Chapter 11

I'm so sorry that I haven't updated. I lost a close family member and well it was rough year and all. Especially with finals. But now I'm back and I also been editing the past chapters for grammar mistakes and all. :) This chapter is short but i'll update soon and make it longer too.

(p.s. When I write a paragraph in Italics it's a character's thoughts).

It had been more than three hours and yet not one single person was coming to their and Obito were almost out of chakra and Rin was still trying to heal all of Guy's sky was getting darker and the weather had drastically couldn't run away and they couldn't get passed the mist ninja's. Kakashi and Obito had killed more than two dozen mist ninja but more kept appearing.

''Kakashi I don't know how much longer I can last ,'' Obito said as he managed to kill another two ninja's.

''We'll keep on fighting until reinforcements come and besides we don't have many options at all except surrendering ''. Kakashi said as he took another step toward the enemy.

Minato had finally defeated all his foes that had stood before him. Minato knew that the 3rd hokage and the village were in danger but so were his students.He remembered that he gave Obito his kunai so he could just teleport to their exact location. Minato quickly teleported to their location in a instant except that this place was a desert and completely deserted . He immediately recognized where he was and it was at least four miles from where Kakashi and Rin's mission had been. Minato wondered how he had gotten here, had Obito dropped the kunai while rushing to Kakashi and Rin's aid.

''So you finally got here, I was getting impatient thinking you wouldn't show up.'' A voice echoed from behind him.

Minato quickly turned around and spotted a strange creature coming out of the creature was smirking at him as he pulled out Minato's Kunai.

''How did you get that ?'' Minato asked while getting in a fighting position.

''Well it was quite simple actually I just took it out of Obito's pocket while he was running.'' The creature's voice echoed as his whole body emerged from underground.

''Who are you!'' Minato yelled as he launched himself toward the enemy.

'' I'm Zetsu and what I want is a perfect world where peace actually exists and the only way to make that dream a reality is for Obito to realize just how cruel this world actually is,'' Zetsu explained.

Minato could only stare as what looked liked a hundred Zetsu's emerge from the main one that had been talking to him was somehow going under the earth's surface and simply waved at Minato mouthing the words have fun as he completely disappeared.

Obito's eyes widen as he helplessly held onto his deceased friend. His mind was flashing so many images that he just couldn't keep up with. This had to be a dream no way had that just happened. Obito screamed as he was crouched down and held the dead body closer to his.

It was his fault .It should have been him .If he was fast enough he could have moved out the way,if he wasn't weak he wouldn't need anyone to protect him. How did he let this happen?

Flashback:

Guy's wounds were healed, but he had passed out from the loss of blood. Rin kept telling Obito and Kakashi to leave her behind because she would cause great damage if they brought her along back to the village. Obito didn't understand what Rin kept blabbering about but there was no way in hell he would leave Rin behind.

The forest was just up ahead but when they reached it, they were too late. They had no escape, the enemy had completely surrounded them. They couldn't take them on all at once. They were exhausted it was only a matter of time before their chakra would weaken to the point that they wouldn't be able to use genjutsu or ninjutsu. Not to mention that Obito's attacks had become sluggish and weak. Kakashi himself looked worried besides him and Obito the rest couldn't fight. Rin was protecting Guy since he was unconscious not to mention that she was carrying him over her shoulder while Obito and Kakashi cleared the path. At first Obito arriving to their aid was a huge help since his attacks were strong but now he was just in the way. Another burden. Someone else that Kakashi had to look after. He couldn't be fighting while looking after them.

There's only two options we have. One of them would be that we continue to fight but sooner or later we'll get tired and they'll kill us all. The other option wasn't easy but at least some of them would survive.

'Shit'

Convincing Obito about their second option would be complicated but it was their best chance at surviving since they had no backup. Kakashi couldn't think anymore they had to make a decision now. Just where the hell was Minato anyways? There wasn't anymore time to wait for backup or stall the enemies. Obito's going to hate the 2nd option.

"Obito, listen carefully we only have two options and they aren't pretty.''

'' What are you thinking Kakashi?''

'' We can continue to fight but eventually we'll get tired and then they'll kill us all or we can…...''

'' Or what Kakashi? Just say it already'', Obito yelled impatiently.

'' If you and me stay behind Rin can't outrun them with Guy and they'll kill her and Guy quickly but if we -

'' Dammit Kakashi quit stalling already and tell me what's your plan.''

'' We leave them behind as a distraction and we make a run for it.''

''...''

'' Kakashi what are you and Obito discussing?'' Rin said as she stepped a bit closer towards them.

'SHIT'. Rin had to survive no matter what but he didn't want to leave anyone behind. If Rin left with Guy she'll die but if she left by herself while him and Kakashi distracted the enemy she could survive. But then him, Kakashi and Guy would die. Not to mention that Rin wasn't that fast and the enemy could catch up to her and kill her. It would have been for nothing.

'' Kakashi, I have a plan but it'll require a distraction.''
