Hinata woke with a start to the head her her lap cursing loudly and thrashing trying to sit up.

"Pl-please don't try to get up! Y-you'll reopen your wounds!" She said frantically try to press the large man's shoulders down.

"Who the hell are you?" He shouted angrily as he fought against her bring a hand up to strike her. The chakra she had used last night was keeping his body from fully listening to him. She pressed pressure points quicker than he could see making him unable to move. He started to wiggle about, but he wasn't at risk of hurting himself anymore. "What did you do bitch?!" He cursed angrily. She shrank back slightly now that he couldn't harm himself, but made no move to slide out from under him.

"She's keeping you from hurting yourself." Itachi said from behind her. She looked straight up to see him standing towering over her from behind. The shouting must have woke him up as well. Either that or he had been awake and had watched her struggle with him without helping her.

Hinata looked between Itachi and Kisame, who was looking between her and Itachi before locking eyes on her and glaring at her. She fidgeted under his stare and focused hers on Itachi who moved around her to sit and rest his back against a tree.

"She patched you up, it would be rude to ruin her work. Do as she says." Itachi continued coldly. Kisame turned his glare to him and grumbled.

Hinata looked between the two and blushed fixing the blanket she had placed on him to keep him warm the night before and stood up fixing her top that had loosened for the night of work. "Th-here is a village nearby. I-I should go in and get ingredients for medicine and to make something he can eat." She looked at Itachi more asking him then telling him. "Y-you two will need to build up some strength before we go anywhere and I wouldn't be a good medic if I neglected your stomachs." She looked pleadingly at Itachi. He gave her a skeptical look and nodded and began to stand she waved her hands. "N-no, I'll be fine on my own. Kisame is defenseless, I-I've numbed his limbs he'll need you here. I-I'll be right back I promise." She assured him. He gave her a twitch of a smirk like he was testing her. She wasn't sure if she like being tested.

She went her bag get out money, she freshened up a little and stood up bowing to both of them before she set to the village. A part of her thought of running, but why this benefited her. She was skilled enough one recognized by the Akatsuki! She was recognized! She pushed the thoughts and fear way she had her promise from Itachi, she wasn't sure what was making her trust his word, but she did.

When she came back bags in hand she saw the Itachi had set Kisame up against a tree. She suddenly worried they had both opened their wounds. She set down the bags and hurried over to them, Kisame first. He glared at her.

"Can I at least have control of my arms?" He asked harshly. She hoped Itachi had explained what happened in her absences. As a sign of goodwill, she nodded and pressed fingers filled with chakra to his shoulders letting go of the binding she had set earlier.

Once he could move his arms he crossed them over his chest. Which made her flinch. "I-I have to check you wounds." She stated slightly embarrassed, he was continuous now she couldn't toss him around like a rag doll to heal him.

"No." He barked.

She opened her mouth to protest. When she heard Itachi behind her speak first. "Do as she says. You wouldn't be awake or alive if it wasn't for her."

Hinata chewed on her lip to hide the pride in her chest as he grumbled lowering his arms. She checked him over and to her relief he hadn't opened anything he could eat before she had to change any wraps. She moved over to Itachi.

He raised an eyebrow at her as if to ask what she thought she was doing. "Y-you too, you picked him up right?" She heard an amused snort from behind her.

Itachi opened his robe to show he that he done no damage once she was satisfied she restarted the fire and started her cooking. She had gotten quite a bit of food, she didn't know how much they would eat. While her stew was cooking she focused on make medication for their injuries, she had to stalk up on herbs that stop the pain. She didn't want them to be miserable. She served them both before herself layout medication for them to take which earned her another look from Itachi.

"This isn't poisoned right, should we have you eat first." She looked over to Kisame who was once again glaring. She opened her mouth to plead for him to eat for his strength

"If she did there isn't anything you could do about it in your condition anyway, it would be easier to kill you by just leaving you there, so eat." Itachi cut in once again standing up for her. Kisame turned his glare to his partner. "I could have her restrain you again and I feed you." He continued, tilting his head to offer him to go ahead and continue his struggle. Kisame sneered and began eating.

Hinata bowed her head in a silent thank you to him and the all silently ate until she moved to give them a second helping. Kisame again broke the silence.

"You're the Hyuuga heiress correct." He asked, he sounded curious. He handed her his bowl without a fight like she had been expecting to let her refill it.

