I do not own One Piece. Just Magnelia.
It started snowing the day after. Usually when you're sailing south, it gets warmer. So this came as a shock for some of the crew members. Nami, Vivi and Magnelia was not that surprised. Vivi and Magnelia grew up in the Grand Line. Nami was too sick too care.
Zoro was up in the crow nest and looking out on the sea. Luffy and Usopp was out playing in the snow.
"Oi! A man is standing on the water!" Zoro called to them.
Luffy and Usopp thought that the cold had made Zoro completely mad first. But yes, somebody was standing there. A man dressed in a chess themed clothes and a worried looking face.
"Looks like it's gonna be a cold day today." Said the strange man.
Suddenly, the sea started to move and a ship raised up from the water. Going Merry shook massively to the sides. Magnelia, Vivi, Nami and Sanji was in the kitchen so the could easily take care of Nami.
"Why is the ship shaking!?" Vivi screamed.
"I'll go out and find out. Continue to take care of her!" Magnelia answered before she put on her long, dark purple winter coat and gloves.
"What the hell is going on here!?" Magnelia called to Zoro.
"It's… It's a ship. It rose up from the water." He answered her with a confused look on his face.
The ships Jolly Roger was a hippo skulle, who licked his mouth and wore a crown on it's head. Magnelia walked up next to Luffy and tilted her head, looking confused.
"Who does their captain think he is?" She asked nobody.
They heard a loud laugh coming from the ship. Sanji came out when he heard that laughter, Luffy informed him that they where probably under attack. Which made Sanji place him self next to Magnelia. A little bit to close.
20-30 men got on board and held both guns and swords towards them.
Zoro did not like having Sanji that close to Magnelia, their arms was more or less brushing against each other. But he rather have Sanji next to her, then her getting hurt by those soon to be dead men.
The voice started talking now.
"Hmm… Only five people on this ship." A silhouette said while eating a piece of meat on a sharp knife.
The crew got shocked when they saw him eating the knife.
Magnelia could almost feel the sharp pain in her gums and in to the roots in her teeth.
The hippo ships captain was dressed in armor and a big furcloak, he had purple hair, round eyes and metal plates that was kind of stapled around his mouth and on his chin.
The cloak was made of a winterhippo.
This made Magnelia furious, since it's a endangered animal.
Wapol wanted to go to a place called Drum Island and wondered if they had a enternal post. But since no one in the crew never even heard about that island, they could not help them.
"Oi! Since you don't have anything to do here, you can leave now!" Luffy told Wapol.
"You don't have to be so rude. But since you don't have a enternal post, I'll take your treasures instead." Wapol sigh.
Magnelia was boiling of anger. She could not stand this human and wanted to get him off the ship. That burning feeling in her chest started to remind itself. She grabbed Sanjis hand, hoping it would calm her feelings and all that dangerous energy down. Sanjis cigarette started to form hearts made of smoke.
"But before we do that, I need a snack." Wapol said before his mouth grew and he tog a big bite from the ships railing.
Magnelia dropped Sanjis hand in shock. She couldn't believe her eyes.
Luffy yelled at Wapol to stop. One of the men ordered Luffy to leave Wapol alone. Which was a bad idea since Luffy knocked that man with one punch to his face and the fight started.
"Luffy, keep those men away from me. I take care of the fat captain!" Magnelia yelled to her captian.
"Yosh! No problem." Luffy answered.
Magnelia picked out her crystal and her wand. Through them she told the ship's ropes to attack Wapol and steered them with her wand. Her plan was to tie him down.
Her plan failed, Wapol ate the ropes.
Magnelia put away her wand quickly and lifted her hands up and made the broken pieces of wood to levitate and flew towards him. But yet again, she just fed him.
"This ship is really tasty!" Wapol laughed while he was chewing.
Magnelia got more and more frustrated and she started to glow in a light lilac blaze. She lifted her hands to her chest, with the palm of her hands against Wapol.
His crew looked at her with fear in their eyes.
"Your highness! Look out! She's a witch, a furious witch at that!" His men screamed.
But it was too late. When Wapol looked up at her, she pushed her arms out towards him and yelled "Bort!".
Wapol flew away to the horizon.
Wapols crew panicked and had to get away from the ship to save their captain.
The chess man and a boxer with a afro yelled to Magnelia. That the would get revenge when they burned her on the bonfire or sale her as a slave, like so many witches had before in history.
This made Magnelia feel sick, but yet it gave her some hope.
She fell on her knees and started to breath heavy.
"Gaaaah! Are you sick too?" Luffy asked her while he grabbed her upper arm and tried to help her up.
"No no, I'm good. I just... I don't know. Help me to the kitchen so I can sit down and warm up a little." She smiled to her captain.
During the night, they had pulled up the sails, dropped the anchor and decided to spend the night right there in the open sea. Everybody was sleeping in the kitchen, except Magnelia who could not sleep. And Sanji who had the night watch.
Magnelia could not stop thinking about what Wapols men had said. That witches had been sold as slaves, which means that there are other witches out there. This was completely new information for her. Bur she could not stop mourn for them.
When the day light had lighten up the water and the crew have had their breakfast, they finally spotted an island. A winter island with funny looking mountains.
When the got close to a shore, they were stopped by a voice, telling them that they were not welcome.
The strawhats explained to them that they had come there because one in their crew is very sick and needs help. Unfortunately, the people did not believe them.
"Geez, they have never met us before, but acts like they have hated us for 100 years." Sanji sigh.
One man in the crowd shot a bullet too close to Sanjis feet and told him to be quiet. Sanji got real mad and was about to attack. Vivi stopped him, but hit by another bullet.
Magnelia understood what she tried to do and hoped the rest of the crew picked that up.
It ended with both Vivi and Luffy bowed to the people and begged them to help Nami. The rest of the crew held their breath.
A big man with a square face came forward and told them that they will help them.
"But just so you guys know. We only have one doctor and she's a witch." The big man told them.
Megnelias jaw dropped.
The whole crew followed them to the village, except Zoro. Zoro stayed on the ship so he could guard it and do some training. He had a hard time concentrating. When he tried to lift his weights, he kept picturing when Magnelia was holding Sanjis hand the day before. In frustration he decided to skip training heavy lifting. He was going for a swim.
After they had put Nami on a bed, Mr Dalton started to tell them about the witch. Reality was that she is not a witch at all. She was a strange, but good doctor with 140 years on her back and that came and left whenever she wanted to. But was called a witch by the people because she was so old and that she was comes to the villages by sleigh and reindeer.
Magnelia looked down on the floor. She was very disappointed.
Luffy, however had already made up his mind. He was going to climb up the mountain, with Nami on his back and visit the doctor up there. Sanji and Magnelia wanted to go with him.
After they had to fight meat-eating giant rabbits a couple of times, the monsters started a avalanche. Luffy, with Nami on his back, Sanji and Magnelia ran for their life away from it. They found a really tall tree. Luffy managed to climb up, but Magnelia and Sanji didn't.
Luffy stretched out his arm and caught them. Magnelia got knocked out by the impact and cold.
Sanji had a hold of her when the tree broke and they surfed on the tree on the avalanche and did everything necessary to survive.
