More Than This Chapter 11, a harry potter fanfic

A/N: I know its been ages ... sorry I've been really busy with a new year at college, its only been 2 months and I've got so many assignments but I'll try to upload as often as I can ... wel that's all from me hope you enjoy and please review.

Chapter 11

"Hey...I was just wondering if you would possibly be my date to the ball this evening."

"Sure! I'll see you tonight!"

"OMG, you look amazing Ginny!" exclaimed Hermione staring in awe at Ginny's beauty transformation. "Your make-up and Hair looks like it's been done by an artist, Oh how I wish I could paint a picture of you!"

Ginny blushed at the compliment. "Thank you Mione, but I think it's all for my date to appreciate tonight," Ginny winked at Hermione. Hermione looked at Ginny's dress. It was a beautiful, red floor length dress which hugged her curves perfectly and flowed out at the bottom, the thick red straps that held the dress up and a neckline which showed a decent amount of cleavage.

"I wonder who your date is." Hermione asked smirking that looked a lot familiar to someone else's smirk Ginny thought.

"Mione, you mean you don't know?!" Ginny covered her mouth with her hand acting shocked. "It's the one and only gorgeous Mr. Payne!"

"You mean to tell me you caught One Direction Liam Payne as your date?!" Hermione exclaimed back at her by faking shock expressions. "I didn't expect that."

Ginny smiled at Hermione and shooed her away into the bathroom to put on her finishing touches.

"Get in there now Mione! Don't think I forgot how you managed to get the cute blonde guitarist!"

"Whatever," Hermione blushed slightly, looking down whilst walking into the bathroom, she picked up her silver and green beaded purse that sat near the sink and turned back towards Ginny.

"Oh, come on, when he sees you he may never look away, I bet from his sweet facade he'll turn into a monster to just make sure another guy doesn't even look at you," Ginny smiled, "You look amazing and I think he really likes you." She said before walking to retrieve her shoes.

"Thanks," Hermione mumbled. She looked into the mirror and stared at herself. Hermione's dress was a boob-tube emerald green which was also floor length and hugged her curves with a silver design across her waist. The bottom half of her dress had green pleats and white lace that peaked through and a trail following her. 'If only...Wait why am I thinking about HIM...I have an amazing date tonight and HE will not come into view today, I won't let him. I like Niall and he likes me...but why do I keep thinking about him...I couldn't possibly...no it can't...'

"I didn't mean for you to fall in love with your reflection Hermione," joked Ginny interrupting her thoughts. "Are you done?"

"Yeah just a minute...OK...all done." She said as she walked out the bathroom. Both girls had five minutes to themselves as they waited for Lavender, Sam and Luna to get ready. Ginny eyed Hermione's dress cautious as how Hermione has picked Green and Silver as her dress colours.

"Hermione, if you don't mind me asking why are you wearing that colour? It seems a lot... slytherin-ish, don't you think?" Ginny stared at Hermione in the eyes determined to get something out of her.

"Oh, no Gin I don't mind you asking, but yes I know it is very slytherin-ish but err..." She hesitated before she spoke confidently, "My parents brought me this dress, they visited Diagon Alley with me and while I wasn't looking they brought me this dress. They loved the colour and it was one of a kind. Yes I know they picked green, but it's really my favourite colour and I liked it even before I came to Hogwarts and they chose that for me."

"Okay Mione, I must admit it is very beautiful and expensive, although green is still your favourite colour?" she asked surprised at this. Hermione could only smile back at her.

"Yes Gin, it was and it always will be I don't care about house rivalry and all."

"I thought so too," grinned Ginny and she winked at her. They were stopped short from their conversation as Lavender, Luna and Sam entered the room.

"WOW, YOU LOOK GORGEOUS" yelled both Hermione and Ginny simultaneously. All the girls laughed at this.

"Well, the most stunning in person in this room is definitely you Mione, You look so gorgeous tonight! I would be surprised if you were the Welcoming Queen at the ball!" said Sam smiling, showing all her straight perfect white teeth.

