they went to a cafeteria. Glancing back at the ex-animatronics, Mira studied them each in turn, noting the not-so-obvious differences between their human selves and their robotic selves. Freddy looked as mature and jolly as ever, the snowy white material of his clothes seeming to glow against his brownish skin. Bonnie looked a bit annoyed, deep lavender hair falling into his eyes. Next to him, Chica was bursting with excitement, her big burgundy eyes shiny with happiness. Her long blonde hair kept falling into her face and she relentlessly pushed it back, a slight frown pinching her eyebrows together. Mira chuckled and took out a hairpin from her hair and took the troublesome locks and gently clipped them back out of mind.
"Thanks Mira!" The woman said, grinning. Mira nodded, grinning kindly.
After they ate, Suzianna told Mira the Fazbear Crew had to stay for an extra day under surveillance just in case everything went as planned and their bodies functioned as they were supposed to.
"It'll just be one night, Mira. You don't need to worry," Suzianna said, shaking her head, "Besides, I'm need to take you out to get freaking haircut. Christ, girl! How can you live with that?" Mira stepped back, making a face.
"Where are the four going to stay?" She asked, honestly wanting an answer.
"Here of course."
"You mean there are extra rooms for them?"
"No, we'll be taking them above ground to where the hospital is. Did I mention this place is underground?" The blonde asked.
"You didn't need to," Steve cut in from nowhere, "We went down a hole remember?"
Of course, Suzianna ignored him.
"Well, if there are extra rooms, could I stay in one? Nearby the Four, I mean," Mira asked. Suzianna gave her an unamused look.
"Yes you can stay in one, but seriously? You should stop being so over-protective. Honestly, they're gonna be fine."
"Then it would be no problem if I want to stay near them," Mira said, eyes flashing in defiance. The female scientist groaned in defeat.
"Fine! Fine! Just try not to kill yourself."
Chica tried her best to sit still as Mira weaved her golden blonde hair into pigtails.
"Chica, if you move anymore, I'm gonna take every loose strand of hair, mix it with some gel, and stick it straight up to make you look like a unicorn," Mira said, her voice underlaid with playfulness. Chica giggled and sat as stony as she could manage. Mira sighed, smiling as she finished up braiding the blonde locks. She gave the new human a hand mirror, and the blondie commenced to admiring Mira's handiwork.
"It looks so cute!" Chica squealed girlishly, her abnormal purple eyes bright and happy. Mira laughed good-naturedly.
"Yes, you look adorable, but in night time now and you have to rest," she said her voice soft and calming. The blonde sighed and nodded bidding Mira good night before retiring to her bed as Mira got up and left the room. Wandering down the hall into her own room, Mira took the time to stretch her arms and get comfortable in her bed. She yawned once and let herself doze to sleep beneath the glow of the hallway lights that poured through her open door.
Creak.
Mira yawned and shifted in bed, disturbed by the insignificant noise.
Click. Click.
She stretched a little, frowning.
"I'm back."
Her eyes eased open, her vision blurry with sleep. She sat up, rubbing her head as her sight cleared. Something moved in the corner of her eye. Suddenly, a loud gasp pierced the silence of the room and she was instantaneously pinned down on her bed, a harsh hand nearly crushing her windpipe and muffling her screams, reducing her cries for help to a worthless gurgle. His other hand held her arms above her head, his grip deathly on her wrists. His legs cramming her own together, rendering them useless. Tears streamed from her shut eyes as she desperately tried to escape the punishing hands, her muscles straining to comply to her great desire of release.
Agonizing minutes later, Mira quieted, her throat raw from her unheard screams and her thrashing quit. The man's hold of her throat loosened the slightest bit, allowing the woman beneath him to gulp in sweetly stinging breaths of air. Mira coughed through clenched teeth before she opened her eyes to see her attacker. Deep red hair fell over his ominous yellow eyes, an insane wolf-like grin pulling at his mouth. Foxy? Mira wanted to scream for aid, despite her bruised throat being strongly incapable, but all she managed to make was a small whimper of pain. Foxy froze at the broken sound, but didn't relinquish his injuring grip.
"F-foxy, p-pl-ease," Mira begged, more tears gushing forth, blinding her somewhat, "It h-hurts..." His wide yellow eyes narrowed coldly, his face turning hard and merciless.
"Shut up," He hissed. He tightened his grip on her wrists, painfully pressing them together even more. Mira sobbed at the new spike of pain erupting there, and the man above her gritted his teeth at her. He released her throat and lay his hand to rest on her shoulder, digging his nails into the soft flesh. Mira bit her lip, inhaling sharply through her nose.
"Dead fox, dead fox, dead fox..." He muttered mindlessly, slowly scratching something into her shoulder. Mira tried to think through her pain and wondered what his mumbling so could mean. Dead fox. Dead Foxy. Soro? Sobs wracked her fragile form, her body trembling uncontrollably as she started to thrash again. Foxy growled and held her even tighter, his actions making Mira cry out.
"P-please!" She cried, trying to hunch her shoulders away from his carving, "Stop! St-stop! I'm b-begging you!" The red-head stopped scratching her shoulder and gazed at her blankly. She hiccuped, her breathing hitching as she attempted to stem the flow of her tears and sobs.
"S-soro, l-let me g-go." Her voice died at the end and she lay quivering at his mercy. His hands, however, slowly eased away from her, allowing her to move them again. His body remained tense while he sat on her thighs, his gaze large while he stared terrified at her. He didn't look scared of her, he looked scared of what he did. She flinched greatly as trembling hands shakily floated up to her neck, lightly stroking the purple bruises. She wiped away the moister from her face before she sat up abruptly. Soro was pushed away while Mira shrank back to the headboard on the bed.
"M-mira..." He whispered, reaching for her. She backed away, her gaze fearful and wary. Ignoring the hurt he felt from this, he wrapped his hands around her forearms, gently tugging her closer. She refused to move, her body rooted to the headboard. He crawled toward her and pulled her into an embrace, trying to forget the way she flinched in his arms.
The transition was very sudden, how he was once trying to kill her and was now practically wailing into her uninjured shoulder, sobbing out apology after apology, begging for forgiveness.
Exhaustion fell over Mira in a cloud and she lay back onto the bed, Soro clinging to her as he continued to cry. He gently rubbed her aching wrists and kissed the bruised flesh in hope of lifting away some of the pain he had caused her. He lightly touched her shoulder now, feeling his way over the marks the marred her skin, babbling incoherently. She carefully wrapped her arms around him, doing her best not to flinch when he took a sharp breath and hugged her closer.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he said shakily once in control of himself, now clumsily petting her hair. She allowed the saddened male to cradle her against his body, his warmth slowly soothing her shatter nerves, his presence now calming her. Too tired to speak, she buried her face into his chest and drifted back to sleep.
Hah! I'm brutal...
Okay, hopefully next chapter will be sunshine and rainbows again right?
Sorry, I just thought I needed some more action after the boring crap above the nighttime assault in bed. Ugh, that sounded weird.
BLAME SUPER LATE UPDATE ON ME PEOPLEZ! I HAVE NO EXCUSES THIS TIME. Well, except for maybe-
Anyway...eh... I'm...not... grounded anymore? Uh...
R&R dear readers! I'd really love to see what you think of how this story is progressing! Feel free to constructively criticize my work because I'm a hell of a load sure that there are over five-billion flaws in every sentence, not just because of my screw-over spell-check, but because I am terrible at typing. On a computer that it. On my iPad, I'm relatively quick. Thankfully I do all of my typing on my iPad.
Stay cool bruhs.
