Jack: *clears his throat*
Roseto: Don't get jealous honey. *he winks and hugs Jack.*
Henry: As usual we own nothing. Enjoy!
The day was calm as the sun beat through a cloudless sky. The only sound was the roar of jet engines as a plane rocketed across the ocean towards New York.
Inside Roseto sat calmly, lent back in a chair as he laced his fingers together and lent his head on his hand, deep in thought. His blond locks of hair fell in a fringe over his right eye which was black and purple with bruising which moved down to his cheek. His hands were still tinged with red from the bits of blood which had stained onto his skin.
He undid his seatbelt and closed his good eye slightly as he listened intently to everything around him. The door of the front cabin opened slightly as the Captain called back through. "Smooth sailing from here. We should be there in an hour."
"Good." Was all Roseto responded with.
He brushed his lips over his sore knuckles which ached with a long dull pain from the event of that morning and yet he still had time to run his finger over the knew gold ringer on his finger which was studded with a large emerald and smaller diamonds which trailed around the band. Even he had to smile slightly at the sight. "Roseto... Are you okay?" Jack's voice whispered in his ear.
"Yeah." He kept his voice just as quiet. "Just a little tired is all." It was hard for him to actually accept the fact that lately he was beginning to feel as though his entire body was wearing thin. Every muscle in his body burned and ached as though at any moment he was just going to collapse to the floor. His heart felt as though it had to work twice as fast to just try and keep up with how hard he was working lately. "Jack... we have the results from this morning."
"Just give me the bad news." He muttered.
"How do you know it's bad news?" Jack said impassively changing his tone.
"Well you don't seem to be jumping for joy exclaiming that it's good news... so." Roseto frowned slightly. He didn't need someone trying to wrap him in cotton wool. He had spent his entire childhood fending for himself against Weyland's soldiers.
"You're human side... mainly your heart. Can't keep up with the way your body is performing. You're pushing yourself to damn hard! You need to give yourself a break otherwise your body will deteriorate like it is right now! At this rate you will be dead within a couple of weeks! Your body will just break apart."
That hung in the air quietly before a dark grin slowly moved across Roseto's eyes. "Then so be it. To die, would be an awfully big adventure."
"ROSETO YOU THICK IDIOT! IS YOUR REVENGE REALLY WORTH YOU DYING FOR!?"
"You have no idea what the mind of a Xeno is like do you?" He whispered quietly. "You're connected to a collected hive mind of emotions and ideas. You have to focus just so your own mind isn't lost to everything else. Then when you finally find yourself. You're still having to fight every moment to try and just focus on keeping yourself from becoming a complete monster! So If I decide that killing a man, who has put me through this hell of living, is worth dying for. Then I'm going to make sure he suffers before I die."
"Roseto..."
"Don't worry." He reached up and before he turned off the communicator he said. "Oh and by the way. I want roses for the weddings."
"Yes baby." He could hear Jack's grin in his voice and just imagine the boy rolling his eyes.
The sad fact though... If the doctors were right about this... then he wouldn't make it to his wedding.
He closed his eyes again and thought back to earlier that morning when they were back in their base.
-A couple of hours earlier-
The two guards stood back at their post after only just that morning being released from the medical bay after being incapacitated by the three Xeno's who had crippled them with that hiss. "I heard that Jack proposed to Roseto?"
"You're kidding." The guard stared at her brother incredulously. "I was always hoping he and Ariadne would get together." She shrugged. "Oh well."
"Yeah, maybe at least with them together, Roseto seems a lot calmer now he's around Jack and his kids. Maybe-"
Both stopped and stared as the around them the sound of grinding and tearing metal filled their ears. "Oh crap." They both muttered.
The doors of the warehouse were ripped viciously off their hinges and smashed into the cold concrete which cracked as the guards dived out of the way from an enraged Roseto. His hair was plastered down to his face as it was stained with crimson. The boy dropped something he was carrying and both guards got a small glimpse of the body before the boy brought his foot down mercilessly on the head and stamped it into the ground. The boy's breath was ragged and weak as he stood for a moment clutching his chest before he carried on forward; his blood stained fur coat dragged on the floor behind him as he stormed forward past them. "Roseto?" They shut up as he let out a screech and both guards fell clutching their ears as they passed out from the pain.
As he stormed forward further those around the large scrap metal table looked up at him with wide an curious eyes. "Roseto?" Jack walked over quickly and placed his hands on his boy friends shoulders. "What happened to you out there."
"Jack." Roseto was restraining every amount of vicious Xeno malice inside of him. Every dark animal thought inside him was urging him to rip every single one of these guys apart for failing. "Go.. and stay with the kids please." He whispered.
Jack just nodded slowly as he turned and quickly walked off, making sure not to look back as Roseto's tail lifted his coat off his shoulders and placed it neatly on the side before the boy began to walk around the gathered warriors of the group. "So. We thought we knew all of Weyland's plans eh?" He put on a charming smile though his voice was darker than midnight and colder than the harsh winter outside. "He couldn't sneeze without us knowing about it eh?" He carried on walking around them slowly.