Samantha being herself, stuck to the colour that looked much better then pink. Her steel grey dress with a V neckline was short sleeved with ruffles and stopped just above her knees, with a sliver belt across her waist. 'She looks very sharp and amazing in this dress' Hermione thought, 'It definitely suits her'. Lavender who was stood next to Sam, wore a one sleeve brown dress with gold strap which followed from her shoulder to the bottom of her dress on the other side in an L shape. The dress was also elasticized around her body at her waist so it seemed to flow out. Next to Lavender the quietest of the girls stood out tonight as well. Luna's dress was as simple and dreamy as her. The yellow dress was sleeveless and stopped at her knees it had a black and silver band from the back and across her waist that was tied into a bow at the front. It was then time for the girls to meet the boys, so they all left their rooms and started towards the great hall all chatting adamantly about how eager they were.

There was a big group of boys huddled by the great hall waiting for the girls. There stood One Direction all looking the same in their famous 1D's Black slim waist suits. Each one of them wearing different coloured ties. Blaise stood next to Zayn in a formal shiny waist coat and smart blazer. Harry and Ron both wore the same black suits, but the only difference was the colour of their smart bow ties.

"Where are they?" asked Niall, becoming more agitated as time went along.

"Don't worry, son they'll be here soon," joked Louis as he turned to look at the stairs descending down to the great hall. "Ah, here they are."

"Wow!" said another seven voices as they stared at the most beautiful girls they had ever seen.

Niall stepped forward and held his hand out to Hermione as she came down the final steps. She took his hand and he pecked it softly and looked into her eyes, "Hermione, you look amazing, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."

She stared unable to speak; only when she was nudged by Ginny did she open her mouth. "Thank you, you look great too." She replied back quietly, her cheeks turning pink.

"Yes, yes we all look beautiful can we please go in now," pleaded Ron.

They all walked into the great hall and that was only when Hermione noticed who her friend's dates were. Sam was walking side by side with Blaise laughing at something he had just whispered to her, Luna had her arm locked with Zayn's as they looked around and Lavender was clinging on to Seamus as he was starting to obviously regret his choice in girls. She looked around the hall and saw that Pansy was with a boy called Anthony Davis and besides them was Daphne with her date, Theodore Nott.

"Come on," said Niall as he guided her towards the others, who were stood by the drinks.

"...and we all wet ourselves laughing," they heard Blaise speak as they got nearer towards them.

"May I have your attention please..." spoke Professor McGonagall.

"Hey I'll be back in a minute yeah," spoke Niall as he walked away from the group along with Hazza, Louis, Liam and Zayn.

"...thank you," she continued. "First of all I would like to welcome you all and compliment on how amazing you all look, and second I do not wish to ruin you evening with my voice so without further ado please welcome on stage One Direction."

The hall erupted in cheers as the famous boy band walked up with mikes in their hand.

"Good evening, Hogwarts!" exclaimed Louis into his mike. "Are we all excited...of course we are, why wouldn't we be excited." He laughed.

"Well, we are going to sing for you all today and we hope you enjoy it," finished Harry as the lights dimmed down and the hall erupted in cheers once again.

And so the music started...

Applauds, cheers and screams were heard in the great hall after the song has ended. Zayn jumped forward with his mike.

"Yo Hogwarts, Thank you very much for listening...well you could say enjoying but I don't want to brag... what the heck..." Zayn then shouted, "GLAD YOU ALL ENYOYED THE SONG, WE HAVE A SUPRISE FOR YOU ALL TOWARDS THE END OF THE BALL! CALM DOWN! YEAH WE WILL SING AGAIN BUT IT IS ONE OF OUR NEWEST SONGS! BE GLAD TO KNOW IT WILL BE RELEASED TODAY LIVE AT HOGWARTS AND HEARD FOR THE 1ST TIME!"

Continuous roars of cheering were heard as everyone got excited over this. Zayn then stepped behind and Harry came forward and lifted the mike to his mouth.

"Yup, ladies and gentle-boys, you're all very lucky to be hearing it without paying a bomb to hear this!" Everyone chuckled and laughed at Harry and he continued talking, "But in the mean time, let the Hogwarts Welcoming Ball Dance Begin!"

All at once the music turned in to jazz dance music and many couples dragged their partners onto the floor to have a merry time.
