A/n: Ok, I just realised that I haven't updated since my birthday, which is in July, so I thought that I would update. Also, because me laptop internet is down, so I can't go online and I have nothing better to do.
Please review because it is very helpful to me. Thanks, Purple5901 xxx
Legolas's POV:
After the Orc attack, I never wanted to let Cellissel out of my sight again, but she was stubborn, and would not listen to me when I told her that we had to go back to Rivendell.
"No!" she cried, and pushed my arms from around her. "How can you say that? I left for you, and you keep on telling me to go back!"
I vaguely noticed that some of the guard were still gathered around us, but I sent them a look and they seemed to understand it, and started to dissipate, leaving us alone.
"Cellissel, I don't want you to get hurt out here, on your own. You can't protect yourself as well as I can protect you," I replied softly. That only seems to increase her anger.
"Now you think I am weak! That I can't handle myself!"
"That is not how I meant it to come across!" I interrupted, but she carried on.
"Tell me, Legolas. Is that what you really think?" she asked me, her voice quieter, looking me straight in the eye. I shook my head.
"I didn't mean to sound that I thought you were weak. But I worry about you, and I feel this need to protect you, and care for you, and I can't do that when you are out here alone!" I replied. "Today, when you were taken by those orcs; when I watched that one hold a knife to your throat, I felt scared. And I haven't felt scared in a long time. I felt scared that he was going to kill you. That he was going to cut your throat, and I would have to watch you die in my arms, powerless to do anything to help you. And I can't lose you, Cellissel! You're the only thing in my life that is important to me, and I won't be able to live without you."
I fell to my knees, and keened over, unable to stop tears from spilling form my eyes. Instead of responding, she just grabbed me, hand on either side of my face, and swallowed me in a bruising kiss.
Cellissel's POV:
After hearing his confession, I didn't know what to say. So I just grabbed him, and kissed him, hard one the mouth. I was making up for all the lost time that we could have had together. I poured my heart and emotions into that kiss, all that fear of giving him my heart and soul, and not having those feelings returned.
When we finally broke apart, I rested me forehead against his, our noses gently bumping together.
"I love you, Legolas. I love you so, so much," I whispered to him, the words ghosting over his lips.
Legolas' POV:
When we finally pulled apart, she rested her forehead against mine, our noses gently nudging each others.
"I love you, Legolas. I love you so, so much," she whispered against my mouth. I was a bit stunned at first, not expecting her to say what she did. But it was easy to respond, because my feelings for her were clear to me.
"I love you, too. More than you could ever know," I said back, and then closed the gap between our lips, in a gentle kiss.
A/n: I don't know why, but this felt like more of a Legolas–sided chapter. I found it a lot easier to write this from Legolas' perspective. I don't know when I will be able to update again, but I will definitely before Christmas and probably again before New Year.
If I don't get to update again before Halloween (a week on Friday), Happy Halloween, and stay safe! Purple5901 xxx
