Chapter 10.

Dana starred at the open web page. Ten minutes after J.t. had left her hospital room, she had gotten back on the laptop. She decided to look more into adoption. Not because she leaning closer to it, no she was only curious. She had found the website "Adoption in Wisconsin." There were various social worker names under contact information. One name caught her attention. "Nadine Summers." The name seemed nice. She clicked on her name and redirected her to another page. She saw a picture of Nadine. She was young African American women possibly in her early thirties. She had short spiked up brown hair and wore a blue power suit. She had her arms folded across her chest and a big smile on her face. Dana instantly felt comfort in her. She seemed like someone she would trust to find a home for her baby. Well if she decided to go through with adoption. "Hey sweetie." Her mother cheerfully said as she stepped into the room. She shut the laptop. She didn't want anyone looking at what she looked up after the whole thing with Al. "Hey mother." She casually greeted. "How are you feeling today?" Her mom took the seat to her left. "Good J.t. brought me Rich's laptop for school work." She half lied. He did bring it for her to use and knowing her she use it for school papers but he wanted her to use it for baby related things. "Speaking of Rich." "He hasn't visited me in awhile." "He hasn't been to the house either." "He's probably staying at Moose's house or his parents." "I suppose." She knew that tone very well. "What is it mother?"
It's not my place." Dana gave a pointed look. "When has that ever stopped you before?" She commented. Her mom flashed a cheery smile. "Well if you insist." Dana nodded for her to continue. "Did you maybe say something too critical to Rich?" Is that why he isn't visiting you." Unbelievable! Her mother thought it was her fault that Rich didn't want to see her. "What makes you say that?" She angrily asked. "Oh honey I didn't mean to upset you." Carol had caught how her daughters tone had changed from relaxed to angry. "Why is that im the one that always does something wrong?" She knew her mother knew what she was referring to. She also knew her mother wanted her to stop talking about it. "Even if I was a child I always did something wrong." "If I sat on the couch painting with Karen and she accidently spilled it, it was my fault." "It was my fault when he went to jail." "It was my fault when he died." You made that perfectly clear with how you looked at me." "Dana im not going to get into this with you tonight." "Why not? Shouldn't we hash out our feelings?" That's the only way to get passed what happened." "I got over what happened. I thought you had too." Dana scoffed. "For awhile I did allow myself to be apart of our blended family and I did think we were happy, but when this time of year comes I can't but be angry." "He was a good man Dana." "I will not have you tarnish the memory of your father to your brother or sister." Dana couldn't believe what she was hearing. Even after all these years her mother was still protecting her father. Even after everything he put them all through. "What memories do we have with him?" "I know he didn't treat you fairly but you were a little monster growing up." "You did everything you could to push his buttons, and unfortunately we had to punish you." "Like breathe." She critically said. "I wonder how Frank would feel hearing you talk like this." "Like the real Carol Foster that my younger self had as a child." "Im not her anymore." Her mother blinked back tears. "No you're not her." Carol smiled. "You're an amazing mom to Al J.t. Brendon lily Mark and Karen." "Im not amazing mom to you to." She reminded her. "Only when I don't need one anymore." "Dana I don't want to get into this here." "You said Rich left because of me just like dad left." "Im not the problem." "I know you're not honey. Dana stayed quiet. "Why isn't Rich visiting you?" Carol this time asked. "I honestly don't know why but it doesn't even matter. I don't need a man to stand by my side." She tried to keep up her normal strong attitude but her mother saw through it. "Rich isn't some man Dana he's the one." "Im not sure anymore." Her mom looked at her with curiosity. "Is this about Harvard?" Dana was tired of hearing that question. "No. not everything is about Harvard." "Well im glad to hear that." Carol said catching Dana off guard. "These last few years education has always been important to you. You wouldn't let me marry … because you wanted me to go to college." "Why the sudden change of views?" "Education is very important. Family friends and boyfriends are too." "Lately your mind is always on Harvard and that's not a bad thing but it's not good either." "Don't forget the important people in your life the ones who love and support your dreams." "Rich doesn't support Harvard." "You know that's not true." "He only supports it if he can go and I don't want that." "You two frequently talked about marriage." "You even tried to elope." She had a vacant expression on her face. "If you had really gone through with that marriage wouldn't he follow you to Harvard anyway?" She asked. Dana knew her mother had a point there but she was too stubborn to care. She stuck to the same talk she had with J.t. She told her mother everything she had told J.t. a couple days earlier. Her mother listened to her intently not once interrupting her. Once she was finished her mother only said one sentence. That sentence would continue to play in her head for months to come. "Maybe this is your of telling yourself that Rich isn't the one." She softly said. Dana felt the air had been knocked out of her. A somber smile appeared on her lips. She continued to visit with her mother. The conversation landed to Mark a safe topic. Her mind kept replying the words over and over.

