Hey guys Crescendo here! Life has been rough lately, I refuse to go into details so let's just delve into the story shall we? Now I know it's been awhile since I updated so here is a recap on the last chapter...
"I..." Inuyasha started but never finished for cold hard unforgiving lips found his own. Shivering the boy couldn't help but respond, his own lips softened underneath the violent war the cold had begun to wage. Sesshomaru growled low in his throat and nipped the trembling warm lips beneath his own, making the hybrid gasp out in shock. Inuyasha let loose a muffled sound of surprise as a long pink slender tongue found it's way into his mouth.
The daiyoukai never let up even as the hanyou started to squirm and try to push him away, he had waited to long for this. He had nearly lost the chance, he wouldn't be making that same mistake again! Inuyasha was his, and it was high time that the boy began to accept that. Sesshomaru would never let him go. No matter where the half-breed might try and run he would find him. 'There is no escaping this Sesshomaru otouto, you belong to me!' The inu youkai thought ferociously.
Inuyasha started to struggle he minute his brother's pink appendage invaded his mouth. He didn't want this! This was all to soon! 'Stop struggling you idiot! He is more then welcome to taste us! Good gods above this man is a beast! Good thing I have enough sense for both of us! Even if you don't remember I do! This is our shot to forget your pathetic qualms. Can you honestly say that you don't enjoy the feelings he is bringing out of us? We were doomed from the start!' A voice resonated deep within his head. Inuyasha stopped struggling momentarily as the deep gravely voice spoke to him, making him examine the feelings that other demon was stirring inside of him. As if his body had a mind of it's own he began to relax into his ani's warm embrace.
Sesshomaru felt the moment the hanyou's resistance began to fade, his small body pressed harder against his own and his tongue hesitantly flicked at Sesshomaru's. The daiyoukai would have smirked if his tongue wasn't delving in this tasty morsels sweetened cavern. With a small satisfied growl the elder demon pulled away bringing a string of saliva with him. Smirking he let a clawed hand cut the ties to the unflattering dressing gown.
Inuyasha remained in a daze as cold air washed over his suddenly over expose skin, it took him a moment to realize what had just happened. Letting out a squeak he tried to cover himself and still hold onto Sesshomaru. His ear's lay-ed flat against his skull as his cheeks began to heat a dark crimson, he lowered his eyes to the floor unable to look at the being before him...
Panic fed the hanyou's pounding heart making it beat faster to an unseen tempo, color faded from once flushed cheeks giving the half-breed a sickly sheen to his skin. He wasn't ready for this! Fear clawed at the unmoving victim's mind, body and, soul. "I can't breathe!" Was his last conscious thought before the black depth of his mind pulled him under.
Sesshomaru knew the instant Inuyasha became silent that something wasn't right, he eyed the young man before hm with a frown searching for the source of his distress.
"Let us go!" A feral snarl permitted the air as the Daiyoukai was forcefully shoved away.
Sesshomaru caught himself before he was thrown into the shower and with narrowed eyes he meet blooded ice blue iris's. The pure blood eyed the hybrid up and down noticing the change in his brother's demeanor along with his physical aspects. Two long jagged stripes adorned his cheeks, his eyes traveled lower to nails that grew longer and stripped wrist, his posture let loose a volume of words that were left unspoken; TOUCH ME I DARE YOU! MAKE ONE FALSE MOVE AND I'LL MAKE YOU SORRY! His physique screamed he was more then ready to handle this threat to himself.
Sesshomaru let loose a wry chuckle for he knew exactly who he was presented with..his brothers youkai. His own screamed and raged to be let loose so that he may engage his beta on even ground make him see, whether he had to dominate him or not.
Sesshomaru let loose a small growl unsure for once in his life just what he should do.
"Let me out! The screaming demon inside his head demanded ferociously increasing in a fervor-ish plea.
The pure blood conceded, perhaps it was better to let both inner demons work things out. For once he was going to sit back and watch from the shadows. Sesshomaru relaxed his body letting his brother beast out.
