Scene: Safe house, Lake Victoria, Africa
WuFei: Are you certain you can do this Barton? I can handle it on my own if you need more time.
Trowa: I'm sure. It's the perfect time for an attack on OZ, and I would rather not be here watching the news.
WuFei (nods): Very well. You know the plan? (Trowa nods) Then we'll proceed accordingly. (watches Trowa leave then shakes his head turning to the news broadcast.)
Newscaster 1: And the entire Earthsphere is in an uproar at what's being called the 'shotgun wedding of the millennium'.
Newscaster 2: That's right Al. Notables from all over will be present at the Khushrenada estate in Luxembourg for the nuptials of General Treize Khushrenada of the OZ Special Forces.
Al: The part that has people talking the most, Dave, revolves around the bride-to-be. Not much is known about the young lady…
Dave: Isn't 'lady' stretching it a bit Al?
Al: The word from General Khushrenada himself is that he and his bride-to-be had a whirlwind romance and that her condition is a result of a mutual love.
Dave: That may be true Al. And in her few interviews and events she's attended she has demonstrated herself to be a very kind young woman, but you know that won't stop people from talking…
WuFei (turning off the TV, sighing): This is an immense mess…
Scene: Sanc University common rooms
Duo: Crap…(calling over to Shannon, who's playing checkers with a classmate) Hey Allyndria? You better come see this.
Shannon(excusing herself): What's up Kaelon? (looks at the TV as the newscasters go on about the Khushrenada wedding) Damnit! I wonder how T's taking this…Any word?
Duo(eye raise at her swearing, shakes head): Nothing other than the cousins are well. T and Wu are in Africa for some job training or something.
Shannon: Anyone heard from H yet?
Duo: No and it has me worried he'll do something stupid.
Shannon: He wouldn't do anything too stupid would he? (exchanges look with Duo) Nevermind he would… What do we do?
Duo: I spoke with Q and he'll be there as a rep of his family. He said he'd try to stop off here on his way back.
Shannon(nods): This is insane… I don't know who I think is crazier right now.
Duo: I know what you mean, hell I actually finished all my homework assignments already 'cause I'm so freaked.
Shannon: And I'm sure your teachers will die of shock when they find out.
Random prefect-y person: Kaelon, Allyndria? Miss Peacecraft would like to see you in her office. (Duo and Shannon exchange a confused look then follow prefect to Relena's office.)
Relena(after Duo and Shannon are seated and prefect leaves): Thank you both for being prompt, I assure neither of you are in trouble…Despite the boys' room incident Kaelon. (Duo chuckled nervously) However I'm sure you both know about the current political climate?
Shannon(nods): We try to catch as much as we can on the news.
Relena(nods): I'm going to be attending the Khushrenada wedding as Princess of the Sanc Kingdom. I'm telling you two this so you can prepare yourselves.
Duo: Why us…why not everyone at the university?
Relena: Because I believe you two will have the most reasonable reactions. There are rumors of an assassination attempt at the wedding. No one knows who the target will be, and it's very probable that I may even be the target. If that is the case and something happens to me the two of you are more than welcome to go to the Darlian estate. Mrs. Darlian will do everything she can to help you two.
Shannon: Like Kaelon said…why us?
Relena(smiling): Because a friend of mine has asked me to make sure that you two are taken care of like family. In fact he's made certain that all records list Kaelon and Allyndria Gemelo are in fact cousins to the Darlian family.
Duo(mouth hanging open, looks to Shannon): Heero… it's gotta be…
Relena: I'm afraid I've never heard that name before Kaelon. (gives Duo a meaningful look)
Shannon: Well…Thank you Relena-san…we're both a little shocked or we'd have more to say.
Relena(nodding): I understand. As I will be going to Luxemburg are there any letters you'd like me to deliver for you?
Shannon: …(jumps up) Yes! I'll go finish it now!
Duo(watches Shannon run off): Thanks ojousan. (nods and gets up to leave himself.)
Relena(after the door shuts): Not at all Duo.
Scene: Luxemburg: Khushrenada estate: Family quarters
Mae(staring at mirror, pokes her belly): Good lord child, you're getting huge already…You're going to hurt when you're born aren't you?
Treize(walking up behind her): Are you talking to yourself again?
Mae: No the baby.
Treize: You do know we can find out its gender so we can say 'he' or 'she' when referring to it.
Mae: But that kills the surprise. Besides as long as the baby is an 'it' I can still pretend this isn't happening to me.
Treize: Maeleana, my dear, tomorrow is the wedding. I don't think you can pretend that isn't happening.
Mae(mumbling): I can try.
Treize(hugging her): I know this isn't your first choice of options but please do try to make the most of it? After all I'm not horribly repulsive am I?
Mae(leans against him): You know you aren't…it's just…
Treize: Everything? (Mae nods) Well to help you get more into the proper mood for a woman who is getting married tomorrow I have a surprise for you.
Mae: Treize, no offense but some of your 'surprises' worry me.
Treize(motioning to a servant): I think you'll like this surprise. (the servant opens the doors to let Dorothy in) Surprise.
Mae(gapes then runs over and hugs Dorothy): Dorothy!
Dorothy(mildly surprised at the hug): It's good to see you again Miss Maeleana.
Mae: Didn't I tell you to call me Maeleana, or you know what better yet you can call me Mae.
Dorothy(shaking head): I take it you're happy to see me?
Mae: Duh! Oh! Maybe you can help me. I can't ask Treize's help and I don't want to ask Private Stevens on this one. Come on. (drags Dorothy into one of the other rooms)
Treize(watches them go, then turns to Stevens who just entered): Yes?
Stevens: Sir, we just received report that there will definitely be an attempt tomorrow.
Treize: Guest list is confirmed?
Stevens: Yes sir, and the Peacecraft princess and Winner heir will both be there.
Treize(nods): Private Stevens I trust you will do everything you can to ensure that Maeleana is safe and happy on her wedding day.
Stevens(salutes): Yessir! (leaves Treize to his thoughts)
Scene: Winner family private jet
Quatre: I don't feel right about this Heero.
Heero: It's something that must be done and you know it.
Quatre (sighing): I don't approve of the methods you're employing.
Heero: Noted, and disregarded.
Quatre (sighing again): Well if you won't listen then there's not much I can do, is there? (Looks at Heero, who is now ignoring him.)