A week later had passed again. Dana was finally released from the hospital. She was thankful to be out of that tiny white room. She stood on her family porch wanting for J.t. to open the door. "Got it yet?" She impatiently asked. "Hold your horses barky." She wondered how hard it was to put a key into a key hole. She heard him sigh in frustration. "Why won't it work?" He asked out loud. She looked over his shoulder and saw the key for his apartment in the front door key hole. "Um J.t." She tapped his shoulder. "Just a minute." "J.t. you have th- "I Said just a minute!" He yelled. She stood back holding her hands up. "Fine use the wrong key." He turned to face her. "I don't have the wrong k….." She pointed to the keyhole. He looked down at it. Sure enough his red key for his apartment was in the keyhole. "Not a word to anyone." She laughed. "Not making promises nimrod." He pulled the key from the hole and inserted the silver key into it. He finally opened the front door. "Finally." She yelled in exasperation. "I never thought I see you so happy to be home." He commented. "I have to pee." She said through clench teeth. "You could have used the bush." She slapped him with her bag that her mother had brought two weeks earlier. "I AM NOT A DOG YOU MORON!" "Surprise!" Everyone yelled. Dana turned her attention to the living room. Her blended family along with extended family member's gather around the living room. Appetizers were spread about the coffee table. A banner hung above the fireplace. A clear fire hazard but she decided to let it go. She opened her mouth to formally greet everyone but her mouth of their own. She pointed towards the stairs. "I have to pee but great seeing you all." J.t. laughed behind her. She pushed him on her way to the stairs. She could her the faint sound of laughing. She figured J.t. must've fell. She continued her way up the stairs. She couldn't believe they threw a surprise party for her. She hardly deserved it. If anything Mark did with his injuries. He had left the hospital with a few stiches and a broken wrist. She knew her mother and Frank were trying to find all the information they could on "The Jackass" to have him punished for hurting a minor. That idiot could have killed her brother. She hoped they found him. She made her way to the bathroom. It felt nice to be back home. She started thinking back to when they first moved into this house. She had just turned twelve when they finally found this house. Her grandmother had been the one to find it after months of them living with her.

Flashback

Dana sat on the fence outside watching the horses eat grass. She loved being at her grandmothers farm it reminded her of being at Coppers. Her former foster family that had been ripped away from her. Being on the farm brought some happy memories. It was the best four months of her life. She moved her arm to be more comfortable. She winced in pain as her cast pinched her. It had been five months since the incident with her father. He had come after them for one last time. She knew he wanted her dead. He was going to kill her and her siblings and start over with her mother. He had sickly told her his plan as repeatedly kicked her in the side. He had broken two of her ribs. He had broken her arm by stopping on it until she screamed in agony. He had punched her in the eye as she tried to get away. Once she stopped struggling he had tried to choke the life out of her. It was her mother who had come to her rescue. She had smashed a beer bottle against his head. Even though her mother had saved her life their relationship was still rocky. She still blamed her for never sticking up to him in the past. She hoped one day they could repair their relationship but until her mother could own up to her mistakes she found it highly unlikely. "Dana sweetie we need to go." She turned to the house. Her grandmother stood at the house carrying her younger brother. "Okay." She yelled back. She bid a goodbye to the horses. She jumped down from the fence. Big mistake her ribs still hadn't healed. "Careful Dana." Her grandmother yelled to her. "Im okay grandmother I'll be there in a second." Dana yelled back. She took a deep breathe before making her way back to the farmhouse. The pain was evident on her face but she tried to smile through it. She finally made back to the farmhouse a bit out of breath. Her grandmother scold her for running with broken ribs. "I told her not to neither mamma." Her mother said while coming out of the house. She was rummaging through her purse. "You told me to be careful not to run mother." Her mother's head