"Why does he just stand there? What is he planning?" The hybrid thought furiously as he stepped back into a crouch. He did not want to challenge his alpha, however his alpha could not begin to possibly understand the pain and terror that filled his- no our hearts. His brother may not remember but, he still feared. "Our body still knows, and when the time is right I shall reveal all to you, my precious sleeping half." His thoughts were broken as a loud domineering growl came from the changed Sesshomaru.
Demonic aurora nearly choked the half-breed overpowering his own for he had not exuded enough to try to over power the other only to show he meant to stay away. Lifting his eyes Inuyasha took in the glorious sight that was Sesshomaru's demon.
Sesshomaru smelt it the instant the hanyou's eyes lifted. Desire rolled off the creature before him, almost like a bitch in heat. His own blood began to stir in response; He wanted nothing more then to take the young man before him in beastly form, to hear him howl his commitment to the celestial beings above.
Hesitantly the hanyou went to move back but another growl leaving his alpha forced him to remain still. Glowering the boy bared his fangs lust becoming rage. "Could the fool not see he truly had no wish to fight? He only needed to protect himself fully, or there would be no chance of him mating with the demon before him." Inuyasha bared his fangs yet again flexing his hands.
Sesshomaru snarled eyes taking in the half-breed's stance, then ice blue iris's meet the others own ice blue set of eyes. The eyes were everything, they were a window to the soul. The hybrids eyes told him he wished no fight, but he would if he must. The beastly Sesshomaru straitened eyes glittering intelligently.
"What are you so afraid of?" His voice came out a smooth smoky silk causing the hanyou to startle in surprise.
"We fear nothing." The lie rolled off the type of his tongue before he could stop himself and he knew Sesshomaru scented it as such as soon as the words were spoken.
A harsh laugh fell from cold lips as Sesshomaru lunged forward taking Inuyasha by surprise. The hanyou tried to twist out of the grip but only managed to give the pure-blood his back; Landing beneath him as his face was shoved into the ground ass sticking out.
Trembling Inuyasha gave a whimper of arousal. "Good god's and Goddess's he is so rough!" The thought floated into his mind as he unconsciously ground backwards against his alpha's pelvis. "Take us! Fuck us! Harm us!" The demonic half-breed's mind chanted over and over again drawing out a shaken moan.
Sesshomaru was no fool, the Taiyoukai knew exactly what he was doing to his chosen mate; A smirk graced his lips. "Seems as if our otouto likes it rough!" He purred to his brother while increasing the strength of his grip and grinding his hips against the firm ass pressing back against his hardening dick.
"Indeed it does, I shall have to remember that." A humanoid Sesshomaru whispered from the edge of his mind, fully intrigued with the learned tidbit.
"NO!" The hanyou screamed twisted his body making a sickening crack resound from his arm as he twisted onto his back and kicked his legs out, making Sesshomaru fly through the air to land on the balls of his feet and hands much like a cat.
Sesshomaru let loose a vicious roar, as he watched his quarry back himself into a corner of the medium sized bathroom. "Enough! Leave him be, we don't want to scare him off." Sesshomaru reasoned calmly taking control over his body once again.
Inuyasha remained crouched in the corner, body trembling with effort. "Otouto you need not fear, I shall leave you to bathe in peace." Sesshomaru said evenly with a small nod of his head as he smoothed his clothes over.
Inuyasha straitened somewhat hesitantly wrinkling his nose as he sniffed the air. Satisfied that the other demon was being truthful, he let his ears flicker in acknowledgment. Waiting until Sesshomaru had exited the room the hybrid found himself shuffling over to the shower, stepping under the luke warm water, he shivered.
Closing his eyes he slowly let his body relaxed. While a fang teased his bottom lip. "Brother needs to rest, I can't bring him out of his sleep. Yet neither can I continue to take his place, we are to fragile." The demon thought woefully. He truly was at a loss, what should he do? How could he make things better for himself when he was so broken?
