Prussia sighed to himself as he watched his brother begin training. It was the first World War and his young bruder, Ludwig, was caught with a want for power.
"Are you sure you won't help me, Gilbert?" The young blonde asked again, making it more painful each time for the elder to refuse.
"I shall not get into the struggle for power, Germany." The Prussian said simply, hiding his anguish as he watched his brother's eyes glaze over in hatred.
"Hmph, fine, I cannot believe how weak you have become. You were once such a great nation...and now...you are pathetic."
Each spiteful word drove a cold dagger into the Prussian's long dying heart. He watched as the blonde ran out into the rain, using only his coat as a protective barrier.
"What has happened to mein bruder...?" Gilbert murmured, ruby eyes darkened with anger and regret. "Is this my doing...? Was I such a bad influence?!" He slammed the door and heard the Austrian nation playing Beethoven in the upstairs rooms, which only infuriated him more. "Only a millennium ago that Austrian was beating the hell out of me on the battle field...and now he's upstairs in my house while my brother protects him! It's outrageous!" He ranted, pacing around the corridors while waiting for some idea to come to him. Then, he had it!
"Dananana da na nana na Dananana da na nana na!" Prussia sang, grabbing his guitar and playing a difficult riff loudly.
"You think i've got it all,
Everyone thinks I got it made well,
How come ma only friends,
Are the ones. I .Pay?!
And no one understands,
What I would do to change my life,
For Just. One. Day!" While playing his guitar, Prussia enjoyed getting his emotions out. He finally understood why Austria even bothered to play all the time! This actually makes me feel better...
"Don't, say if I were you!
Or tell me what you'd do!
How things would be if,
YOU were in my shoes,
But you're not me,
PLEASE, help me if you can,
This isn't what i've planned,
Yet I don't expect that,
YOU could understand,
'Cuz you're not
me!"
"Will you turn off that racket?!" Austria begged, his awkward sticky up hair bobbing furiously as he approached the rockin' Prussian. "It's bad enough you're a waste of space and you rely on your brother all the time but-"
"oh, I rely on Ludwig? I rely on Ludwig?! LOOK AT YOURSELF, AUSTRIA!" Gilbert began, "Have you ever thought about why I stick around, hmm? All I want to do is protect mein bruder from annoying nations who just leech off of him all the time, how amusing, like you do all the freakin' time! West is MEIN bruder, MEIN best friend and MEIN family. What are you, Austria? Nothing. You have Hungary, you have all other nations. Why do you have to try and take MEIN bruder?! He's all I have, Roderich, all I have! And you're sending him to protect yourself in war, tempting him with power he simply won't have! I've lost my friend, Arthur, over this as well as i'm losing my brother. You think i'm leeching? I'm simply trying to tell West the truth, and he simply won't listen to me anymore. I mean...nothing to him."
"Gilbert, You are so amusing when distressed." Austria said snootily, "you're right, you're brother is a fool and he doesn't realize he won't win. I'm using him just to hurt you...you think i'm that pathetic? I honestly do think we have a chance!"
"No, he doesn't. You know NOTHING about him, Austria! He's MEIN bruder, get him out of this war...or i'll kill you!"
Nobody hurts mein baby bruder...ever...
