Hello everyone! I hope you have recovered from my twist from last time. I knew I wanted to bring Chase back for something so I figured why not make him even more of a bad guy? This chapter will be about Sectionals and the glee club will be wearing what they wore in Season 2's sectionals. Now onto the story. Enjoy!
Chapter 10: Sectionals
Puck sighed as he waited for Rachel to get out of the bathroom. When his mom finally realized that it was a bad idea for the three of them to all share the same bathroom, she saved up enough money to get another bathroom added. Now, the old bathroom belonged to Maria and Puck and Sara shared the new one. Because she's still young, it wasn't a problem waiting for Sara to get out of the bathroom. But now that he was dealing with a teenage girl, Puck thanked his lucky stars that he would no longer be living in the same house as his sister when she grew older.
He knocked on the door. "Rachel come on! We have to be at school soon so we can get on the bus and I still need to shower!"
"Coming!" she yelled from inside. After a minute or two, Rachel finally came out in nothing but a towel. Puck stared at her with his jaw dropped. "Noah? Are you alright?"
He shook his head to snap himself out of the trance. "Uh yeah I'm ok. Um I think I'm just going to go take my shower now." When he turned to walk into the bathroom, he bumped into the wall and looked back at Rachel who was looking at him confused. "I didn't see the wall here."
As she laughed and went to her room to get dressed, Puck sighed knowing that he was about to have to take a cold shower to control any urge he had to follow her and rip the towel off.
When they were in the car to get to the school, Puck looked at Rachel, who he had to admit was looking beautiful in her dress. "So I have a question for you."
She looked at him. "And I have an answer."
"So I'm guessing since you've never kissed anyone before me, that means you've never…" He didn't know why this was difficult to talk about. Maybe it's because he's never dealt with girls as pure as Rachel. "Had sex?"
"Oh. No I have never done that. A princess is supposed to wait until she is married so that she can share the experience with her king."
Puck nodded and kept driving. Of course she was supposed to be waiting to have sex with her husband or in this case, king. He frowned. There were times where he forgot that Rachel was really a princess who was only supposed to be here for a limited amount of time. Once her family was back in power, she'd be going home and going back to being a princess where she would be expected to marry a prince. In no way was that him but more than anything, he wished it could be. Rachel was becoming someone that he could actually want a future with but right now, that was the one thing that wasn't going to happen.
When they got to the school, they joined everyone else on the bus and headed straight to sectionals. As Rachel watched the other competitors, she had to admit they were really talented. They had the crowd's attention and everyone was clapping along to what they were singing. Sure enough, her nerves started to get to her. Sure when she was in Mercier, she performed for the kingdom during special events all the time. But she wasn't home and she didn't know these people. Singing in front of the glee club was hard enough but now she was supposed to sing in front of all of these strangers.
When they were backstage preparing to perform, Puck noticed Rachel pacing back and forth and walked over to her. "Hey are you okay?"
She shook her head. "Noah I cannot do this. There are so many people and I do not know any of them."
"I'm guessing you knew everyone when you sang back home?" She nodded. "Well you sang in front of glee club."
"The first time I at least knew Mercedes, Kurt and you. I do not know any of these people and it is a much larger group. What if they hate me? What if they throw things at me because of how horrible I am?"
Puck chuckled a little before bringing Rachel in his arms. "First off, in America people don't usually do that at these things. Second, relax. You have the voice of an angel and everyone is going to love you. You have me and the glee club to back you up so I promise everything will be okay."
"I just do not want to be the reason we do not win. Santana is already taking bets that I mess it up for everyone."
"Forget Santana. Remember our first duet? Just look at me and everything will be okay."
"But this is not a romantic song like the first one. I am supposed to show anger towards you."
Puck thought for a second. "Think you can be an actress for about three to four minutes? In the end, it's all about passion. Show how passionate you are about performing and I guarantee you everything else will come naturally. And like I said, just keep your eyes on me. Okay?"
She nodded and he kissed her before they were told to take their places. When they were given their cues to start, Rachel took a deep breath and walked out on the stage.

As he sang, the two started walking towards each other slowly. As they walked, Rachel never took her eyes off of Puck. It was if the audience wasn't even there.