snapped back up to look at her. "Don't talk back." She said in a sweet voice. Dana glared at her mother. She knew her mother wanted to hit her but since they were on a new path she couldn't do that anymore. "That's enough you two." "We have places to be and people to see so let's head on into the car." "Where are we going?" Her younger sister Karen asked. "To look for a new house." Dana answered her. "Aren't we going to live here with grandma?" Dana took her younger sisters hand with her pulling her away from their grandmother. "Grandma doesn't want us here anymore." Dana harshly answered. She saw the stunned looks on her grandmother and mother's faces. She simply ignored them as he led her sister to the new car her mother had gotten. She made sure Karen was safety buckled in before getting in herself. "Does grandma really want us to leave?" Her sister's big brown eyes looked up at her with sadness in them. "If she wanted us here we wouldn't be leaving. Dana knew it sounded harsh but she didn't care anymore. She wasn't trying to hurt her honest but she was so tired of sugar coating everything for her siblings. What was the point when bad things continued to happen to them? Dana buckled herself in. Her mother shut the door before she got in. "Where's grandma?" She innocently asked. Her mother turned around to face her. She didn't look happy. "Mark had to use the restroom." She coldly replied. "You better stop your attitude once your grandmother comes back." Her mother warned her. "Karen only wanted to know the truth." "It won't last. You won't ever change and will be at the coppers again where we were happy." "You can be happy with me if you gave me that chance." "You've had too many chances you're a horrible mother." She yelled. Her mother reached over and smacked her across the face. Dana held her burning cheek. "See. You're still the same monster." "Sweetie I didn't mean to." "Save it Carol." She hissed. Her mother hesitantly turned back to the front of the car. Her grandmother opened the back door to buckle her baby brother into his booster seat. Dana looked away not wanting her grandma to see her red face. "Dana sweetie you alright?" Her grandmother sweetly asked her. "Im fine." She grumbled. Her grandmother didn't push her. She shut the door and made her to the driver's side of the car.

After a long four hours of silent driving Dana had finally had it. She spoke up. "How far from grandmother are we moving to?" "We have a couple more hours to go." Her grandmother sweetly answered her. "About four and half hours." Her mother answered. "Wisconsin." Dana alarming asked. Carol hearing the fear n her voice turned to face her. "Port Washington Wisconsin honey it's more than hour away from where we use to live." "I promise we won't ever have to go to Janesville." "You don't keep your promises." She muttered. "We are going to stop for some food and restroom breaks." "Her grandmother announced. Dana turned to face the window. She hated Wisconsin her mother knew it but that didn't stop her from wanting to move them back there. She wasn't in the mood to eat and she didn't have to use the restroom. She closed her eyes. The best thing for her to do was to take a nap. A while later she felt someone nudging her. She groaned. She hated being woken from a good sleep. "What!" she groggily snapped. "Dana Louise Foster don't snap at me." Her mother scold her. "Don't call me that name." She snapped back. Her grandmother came over as she was rubbing her eyes. "Dana sweetie we are here." She unbuckled her seatbelt and hurriedly got out. "I can't believe I slept that long." She was surprised. "Mark and Karen are already inside." Dana thanked her grandmother before walking into the light tan two story house with red trimmed windows. She walked up the red brick staircase. The outside the house looked better than any other place she lived with her mom. That was a good sign so far. She open the dark wooden door. She stepped in to what looked like a living room. It was nice looking. It was a pretty big size there was even a fireplace and built in book case. She looked to her left and noticed a set of stairs. She decided to check out the kitchen first. She walked over to a brown swinging door. She found Karen and Mark sitting at a dark oak picnic kind of table. "Hey." She greeted them. "This kitchen is nice." Karen commented. "It's the biggest kitchen we've ever had." Dana said. "What's through that door?" "You two didn't check?" She asked them. They shook their heads. "We was waiting for you." Mark said. "It's were." Dana corrected. "Were." Mark corrected himself. She