A month passed. It's been peaceful in the Tezuka's house. Kunimitsu and Inari haven't spoken to each other since they had that argument. They act like they're divorced. They wouldn't even look at each other. Sometimes Inari goes into the old room. And when she does, she sees Tezuka's wedding ring sitting on the nightstand on his side of the bed. He's angry at her so maybe he wants to be single. She hasn't seen him for a while. He can't be still upset with her. Not over that stupid argument.
Inari got sick of working for people so she decided to create her own game company. It's doing well for a beginner like her. She employed people who want to join and that's good enough for her. She's not putting her business degree to use but who cares. As long as she's making a living from what she loves to do.
Tezuka goes to do whatever athletes do and return home late at night. Sometimes in the morning. Inari acts like she doesn't care but when days pass. She becomes worried about Tezuka and why he keeps staying out so late. She never confronts him about it. She just left it alone because it will only lead to another argument.
Inari sigh while working on the game she and her team created. She stops working to look out the window. Her eyes stare at Tokyo Tower and all the lights that lit up the city. She smiles while remembering going out with Tezuka every other night. Dates with him were always fun back in College, but once they got married, not anymore.
She frowns when she sees Tezuka arriving home. He parks in the driveway then exit the vehicle. He glances at Inari's car then walks through the front door.
He's home early. I wonder, should I go speak to him?
Inari tiptoe into the hall. She stretches her neck out to see what he's doing. Tezuka walks in then head straight to the living room. Inari sat on the stairs and watch him.
I know, he's my husband and I should confront him. But right now, it's better that we stay separated.
Tezuka sat down looking bored, but from his body language, she can tell he looks upset.
I guess that woman he's seeing pissed him off.
When his phone rings he answers right away. Inari locates his finger and she's right. He's not wearing his wedding ring.
"Yes, I'll be there." Tezuka press the red button his phone then stood up. He walks to the front door. When he looked towards the steps Inari hid around the corner. Tezuka puts away his phone then finally left.
"He didn't even check on me." She sigh. "Whatever." Inari went back to the room to finish her work.
The next day the house is empty again. Only Inari is there, as usual. Where's Tezuka? She doesn't know.
"I'm so fucking bored!" Inari sighs while rocking from left to right. Being lonely is frustrating. Once the doorbell rings she jumps up and went to go open it. A man is standing there with his back facing her.
"What the hell do you want?" She asked.
"You should watch your fucking mouth."
Inari smile. She knew that voice. She jumps up and hugs him from behind. "LAVEN! What are you doing here? And where is my surprise you promised?"
"Your surprise is me!"
Inari frown. What? You are my surprise? "Oh hell no take your ass back to America."
Laven grabs her shirt and puts her in a headlock. They laugh.
"Come on Sis... Be nice. I'm on vacation, it's summer and I want to have fun. So it's going to be me, you, Laria and Lari hanging out."
She sigh. "I don't want the twins to join us. Why can't it just be us?"
"Because we need someone ugly to laugh at." They laugh. Laven walks in then sits on the couch.
"I'm surprised you want to hang around your sisters Mr. Ladies man. Mr. Go away I have a date tonight and Mr. Go to the next aisle Inari. Ladies are passing through and it's weird going shopping with my little sister."
"Hey, I'm back for a little while. So I might as well chill with my family. Then I'm going to ditch you guys to see my girlfriend."
She laughs. "Which one? You introduce us to like 6 women." He turns to her.
"Numbers does not matter." Laven stood up and walks around the living room. "So, where's Kunimitsu?"
Inari sigh. "I don't know."
He turns around. "Why don't you know? You're his wife. You're supposed to know where your husband is at."
"Kunimitsu comes and goes. We don't talk, he doesn't tell me shit and I refuse to talk to him. I'm sick of arguing."
Laven sigh. "That's why we are going to party, tonight because that's what we do when I come back to Japan. Forget about Tezuka and let's have fun."