When they reached each other, Puck and Rachel walked past each other. As they turned, Rachel caught a glimpse of the audience and began feeling nervous again. She quickly turned her attention back to Puck as they continued.

As Rachel sang, Puck realized that she was really taking his advice to act like she was angry. He could actually believe that Rachel was upset with him by her facial expressions. Puck tried to keep his smile in as he continued to sing.

When they reached each other, they stood directly in front of each other to sing the final chorus to each other.

The crowd burst into applause as they quickly transitioned to We Are Young. When the performance was over, they received a standing ovation. Puck hugged Rachel and they quickly left the stage. Soon, they went back on stage so they could hear who won. When their name was called for first place, the New Directions jumped up and hugged each other, proud of their win.
Puck picked Rachel up and twirled her around. "See, I told you we would win!"
Rachel smiled and hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much for believing in me Noah. You are truly one of a kind."
He kissed her as everyone continued celebrating their win. In that moment, it was as if everything was perfect. They were going to Regionals and they had Rachel to thank for it, making her confidence increase. That was just what he wanted and what they both needed.

When they got home that night, they noticed that Maria wasn't home and saw that she left a note explaining that she was working late and that Sara was at a friend's house for the night so Puck figured he could spend some time in Rachel's room. As they sat on Rachel's bed, he couldn't help but think about that morning when he saw her in that towel so he leaned in and passionately kissed her.
When they pulled away, Rachel looked at him. "What's gotten into you?"
He shrugged. "Just thinking about how I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world."
She smiled at him as they began to kiss again. Rachel was enjoying these moments where she felt like a regular girl who was having a normal relationship with a boy. However, things became heated quickly and when Puck laid them down, it took everything Rachel had to say something. "Noah stop."
He immediately stopped and looked at her. "What's wrong Rach?"
"Not that I am not enjoying this, but I can't do this."
"Let me guess. The whole princess thing?"
She nodded. "I am sorry. A princess is supposed to share her first sexual experience-"
"With her king, yeah I get it." He looked away from her to hide the hurt on his face.
Rachel frowned. "Please do not be angry with me Noah."
Puck looked at her and sighed, realizing he couldn't be mad at her for sticking to something she had been raised to believe in so he nodded. "It's okay, I understand. Want to watch a movie instead?"
She nodded and Puck turned on a movie on TV. While they were watching, he noticed her eyes constantly going to the picture of her parents.
He sighed. "This must really suck." She looked at him confused. "You being away from your parents and not being able to talk to them. I'm sure that despite the fact that they're supposed to be all powerful and full of authority, they're just like regular parents to you."
Rachel nodded. "When we are in the castle away from the public eye, they act just like any parent would. We laugh, make jokes with each other, have the same disagreements that any teenager would have with their parents. I just miss them so much. I need to know they are okay."
"Babe, I'm sure they're fine."
She shook her head in frustration. "You do not know that! King Bernard can be an evil man. He is perfectly capable of hurting them if he wanted to. And my being here is putting them in that danger."
"What do you mean?"
"I am the one he wants. I am the one who can stop the war that is going on if I just surrender myself."
"But wouldn't he try to get you to marry his son?"
She shrugged. "That would be a sacrifice that I would have to make for my country."
Puck felt himself getting upset. "So you would forget about everything we have and go marry some guy?"
Taken aback by his anger, Rachel instantly went defensive. "If it was to save my parents and my country then yes I would have to. I have a duty to my people."
"And what about me? I'm just someone to have fun with until you decide playtime's over and you go to give yourself over to that king?"
"Noah it is not like that. I love being with you but I cannot ignore my responsibilities. No matter where I am, I am still a princess and a princess is supposed to marry a prince."
He shook his head. "You're right, you should marry a prince. And clearly that's not me."
Before Rachel could say anything else, Puck got up and went to his own room, slamming the door behind him. Rachel sighed and laid back in the bed. She didn't want to hurt Puck but she couldn't just forget about her life at home. Her parents and her country needed her and eventually she would have to go back. She just never imagined the kind of impact it would have on Puck.