went to check what was behind the door. It was small area. Could be a playroom or storage room. "It's only an empty room. She shut the door. She led her siblings up the back stairs. "Let's check out the bedrooms" They passed by a large room. Dana took a peek into it and saw a connecting bathroom. She turned to her siblings. "I think this is Carol's room." They nodded. "Where's are our rooms?" Mark asked. She led them down a hallway to a door. She opened to see the second biggest room in the house. "I guess this is one of them. "It's so big." Karen exclaimed. "There's a bunk bed." Mark excitedly said. He went to go sit on the top bunk. While Karen checked out the closet space. Dana liked it but it didn't suit her. She left her siblings to wander the room while she look for the last bedroom. She found it around the corner. She opened it and starred in awe. "It was beautiful room. Obviously it was girl's room. There was a large canopy bed in the middle. A white book shelf by the door. A window seat to overlook the front yard. It had two closets. It was the smallest of the three rooms but it has such nice character. She could she herself in this room. "Hey baby girl how do you like the room?" She jumped. She turned around to see her mother standing by the door. She couldn't let her mom know she loved the room. Her mom would think she was coming to accept their family becoming one again and that simply wasn't the case. She didn't want to slap again so she went with a safe choice. "It's doable." She casually said. She turned back around to check out the closets. She knew Karen needed a lot of closet space. "Dana how do you like the space?" Her grandmother asked her. "It's doable." She repeated. She didn't have to turn around to know that they were smiling from ear to ear.

End of Flashback.

Dana walked back down the stairs to start greeting her guests. All eyes appeared on her as she descended down the stairs. She walked over to where J.t. stood. "Enjoy your pee." He teased. She pinched his arm. "Owe." "What is this?" She whispered. "Carol thought it be a great idea to have a welcome party for you and Mark." He whispered back. "Dana." She smiled as her grandmother came over to embrace her in a hug. "Hello grandma." She hugged her back. Her grandma pulled away. "I heard about the situation. How are you?" Her grandmother flashed her a sympathetic smile. She was confused. What situation was she talking about? Cause it couldn't have been… "What situation?" She noticed the way people turned away from her awkwardly. "You know losing the baby." Her ears burned red. She knew. They all knew about her "Fake miscarriage." She politely excused herself. She walked into the kitchen. J.t. of course was right behind her. "Dana." He softly called. "Who told?" "You had to expect this." He told her. "I didn't expect a party nor did to have my business spread everywhere." She yelled. "At least you don't have to tell Rich." He said. "Rich is here." J.t. nodded. She sighed. "Great." "I thought you be happy. Your plans are coming together." "Im not sure what my plans are anymore." She hissed. "Wait. You were thinking about your other options?" She shrugged. "Possibly." He pushed her towards the door. "Go tell him that." "My grandmother just announced to every one of my miscarriage." She used air quotes around miscarriage. "So? You're his girlfriend your word matters not theirs." He did make a good point. "Go." He urged. "It's time for him to know the truth." She knew he was right but it didn't make it any easier to say. "Fine." "Do I have to push you through the door?" She smacked him on the arm before going to the living room. "Vicious." He yelled after her. She rolled her eyes. Her mother rushed over to her. "I am so sorry we figured telling them was for the best." She put on a fake smile. "It's fine." She waved her mom off. "Rich can I speak to you outside please." "Yeah." She walked out the front door. She waited for him out on the porch. He came out a couple minutes later. "So…" He awkwardly said. "You heard what my grandmother said." "Yeah." She closed her eyes as he awkwardly looked away. This is going bad. "I um- "Dana I know your angry at me and you have every right to be." "I wasn't there when you needed me. I'd been kind of a jerk." She opened her eyes in shock. "What?" She 9questioned. "Dana I didn't mean to come off as a jerk." "Why didn't you visit me more in the hospital?" She blurted out. "I got jealous of that doctor." She knew that wasn't the full reason. He was acting weird before he met William. "Don't use him as an excuse. You have been