The demon knew not how long he stood under the spray of the now icy water, but he figured it was time for him to finish cleaning himself off. A striped wrist reached for the medicinal shampoo, frowning in distaste he pried the cap off and squeezed it all onto his long silver mane. Being mindful with his claws he began to lather his hair up. Goosebumps prickled all over his body; it was freezing. Sneezing the hanyou hurried to rinse out his hair before grabbing the soap and hurried lather up a lone rag and scrubbing himself all over in a hurry.
Sesshomaru paced back and forth in the hall way an irate growl leaving his throat, as he ran a hand through his immaculate hair. His eyes narrowed into thin slits as his thoughts turned to the perpetrator who had harmed his brother. They need not fear death, it would be a mercy act compared to what Sesshomaru planned to do. A feral smile replaced the grim contours of his lips, as he thought of the pain he would inflict.
"Sesshomaru?" Izayoi questioned hesitantly her voice low and strained as she made her way over to her step son.
Sesshomaru turned his gaze to Izayoi disgust replacing his features before panning out into its ussual dead pan. "Yes?" he managed to ask as if bored.
"I..I just wanted to thank you for being there for my son...but-"
"But?" Sesshomaru asked cutting her off signaling his impatience.
"But, what," Izayoi cleared her throat signaling her unease. "What are your intentions toward my son." She demanded to know.
"He is to be my mate." The daiyoukai stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"You can't possibly love him." Izayoi hissed crossing her arms over her chest and tapping her foot.
"Pray tell me, what would a ningen like you know of love? Tell me did you even wait for a year before remarrying? Tell me Izayoi what would you know about the true bond of being a mate?" Sesshomaru snapped advancing on the younger woman.
"I know that what your father and I have is love, despite the mistakes made. It's not possible to fall in love from one glance!" Izayoi hissed not backing down.
"Allow me to explain then, I did not choose Inuyasha. My youkai chose my brother as his mate before I even began to feel these emotions. As far as love goes it is fleeting not meant to last.", Sesshomaru held up a finger effectively silencing any words that were about to poor out of his step mothers mouth. "but when a demon takes a mate and I mean truly takes the mate and bonds offering all he is, all he will ever be- his eternity it is so much more then love. One would not be able to live without the other for the shadow of pain. Very few demons take this step, to be bound for an eternity to one being...it is unheard of."
Izayoi shuddered as Sesshomaru's passion was unleashed on her, she didn't rightly understand everything he was talking about; however she dare not voice her thoughts aloud.
"Pappa!" Sasuke cried as Inuyasha opened the door from his room and walked into the hall. Sasuke scrambled out of his grandfathers arms and rushed over to the hybrid flinging his skinny arms around Inuyasha's legs.
Inuyasha stiffened before becoming pliant, he bent picking the boy up nuzzling his hair and surrounding the dragon with his scent. Toga joined Sesshomaru and Izayoi who were watching the two interact.
Inuyasha looked up causing Izayoi to gasp at the sight of his features, Toga only shook his head a small frown marring his smooth complexion. "Well then, shall we be going?" Toga asked raising a brow.
Inuyasha gave a small nod, before his eyes slid to Sesshomaru's. Guilt overwhelmed the half-breed how could he have feared him, when only earlier he had felt so safe with him, had even felt terror at the thought of him leaving? Heaving a sigh the hanyou lowered his gaze.
As they began to head to the car Inuyasha's stomach rumbled loudly making every one stare at him. Scowling he snapped a quick what at them as he tossed his head sniffing indignantly. Toga chuckled shaking his head.
It didn't take them long to get home to the sprawling mansion where the Taisho's resided. "Why are we here? I thought we were going home?" Inuyasha asked in his gravely voice, demon still in complete control.
"Son this is home, you'll be staying here." Izayoi provided before anyone could say anything,
"No. I want to be returned to my apartment." The half demon snarled as his arms crossed his chest and he glowered.
"Your mother is right pup. I would ask you to stay here we have things to discuss, you and I." Toga calmly ordered locking eyes with his son through the review mirror.