He didn't even look up as Ariadne walked in and stood in the shadows regarding each of them. "Roseto you don't understand a lot of the the work that goes into us trying to get information-"
"INFORMATION THAT ISN'T EVEN GOD DAMN RIGHT!" He screamed and slammed his hands down on the rusted iron table. "I TORE APART FIVE HYBRIDS!" Ariadne turned slightly pale and Roseto glanced at her before his eyes turned black.
He slowly turned back to look at the predator children. "There's a spy here."
Ariadne became tense.
Roseto slowly began to walk a back around them. "I'm going on my way to meet Weyland at his current base." He was careful not to say where we has going exactly. "My sister is alive... If Weyland wants a war. It's a fucking war he will get." The boy turned on the spot and began walking away with Ariadne running after him.
"Roseto wait up!" She called as she sprinted after him.
It was only when they were both in a small corridor did he stop and turn to look at her. "Roseto, what is going on?" She frowned as she reached out and touched the side of his mouth. She winced and flinched back as she wiped away the blood which burnt her finger painfully. He gazed at her for a moment as he carefully analysed her. "I'm heading to New York." He said bluntly. "I'm going to find Weyland's base and I'm going to end him once and for all."
"Roseto maybe someone should go with you-"
"Don't worry. I have a secret weapon. I'm going to take it on the plane with me and keep it in my right jacket pocket. It's the one thing that will finish Weyland's plans."
"Wow... can I see it?" She stared slightly in wonder.
"No... let's just keep it between the two of us. Okay?"
"Sure Roseto, you know you can tell me anything."
"I know." He smiled innocently. "Ofcourse I know."
-Present time-
Roseto grinned slightly as he hear a click of a gun and the cabin door lock shut. "You insolent brat. Stand up." A voice snarled and Roseto slowly stood not saying anything. He turned slowly and looked at the man who had a gun at his head point blank. "You really think that we didn't know about your plans?"
"Oh, I know about your little spy." The man placed the gun against his forehead as he reached out and reached into Roseto's right jacket pocket. He frowned as he pulled out nothing and glared into Roseto's closed eyes.
But as the boy slowly lifted his gaze. His eyes burned black. "And now?" He whispered coldly. "I know who your little spy is... Tell me." He glared up at the taller man. "What was her price?" The man's eyes widened slightly as he gazed at Roseto. Probably wondering how the boy had guessed who the spy was. How could he possibly know? No... he had to keep his poker face.
"Nothing. She did it willingly." The captain grinned. "I wouldn't take it personally. It's all just good business."
"Good... Then I'm glad you won't take this personally." Roseto smashed his clawed hand into the metal of the roof.
"What are you doing?!" The man backed up slightly.
"Just." His tail slowly uncurled from around his waist.
"Wait!" The man dropped the gun and began to back away.
"Good." His tail aimed at the window.
"PLEASE DON'T!" Roseto gazed down at the fake gun. He was losing his touch if he couldn't even spot a fake gun any more.
"Business." He whispered and his tail smashed straight through the glass.
Window after window fractured as the plane suddenly began to drop. The man lunged for him and Roseto smashed him against the window. "How about we don't let you suffer." His claw drew sharply down the man's back and pushed him up against the window. The wind tried viciously to pull him out but instead blood began to flood out his body. "I'll send your regards to Weyland." He grinned as the man's spine began to protrude from the widening wound. "And he will see you in hell." The man's bones and organs ruptured out his back before his body broke and doubled over before being sucked out.
Roseto looked around as the metal of the plane began to tear apart around him. "Son of a bitch." He smashed his hand straight down through the floor and began to rip it away. "Please, please just let me have this one chance." He gazed down to see his bag had not been put on the jet. "Damn it." Outside the sign of the New York harbour was rapidly coming into sight. "Fuck" He groaned and rolled his eyes. "This is going to hurt like a Bi-" Thick armour plated over his body as the plane smashed into the ground.
Hundreds of people ran around the harbour as they looked at the wreckage of the plane in the water. All stared in horror at the burning wreckage which began to sink beneath the waves.
No one noticed a boy covered in dirt and with torn clothes who sat with his feet in the water and ran a hand through his hair. "Hey kid are you okay?" One woman looked and asked in passing as she walked on by. Roseto lent back and sighed as he splashed his face with the cold water.
"One of these days... I'm going to have an ordinary day... no hybrids... no people trying to assassinate me." He rolled his eyes then remembered something. "But still, I'm a very smart boy." He glared towards the sky. There had only been one person he had told about there being a secret weapon in his right jacket pocket. "So what was the price." He whispered coldly. "What was the price for you to become their spy?"
He slowly sat up and held his broken right arm and bleeding torso. "Ariadne." He hissed quietly.