acting weird for a while now." "I don't know what to say." "Are you cheating on me?" He looked at her with anger. "Cheating! He exclaimed. You think im cheating on you again?" "You been distant careless rude and short with me." "Not true." He denied. "You called me a cold hearted bitch." "We haven't had sex since I found out about the paper." "You didn't show up right away when Mark got hurt even though you were with him when it happened. "After you found out I was pregnant you kept badgering me to let you follow me to Harvard." "When I declined again, you stopped visiting me at the hospital." "Okay I haven't been the greatest boyfriend." He tried to play it off. She look at him with disbelief. "Rich where were you?" "Did J.t. tell you that he threatened me?" Rich tried to change the subject. She caught on to him. "Yes but nobody ever listens to J.t." "He seemed serious. After I made sure you were okay I kept my distance." "Where did you stay?" "Here where I live." "Really?" J.t. said you haven't staying here." "When did you get so close to J.t?" He questioned. "We aren't close." "Why do you keep dodging my questions?" "Im not." He protested. "I'm having a hard time believing you're not cheating on me." "I am not cheating on you right now." "Okay." "So you believe me?" He asked her. "I want to." "Okay then were good?" He asked. She nodded. He reached over to hug her. She hesitantly hugged him back. "Im sorry we lost the baby." He muttered into her hair. Her breathe hitched in the back of her throat. "Rich we actually have to talk about that." He moved out the hug to look at her face. "I know. We will but you should enjoy your party." "Hard to when people are staring at me like im the swamp monster." "You lost a baby. They think their helping by being sympathic." "Don't worry I'll be by your side the whole time." "I promise I won't disappear again without telling you." She smiled. "Okay." "I love you." He added. "I love you?" This was the first time her "I love you." Sounded more like a question then the truth. They both walked into the house their hands intertwined. Rich had the biggest grin on his face. To him everything had been resolved. She wasn't so sure it was. Regardless she put a smile on her face and started greeting people. She hugged her younger stepbrother. She had really missed him around the house. He had gotten a whole foot taller. He was taller than j.t. and kept rubbing it in his face. She couldn't help but laugh at j.t.'s face. J.t. would never get over his younger brother being taller than him. She ran into Cody as she was getting a drink from the kitchen. She hadn't noticed him. He hadn't immediately went up to hug her like he normally did. She found out why when she entered the kitchen. It shocked her a lot. There was Cody struggling to bottle fed two babies at the table. Yeah two babies! She hadn't even known he was seeing anyone. "Hey Danaburger." He greeted. "Need some help?" She offered. "Psh yeah it's a lot harder than I thought." She grabbed the baby that moving a lot. She made sure to cradle its head. He handed her the bottle. "Thanks." He thanked her. "Your welcome. How did this happen?" He looked at her amused. "I mean know how this happened." "I just didn't know you were a father." "Yeah she had them three months ago." "What are they?" "Oh let me introduce you." "This here is Mackenzie Carol Lambert." "Named after the only women in my life that actually treated like I was her kid." "She's the closet and best thing to a mom I have." Dana tried to smile at that. "The one you're holding is Meredith Dana Lambert." Named after an amazingly strong smart and beautiful women that I know." She looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Awe Cody." "That's really sweet." "Psh yeah." He chuckled. She couldn't but laugh. "They are both beautiful." She commented. "This one's a little eater." She motioned to Meredith. "Not when I feed her." "She must like you." "Where's there mother." Cody face went from happy to stoic. "She left." "She died?" Dana asked. "She took off two days after the girls were born." "Oh Cody im so sorry." "She wasn't the mother type." "You're raising them alone?" "Yeah I know it's crazy." She nodded. "I was going to put them up for adoption." "Why didn't you?" She harshly asked. "Im not judging." She added. "Yeah you are." She instantly felt guilty. "It's okay Uncle Frank and Carol judged too." "Having a baby is tough. Having two is nuts. They both always have to eat at the same time. They have to be burped. They have to have their diapers cleaned. They need baths. You have to buy them a