Over the Next 2 weeks Luke slowly started to improve his speech was still rather slurred and he still was having trouble saying certin words but he was much better then he had been.

Anyway this morning at the Rehab center Luke's physical theraphist had come into his room and asked him if he was ready to try and see if he could walk at all.

" Good Mornin' Luke how are you this fine day my name is Melinda Macintosh so are you ready to see if you can walk at all ?". asked Melinda

" Well... I.. I.. guess so I'm a l..ittle nervous". said Luke

" Well Honey that is perfectly normal don't you worry none you'll be just fine". Melinda said reassuringly

So as Luke was on his way to see if his legs at all work the same over in town the mysterious stranger was arriving in the courthouse.

" Alright you dipstick for a Sheriff why in the heck did you arrest my men for you dummy!." shouted Mr. Barker

" I arrested um for the fact that they committed a hit and run last night when they hit Luke Duke with their car". explained Rosco

" Well all I can say is that they are dummies for letting you arrest them they weren't supposed to get caught ". said Mr. Barker

" Well too late they are arrested now and bail has been set for 1,0000000000. million dollars ". said Rosco

" Look if I pay their bail would you let them go I got enough money for their bail ". said " Mr. Barker

" Sorry sir but no they are going to the state pen tomorrow morning and they will remain their for life". said Rosco

Then Mr. Barker asked Rosco if he could have a moment for with them and he told him that would be fine ".

So he walked on over to the their cell with a very mad look on his face and then he started exploding on them.

" I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOU FOOLS GOT YOURSELVES ARRESTED NOW THIS SCREWS UP MY PLANS".exclaimed Mr. Barker

" But sir we got Luke Duke out of the way he is in the hospital and he is pretty much out of commission " said Parker

" Well at least you got the job done but he better not be able to identify me ". said Carl Barker

" No sir he won't be no trouble to you at all I pretty sure that boy is suffering now then Carl gave an evil laugh and then he gave an evil grin .

Meanwhile the Dukes was just now arriving at the rehab center to see how Luke was doing and his doctor met them in the front hallway and he had a big smile on his face.

" I have good news for y'all Luke is doing better unfortunately he still has quite a long road to go but all in due time will he be better". said Doc Macdonald

" So does that mean we can take Luke home soon cause we really do miss him the farm ain't been the same without him". said Bo

" Well he can go home now but you'll have to keep an eye on him and he can't be left alone for long ". said Doc

" Wow that is great news doc I can't believe it we can actually take Luke home this is gonna be great!". said Bo excitidly

Meanwhile in the physical theraphy room Luke was trying his best to learn to walk again but he just was having a little trouble getting his legs to work correctly .

" I don't want to do anymore I am pooped my legs feel like jello I just want to go home please ". said Luke

" Well Luke I got good news for ya you can walk but unfortunately you are gonna have to remain in a wheel chair for now until you get your strength back in your legs". explained Melinda

Later on that afternoon the dukes signed Luke's release papers and Bo put Luke into Jesse's pick-up since that would be easier for Luke to get out of then the General.

" So Luke is you happy to be home I bet you missed your bedroom and riding in the General with Bo didn't ya boy ?". asked Jesse

" I sure did Uncle Jesse I'm jusst glad to be back home i ca...n't be...ileve that this happened to me ".

" Well the good news is that you is home and you can recover around your family rather then at that other place". said Jesse

" Well Uncle Jesse I guess it's like they say Home is Where the Heart Is and I really am glad to be home ". said Luke

As for them hoodlums that caused O'l LUke's wreck well they was sent off to the state pen early this morning and hopefully never show their faces in Hazzard again.