Snorting in reply Inuyasha scowled as he passed through the gates, another thought eating at him. "Where's Sesshomaru?" He questioned ears flickering betraying his agitation with the situation at hand, as Sasuke shifted closer to his fathers side.
"I sent him to run an errand or two." Toga stated revealing nothing, yet thoroughly pleased that Inuyasha seemed to be showing interest in his eldest.
"Hmph selfish bastard couldn't be bothered to see me home?" The hybrid barked sourly ears pressing flat against his head. However in the back of his mind he questioned himself. What right did he have to be upset with the demon? Why did he have to be so hot and cold, and why did his slumbering brothers emotion still take hold? Was he truly not asleep?
Toga broke Inuyasha out of his thoughts as he brung the car to a complete stop. "Are we there yet?" Sasuke mumbled lifting up sleepily as he tried to make sense of where he was at.
"Yeah were here." Inuyasha muttered darkly reaching out to open the door. However he was beat to it as the door swung open revealing Sesshomaru. Starting the hanyou cringed backwards into his seat with a low growl.
"Welcome home little one." Sesshomaru spoke softly offering his hand for Inuyasha to take.
Hesitantly Inuyasha extended his own hand until it was clasped into his brothers, who somewhat yanked him out the car and into his embrace. Sesshomaru inhaled his brothers scent, relieved to finally have him in a safe place.
Toga and Izayoi excited the car before turning their gaze onto the two embracing demons, watching as Inuyasha stood there stiffly looking dumbfounded but for a moment before shoving Sesshomaru away calling him a pretentious bastard and stalking off. To everyone's surprise the cold lord dissolved into laughter before reigning himself in and taking Sasuke into his arms.
"Why were you laughing father?" Sasuke questioned in confusion.
"Because your papa is playing hard to get." The daiyoukai responded noncommittal.
Sasuke screwed his face up trying to figure out what his father meant by that before shrugging the comment off and thinking he did not want to know.
"Hurry the hell up!" Inuyasha shouted at the group that still surrounded the car.
Toga chuckled shaking his head as they trio made there way to the door. Opening the door they all filled in one after another. Inuyasha lifted his head as he scented food wafting from the dining room, stomach growling he followed the scent.
Inuyasha licked his lips at the sight that awaited him. Roasted chicken, steaming mashed potatoes, warm asparagus, raw deer meat in thin slices soaking in blood, golden rolls drizzled in butter and to top it all off sweet chocolate creme pie. Inuyasha swallowed roughly as saliva collected in his mouth, stomach yet again screaming.
"Shall we eat?" Sesshomaru asked his would be mate as he bypassed him walking to end of the table pulling out a chair.
Inuyasha could only nod as his eyes stayed glued to the food, hesitant but for a moment he hurried over to Sesshomaru allowing himself to be seated without even understanding the significance of the act. Toga raised a brow before taking his own seat at the table, after seating his mate. Sasuke pulled out his own chair beside his father as Sesshomaru took a seat between his brother and sire.
"JAKENNNNNNN!" Sasuke screamed at the top of his lungs.
A glowering Jaken soon appeared at the door as he gave the boy a nasty look. Smirking Sasuke motioned for the green kappa to approach him. Jaken sullenly made his way over to the young dragon youkai.
"Jaken I suggest you increase your pace lest you find my boot in your face, yet again." Sesshomaru drawled out lazily lips twitching.
Jaken hurriedly sped up at the encouragement from his lord, making his way over to the boy in record time. "Yes my young lord." The green balding kappa ground out.
"I want a cup of fresh blood." Sasuke demanded in Sesshomaru fashion, looking down at the lowly demon in contempt.
Jaken glared at turned to make his way back to the kitchen trying to hold back a snarl, however before he could make it through the door a spoon came flying through the air hitting him upside the back of the head so hard that he fell and the silverware bent.
"Jaken, you forget your manners. I believe you should have responded with a "yes young master." bowing at the waist." Sesshomaru barked delighting at the whelp rising on the back of the demons head.
