Ch 3, Prt 4/4

The bright white, blue ball of fire went through the air above in front of me and zoomed towards the Rattata, burning through any branches that got in its way, and even setting fire to some branches that were just close to it. The flame reached the Rattata with some distance in front of him, then it bursted into an explosion of fire.

"NGGGHHAAA!"

Pixel cried out as the flames grew bigger, getting closer to the Rattata. We all make a breaking stop as the Rattata suddenly tries to stop himself before touching the flames.

"WOW!" Fliphe yells as he breaks in midair, flying.

"WAAHAAH!"

The Rattata yells out as he drops the blue berry he had in his mouth. The flames from the Will-O-Wisp then died out in the air. I quickly glance back behind me to see Pixel drop to her side from exhaustion and Tap looking ahead at me. The Rattata suddenly starts trying to flee to the left through the branches, trying to escape from our view.

"Oh no you don't!" I call out, quickly running to his direction in front of his path on the ground. Then I look up and stop, and take a deep breath.

' Ember! '

"CHAAARRRRRRRRR!" A stream of fire shoots out from my mouth, cutting the path off for the Rattata.

"GAAAHHH!" The Rattata yells, as I see him stopping again on a branch above me. He starts immediately backpedaling away from the fire, then starts slipping. He falls off of the branch, and I can hear him land onto the ground nearby me.

"Ouf!"

I stop breathing the stream of fire to look at him, laying close by me with his eyes closed and him on his stomach with his arms and legs spread out. I stand there watching him, as I tried to catch my breath. His eyes suddenly lit open, then he looked at me. He then quickly jumped onto all four of his paws then immediately turned around and started running in the opposite direction. I take a few steps forward, preparing to go after him again, when suddenly I see Fliphe zoom in at him from up high, grabbing him with his clawed feet.

"Not this time, buddy!" Fliphe calls out.

They both roll on the ground a few times until they both stop with Fliphe standing on top of the Rattata.

"Ngha! Ngghhh! Nah!" The Rattata, now on his back, tries to pull up his arms and push himself with his hind feet. But Fliphe had him pinned down with his claws on his arms.

"You're not going anywhere this time..." Fliphe said with a sinister voice, smiling while leaning his head towards his.

I walk up to the two of them, still breathing heavily. "Uh, Fliphe?" I said, "Try not to be... too creepy."

He leans back up and looks at me with a blank face, then smiles. "Aha, right. Sorry."

I walk around behind them to see if Tap and Pixel were fine. Pixel, looking exhausted, was walking towards us while Tap was spurting out water from his mouth at the leaves and branches, putting out the fires.

"You alright?" I asked Pixel as she walked close to me.

"Yeah," she said, breathing heavily, "I'm fine." She stops in front of me, then swallows. "That... was pretty difficult, heheh." She chuckles. She looks over at Fliphe and the Rattata, then starts walking towards them. I walk with her, and we both gather around the two, looking at the Rattata.

The Rattata kept trying to struggle to get loose of Fliphe's claws. Then he stops, breathing heavily. "If you're going to eat me, then get it over and done with!" He yells angrily.

"Eat you?" I ask back. "We don't want to eat you."

"Then what do you want?" he says back. "My berry?" He looks above his head, laying on the ground, at the tree we used the Will-O-Wisp on. "I dropped it over there somewhere. Just take it! And let. Me. Go!" He says struggling again, then stopping.

"Calm down, alright?" I said, putting my hands out. "We don't want your berry either."

"Then what the heck do you want from me?!"

I put down my hands then look at Pixel. She looks up at me from staring at the Rattata, then I look back down at the rat Pokémon.

"All that we want to do is talk, alright?" I say to him.

He pauses, looking at me, still with an angered face. He looks down at my chest for a moment, then back at my face, staring, as if I just spoke in a different language. Then he talked.

"What?"