She started to nod but remembered she wasn't. "I-I was..."

"Why do you know how to cook, you had servants, you can't tell me you learned to cook in a year living on the run." Hinata didn't know if she should be offended, but she tried to take it as a compliment. He was eating that's all she cared about.

"I-I took it upon myself to learn." She had been asking it before, though she was a ninja everyone still saw her as a pampered priss who couldn't do laundry. She tried not to be upset by it. It wasn't their fault.

He didn't look satisfied with her answer but she wasn't going to tell him the full answer she still felt ashamed of the real reason. She had wanted to be able to be a good wife if Naruto ever noticed her. The very thought made her feel nauseous.

"You look like you're about to be sick." Hinata blinked once again looking at the now confused Kisame. She realized she was once again showing every emotion she went through, she scolded herself for being such a bad ninja.

"I-I'm fine I'm sorry." She kept nibbling at her first bowl while they finished off their second. She fed them until she was satisfied they were full and then move to Kisame who was eyeing her with a less than inviting look. "I-I need to look at your wounds. I could only do so much last night"

He glared but didn't stop her when she reached forward, she checked over his wounds did some minor healing of scratches that weren't high on her priority list. She had to admit she didn't expect the large man to be such a baby. He moaned, whined and complained the whole process. She was secretly grateful that he was unconscious the night before. She had treated children who didn't complain so much.

When she was done she wrapped him back up and cleaned her hands she turned to the discarded clothing of the two men. Thier clothes were bloody, Kisame's robe was ripped, Itachi's shirt was beyond saving, though it looked like had changed pants because his tattered ones were folded and to the side. She gathered up the clothes from the forest floor then moved to Itachi. She looked at him pleadingly hoping it was all she would need to ask for permission and she gently took the robe from his shoulders without protest, just in an analyzing state following her every move.

"I-I'll go to the stream." Itachi gave her a nod. Had he trusted her to come back despite them being healed? She wouldn't look into it what mattered was the task at hand that what she would do to stay sane in this situation.

She washed their clothes in the stream, it turned crimson with their blood. She felt her heart ache once again, she tried to reminded herself that she was in a dangerous situation, but she really couldn't help it. When she finished she returned hanging them near the fire. The two men seemed content to stare at her or stare off.

"When you approve Kisame for travel we will leave." Itachi's voice broke the murderous silence.

Kisame's voice followed in protest. "Why does she get to say when we leave?"

"She's the doctor and she sewed your guts back into your body. I'm sure you would love to hear her protest if you got up and started running around against her medical orders." Hinata blushed. He was taking her into account. It was odd, she felt respect coming from a criminal. Hinata felt a bit more pride well, Itachi was going to make this all go to her head.

The spark of pride gave her a spark of courage, she nodded to Itachi turning to Kisame with a small soft smile. "I_if you allow me to keep treating you regularly, you should be able to walk soon. Pl-please, don't reverse your progress." He gave her a blank and then grumbled. Her smile widened a bit at him giving in.

They sat relatively quietly spare an argument or two between the two older men. Once their clothes were dry she gave Itachi his robe and started patching up the tears in Kisame's. He watched her carefully. She wasn't sure if it was because she had his robe or that he was interested in what she was doing, she was going to go with the former. She felt surreal, she was sitting calmly sewing with two notorious criminals and one was content to watch her every move, yet not maliciously. She was getting sick of everything feeling weird.

When finished she folded his shirt setting it on her bag and sat his robe over his shoulders gently.

"You're a regular housewife." Was his answer to her actions.

She halted her movement and blink a couple times leaving her leaned over his shoulders staring dumbly at his face. Her face bloomed red and she stood up quickly. "I-I… these… uh… Th-these skills are useful to traveling or on your own!" She didn't mean to shout it. She closed her eyes to hide her embarrassment and a loud booming laugh assaulted her ears, she opened her eyes slowly to she Kisame laughing at her.

"I think you won't be so bad to keep around." He continued laughing.

Hinata felt a mixture of acceptance and embarrassment. At least he wasn't glaring anymore. She let a nervous smile wash over her features and went back to her spot in their little camp. They wanted her as a medical-nin, sure, but if she didn't live up to it she was useful to a least one person, so maybe she could get through this situation alive.