Sasuke snickered as the kappa got up and turned around bowing at the waist muttering pitifully for his lord to forgive his rudeness before picking the spoon up and scurrying behind the door. Sasuke then turned his gaze to his father who was stuffing his mouth from a plateful of food.
"Inuyasha love, slow down!" Izayoi chided to her child who was packing his mouth full of food not even bothering with silverware.
"Leave him be Izayoi, the boy needs his strength." Toga intervened as he watched his child, eyes alight with amusement.
After supper Sasuke and Izayoi both went to bed tired from the days excitement. Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and, Toga retired to the study...
"Son I need to know if you'd be able to recognize the scent-"
"There's no need I know who is responsible." Inuyasha stated cutting his father off before he could finish his sentence.
"Who?" Sesshomaru asked quietly eyes cold and calculating.
"That is for us to deal with when we have regained our strength." The hybrid stifled a yawn as he spoke, eyes starting to droop as weariness overcame him.
"Son, it is my place as your si-"
Inuyasha cut his father off again eyes narrowing dangerously as he stood. "We have taken care of ourselves for 20 years, we don't need or want your pity. We are plenty strong enough to handle our own problems. As far as everything you've done for us, as soon as we start working again we will repay you." The hanyou's hands clenched into fist.
"Little on-" Sesshomaru tried before it was his turn to be cut off.
"I am capable of protecting myself, I don't need either of you!" Inuyasha snapped turning his back to the pair.
Sesshomaru's eyes sparkled dangerously as a low growl infiltrated his throat at the blatant disrespect that he had been served. Toga caught his eldest eye and shook his head no.
"Alright then, let us discuss this at a later time. However Inuyasha you must know that we won't rest until we taste blood. You are a prince of house Moon, I won't allow this to go unchecked." Toga warned before standing himself.
Sesshomaru's jaw clenched as he moved forward letting one hand come to rest on his younger brothers shoulder. "Let's get you to bed, shall we?" He asked sidestepping the whole issue at hand as he gently lead the hanyou away from the window.
Sighing Inuyasha let himself be lead down the long narrow hallway and up a flight of stairs, turning to the right down another long narrow hallway before going up another flight of stairs.
"What is this a fucking maze?" Inuyasha griped pulling his arm away from Sesshomaru.
"Language little one, and no this is your own personal wing, father had it designed just for you." Sesshomaru responded watching the hanyou's face intently as he took in the hallway, before eying a door.
Sesshomaru lead Inuyasha through the door and into a foyer of his own which was decorated in warm golden tones of red and gold. Inuyasha looked about himself in amazement. Everything seemed so welcoming and refined that it had him a little unsettled. Sesshomaru didn't give him much time to look about before urging him to another door which led to the hybrids bedchamber.
"T-This is mine?" Inuyasha stuttered as he at the room in astonishment. To his right beside a window stood a nicely carved cherry tree desk that housed papers and pens directly next to it stood a bookcase filled with books. Inuyasha tore his gaze away noticing a fireplace that stood directly across the room with two plush chair's seated in front of it, and in the center of the room lay a queen sized bed.
The half-breed swallowed as he took a step forward, looking back at Sesshomaru in awe as he smiled down at him gently. "yes otouto this is all yours." He spoke gently pleased that his brother seemed to be enjoying his homecoming gift.
Inuyasha gave a small nod before making his way over to the bed and sitting on the edge running a hand across the smooth coverlets. "This is...amazing." Inuyasha finally spoke lifting his head to stare at Sesshomaru face softened by his enjoyment.
"yes otouto now it is time for you to sleep." as if to give claim to Sesshomaru's statement Inuyasha let loose a languid yawn, stretching as he lay-ed back and curled on his side.
Smirking secretly pleased himself Sesshomaru turned away and cut the light switch off and slowly easing the door closed as heard Inuyasha wiggle in the bed and yawn again. "Sleep well otouto." Sesshomaru whispered as he made his way to his own private wing.