lot of stuff. You have to take them to the doctors for checkups and shots." "It's a lot. You never really get anymore sleep." "You probably thinking then why do it." "Im their dad their daughters." "The minuet they were born my world stopped. They changed it but for the better." "You want good things out life then you gotta take the bad." "The lack of sleep the lack of social life. The not going on any more trips. Having to sell my van their mom leaving. All bad but it's worth it to have these two." "These two make life all the more rewarding." Dana looked down at the baby. She had finished her bottle. She removed it so she wouldn't suck air. She gently picked her up and began to burp her. "You'll love being a mom." She shook her head. "I see my grandmother's announcement. "No Carol told me." "Then wh- "I lived with a pregnant women for eight months and I was there for Carol's." "You're glowing your still pregnant." She looked up at him in shock. "I don't know why people think you had a miscarriage." "I had j.t. convince my doctor to tell everyone I had one." "You must have done it for a good reason." "You're not going to judge me for it." "Danaburger you always do the right thing in the end." Dana didn't know what to say to that. "She's not burping." Try small circles and softer pats." She did as he said and not even a minute later had she burped. Followed by a second one. She helped him put them to sleep in the baby bassinets that were set up in Frank and Carol's room. They stayed there for a while talking while watching the babies sleep.

It was two hours later and then party was officially over. She said goodbye to everyone. She thanked them for coming. She cheered once the last of the people left. "You're happy." Al commented. "I've had to pee for the last twenty minutes." "Why didn't you go?" J.t. asked with a mouth full of cheesecake. "J.t. talk after you chew Dana couldn't have understood you." Her mother told him. She surprised everyone when she answered him. "I couldn't. Everyone wouldn't stop hugging me and giving me their condolences." "You should have faked having a headache like I did." Mark said from behind her. "You don't have a headache. I been calling your doctor for the past hour." Carol said. Mark went to sit on the couch Al went to help him. "Dana?" "Hmmm." "You have to pee." She clasped her hands together. "Right." "Excuse me." She told her family before racing to the stairs. "She's been peeing a lot. Karen said. "So?" Al questioned. "Al she's peed four times since she got home." "You know it's not normal." "Can we not talk about Dana's Vagina?" Rich chocked on the soda he was drinking. He started coughing. "Hands up Rich." Frank hit him on the back. "Were talking about her bladder not her vagina you idiot." Al said. "Her bladder's in her vagina." J.t. pointed out. Rich finally caught his breathe. "No more vagina talk." Carol and Frank said at the same time. "When is my vagina going to start getting hair daddy?" Lilly innocently asked. The kids minus Rich all burst into laughter. Frank picked up Lily and told her it was time to get ready for bed. Carol turned to her kids not amused. "J.t don't talk like that in front of Lily." She scold him. "Didn't she have the sex talk?" Brendon asked. "Yeah doesn't she already about penises and vaginas." Al said. "Doesn't matter. This conversation is inappropriate." "Lilly's gone now. Talking about Dana's vagina problems aren't inapporaite." "She's our sister's its inappropriate." Al said agreeing with Carol. "Aunt Carol I need your help." "Okay Cody." She turned to her five kids and Rich. "No more of body parts talk. Once she was upstairs J.t. turned back to Al. "You talked about her vagina." "Why are you so obsessed with Dana's vagina?" Karen asked. "Im not obsessed with her vagina." "No more talking about Dana with the words vagina or penises." "Which one does barky have?" J.t. joked. That earned him laughs from Mark Karen and Brendon. It earned a glare from Rich and a pillow thrown to his chest. The impact made him drop his cheesecake. He bent down to pick up the mess before Carol came back downstairs. "How crazy is it that Cody is dad." Karen brought up. "It's weird. I feel like were in the twilight zone." Al said. "I can't believe he sold his Van." J.t. said. "He sold his Van." Everyone said in shock. "Well it's not in the driveway." J.t. pointed out. "He flew here." "Dana told me too." "You two have been spending a lot of time together." Al said. "So?" J.t. questioned. "It's weird. What does she have over you?" Al asked. "Nothing." "Why you spending so much time with her?" "How much time have they been spending together?" Rich asked. "The whole two weeks you weren't around." Al sassed him. "Yeah Rich where were you for those two weeks?" J.t. said turning the conversation over to him. Rich stumbled over his words. "I uh um went um I was busy." He stuttered out. "Too busy to be with your girlfriend." J.t. commented. "J.t. your happy I wasn't there." "Yeah it was nice not having a rat there." "I would have been there if you hadn't threatened me." J.t. rolled her his eyes. "Oh please you visited her twice after I threatened you." "What Mad reason did you have for stopping?" He pit the emphases on Mad." They along with Al knew why. "What are we all talking about?" Dana said walking in through the kitchen door. She had a bowl of fruit in her hand. She went to sit on the chair next to the couch. "Were watching the girls squabble." Al pointed to the heated argument taking place in the middle of the living room. "My business is not yours J.t." "You keep treating barky like crap. How can you do that to someone you love?" "Your one to talk." "You were all over that premed student/doctor." Brendon turned to Mark for help. "Tall tan curly blonde hair with ocean blue eyes." "She was so hot." Mark was in a love daze. Brendon was imagining her and was in the same love daze. Al looked at them disgustingly. "I was not. She was giving me updates on Mark." "You two were little to affection for updates on Mark." Al agreed. "Looked like you wanted to explore her northern regions." Karen started laughing uncontrollably. Dana couldn't help but chuckle either. Soon Brendon was laughing along with them. "I don't get it." Mark said. "Dork." Al coughed. "Bitch." Mark coughed. Al wacked him across the leg with a pillow. "I just got out of the hospital." "That's why you're not getting a slap across the head." Dana turned back to the two idiots arguing. "Well maybe we shouldn't live together anymore." Rich suggested. "I couldn't agree more." J.t. said. "Fine I'll move out in the morning." "What you can't go!" Dana yelled. "I can't live with this judgmental buffoon anymore." "Well I can't live with this lying sneaky no good rat anymore." J.t. yelled. Dana shook her head. "You two are acting like an old married couple." Al took the words right out of her mouth. "Rich you're not moving out. J.t. kitchen now." She demanded. J.t. grumbled as he followed her into the kitchen.

Dana walked into her room. She had a headache. She collapsed face first onto her bed. "Ruff night Dana?" Al asked her. "You have no idea." She muttered. "Things didn't go well with dumb and dumber?" Al asked. She flipped herself around. She was still on her stomach but she was facing Al now. "Those two are complete an utter dumbasses." Karen walked into the room. "Don't mind me im going straight to bed." "Good." Al rudely said. "It's okay. We were talking about Rich and J.t. you can listen if you want to." Al didn't say anything. Karen looked up surprised. "Um sure." Dana got into detail about how the conversation with J.t. had gone. How he had tried to dodge the conversation with her problems but she wouldn't let him. She kept asking him what he meant when he called Rich those things. J.t. had told her that Rich had changed into a jerk. She had told him that it shouldn't be a problem since J.t. wasn't a saint himself. J.t. had told her that Rich was worse than he was and that he couldn't take it anymore. He said it was life. That people grow apart. He said he was completely fine living alone. Al didn't buy it for a minute. "Please those two can't stay away from each other that long." "Rich will be back here begging to be J.t.'s roommate within a week." Karen added. "That's exactly what I said." "Then what happened?" Al asked. "Then I talked to Rich." "That conversation is what brought on this headache." She went to say that Rich had been incredibly stubborn. He basically said it was all j.t's fault. He blamed j.t for starting a fight in front of everyone again. He blamed j.t. for turning me against him when that wasn't true at all. He said that j.t had turned into a completely different person. She said that wasn't necessary a bad thing. He had completely yelled at her. He had said that if she really cared she be on his side not J.t's. She said she was on his side but that he was being a jerk. Rich got so annoyed he walked out in the middle of the conversation. "That's how I spent my night." "Those two buffoons are so dramatic." Al said. "Well goodnight I need sleep." "Goodnight." Karen whispered. "Im going to go take a shower. Al grabbed her robe before exiting the room.
